Only in a admin session works InDesign and Illustrator!

When I open some products (Indesgin for example) in a session without admin permission, it doesn't work. All is well y I open the software in a admin session but I don't like to use admin session normally, only for instalations.
It's not so safe to work continously in an admin session, and I don't want to do it.
Could you help me?

Adobe InDesign downloaded from Adobe Creative Cloud, It´s supposed last
version of CS6. S.O. Windows 7
When I try open in a non admin session Windows shows a message: Windows has
closed correctly this program by an error

I had 4 installation disk but the last installation disk is missing. I still allow to keep the Photoshop , Indesign and illustrator software in the computer but i can only keep that on a trial of 30 days. In order to use it permanently, I have to activate the Suite. As the phone activation service is no longer available. I try the online activation as mention in the phone message when I tried to call, but is not successful@ as it didn't bring to an activation page. What should I do to activate it or solve the problem?

There should be an option tro activate when you run any of the installed programs.

  • CS5 InDesign and Illustrator keeps Crashing upon startup while Photoshop works fine

I installed CS5 on my iMac running Mavericks. Photoshop works fine, but InDesign and Illustrator keep crashing upon starting the program. InDesign specifically crashes when it "registers 224 plug-ins". Illustrator crashes almost instantly. Adobe phone tech support is not available because this is not a creative cloud subscription. Has anybody else encountered this issue?

Sorry it has been a busy few days in the office - but I still would like to get this program running...
Tried replacing the entire Adobe Folder - still not the answer...
I've replaced all these folders too that are appeared after successfully launching InDesign in the Guest Account (see images)
My preferences and cache folders in my main user account have a ton of files and folders compared to my guest account. Could that be the source of the problem? I can post screen shots if you think that they may be the source?
    Thanks,

  • Updated Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator on 6/18, now nothing will open: Error 16

Updated Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator on 6/18, now nothing will open: Error 16. None of the Error 16 fixes using the SLS Store and Adobe PCD folder permissionms work. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work. Been on the phone with Adobe 5 times since this happened on June 18. Probalby spent 5 hours on the phone with 4 different tech people. I'm waiting for a callback, but the Adobe guy tells me it will be 2 days. Others muct have this same problem....any fixes? HELP!
PS- Also made a new user account and tried opening with that, thinking it was a permissions problem. Still Error 16. Frustrating.....can't work if I don't have the software.

DeLisiArt, Which OS do you have? Just make sure you have followed the below article completely. http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error-cs5.html
Also, Yes, it is for sure a permission issue. So, i would recommend you to try the below suggestions depending on your OS:
    For Windows:
Turn off User Account Control - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-user-account-control-uac.html
Enable the hidden admin account and check if the applications launch fine there - http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/3040.enable-disable-the-local-h idden-built-in-administrator-account-in-windows-7.aspx
    For Mac:
    Repair Disk Permissions : http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=DiskUtility/11.5/en/7070.html
Enable Root user and check if the applications launch fine there : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1528

  • Color Separations in InDesign and Illustrator

I am trying to print spot color separations. In both InDesign and Illustrator the "separations" is gray. I can only print RGB and grayscale.
My colors are set up as spot. I even tried to print from Acrobat and "separations" is gray there also. Do I need to re-install my drivers or the programs.
I am trying to print to postscript printers but neither one lets me select separations.
    I am using CS3
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Professional
    Version 2002
    Service Pack 2
    Intel(R) Core (TM)2CPU
    6600 @ 2.40 GHz
    2.93 GB RAM
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Cindy

I’m not familiar with those models. Are the PostSCript compatible? If so, then you should get the most recent drivers from the manufacturers’ websites. It’s been ages since I needed to worry about printer drivers in Windows, but maybe you need a PostScript printer utility or printer driver from Adobe, too.

