Only have Facetime App in Qatar

I've recently brought a iPhone 5S from Qatar, Facetime app is there and works perfectly.  I've just returned from UK on holiday where i noticed the Facetime app had disappeared.  So it only seems to be appear in Qatar.
My phone therefore does have Facetime capability but I really want Facetime for anywhere I go in the world.  Is there anything I can do to make this happen?
Thanks

FaceTime is not  available on devices purchased or used in certain countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This is by government decree. The FaceTime app can't be downloaded or installed on these iPads.

I use to use ichat and now with Mountain Lion I only have FaceTime, will this work as easy as ichat? I try to keep in touch with my son and his family, he has a Mac also. I have never tried to do a video chat with my new Mountain Lion. I have set-up FaceTime and thought I would throw the question out before we try and get together.   Thanks,   Gilbert

Ichat is now called Messages and is in your Applications folder.

Note: FaceTime may not be available, or may become unavailable, on devices purchased or used in certain countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Check your device's region of purchase for more information.

Not if purchased from a Country that does not allow FT.

Setup is in the "Settings" menu. The FaceTime app is built into the telephone application and can be accessed via the contacts list if available for use between you and your recipient.

  • The computer that I had my iphone apps synced to has died and I don't know how to get access to my apps on the new computer. I'm using a Windows pc. I understand that I can only have my apps synced to one computer at a time, but the former pc is dead.

My HP Touchsmart died the other day. My husband works on computers as a hobby and was able to get me up and running on a Dell laptop in no time. I have an iPhone 4s and had all my apps on itunes on my HP. I understand that you can only have your iPhone apps synced to one computer at a time, but what do you do when the computer containing all your info is in unusable condition? I have tried deauthorizing all the computers associated with my account, that did not work. I had this problem once before and finally ( after much blood sweat and tears ) was able to deauthorize the old computer, but it was in working order. Two of the computers that are listed under the iTunes Wi-Fi Sync setting are no longer in use, the HP had my apps synced to it and the other had everything else except my photos, which are on a third computer that is still in use. Please forgive for information overload but am trying to give all the info that I think could be relevant. Your help would be appreciated so much!
    Sincerely,
    PiPI

Or better yet... try a search, I'm certain you'll find a solution to whatever issue you're experiencing.
I have found that many times it is the things that make you most angry that push you to action. This was the case here. Thank you for causing me to get so angry that I found the answer myself.

  • When I look at my Ipod on Itunes on my laptop it is showing that I have a large amount of storage space taken up with Apps. (more than my music). In fact I only have the Apps which came with the ipod touch! How do I get my storage back?

I have an ipod touch 64GB.  I have 3,146 songs, 3 videos, 106 photos and 1 app. The capacity of my ipod is 58 GB (I guess the remainder is the OS), It says I have 7.6GB remaining. When I look at my ipod on Itunes on my laptop the bar at the bottom shows a huge amount of storage space is taken up by Apps.  I don't have any apps apart from the ones which came with the ipod touch which I cannot erase and wouldnt really want to.  I am baffled why it says so much storage has been taken up by Apps! Please help me!!!

Connect the iPod to your computer and look at the storage used by the various categories as shown in the colored bargarph in iTunes.
    Come back with the results.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files.  Usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.
    To restore from backup see:
    iOS: How to back up
To restore to factory settings/new iPod see:

  • How can i openline my iphone 5 and also i dont have facetime app?

how can i openline my iphone 5 and also i dont have facetime application?

Assuming you mean carrier unlocking, contact the cellular provider to determine their unlocking policy, and if YOU qualify. If you have purchased the phone in a region where FaceTime is banned, there is no way to change this.

  • Why my iPhone have full memory when I only have two apps downloaded?

My phone has 15gb. I have only downloaded Facebook and Messenger and now it has 196mb left . Please help me!. (Sorry if I wrote something wrong, I speack Spanish)

Go to Settings / General / Usage / Manage Storage. You will see a list of all the apps currently installed on the device and how much space each is taking up.  If you tap on each, you will further see whether that space is taken up by the code itself (fairly common in games) or by the app's documents (the norm for apps like Photos, Music, etc.).

  • My 16gb Iphone 4 says my storage is full and wont let me download apps etc, but I only have 6 apps, 108 pictures, and 30 songs because I deleted everything due to it, but it still says storage full?

i've literally tried everything, I would restart it but I have valuble pictures and i can't do a backup because the same problem will happen.

    HI Shelby,
It sounds like your available free space is not reporting properly. I would start by quitting the Settings app:
iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
If the issue persists, backup your device to iTunes, then restore it as new and verify that it works.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If it does, then restore your backup to either verify it still works and the software just needed reinstalled, or isolate the issue to the backup file itself.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Regards,
    Sterling

  • If I click on one app in itunes then sync will I only have one app on my po

I accidentally deleted an app from my ipod touch. It's in my itunes library but when i tick it then click sync it starts deleting all apps on ipod, I panic and stop it.
If I left it going would it delete all my ipod and only leave me with the one app I told it to sync?
Is there a way of just moving one app?
Do the apps on the computer contain the progress as well?
Sorry but still new at this.

The only apps that will be on your ipod after you sync, will be those that are selected. If you de-select an app, then it will be deleted from the ipod.

  • I just bought 15 GB of storage on my iPhone 4. It says I have 11.5 GB left. I tried to download pandora on the app store. And it said I didn't have enough storage. I just bought more storage. I only have 6 apps on my phone because of storage.

I am very upset about this. I have spent forever trying to figure this out. I can't even take anymore pictures.

You didn't buy more storage for your iPhone.  You bought more iCloud backup storage.
Delete some content from your device (such as photos or videos) to make room.
