Only language key EN is loaded

Hi gurus,
i have loaded Data from ECC 6.0 to BI7.0,But only the records having language key EN are Loaded.
any boby can suggest the step i have missed.

Marco - that is not correct - Des is correct
The language in the infopackage is hardcoded from the instance languages installed on the BW server
You can see this by running RSA3 on the R3 side and having the lnaguage as a parameter to the datasource
But in the ipak on BW there is no parameter - this is because the paraamer is filled at runtime by looking into the instance profile
You can however fool BW into thinkign it has the languages instaleld even if you dont do a full language install by just adding the languages to the profile

Hi Ajay,
you can load same description for all the languages by maintaining constant language value at Transfer rules/ Transformations.
but here you need to change the constant value for each language.
Ex, if you are loading for EN, maintain language as Constant "EN".
and then for DE, maintain language as Constant "DE".
but this is repetitive process, if new materials are added then need to load again.

Question: How to populate the Language Key description is not available in the Customer text table
The problem is ;
Customer no : 0012345
For this Customer no description is maintained only in EN, JA ,FR from R3 side.
EN : HP International Ltd
JP:HP の国際的な株式会社
FR: Ltd International de HP
There is no value for Language ES.
BW side:
User is login into language Key ES and executing the report based on this Customer no. There is no Customer text value maintained in language Key ES. It should populate the text value empty. BW system - Language ES is installed.
I have a Reporting requirement is - I need to populate the text value for this customer No: HP International Ltd when the user login to language Key ES and execute his reports.
/BI0/TCUSTOMER Customer text table I am able to see the description for the EN, JP, FR text values.
EN: HP International Ltd
JP: HP の国際的な株式会社
FR: Ltd International de HP
If the Customer text is not available in the text table of customer for language key ES - I have to populate the any one of the existing customer text values into the language key ES - example
0012345 ES HP International Ltd
Simplest solution if we maintained ES customer description in R/3 should be ok.
Is their any other logic which I can implement in BW.

If you are opting to load Customer Text, there are two options:
1. R/3 maintained.
2. Generic Extraction using Flat Files.

Need info on language key

Problem Scenario :
There is a requirement to display the language key in the BW report.
It is known that only the text of the master data can be displayed in the language that is chosen at the time of login.
Please let me know if there is any way to bring the language Key along with the text in the reports.
Appreciate any pointers or suggestions.
Expected report output :
Country Key     Language Key     Description
IND     EN     India
US     EN     United States

Hi,
As you know the language key is stored in text table of infoobject and it is not available for reporting.
If you want to show the language key in the report then you will have to use the language infoobject as a navigation attribute of original infoobject, then only you will be able to use it explicitly in report.
Once you use this navigation attribute at the time of attribute data load of main infoobject you will have to do lookup in text table to populate the language key value, as it will not come from attribute data source from source system.
So in such cases make sure that first you load the text data and then attribute data.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

How to set the language key in Sales document header text?

When I am creating a sales order I found in the header text tab only three languages English, Thai and Ukranian are mentained.. So can you please tell me how to add/ delete more language keys in language key field in a step by step process???

Just select the "unwanted language" keys (By 'right clicking') on each & then use the "delete" icon (3rd icon) on the bottom half.
you can also manintain as many languages as you want.
Pls do the needful.

Copying infoobject text into a second language key

Hi all,
I need to manage material text in both IT and EN language key. Some material codes are generated in ECC only in IT, some other in both languages.
Since reporting is in any case required in english, I wish to set up something which is aimed to copy description created in IT into EN language key. This is aimed to avoid report displaying the code in all occurrences text in EN is not mainteined.
Example:
Material Code A100: text IT = Materiale A text EN = Material A
Material Code B100: text IT = Materiale B text EN = not maintained
in this case I wish to copy text Materiale B also into the language key EN.
I remember there is a standard program to manage these situations in ECC HR and I was wondering if there is something similar in BI.

I'm not talking about translating Infoobject decription.
I need to have in both languages the text of an infoobject members.
For istance, considering 0MATERIAL, I need to have in both languages all 1000 material codes managed in the company although in ECC they created description in english only for 600 codes and description in italian for all 1000 codes.

Info Package Selection Language key is not diplaying while this is checked

Hi,
Please see OSS note 1033537 .Even if langauge selection is available in infopackage it wont work .Tthe only way to restrict a particular language is in DTP or in transformation routine. Infopackage will extract all the language that is installed in BW system and you have to place your restriction in DTP or transformation.

Even I am facing the same problem. Can any one help us out. I have Master data load, but as Info provider loading. I have added 0LANGU in attributes info source and in my flat file, i have 'E' as the value for 0LANGU. When I load attributes data, it gets succesfull along with 'EN' for 0LANGU (Conversion). In my text info source I have Key Number and Medium description fields. When I load Text file, it gives me the error ' ' Record 1 :0OPERATION : Data record 3 ('0001004854220010 ') : Language key is initial' and its for all records in the text file.

Add new language keys

Guys,
I need to add a new language key in CRM 5.0. In Transaction BP when we select languages, how do we add new languages to the list?

Individual languages cannot be added by a phone owner/user.
A specific/select set/combination of languages is put on devices intended for specific regions/countries.
This means that all possible combinations of languages that individual people might wish to see do not exist (such software packages, firmware, has not been created by Nokia).
And the only proper way of getting whatever languages are available, is to buy a device intended for the region/country where those languages are available.

Error : Language Key is Initial

Hi,
     I am facing problem with Vendor Master Text data loading. I am getting error in PSA called "Record 1 : ZCRM_VND : Data record 1('0000000001'): Language key is initial" for all records.
    I dont have any language key field in the source system, and I am not using language field in transfer structure. According to few forums they replied to uncheck the language dependent option in the info object properties. But I am not able to do any edit.
   Pls can one tell me wht would be the problem?

Hi Chandran/Sam,
                           I am sure that we have Global Language text exist in source system, but there is not language field in standard data source 0vendor_text. If I restrict with EN in trasfer rule then that might be a problem if you have any other language text in source system.
                          I deleted the request in PSA but still I am not able to uncheck the 0Langu. And one more thing this 0Langu object is automatically reflecting in Transfer rules and I cant see it in transfer structure.
                          Please give me any other options

Language Key for Translation

Dear Friends,
when i am translation the newly created job in to different languages, i found only 3 languages, but i want to do this fo around 15 languages. can you please let me know how to add this language keys along with the above existing languages.
please let me know the procedure with transaction codes where to add this new alnguage keys, in my systems currently languages are already defined, we just want to use thise languages for translation.
