Only one Apple ID possible?

Hi
I had initially set up my Apple ID with a wrong email, and when it did not verify yet, I realized my error and corrected it. If there's a chance that the email I punched in exists, can they now access my iPhone? I currently have an Apple ID (with my CORRECT email address) running (obviously).
:S
Thanks

Each Apple ID can only have a single primary email address.  If you changed it, then the other address is not associated with your current ID.  Besides, it would require both the ID (email address) and password in order to access your account.  Without knowing the password one would not be able to access your account.

  • I added a new post to my iTunes U course and it is not showing up on one of my student's iPads.  She has only one Apple ID on the iPad. Any assistance is appreciated.

A new post to my iTunes U course shows up in my course both on my Mac and my iPad Air, as well as on other students' iPads, but for one single student.  We have closed the app and forced shutdown.  Student recently added more icloud space, but that is all.  iPad is up-to-date in terms of iOS and iTunesU app.  The student has only one Apple ID associated with her iPad.
We have reposted two more times.  The second time the post showed up for a few seconds, but then disappeared.  It does not show up under any other section (assignments, discussions, etc).  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Have you contacted Apple support?
I don't know if these will work, but you could have the student try the following:
logout of his or her iTunes U (i.e., iTunes Store) account using Settings
    force-quit iTunes U
    relaunch iTunes U
sign in to the newly launched app when prompted
    I hope that helps!

You have to follow the process outlined here to recover contacts from an iCloud backup: Recovering deleted iCloud contacts from an iCloud backup..  Otherwise, as you have noticed, the recovered contacts are overwritten when your device reconnects to iCloud.

  • How can you use iMessage between 3 iPads with 3 different users but only one Apple ID?

how can you use iMessage between 3 iPads with 3 different users but only one Apple ID?

No you do not need separate Apple ID's in order to use 3 devices with one Apple ID. I use 4 devices to Message and FaceTime and all use the same Apple ID. You do need to add additional email addresses for the other devices.
Look at this very informative video for the instructions.

Then there is more than one Apple ID involved.... Or a Restrictions Passcode has been set.

  • HT204074 Why can only ONE Apple ID be associated with a computer every 90 days?

We have 3 family members who all sync our iPhones/iPads/iPods to the same computer.  My son can't access and download past purchases from his iTunes acct to our computer, because it says ONLY ONE Apple ID can be associated with the computer every 90 days, and I just downloaded a movie this week from my own account.  Now, my son has to wait 90 days to access his own purchases.  I feel I should have access to my purchases any time I want, as should my son and any other family members who use this computer.   The number of devices authorized to access iTunes Store purchases is already set to five (which we do not exceed) so, why this additional restriction?  I don't understand why Apple would restrict me from accessing our own purchases.

This bothers me so much. It is absolutely ridiculous. I use my Apple ID as well as a family member's Apple ID to download music.
Every once in a while I will purchase a song and it won't download correctly or will give me an error that my computer is not authorized, a solution I usually fix by deleting and redownloading the song from the cloud. This doesn't work, however, when it happens to both accounts within 90 days.
It is incredibly frustrating to me that I have paid for a song, it downloaded incorrectly, and I must wait 90 days to try downloading it again because of these assinine policies.

  • Only one Apple ID but still got a 90 day lockout

    Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this as Apple has been no help. I subscribed to itunes match a couple of months ago to use with my imac, 64 gb iphone 4s, and apple tv. Over time due to itunes match, my iphone has filled up to near capacity. Yesterday I did some research and came across a few suggestions that the easiest way to manage the music content on my iphone would be to turn off itunes match on my iphone and imac, then manually sync only  the music I wanted on to my iphone from itunes, then turn itunes match back on. This seemed easier and quicker than manually deleting song by song, album by album, or artist by artist in my iphone to make room.
Well, I did this, it worked great, up until the point where I tried to turn itunes match back on in itunes. At which point I got a message that says:
"This computer is already associated with an Apple ID. You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 21 days"
I did not use another apple ID at any point, I never even logged out of itunes. I simply turned of itunes match for no more than an hour and turned it back on.
I called apple, got transferred at least three times, each rep maintained that I had done something wrong, that it was my fault, that I messed up by trying to use two different apple id's (I didn't), that someone else must have basically snuck into the house while I was in the bathroom tried to use a different apple id and left before I came back out, etc, etc. All my fault, I screwed up, etc, etc. I kept asking where it says you must never sign out of itunes match or your forfeit use of the service? I also asked if it is apple's desire that no one ever lets someone else sign into itunes on another account and make purchases or your forfeit you itunes match service. What kind of business model is that?
Anyways, the most I ever got out of them is that I screwed up in some undetermined way, and therefore I am screwed.
First bad apple experience for me, very dissapointed. Won't/can't refund my money, won't/can't reset the 90 days, go pound sand. Richest company on the planet, and giving the customer the finger over a $25 service that clearly has some sort of server/software issue.

