Word processor like "editing" is not tolerated by PDF (the file format/technology discussed and described by the ISO Standard for PDF, ISO 32000-1).  Minor touchups are tolerated. • After downloading IOS 5.1.1 new iPad only shows connect to iTunes screen- computer does not recognize iPad now

Against my better judgement, I let iTunes update my ipad with the 5.1.1 IOS.  After the download was complete, the iPad showed the Connect to Itunes screen and the device wasn't showing in my iTunes so I unplugged the USB.  Now the iPad is stuck on the Connect to iTunes screen.  I have tried doing the system restore trick, and that looks like it works when the Apple logo shows up, but right after that it goes back to the Connect to iTunes screen.  I tried just plugging it back into my computer and connecting it to iTunes but now neither iTunes nor my computer recognizes the device.  The iPad will not go to any other screen and will not even power off, just stays on the Connect to iTunes screen.  I live 300+ miles from the nearest Apple store so going in is not really an option.  I would appreciate any help that would keep me from throwing this thing against the wall.

    Dear Diavonex,
I have a similar issue, I tried doing the restore, but now the computer is unable to recognize the ipad. Itunes does not detect the ipad. The ipad works but not able to sync with the computer.
Checking on the device manager of windows 7, it shows that there is an unknown device with no driver for it. How to get a driver for the same? Any suggestions?

  • Design Studio 1.3 applications shows only white screen on Mobile BI App (iPad)

    Hello Design Studio friends,
after upgrading or BI platform (4.1) Design Studio Add-On from version 1.2 to 1.3 we could no errors, everything works fine. But now we have the issue, that all of our Design Studio Applications do not work on iPad.
All mobile Applications are listed correctly in the overview in the Mobile BI App. But after starting one application the loading screen is running and after loading only a white screen is displayed. No data, no components, no variables screen etc.
Do you have any idea about the reason of our problem?
Here some additonal information, what we have done:
After upgrade we restartet the BIP and checked that all services are running.
We saved new Design Studio 1.3 Applications on BIP.
We run the Design Studio Applications local (everything works) over BIP on Desktop clients (everything workds), via Mobile BI App (iPad iOS7, newest iOS Version and newest App version) (only white screens are shown).
We deleted all metadata on iPad and reconnected to our BIP.
Our DataSources, integrated in the Design Studio 1.3 applications, are based on SAP BW Queries of a BW 7.4 system.
Many thanks for help and your support.
    Kind regards
    Patrick

    Hi Tammy,
I deleted the mobile BI App from my iPad and installed it again (newest version).
No changes, after loading the Design Studio Application only a white screen is shown.
I cannot find a relevant Part in the App protocol (Debug Mode).
    Thanks for your support.

  • When starting iPad get one icon of iTunes and shows USB cable but IPad doesn't launch

My son tried to upgrade our iPad to iOS7 last night and this morning when attempting to turn device on all we get is an iTune icon and picture of USB cable and nothing works. Any ideas how to fix this

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
    3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
    5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost.

  • TS4062 itunes stops working while syncing with ipad

Itunes progam closes while syncing with itunes.
    Please advise

This is happening to me too.., updated to latest Itunes/McCloud etc directly beforehand.  Tried to sync ipad.., keeps saying ITunes has stopped working (I have W7 Ultimate too).
I can see several slightly different ways of resolving this (most seem to involve completely uninstalling ITunes, Quicktime etc.) but a bit confused as to which one is the best way.  I don't expect to pay the money I have for an IPAD and then not be able to do the simplest thing with it (synch pc with Ipad) lol.., and have to spend hours trying to install and completely install different apps.
Could someone please have mercy on me and let me know which way works?

  • Itunes screen shows up way too large

My Itunes screen is showing up way too big. When I click on to go to it, my whole screen goes black, then it shows up too big and distorted.
Is there anything I can do to fix this on my own?
    Thank you.

When the large image is on your screen, try clicking on the green dot (top left of window).

