Only email lists showing, but will not display the message.
My email (gmail) will only show the list of messages. When you click on it and select a message it does not bring up the usual message screen. It stays blank and tells me no message selected, but I do have one selected. The mail list will slide to the left like its bringing the message up, but does not. Help.
Quit the mail app completely. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Launch mail again
Or ....Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

There is a badge with the number 1 on my "App Store" icon, but when I go to see what needs to be updated, the App Store does not display the app that has an update nor does it say that there are no updates available. Basically the place that tells me these things, is completely blank. I have the word "Updates" at the top of the screen and I can see an icon on the bottom right corner area that has the cirlce with a down arrow and the word "Updates" with a badge with the number 1 in it.
The iPad 2 has 6.1.2 for the iOS. I have already closed the app out completely by closing the app in the multitasking section and then restarting it. This does not correct the issue. I have also restarted the iPad 2, however this did not correct the issue either.
If anyone has seen this and knows it is a glitch in the software, and that Apple is aware of it, please let me know. If anyone knows how to correct this, please let me know. Thanks.The update server is down; try this temporary workaround

When I drag and drop a website icon from the Forefox address bar to the desk top, the short cut is created but the icon that appears is the firefox Icon. I want to disply the icon from the website that the short cut refers to. I have checked all I can think of in my computer to no avail.
You have to assign the favicon yourself to the desktop shortcut (right-click the shortcut: Properties) after you have dragged the link to the desktop.
You can usually find the favicon in Tools >Page Info > Media and save the icon there.
Otherwise use the main domain of the website and add favicon.ico (e.g. mozilla.com/favicon.ico ) to display the favicon in a tab and save that image to a folder. -
My mac is connected but will not display webpages
My mac says I'm connected to wireless interent, but will not display the webpage. It says that it is not connected to the interent. My hp computer is working though. Does anyone know what is causing it not to connect to the interent and what I can do to get it to connect?
ThanksMake sure in the network settings that you arent trying to connect to the internet through a Proxy server, unless you actually are of course. Make sure the connection you are using is set to get its IP address via DHCP automatically, and that the router you are connecting to is set up to do so.

Page loads but will not display
I have an IP address that allows me to view my cctv cameras.It works fine with Internet Explorer,but when i enter the same address in to my safari browser the page seems to load but will not display anything.
I assume its some thing do with my internet security settings but do not now where to find them to allow this site. Can any one help please.
ThanksTry temporarily turning off your firewall via SystemPreferences>Security>Firewall. If the site then works you can turn the firewall back on and specifically allow Safari.

My Mac Air iphoto will display thumbnails but will not display photos in any way - single photo / slideshow etc - any ideas?
Are you seeing this
when you double click on a thumbnail file? If so it's an indication that the file path/link between the thrumbnail and original, full sized file has been broken. Therefore, and assuming you're running iPhoto 9 or later, try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database.

Hey Gurus I've just shot a seminar, three cameras, Cannon's reasonably new XA20HD's. File format 1920X1080 MP4 17mbs 25 frames. Am running PremProCS6. I import the files into Prem, they come in ok but will not display. Got a yellow bar and a yellow Media Pending screen. What the? Have to cut this stuff soon! Wont even import into Media Encoder. Says there are no usable streams in the media! Just saw a podcast title about stress in the editing business. Better listen to the one! Any help would be most appreciated. J.
Copy ALL contents of SD card to a folder on edit hard drive. not just video clips, everything. Then in Premiere, import using Media Browser (tab at lower left of Premiere screen). This usually does the trick. There is metadata contained in the SD card files that is needed, not just the video clips alone.

I meant holding the "option" (or "alt") key on your keyboard as you click the Outlook icon on the Dock, and continuing to hold it until you see the Microsoft Database Utility come up. Alternatively, you can open the utility by navigating to Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office and then double-clicking the Microsoft Database Utility app.
When you rebuild your database using that program, a backup copy of your original database (containing your account info, contacts, mail, calendars, etc) will be created. As a security precaution, you should also ensure you have a backup of your database (which you can find by going to Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2011 Identities/ and copying the contents of that folder onto an external drive). -
Bookmarks show but will not open help!
We have to open online texbook and the bookmarks won't open went to chrome plugin and disabled chrome and enabled adobe and the bookmarks will expand but will not open, the website informed me on process, but can still only see front page of the book.
Can you go to the pages in the regular way?

Communicator 9300i will not display the Blackberry...
I have Communication 9300i which I have installed the Blackberry Connect software on to but it does not display the Blackberry serivce in the messaging section.
I have unistalled the software a couple of times and reinstalled it, but to no avail.
Any advice please.I figured out that the score editor is very unstable. When I open the score editor, and it shows the notes for the region I clicked on, I now know to be sure to only click on the white, lit area of the stave to increase the view to either multiples of the same region, or the full score. If I click on the gray area, then the whole thing goes black and "create a MIDI region" appears, and the score editor will no longer come back. Also, do not ever click on a region when the score editor is open, or the whole thing goes black again.
The score editor is very unstable, and must be opened and closed with care. Once the "create a MIDI region" prompt comes up, it is impossible to get the score editor to open again, unless you open the specific score editor window, but that will not display the full score. -
I placed my aperture library on a 1 TB external drive (the file is 300 GB) and Aperture churns and churns but will not open the file. I don't know if the file is too large or if it is the external drive or what? any ideas? Smaller files will open. This is very annoying.
If this is an external USB drive, you must understand that USB is really, really slow. There may be nothing wrong except for that.
In my opinion, USB external drives are only acceptable for backups, and to get "near Hard Drive" performance, you need FireWire. -
Put in a CD from a textbook for school...it will bring up the files but will not play the CD... what do I do? Need fast help please!!
If it's a windows only dvd you'll need windows. i don't think you want to go to the trouble of installing windows on your mac right now. Don't you have a friend or relative who will let you use their windows computer?

I have an Apple Power Mac G5 Dual 2.3 GHz/6GB RAM/500GB HDD/Superdrive PowerPC Desktop and just bought an Airport Extreme card for it. The card is recognized but will not see the in-house network. This is a pre-intel computer. Do I need an additional antennae? If so, which one because my research is confusing me about what is supposed to work with this computer.