I tried Apple Express Lane online support. Submitted a claim, was told they would respond within 24 hours. Two days later, still no response, but much to my surprise, I just tried again and itunes let me turn match back on, so perhaps express lane support system is the way to go.

  • HT1688 How to use iMessage with only one apple account.

I updated my iphone4 and my husbands iphone3s and my ipad2 to iOS6. I have one apple account for all of them....well now my email, which is my login, is hooked to all 3 for imessage. So if I send my husband a imessage it sends it to all 3 of them....I have shut off iMessage on our phones but would like to know how to unlink my husbands phone at least..I never had a problem before the upgrade....an suggestions.

Ok..I figured it out. I had to go to settings on my ipad and go to messages. Then click on send & recieve...I had to then uncheck my iphone number and my husbands number and only have my email address check for the ipad....now its all back to normal again.

  • I want only one Apple acct....please!

    I have 4 Apple related accounts: 2 "apple.com", 1 "daw.apple.com", 1 "secure1.store.apple.com"
How can I have only one acct. for Apple,  iTunes, Cloud, etc.?

Each email address you use is a different account and can't be merged. Apple says:
I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.
If you are wondering how using multiple Apple IDs relate to iCloud, see Apple IDs and iCloud.
I do not know what the "daw" account is. I thing the "store" account is for Apple on-line store from which yo can purchase hardware. That is sperate to the Apple ID you use on the iPod but yo can use the same email address.

  • Is point in custom object with only one control handle possible?

I notice with a rounded rectangle if you make it editable and click on any of the points, they all seem to have only one "control handle". Normally there are always two. Is there really only one control handle on those points, or does it just look that way? Assuming there is indeed only one control handle, how can I do that too?

    Hi Chris,
Yes, there really is only one control handle for these points. And a look at the 'ordinary' rectangle shows that the control points at its vertices have zero control handles.
The rectangles appear to be set to retain the property of the rounded corner attaching to a line segment (for the rounded rectangle) or the vertex being formed by the intersection of two lines (for the 'ordinary' rectangle).
"Normal" control points (your term) treat the point at which they are inserted as a point on a curve, even it that curve has infinite radius (and appears as a line segment), and provide for revision of the curve on both sides of the control.
If you insert one of these (option-click) anywhere on the shape, it will appear as an unfilled red circle, and will have two control handles.
Assuming there is indeed only one control handle, how can I do that too?
For a start, you could explain what you mean by "do that too."
    Regards,
    Barry

  • HT204085 Does the keychain have to be set up from only one Apple ID or can it be used among 2 or more Apple ID users? For example, my daughters each have I'd but my cc is on their accounts and my wife also has her own id with my cc.

Can the keychain from my phone and Apple ID link to 2 other different phones and Apple ID's and 1 new ipod and different id? Both daughters and wife use my credit card on their accounts.

We do this in my family now.  We have one account for purchases, so it is used to share music and apps (I think that is in Settings/iTunes & App Stores).  Each iDevice has this configured.
Then, each of us has our own iCloud account that is configured under Settings/iCloud.  That then allows us to have our own Mail/Contacts/Calendars/Reminders/Safari Bookmarks/Notes/Passbook/Photo Stream/Documents & Data/Find My iPhone/and Backup.  That Backup piece is pretty sweet and comes in handly if you replace your iDevice.  You can just restore from it.
So we all share the Apple Store account but we all have our own iCloud accounts to keep the rest seperate or things like you mentioned are a nightmare.
In answer to what iCloud does for you: http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/
Think of it as an internet based ("cloud") area for all of those items listed in my response.  What you need to remember is photo stream only maintans the last 1000 pictures so don't count it as a complete backup solution for your pictures.  Even though I rarely sync with a computer these days, I do still try to sync my phone with iPhoto (I have an iMac) so that I have copies of all of my pictures.  1000 may not stretch as far as it sounds.

  • Have 5 devices, only one apple ID, iCloud should be 5 gb per device not per account.

Do I really have to create multible id's in order to be able to backup using iCloud. I have 2 iPad, 1 iPhone and 2 iPod and I still only get 5 gb of storage, but if I create a new account for each device I get 5 Gb each? Why?

It's 5 GB per account, regardless of how many devices are connected to that account.  If you need more space, Apple provides the option to buy additional storage.  If you want each of your devices to sync the same email, contacts, calendars, reminders, notes, etc. then use just one account, otherwise get a different account for each device.