  • Colour Profiles missing in InDesign and Illustrator CS3

    Adobe CS3
    Mac 10.5.8
Hi, I recently brought a new HP Printer (HP Photosmart B110) and installed the software for for it and all the colour profiles for the papers were visible in the drop down box (they were HP Premium Photo, HP Advance and HP Premium Plus Photo) but after updating the drivers they all vanished (see image for InDesign and Illustrator examples).
I contacted HP and uninstalled all the HP software as well as deleting HP related files and then reinstalled the software again but the Colour Profiles were still not visible. I have contacted HP again and they have said that it's something to do with my Adobe software so I was wondering if anyone can help me with solving this problem?
    Thanks
    Chris

HP is fond of pointing the finger at Adobe, and in fairness their drivers often don't work well with InDesign (HP printers account for the largest number of printer related problems on the forum by far, and I don't think it's just due to market share), but installing color profiles has NOTHING to do with any Adobe software. If the profiles were being installed properly by the HP installer, they's be in the system someplace (probably the colorsynch folder) and they'd be available to other programs even if Adobe apps didn't find them.
If the HP low-level tech feeds you that "it's an Adobe problem" BS again, immediately ask to be escalated to someone who knows what they are talking about, and take names.

  • Indesign and Illustrator CS6 crash upon opening. Photoshop is fine.

    Hi,
Everytime I launch CS6 indesign and illustrator i keep getting the classic "indesign quit unexpectedly..." message. I have already run the Adobe Application Manager and updated everything and uninstalled, reinstalled both items again and yes I have restarted.
Falling drastically behind on work and looking for solutions fast! Any ideas anyone? Very gratefully received!
    Thanks

    did you clear the caches?
and onthe off-chance that ID got far enough to leave something behind, find the InDesign Recovery folder (a hidden folder, I think, since Snow Leopard or Lion) and empty it if there's anything there.

  • R2400 Paper Size Settings in InDesign and Illustrator - Leopard 10.5.2

Since upgrading to Leopard 10.52 from Tiger 10.4.11, the "Paper Size" settings (in InDesign CS3) and the "Media Size" settings in Illustrator CS3 show some funky designations. That is, all the paper sizes have some cryptic appendages. For example, the 13x19 paper sizes are being displayed as follows:
    SuperB(13x19in)(EPSON_3)
    SuperB(13x19in)(EPSON_11)
    SuperB(13x19in)(EPSON_12)
    SuperB(13x19in)(EPSON_13)
    SuperB(13x19in)(EPSON_31)
    SuperB(13x19in)(EPSON_32)
    SuperB(13x19in)(EPSON_33)
However, when I click on the "Page Setup..." button, the paper sizes for 13x19 are displayed correctly:
    Super B (13x19 in)
Super B (13x19 in) (Sheet Feeder - Borderless)
Super B (13x19 in) (Roll Paper)
Super B (13x19 in) (Roll Paper - Borderless)
    Super B (13x19 in) (Manual - Roll)
    Super B (13x19 in) (Manual - RollBorderless))
Super B (13x19 in) (Manual -Front)
If I first select the needed paper size within the "Page Setup..." button and then come back out to select the Paper/Media Size outside the "Page Setup..." button, in some cases, the selected driver has changed according to what *might* be the equivalent to what was selected inside the "Page Setup..." button, but in some cases the selected driver outside the "Page Setup..." button does not change.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, which is the latest version for 10.5.2. I'm not sure what's going on here, but this issue is only occurring with InDesign and Illustrator (CS3) -- not in Photoshop CS3, Lightroom CS3, Word 2004, Excel 2004, or Apple Mail. It seems like it's only an issue for InDesign and Illustrator because they have the separate the "Page Setup..." function?
Any ideas on what's going on?

    Hi, Ian --
No problem joining in, as I experienced color issues with InDesign CS3 in Tiger, before upgrading to Leopard. While my prints are not showing as much disparity as yours seem to be, the output of a file of mine containing only color swatches that was originally created in InDesign CS2 does not match the output of the same file printed from InDesign CS3. The InDesign CS2-created file was printing out off-colored and muddy looking when printed from InDesign CS3 -- very bad.
As you can read from the link below, however, when I created a new InDesign CS3 file and set up the very same color percentages for the swatches, the output from that file was MUCH better, although it is slightly darker and a little too vivid. While it's a very close match, it still does not accurately represent the true values of those color swatches.
This info may not help your situation. I hope you'll at least get some much improved results very soon.

  • Indesign and Illustrator CS5.5 crash on launch?

Hi, since few days my Indesign and Illustrator (CS5.5 on OSX Lion) keep on crashing while launching. I de-installed and re-installed the entire CS5 Suite on my iMac already couple of times, but nothing changes. First I thought it might be a font problem, so I deleted all user fonts, but sadly this also didnt help. I already rang the Adobe tech support line but they are not very helpful at all... very frustrating. Anybody an idea what else I can do?