  • T410 Screen Not Showing While Booting Up

    Hi,
I'm currently using a year old T410 Lenovo laptop.
I've hibernated my laptop after school and went home with it, but when I reached home and tried booting it up, the machine starts running but the screen doesn't show. I forcefully restarted my laptop and tried to switch it on again, but like the usual, the machine starts running but the screen doesn't show anything at all.
I don't think it's my LCD screen's problem. If it was, I should be able to hear my window's log-in screen sound. However, I didn't hear it.
Please help. I have important data and I hope I can retrieve it back. Thank you!

Does the backlight light up? Is there any glow from the screen?

  • HT1386 Hi I hope someone can help me. My Iphone is stuck on an Itunes screen showing a lead on the screen , it happen when it come up with an error while trying to download the latest update

Hi my Iphone is stuck on a screen where it show Itunes with a pic of the cable . Tried to restore phone but it wouldnt let me .Not sure how to fix ?????

What does it say when you try to restore it? Is it an error code that it gives you or does it simply say the restore failed? The error code could help us figure out what is wrong with it, but in most cases something like this usually leads to needing to service the device (i.e. get a repair).

  • ITunes connect screen showing while restoring.  Stuck for hours. Need help

I tried to update my phone. Now it is stuck and says it is restoring. Do I just leave it?  I tried this earlier and waited 2 hours

Open current iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB cable, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, click the Restore button of iTunes.

  • IQ770 will boot to Safe Mode, only black screen on normal boot

I am working on an IQ770.  I just reinstalled Windows Vista and everything worked fine during load.  When the computer reboots it gets past the Windows logo and goes black.  There are the lines thru the screen while trying to load which tell of heat damage.  I can boot this machine up fine in safemode and no problem with video.  Is this a hardware or software issue and what is the solution?

    Reboot to VGA mode
Set screen to 1024 x 768 (this is temporary) and then restart.
If that works set it to the native display resolution of the built-in monitor (I don't know what the dimensions are).

  • Strange screen of first boot of iPad

My niece just bought a refurbished iPad from Apple, after I reassured her that the machine would be just as good as a brand new one.  When she booted up it for the first time, the first screen she saw said MMI at the top with a bunch of what I assume are chinese characters under the title, then "Drag to Unlock" at the bottom.  When you unlock, it goes to a screen that displays a bunch of large icons with labels under them.  For example one is a picture of a camera lens and says "Front Camera", and one for "Back Camera."  One says "Serial Number" and has a picture of a Cherios box above it.  The label "Touch" has a picture of a fingerprint above it.  Very strange stuff. And you can't get it out of this mode, whatever it is. I tried to do a system restore, but after downloading the iOS, it says it failed.  Of additional concern, when the iPad was attached to a computer, the computer describes it as having 5GB of storage.  I'm really confused.  At the very least I would have thought that Apple would have checked to make sure the iPad was working rather than leave this bizzare software installed.  Has anybody seen this?  I'm going to try to attach an image of one of the screen shots that I took with my iphone:

You bought it directly from the Apple Online Store? If you are absolutely certain you bought it from Apple, take it and your receipt to an Apple Store if there's one within driving distance. No doubt they'll be fascinated to see what has happened! I'd wager they'll capture the iPad and return it to the factory, then give you a replacement on the spot.
In a nutshell -- if this is actually from Apple.com! -- it would appear that it was accidentally left in a testing state: a technician in China would use the app you describe to test the various functions on the refurbished iPad before it is released for final sale.

  • Screen hangs while booting from Install disk

I'm trying to install 10.3.1 using my original disks onto an iBook G4 I bought from eBay that has 10.3.9 on it. The iBook works fine, but I don't have the administrator password and the seller has long along stopped answering my emails. I'm installing 10.3.1 simply to do a clean install and reset the admin passwords.
However, when I startup and press 'C' and insert the disk, the computer hangs on the initial Gray screen with the Apple. There's no whirling dial. It's just a frozen screen. In fact, the apple looks off center and I can see a thin strip of multi-color pixels. It doesn't do that when it boots up from the hard drive.
    Any ideas about what's wrong?
    iBook G4

    Hi Kaushik!
If the Panther install CDs, look like THESE, they should work.
But, if you used those same CDs, to install Panther on another Mac, that is still using that OS, it is against the Software Liscense Agreement, to install it on the iBook.
