Only google will load!

I have a very strange problem which has just started today. In OS X I cannot access any websites other than google, which works with no problems at all. However when I open Vista (using vmware fusion) all websites work!
I am connected to the internet wirelessly using airport. I have tried disabling firewalls in OSX and on the router, restarting the router, restarting the mac - all to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You're much better off using opendns.com's DNS servers:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
The other DNS servers you list belong to gtei.net, about which not a lot is known.
One should never trust random DNS servers as they could provide incorrect information, either accidentally or on purpose.

Internet Problem - One site will load, another won't. Then mintues later, the site that previously would load won't and the one that wouldn't will. I'm also pulling up a lot of pages in all text. Pics won't load or only one will load and the rest won't...

Several weeks ago, I began to have some very strange internet connection issues. All the lights on my modem stay on and my computer shows full wi-fi signal, but I suddenly I won't be able to load any pages. Other times, I'll be able to load pages from one site, but not another. It's not the same sites all the time though.... sometimes I'll be able to load pages from one site and not another, and then 5 minutes later it'll switch and I'll be able to load pages from the site I previously couldn't and I won't be able to load pages from the site I previously could. A lot of pages are coming up just text with no pics... and then 5 mintues later that site will load normally and another site will come up just text. It does the same thing whether I'm connecting wirelessly or via an ethernet cable. It also doesn't matter which browser I use (I've tried Safari, Chrome, and Firefox). Although, once in a while when using chrome, I get a DNS error page instead of the usual 'cannot find server'. I contacted my service provider and I'm not losing speed or dropping packets. According to them, the problem I'm having is very strange since diagnostic tests show no problems at all. Perhaps someone has run into this before and has a suggestion?

Then if you have tried all the browsers try connecting the system to yoour router with an Ethernet cable and turn WiFi off. If you have the same problem then it more then likely after your computer, Router or modem or connection from your ISP.
If you get good browsing with the Ethernet cable then it is either the WiFi card in your Mac or the WiFi system in your router.

Check System Preferences - Accounts
Choose you account - login items: If iTunesHelper
shows up - remove it it will prevent re-installation.
It did not have iTunes in the list, just mail and iCal alarm. Deadlines and emails are vital in my home office.
Now that I think about it, adding Mail to the list was the only thing that I had changed to the computer when this happened, but I can't imagine how that would alter permission to install on the OS.

Hello. I have a macbook air, and yesterday I downloaded Zoo Tycoon 2 (the mac version) to it. It worked fine and i played the game and then went to bed. This morning I woke up and my computer will only load certain websites. It will load google, and facebook, but when I search in google it wont pull up the searches and I cant watch netflix or youtube. Any ideas on what might be wrong and if there is any correlation with the game? I tried to delete everything from the game in hopes that it would make the internet work, but it didnt.

Safari (Mavericks) will open only Google-related pages

I have a 13" Retina MacBook Pro running Mavericks... as of this morning, Safari suddenly will open ONLY Google-related pages (e.g., gmail and google maps). All other websites I try result in the gray page that says, "Safari can't find the server."
The other odd thing that happened this morning (preceding use of Safari) was that when I turned on my MBP, the wireless connection would not connect to my home network. That was temporary--it eventually connected to the network, but then even though it was connected to the network, it could not access the internet connection. All of that then resolved itself (I reset modem and router) and those connections resumed functionality. But then I could not access any web pages, as per my comment above, EXCEPT for Google-related pages.
Steps I have already taken in attempt to resolve:
booted in safe mode
cleared Safari cache
Removed all website data
under Proxies on Preferences -> Advanced tab, selected Auto Proxy Discovery
unchecked and re-checked the Fraudulent sites warning check box on Preferences -> Security tab
Does it have something to do with the Google Safe Browsing Service? Seems so odd that ONLY Google pages will load...

In Recovery Mode, Safari opened every page I tested--i.e., including non-Google pages.
Just rebooted as usual, and Safari is doing the same thing as before--opening only Google-related pages.
Hold the phone... Hallelujah! I just noticed that my Calendar app had not updated with an event I had entered into Calendar via a different device--it should have updated the Calendar on my MBP, since I use iCloud to keep Calendars in sync. I tried Refreshing Calendar several times--no change.
So then I went to Settings -> iCloud to sign out of my iCloud account and sign back in. It wouldn't let me sign out -- got the spinning ball and eventually had to force quit everything, then restart the computer. Went back to the iCloud settings, was able to sign out, and then it told me I had no Internet connection to sign back in. This wasn't really true, since I was able to connect to my gmail via Safari... I followed the prompts, anyway, to diagnose and reset the network and internet connection. Signed back in to iCloud, and voila, Safari started working! [I'm guessing the issue had less to do with iCloud, and more to do with network settings...?]

I would like to know if "Restore Backup" to my new phone will load up all the information I have which backed up from my other phone. I only "clicked" on "Backup" when I connected the new phone to my computer. I was afraid to click on "Restore Backup".

That's up to you. Do you want the data on your old phone on your new phone? If so, you follow the directions here:

Only local calendars will be merged with iCloud. Your Google calendars won't get modified

Ipod will load only a few songs of my library

I have about 341 songs (1.6GB)in my library. When I try to copy all the songs to my 20GB Ipod only 24 (85MB) will load into the Ipod then I get a windows error message that says "Attempting to copy to disk "Ipod" failed. An unknown error occured". I have run check disk on the Ipod in disk mode and have reformated it and restored it. When I look at the Ipod disk in system manager it says the disk is 'healthy' and almost all of it unused. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for your help. I have run CDcheck on all the songs and it says there are no errors. Also I have set the ipod to manual update and have selceted different groups of songs and no matter which shongs I select the update always fails with a -69 error after 22-24 songs; seems to be realted to size and not number of songs.

... well, it looks like our best bet now is trying to swap out your Belkin for an Adaptec 4300. Get one from a store with a good money-back guarantee (like a Best Buy), so if it doesn't work there's no harm and no foul (except for time and effort opportunity costs).

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

Google will not load!!

For the past 3 days, google will not load. Every other website works perfectly and google works on my ipad and pc but not on my macbook! It just says it cannot load because it cannot connect to the server. I have looked up previous discussions and I don't have peer guardian and have tried many things, nothing is working! HELP!!!
