Only one episode is up?

Feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/PodelCastro
http://podelcastro.tumblr.com
I'm not sure what happened when I sent the feed in but it looks as though both episodes are recognized when I troubleshoot the feed on feedburner but for some reason only Episode 2 came up on itunes. What did I do wrong here?
Also, for some reason the description is the actual URL of the mp3. I use tumblr, and read on a similar post to simply have a text post with the URL of the mp3 and the streaming html. I have that but have not added any text. If I do so will iTunes know that is the description of that episode?
I'm slightly confused.

Apparently I just needed to ping my feed and it would eventually correct itself on itunes.
The facility for pinging iTunes and (theoretically) getting it to update your feed promptly has been withdrawn, so it's probably just coincidence.
My last question is: I am under the impression that in order for the feed to recognize the mp3 I have to list it in the body of the text post on the tumblr blog (http://podelcastro.tumblr.com). This however shows up in the description of the podcast. Small issue but I'd love to have that removed without messing the feed up. Any ideas?
The URL that iTunes uses for the media file is carried in the 'enclosure' tag in the feed. Presumably you submit data to Tumblr and it writes the feed for you. I can't advise on how it does this, it's something you would need to take up with them.

  • How to play only one episode of a podcast on the iPod Classic 120GB?

With my previous iPod-- the 60GB iPod Photo-- I could play only one episode of a podcast. I would scroll to "Podcasts" on the main menu, find the name of the podcast I wanted to hear, click on an episode and only that one would play. If I wanted to listen to all the episodes of that particular podcast, I'd access it through the Playlist feature.
The system above for playing a single episode doesn't seem to work on the iPod Classic 120 GB. All the episodes play no matter how I access the podcast.
    What am I overlooking?
    Thanks.

I must have had the Shuffle setting turned on for the old iPod, but I forgot all about that.
Probably not! My 30GB video iPod will only play one Podcast episode at a time and this does not change by using shuffle. I think your 60Gb iPod was the same as the 30GB.
As S_Edwards has posted and as you have found, the Classic does use shuffle to alter the way Podcasts are played. Quite why Apple use shuffle to control single or continuous playing of Podcasts, and then not document it either, is a mystery.
As a useful reminder, while the Podcast is playing, the screen display will show 1 of 1 to denote single-episode mode or 1 of x to denote continuous-episode mode.

  • Tv shows show up and play in itunes but only one episode makes it to ipod?

My itunes purchased tv shows show up and play in itunes. As far as my ipod, only one episode will show up under tv shows. The other episodes don't show up under movies either. Can someone please help me? Strange that 1 of the episodes will show up on ipod but no others. They were all purchased on itunes.

    Check your sync preferences.
There are now options to sync only watched / unwatched episodes, for example, which may be causing this.
    Connect the iPod.
Wait for iTunes to recognize it.
Click on the name of the iPod.
You'll see your Summary page open up in front of you.
Click on the tab for TV shows and set it how you want.
Do this for all of the other tabs concerning file types you want on your iPod.
Then, click the Apply button (lower right-hand corner)
iTunes should now update your iPod preferences, and also the files on the iPod.

  • I bought a t.v show now only one episode will download

i bought a t.v show now only one episode will download i clicked "check avalible downloads" but nothing comes up.

If you purchased a series, then are other episodes currently available in that series in your country, and if so do they show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes for downloading ?

  • How can I listen to only one episode on a list of podcasts

Apologies if this is posted elsewhere...
I "upgraded" my old 160GB ipod classic to a new 120GB one (actually I dropped the old one down the stairs and had to replace it).
On my old ipod it used to be that if I wanted to listen to a single podcast (episoode) I just selected the episode from it's list. If I wanted to listen to the entire list of podcasts I would select the "group" from the Podcast menu.
Now when I listen to a podcast it then goes on to play the next one in the list. I like to listen to podcasts in bed - It used to play one and then stop. Now I find I wake up several hours later to find them still playing and my battery draining.
Is this a "feature" of the new classic? Can I turn it off? I don't want to have to pre-choose the podcasts and add to a playlist... I just want it to work the way it used to.

Experience (of iPods) tells me that the 160GB Classic and the 120GB Classic are from the same "family" and should therefore behave the same way. (The nano is a different family and the Touch another family yet again.)
So, since my 160GB Classic can play one episode at time, your 120GB Classic should too. To achieve this, turn on *shuffle songs/albums.* No, I'm not joking!
With shuffle on the Podcasts will play one episode at time when you select an episode from the episode list. Be sure to turn on the shuffle from "within a song" or from the ettings menu. If you have shuffle displayed on the main menu and use that to start shuffling songs, it doesn't affect Podcasts. You will know it's set correctly because the display will show 1 of 1 instead of 1 of "X".

  • Itunes can only find one episode on my RSS feed... help?!