Everytime I try to launch Indesign or Illustrator CS5.5 they start launching but then crash during launch with the comment "Programme quit unexpectedly". Strange thing is that Photoshop and all other CS5.5 Design Premium components are launching and working fine. I am working on the iMac 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with 6MB with OSX Lion.

  • Newbie: I need to get 3 copies of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, what licenses do I need?

I have three users that each wanting a copy of  Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
I of course want to do this in the most administratively and financially efficient way.
    What licenses do I need?
I though at first it would be one cc4t for the company and then three single licences for each user (nine in total)
My reseller is just making me more confused!

The links to adobe site just made the confusion worse. :-(
Thankfully I found Wikipedia much clearer.
It looks like the three apps they want are included in cc4t so all I need is three cc4t licences and as an (un-creative) admin there is no charge for me having a "control panel"
    Thanks though for trying.

  • InDesign and Illustrator CS5 crashing on launch

I am currently unable to boot InDesign and Illustrator CS5, both crash on start-up. Photoshop is running fine.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled both applications with no result.
I have also logged in root user to repair disk permissions, again with no result.
When I get the crash report, I see references to unavailable paths with references to Extensis (possibly Suitcase?). The only thing I can see here is that I have recently test-drived Suitcase Fusion 3, and deinstalled it. I currently use FontExplorer.
    Running Mac OS X 10.7.4.
Any thoughts? I'm running out of ideas here... and this is kinda driving me nuts.
    Thanks!

What after the suitcase fusion's trial expires?
Delete the below mentioned file ;-

  • Hebrew - Right to left at InDesign and Illustrator

    Hi,
I tried the CS6 version from the adobe site, and for some reason i managed to type Hebrew RTL only in Photoshop.
InDesign and Illustrator wont support RTL writing. even though i picked the "English support Hebrew" at the licence section.
    any idea why?
Is there a middle east version?

Where are you located? I seem to recall that Creative Cloud is not yet available in Israel and a few other places, but you should still be able to download a trial, I would think.
If you can't find it anywhere, try sending a message to Gabe Harbs (he's a regular here, and owns In-Tools.com, an authorized distributor, last I knew). His profile is at http://forums.adobe.com/people/Harbs.

  • InDesign and Illustrator freeze overnight

For the last month or so both InDesign and Illustrator have been freezing on me at some point during the night every night. They'll work fine during the day, but will then be completely unresponsive when I come into the office in the morning. I do a Force Quit on both of them and then relaunch. It isn't effecting my ability to get work done, it's just an annoying way to start the day. Meanwhile Photoshop continues to run fine, without any freezing whatsoever.
This started happening when I was on Snow Leopard and continues now that I'm on Lion. I suspected it might be my Suitcase Fusion 3 font management software, but Extensis were unable to figure it out.
    Here are my basics:
    Adobe CS 5 (InDesign 7.0.4, Illustrator 15.0.2)
    Lion (10.7.2)
    Suitcase Fusion 3 (14.1.1)
I did a sample of each through the Activity Monitor.
    InDesign: http://pastebin.com/uEv0s0kG
    Illustrator: http://pastebin.com/Tnd9bDcP
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Sorry for the delay.
It's quite clear from your sample process data that Suitcase is to blame:
    Call graph:
        2372 Thread_266186   DispatchQueue_1: com.apple.main-thread  (serial)
        + 2372 start  (in Adobe InDesign CS5) + 54  [0x27a6]
        +   2372 main  (in Adobe InDesign CS5) + 187  [0x288b]
        +     2372 GetPlugIn  (in AppFramework) + 14282  [0xf1284fa]
        +       2372 ???  (in AppFramework)  load address 0xf100000 + 0x2d28  [0xf102d28]
        +         2372 GetPlugIn  (in AppFramework) + 246108  [0xf160e8c]
        +           2372 GetPlugIn  (in AppFramework) + 242229  [0xf15ff65]
        +             2372 SuitcaseIdleTask::RunTask(unsigned long, IdleTimer*)  (in ExtensisFontManagementIDCS5) + 710  [0x1aa3eb16]
        +               2372 CoreAgentInterface::ProcessNotifications()  (in ExtensisFontManagementIDCS5) + 232  [0x1aa4ec0c]
That is, out of 2372 measurement samples, in all of them, Suitcase was the process running, and running its "Idle Task."
