I got BT infinity on friday, and this morning my Home Hub 3 stopped working.
It stays on power light (orange) - won't reset/and does so every time i re-power
So now im without wireless internet as i need a VDSL router right? Still awaiting for BT to reply to me
Having to use ethernet directly to modem to get access.
Any thing else i can try to solve this? Or will i need a new router

TS1741 Remote and Home Sharing stopped working with iTunes 10.7

I have been using Apple Remote to control my Win 7 library as I play it via HDMI through my A/V receiver. I used it on iPad 2, iPhone 4s and iPod Touch 3G, with no problems for several weeks. Just today, however, I cannot get the devices to appear on the iTunes device list, and cannot access the library remotely. I have tried all devices while connected to the same network [tried this with three different networks]. I have turned off firewalls and anti-virus. I have rebooted and reset routers many times. Reinstalled iTunes. Repaired Bonjour. Confirmed port forwarding in routers and in firewalls. Confirmed account names and passwords.
Airplay works fine.
I believe the problem is in an iTunes or Windows setting that might have changed during an automatic update, but I can't find it. Any ideas? Similar experiences? I know a lot of ATV issues have come up with other users, but these don't seem similar to my issue.

Somehow, this seems to have been resolved. The only changes I made were:
1) I disabled the wireless adapter in my Media server, and enabled the wired LAN adapter. Both are on the same router [192.168.2.1] I have been using wireless for several weeks without any problem. Of all the changes I made today, this is most likely the one that resolved the problem, for now!
2) I disconnected my Windows Home Server from the Verizon router [192.168.1.1] and connected it to the Linksys router that I use for my Media server. All my devices connect through the Linksys router, and the WHS box was not involved in any way to this sharing function [it is usually asleep]. As stated previously, I have used the Remote functions for several weeks without any troubles. All shared devices must be on the same router, and they have been;
3) I also turned on media sharing for the folder containing my master music files, but this is NOT the same folder containing my iTunes libraries or my iTunes media files. This is only an original folder with the largest versions of all my music files [many that iTunes is unable to read].
I don't know why any of these actions should have recovered my ability to Remote with iTunes, but alas, it "seems" to be working for now.
Summary... Try everything, even if it seems completely unrelated!!!

Home hub stopped working

I have a BT broadband hub, the kind with an ordinary phone socket on the back for using an additional broadband line. It has worked well since installation 2 years ago, but has suddenly stopped working. Broadband and the ordinary phone work perfectly, but the hub phone has suddenly gone dead. I have: 1) checked the phone, by substitution. It works in an ordinary socket, another working phone does not work in the hub phone socket 2) I have reset the hub. All the blue lights show. 3) I have twice rung BT help, and had line tests done, and been talked through the re-setting and other procedures. It has been referred to a special team 4) If I ring the hubphone number from outside it rings a few times and then says the recipient has hung up. What is likely to be wrong? Is there anything I can do, or do I simply wait for BT to sort it out?

BT rang last night to tell me the problem was now fixed.
It isn't, the problem persists.
So we went through the same process yet again - resetting, blue lights, etc. She then tried to phone in on the broadband number, but nothing happened.
We had a long and fruitless conversation while she tried to explain that I had a hub phone. I explained again that it isn't a hubphone, its an ordinary phone that plugs into socket on the back of the black hub. Nonetheless she insisted on taking its model number (Logic bog standard phone from Currys) and then said it wasn't a recognised hub phone. I explained, again that it isn't a hub phone, etc etc.
She disappeared for several minutes to consult someone, and said they will send a new hub.
192.168.1.254 doesn't work, I just get the message that the server cannot be found. So I cannot access phonehub manager.

Iphone in Recovery Mode + Lock and Home Buttons Stopped Working

Hello
Following an update to IOS7 my wifes Iphone 5 restarted and entered recovery mode. I performed a restore in itunes however the device reset and re-entered recovery mode. I performed this serval times.
After downloading a program online which exited the recovery mode for me, i was able to restore my wifes iphone backup with all settings restored etc. So its more or less working.
However i still have the following new problems:
1. Home Buttons not responsive
2. Lock Button not responsive
3. Silent and Volume Buttons Okay.
4. After powering off via the accessbility menu, the recovery mode apears again.
Can anyone help me resolve this fault? The phone keeps entering recovery

Location of Openreach modem and Home Hub (BT Infin...

In my previous property I asked the BT engineer to locate the modem/HH in an upstairs study and this was no problem, no extra cabling required (master socket was in kitchen) all extension sockets still work fine. I moved home and had BT Infinity 2 installed, phone line enabled same day. The house was built in 2007 so has extensions in all the rooms. Looks like the master socket is in the cupboard under the stairs. Although the previous occupier obviously had the openreach modem and home hub located in the lounge, as the mounting screws etc were still there. But here none of the extensions work, the engineer said this is a side effect of moving the master socket. But why was this possible in my previous house?
The engineer installed with the existing screws etc and left it all in the lounge and still none of the extensions work. I'd like my extensions working and the modem/hub located in my upstairs office, how do I arrange for this?

Since this is the second computer you've had this problem with, I recommend you look for answers on the iPhone forum. My thinking is it is an iPhone issue rather than a computer issue (unless it is some software incompatibility).

This should not happen. It might be an indication that something is wrong with the database storing your history and bookmarks, causing Firefox to hang when trying to read through your history (which is what it will try to do when you type in the address bar, to show you your most frequently visited sites).
A cool new feature in Firefox 13 is called "Reset Firefox", and it allows Firefox to fix issues like this easily with just a few clicks. Follow this article to try this out: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems
(Btw, it looks like you're still on Firefox 12, so your first step should be to upgrade. Firefox normally does this automatically after a while, but you can force it by selecting the Firefox button at the top right corner, then point at Help, and then click About Firefox.)

I have hp laptop dv9009us one day all the USB ports and webcam camera stopped working, I had windows XP and tried all solutions posted on online forums didn’t work, I upgraded to windows 7 and still not working, please note that the USB is detected in device manger and it says working properly but he webcam is not detected at all, also when I connect any device to USB it gives it power and I even can charge my cell phone but it doesn’t detect any device. Is there any genius out there that can help me?
