Only because there is no ipad section yet how will apple do updates

has apple come out and said if the ipad updates will be free like the iphone or will we have to pay for it like the touch. I hope they dont make us pay for it that would be the final nail in the coffin for me.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities
First, when you are going to turn off or restart your Mac, you will see a box called "Reopen windows when logging back in" in the shutdown or restart window. Untick this box and see if the App Store opens automatically in the next startup.
If it starts, open System Preferences > Users and Groups > Login Items, and see if the App Store shows up. If so, remove it from this list

Is there a way to find out how many ESS driven updates to data over a period of time have been done.

Assuming that all end users are accessing the back end via Portal, we figured out the answer.

Today the iPad was released in Austria ... BUT ... You can NOT buy it in the AppleStore online!?!?!?
It is sold at retail stores only and - as you can guess - they were sold out 5 minutes after the shops opened
There is no information at the AppleStore hotline why it isn't available or when it will be available ...Well done Apple!

I cant update my iphone 3g because there's an error 0xE00000A. How can I get my iphone updated?

When I went on itunes and I plugged my iphone in a box came up and there was an error 0xE00000A. I need to update my phone because all of my apps are crashing, the screen goes dark, my phone is really slow, and I have to push the home button at least twice to get to passcode screen to unlock my phone. I'm having lots of trouble with my phone and I can't even update it. Would it be worth $400 to upgrade to the 4g? But why should I pay $400 if my phone doesnt work theway its suppose to? What do I do? Help?!

I'm trying to download Mavericks on my 2007 imac version 10.6.8. When I attempted to, it said "Install Failed: OS X could not be installed on your computer. OS X can't be installed on the disk because a recovery system can't be created. Visit www.apple.com/support/no-recovery to learn more" I've tried other discussions and they say you must erase your disc, but I want to make sure I have a back up of version 10.6.8 first. I'm not sure where my CD ROMs are that came with the computer to download the start up disc. This forum suggested changing the partition manually in the Disc Utility, but when I went there, there was no partition to change. Any thoughts? Do I just have to hunt down my start up disc download? Is there a way to download Disc Recovery???

Go into your system profiler and tell us your Machine Identifier that says:
iMac x,y (give us the x and y values)
That will tell us whether you are Mavericks compatible or not.
Also tell us how much RAM you have installed.

I can't get e-mail. Keeps refusing my password, or telling me there may be "missing resources" yet my non-Apple accounts all work just fine.

Having trouble all of a sudden--Mail keeps rejecting my password. If I sign on to iCloud, password works fine. Claick on Mail from iCloud, and it will not load, citing "missing resources" or "trouble with server". Same problem from my iPhone. Not sure how or where to report the problem--there aren't a lot of "contact Apple" links (at least I can't find any that will reply to a problem).
I have tried turning off the computer, and I have tried updating it. I have no idea what is doing this, but I need to get e-mail soon from some source! My work depends on it.
Any suggestions?

Hello All,
To anyone with the same problem described above, on THEIR iPad (if it is running iOS 7.0.2):
Go to Settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; DELETE your *******@btinternet.com e-mail account, that you originally set up either using 'Other', or the 'BT' option which I am sure was in the list previous to the iOS 7 update.
Then ADD a NEW account choosing YAHOO from the list of options. DO NOT USE 'OTHER'.
Enter the correct details just as you (almost certainly) had already done in your previous attempts using 'other'.
When you see the 'verifying......' and 'the blue ticks' you should be able to exit settings and open your mail app and then receive all your 'old' e-mails again, AND be able to SEND as well.
All my 'old' e-mails, were NOT found in the 'old e-mail' folder though. THEY are still in my inbox.
So this fix worked for me.
After I deleted my account from 'OTHER' and put it in Yahoo, I like other people also ended up with more folders.
I hope this works for you on YOUR Apple devices.

Help. My Mail is only checking one out of three accounts for new mail.
I have gone through the settings and nothing is obvious as to why.
It has happened since Apple recent security update which may or may not be a coincidence.
I cant see it being the ISP who provide the emails. it just doesnt seem to be checking.
Any ideas please?

Could it be that those accounts are in an "offline" state? Is the Mailbox > Go Online command enabled or disabled for them?
Go to Preferences > Accounts > Advanced. Is Include when automatically checking for new mail checked or unchecked?
Does manually checking for mail work?

If you haven't changed your sync preferences, meaning that you are not trying to add more content from the last time that you synced with iTunes, try quitting iTunes, restart your computer and then try again.
If you are trying to add more content to the iPad than what you had before, you can only use so much of the available storage capacity that is left on the device. You probably need to leave about 10% of the space free so if you have a 16GB iPad, you might not have enough space left to sync that content that you are trying to sync.

The iPad cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional 2.53 GB required).

I purchased some children's books from iTunes on my Mac computer and then tried to sync to my iPad and received the note that " The iPad cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional 2.53 GB required)."

Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.