I am having some issues with getting my podcast up and running. My RSS seems to be working and the files seem to be accessible yet only one of my test episodes works. I have been attempting to use garage band to share episodes with iweb with no luck. the only episode that seemed to work was an older audio file that I dropped straight into iweb (skipping the editing process in garage band). I am trying to figure out why only one episode out of several can be found by itunes...
This is my RSS feed address: http://brentviewhub.com/Hub_Ministries/Talks/rss.xml
Here is the link to the Itunes working episode: http://brentviewhub.com/Hub_Ministries/Media/100115_004.mp3
I feel a little frustrated as I am a little code illiterate, any help would be much appreciated!
    Dan

I've looked at it again: my FireFox will play two of the mp3 episodes, but complains that it need an additional plugin to play the earliest episode, despite the fact that it's also MP3.
iTunes will only download the second to latest episode: it complains that the other cannot be found on the server.
Safari will play all of them.
All except the second episode have spaces in the filename: these are replaced in the feed with the code %20 and normally in this situation it all works OK (it's when the URL in the feed has spaces that it falls over) so though it's a messy looking solution it shouldn't cause a problem.
Though you are using iWeb to create the podcast - which should work perfectly well - you are apparently not using MobileMe but another server. Servers have to be configured to deliver different types of file correctly: so, for example, if you have an M4a file but the server hasn't been set up to deliver it properly, instead of playing in a browser as it should it will be downloaded (which is what happens with an unknown file type).
It can't be as simple as that here, since Safari is not having any problems, but as FireFox and iTunes are it does suggest that the server may be responding incorrectly to certain types of request. That's something you would have to take up with the people running it.
However since, although it might be coincidental, it is the case that the one trouble-free file doesn't have a space in the filename, it would be sensible to get rid of the spaces. To do this you will have to rename the files and drag them anew into iWeb, and then do a complete republish: this will rewrite the feed to match the new file names, but of course all the files will have to be uploaded again. As it's a comparatively easy (if tiresome) step it's obviously worth trying first.

  • Bought a TV series but only 1 episode supplied

I purchased The Bill - 1st series.. but got only ONE episode. what do I do now?

    Hey pam18w
Check you pas purchases to download the rest of the series. If it does not resolve it, then the next step is to report the issue with iTunes to get it resolved.

  • After submitting a podcast, it only shows one episode and never updates?

The podcast was approved on the 17th September, but it only ever showed one episode, and has never updated.  Can anyone help?
    https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/bethany-church-warrington/id562744688 pulls a feed from http://bethanywarrington.com/blog/?feed=rss2&cat=4
The feed is generated from Wordpress.  Thanks

Thank you, I think you're right.  The 12th september one has an extra line in the RSS:
    <enclosure url="http://bethanywarrington.com/audio/120909%20Sermon%20John%20Addison.mp3" length="0" type="audio/mpeg" />
Every post should have this, because they all have links to MP3 files.  The only weird thing is, I don't know how made this one post different, because I always submit every MP3 the same way with a link in the main body of text.  How do you think I could add that into every post?

  • My feed only shows one episode, please help

Im using Drupal to publish a podcast the original feed is: http://enredat.org/rss.xml
and using feedburner to publish to itunes: http://feeds.feedburner.com/enreda-t
    my itunes url is: http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/enreda-t/id492031599
Im not sure how to fix it, im new to this, please help
    Thank you

Thanks, this did the trick for me as well. I have a podcast that is currently up to 3 episodes, but iTunes (both the store and the subscribed feed itself) only showed episode 1, even after several days.
I'm using WordPress, with the PowerPress plugin. After reading this thread, I checked the raw XML of my feed and noticed that only the first episode had the <enclosure> tag containing the URL of the episode's MP3.
I quickly realized I had made a silly mistake: PowerPress adds another section below the text box on the WordPress post editing page, where you explicitly supply the URL of the MP3. I had done that on episode 1 but had forgotten on subsequent episodes.
Immediately after making the change, I was able to refresh the subscribed feed in iTunes and the new episodes showed up. They're not in the store yet, but I expect they will be within 24 hours when it gets refreshed.

  • How can I link to only one track on an album in the iTunes store?

I'm trying to link to a song and keep it seperate from the rest of the content on the album.  The link generator is giving me a link to the song but it still brings up the rest of the album too.  Is there anyway to isolate and link to only one track?  Thanks!

  • How do I give access to one episode at a time from a tv series on iTunes?

On my son's Gateway, running XP, I have set up an account for him and an account for myself (with me as administrator). Here's what I want to do: download an entire TV series onto iTunes under my account, then transfer one episode at a time to iTunes under his account, giving him access only to the episodes that I have transferred to him. What's the best way to do this? (I want to buy the whole season as it is cheaper than one episode at a time). (OK, yes, I am bribing him to do his school work, but hey, it's healthier than McDonalds!

I thought I had to download the whole season at once (if the whole thing is available).
No, but any available episodes will automatically download unless you go into the Download queue and pause them. Just so it's clear, even if you buy a season pass, each episode is a separate video. So you can download them all to your Windows/iTunes account and just copy over to your son's account the ones you want him to have access to.
Do you know how long I can leave the purchased episodes on iTunes before downloading? Is there a time limit where the un-downloaded episodes will just go away?
I wouldn't suggest that you leave them for very long at all. There's too much risk of something corrupting your download queue should an episode, for some reason, be pulled (as can happen if an episode is found to have bad encoding, for instance). I'd suggest that you download them as soon after they appear as you can.

