Only half my songs sync to my ipod from itunes...

i recently got a 5th gen nano...and used the same itunes library from my old ipod and just synced it to my new one...but ever since i switched it to my new ipod, i only get half my songs from my itunes! i know i have enough space when i sync my ipod everytime, but for some reason certain songs wont come up...i'll switch to manual and then back to automatic, and then a who new bunch of songs will go missing...but i never have all my songs at any given point in time! i've restored my ipod...and have deleted all my itunes and reloaded every song, just to find the problem is still there...i'm going crazy!! any suggestions i havent tried??? please help!! i'm desperate!!

Try this -> Windows confuses iPod with network drive or hard drive and may keep iPod from mounting or songs may seem to disappear

  • I have a 3rd gen iPod touch and I downloaded the most recent itunes, ever since I did, only the first song syncs to the ipod. As soon as it gets to the second, it xtill says its syncing. However, nothing happens. How do I fix this?

I have a 3rd gen iPod touch and I downloaded the most recent itunes, ever since I did, only the first song syncs to the ipod. As soon as it gets to the second, it still says its syncing. However, nothing happens. How do I fix this? I have restored and updated the ipod. I have the new iTunes. I have restarted my computer checked the connection and everything.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync all music and resync
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Syncing iPad to iPod from iTunes on external hard drive

I had all my music stored on my laptop but was running out of space so I transferred it all to an external hard drive. That's when everything went pear shaped! Tried to sync it all but messed it up. Now I have all songs on iPad, but it won't sync new stuff to iPod plus there is only new songs ( recently purchased ) on iTunes. Would love to know how to sync up iPad to iPod and iTunes so it all matches. Have tried the iTunes info icon but still can't get it to sync. Has anybody had problems with external hard drives when it comes to syncing iTunes?
    Thanks in advance
    Penny

If your library is full of broken links then try fixing them with my FindTracks script, otherwise see this post by forum regular Zevoneer for options on transferring files from the iPad to your computer.
Alternatively, if your iTunes database is missing files that should be in it then perhaps there is a previous iTunes library file kicking around your internal drive somewhere that could be restored and reconnected to your media.  It all depends on exactly what you did to start with. Switching to a new database tends to get things confused as iTunes will want to wipe the device and start over.

  • Album artwork not syncing to my iPod from iTunes.

No problem seeing artwork in iTunes but none of the artwork is syncing to my 160GB Classic. Setting is OK in iTunes to get artwork and show it on my iPod. Please help. I don't know what else to do. Thanks in advance.

It might help to force iTunes to renew all the artwork on the ipod. Disable the option to include artwork, sync, then re-enable it & sync again.
iTunes seems to cope if at least one of the tracks on the album contains art however the Cover Flow & Album views on the iPod only work if they find artwork for track 1, and the now playing screen needs artwork embedded in each track.
To find all the tracks in your libray that don't have artwork use http://www.stum.de/itunes-find-tracks-without-artwork/ for Windows or http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/scripts13.php for Macs.
If you're using a search engine to locate suitable images they should be square, 200x200 pixels or above and ideally borderless to give the best results in the various menus on the iPod.

  • HT204207 Sync podcasts to iPod from iTune in full via USB, no streaming, no WiFi download, good old USB sync transfer.

I want to sync my podcast from my MacBook to my iPod via USB. I do not want to download them individually over WiFi due to a large number or podcasts.
I do not want to stream as I listen to my podcasts offline. I want my podcasts to sync like they use to. I just want all the podcasts that are on my MacBook on my iPod, not in a list ready to stream or ready to download.  I want the actual podcast to copy to my iPod in full via USB. I don't understand why apple have chosen to take this option away. I do not want to covert all my podcasts to "music", because then I don't get the advantage of the podcast app where I can listen to podcasts a 1.5x or 2x speed, among other features.

  • My ipod touch 4th gen will not sync apps to ipod from itunes

I've restored the ipod several times; reinstalled itunes a few times and restarted my computer a number of times.  Ipod will sync the first time after restore and not again.  I'm tired of restore the ipod every time I want to sync it to itunes.  Is there a better solution???

I'm having the same problem with my girl's ipod 4th generation's. I have restored them 4 times now. It works fine after the restore but the very next time it will no longer sync and I have to do the restore again. It's becoming very frustrating.

  • IPod Mini playing only half a song

I'm having a problem with my iPod mini. I uploaded a bunch of cd's onto my iPod last night. During the last cd my computer and iPod froze for about an hour. So I did the unthinkable and unhooked my iPod. Then all of my songs wouldn't play, so I deleted everything. Now when I upload songs, only half the song will play or sometimes the whole song will play but then the next song will only play a few seconds. It's very frustrating! What should I do?

What I suggest doing is using your ipod updater software to reset your mini to Factory Standards. Then, if you receive any problems during updating, there should be a little green keyboard with an arrow on your start toolbar by the time. It's called "Safely Remove Hardware" and you can use that to end the connection with your computer. And usually when compuers freeze, they should go back to normal within at least a day at the longest.

  • ITunes "Updates" every song synced to the iPod every time it is connected

Since the update of iTunes to 9.1.1, every time I connect my 3G iPod Touch (32GB) to my Macbook iTunes "Updates" every song synced to the iPod. I have seen this before when iTunes has a new revision, but it usually only happens the first time the iPod is attached after iTunes is updated. Now, it is happening every time.
I have restored the iPod to its virgin state, but that did not change anything. Any ideas?

  • New songs synced to my ipod wont play, the songs play fine on itunes and appear on ipod but wont play..any help appreciated

New songs synced to my ipod wont play, the songs play fine on itunes and appear on ipod but wont play..any help appreciated

So, if you select one of these songs on the iPods screen, and try to play it, what happens?  The iPod does nothing?  It skips to the next song?
It's possible you will have to do a Restore on the iPod, if there is data corruption on the iPod causing this problem.  The Restore erases the iPod, and removes any corruption.
NOTE:  There may be a hardware problem, such as the iPod's hard drive becoming unreliable, that is causing this problem and data issues.  It may continue to operate as long as its data stays mostly unchanged, but if you do a Restore to update the hard drive's data in a major way, it is possible that the Restore will fail and leave the iPod non-operable.

  • I purchased an album but only half the songs will download. How do I get the other half to download?

I purchased an album but only half the songs will download. How do I get the other half to download?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one.
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)