    Your feed is at http://blacktribbles.podomatic.com/rss2.xml
When subscribed to in iTunes the recent episodes show, but the Store hasn't updated for some time.
There appears to be an issue with the feed. In the episode 'WRESTLING MARCH MADNESS: Final Bracket & Championship' of 31st March you will find in the 'description' tag the following line:
    4. KURT ANGLE
At the end of this line is an invisible character which seems to be wrecking the feed - although it works OK when suscribing in iTunes it won't load in a browser (and I also found the feed very slow to load, which won't help matters with the Store)
This sort of thing usually happens when you paste text in from a word processing application and manage to include one of the invisible control characters. I don't know how easy it will be do do it in Podomatic but you should delete that entire line and retype it to remove this charter.
You should keep an eye on the time it takes the feed to be accessed - if there is a long enough delay (and it was quite some seconds when I tried) the Store may well timeout and fail to read it. At the moment it's showing a cached version from the last time it was able to read it.

  • How to move ONLY one iTunes item from iPad to computer

How do I move JUST one item from my iPad to the computer using the new iTunes?  I do NOT want to sync everything on the iPad to the computer.  I do NOT want the computer to download anything from the store.
My home internet connection isn't much faster than dial-up.  I also have access to a high-speed internet connection somewhere else, so have been buying or renting movies and TV shows with the iPad.  if I've purchased them, I transfer them to a separate iTunes library I have on an external hard drive connected to my computer and remove them from the iPad, since memory on it is an issue.
I just tried to do that for the first time using the newest version of iTunes.  First iTunes went to the store to download a movie, which would take 8 hours and that I didn't want.  I quit the program and selected sync from iPad.  Then, it proceeded to automatically transfer a bunch of books and podcasts that I don't want to transfer (and it will take a bunch of extra time).  How can I transfer ONLY the one episode of a TV show that's on the iPad?  I don't want to transfer anything else, not the books and so on.  I can't find any way to do that in the latest version of iTunes.
Is there any way to restore the old iTunes, so that I can individually choose what I want to copy to the computer from the iPad?

    mtngal2,
I've had this same problem and I haven't received a response how to get around it.
    Have you received any answers?

  • Recording ONLY new episodes of a series is not allowed!

I recently upgraded to quantum. Now when I try to record a new season of a TV series I am not allowed to record just the first run (new episodes).....I am forced to,record the new episodes and ALL or the reruns. I just spent 40 minutes on the phone the the fios people and they say that is all they have. I said so you charge me more & give me fewer option. Furthermore the DVR recording options are redundant..."record episode" is fine, then there's "record series" and you get the new & old episodes and there's "record series with options" and you get the new and the old episodes...THERE ARE NO OPTIONS!!! This is stupid! The other nonsensical part of this is the shows I already had saved to record on my old equipment migrated to the new equipment and those still record just the new episodes.....so why can't I create a new recording and record only new episodes?????

    Nedsma wrote:
TNS_2 - I beg you to come to my house so I can show you the option is not there. I have not had the option to record first run only ever since I got the new quantum equipment. Furthermore, the Verizon tech support person and her supervisor TOLD me there was no option to record only the new episodes, hence NONSENSE! Please get Verizon to correct this!!!
I have Quantum, and I most definitely have the option to record only first-run episodes. However, that option is not available when I first schedule a series, I have to go in and modify the series.
I think maybe you are failing to scroll down on your options. I have a number of series recordings scheduled, I can easily go in and change the recording option on any of them:
    Scheduled Recordings ==> series I want to modify/OK ==> scroll down to Modify Series/OK ==> scroll up to Episodes/OK ==> select First-Run Only/OK == Save
Unfortunately the reps you talk to on the phone know very little, I have had FiOS now for 10 years, Quantum for one full year, and I have found I generally know far more about how FiOS works than pretty much any of the reps you might talk to.
And last, none of us here can get Verizon to do anything, we are all just other customers trying to help.
    Good luck.

  • I can't be the only one having this Finder issue: Finder stops responding and requires relaunch about every third time I open it.

I have a brand-new MBAir, but I actually noticed this starting many months ago, on my MBPro running Snow Leopard. I've repaired Permissions numerous times, run Onyx and performed all of the scans and checks (everything checks out fine), and otherwise have no problems at all with my system. It's just this constant need to relaunch the Finder, especially after downloading a dmg. In-between these episodes it seems to behave normally.
I though it was a Snow Leopard problem, and was hoping it would be gone with Lion, but, alas--no such luck.
I've searched through the discussions and support docs and haven't found anything similar--can I possibly be the only one with this weird issue? I've been a Mac User for over 20 yrs, and can't say I've ever seen this particular problem before....Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

OK, Tony--did that. I noticed that it had a creation date of 2009. Wouldn't a new OS create new plist files, or do all of the old ones just migrate over from the previous OS? Interesting....
Anyway, I'll just have to wait and see if it happens again--shouldn't have to wait too long--LOL. I'll post back with an update ASAP.
    Thanks for your help!
