Only One Label is Formatting as Percent in a Pie Chart - Help

I'm having trouble with a pie chart.  I have only two values in the chart and have added labels.  When I preview the report both labels display correctly.  However, when I right-click the labels in design view and select the #PERCENT option
from the Series Label Properties and the preview the chart, only one label is actually formatted as a percent.
 I don't get it?
I've followed the steps in other forum questions to get around this but nothing works.  I am in a hurry and really need this to work properly, can someone spell this out for me?
This is what I see in preview currently:

  • Zebra Printer GK320d is Printing only one label

    Hi All,
We are using Printer Zebra GK420d for printing WIP completion label, however All our three zebra gk420d printers stops printing with "printer busy" after the one label print. We've reset the printer and then it'll print first label fine, when we try a second label print it doesn't print again. Once we switch printer off and reset printer, switch printer on again it will print one label. So each and every time we need to print one label, then we must reset printer and on again, it print one label then we have to switch it off and on to print 2nd label. Please help.

    Hi Manu,
Goto SPAD. Select the concerned printer in change mode. Goto its Output Attributes. Under Output request processing you will find several options. There will be a dropdown allowing you to pass number of copies to host spool system. Select that and save. After this check again.

  • Only one wireless connection at a time....Please Help

Since updating to 10.4.9 I can only connect one computer wirelessly at a time....when I had 10.4.8 on all three laptops ther were no wireless problems at all...Is there anyone else with this problem?

Okay, so when one computer is using the 802.11 band, no other computers can establish a media-level connection. Is that correct? In essence, the one connection locks out everything else. The MAC addresses of the other computers are not in the arp cache of the Actiontec, because they are not able to communicate via 802.11. The Multiplexing has gone from OFDM.
This is a weird one. I think I was wrong about the configuration. As odd as it sounds, it must be something with 10.4.9. I think when you rolled back to 10.4.8 you must have retained the Airport2 kext. If you get info on /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAirPort2.kext it should be 4.0.4, I think. 4.0.5 is in 10.4.9. Further granularity can be seen if you enter this in Terminal:
    $kextstat | grep -i airport
    I get this:
    81 0 0x735000 0x69000 0x68000 com.apple.iokit.AppleAirPort2 (405.1) <37 16 11 2>
which says its AppleAirPort2 version 4.0.5.1 If you use pacifist and the 10.4.8 install disk you can get your original one back.
Lots of people have reported problems with 10.4.9 and Airport. But yours is a doozy.

  • Can I show a data label for only one point in a series?

Forgive a newbie question from an Excel convert, but can I show a value label for only one point in a data series? If yes, how?
There are a number of graphs where I only want to value of either an extreme value or the ending value to show. Having all the labels in a series makes the chart too busy. This is pretty easy to do in Excel.
If this can't be done, I guess that adding a text box over those points would work.
    Thanks

Sure. Here's and example labeling only the MIN and MAX points.
Column B contains the data charted with the blue line.
Column C extracts the MIN and MAX values using the formula below. Those two values are charted as a separate series, using the green data point markers, and are labeled with their values. The intervening empty string values appear to have doused the lines connecting the two data points.
    Formula: =IF(OR(B=MAX(B),B=MIN(B)),B,"")

  • Am I the only one who does not like the poor way labels are displayed?

In the finder, applying a label to a file results in some file 'colors' behind the file name being squared or out-of-round on the right side. Surely there is a HIG that says there are to be 'rounded' corners?
It just looks sloppy. I don't like it.
    Am I the only one?

If I understand your complaint correctly, what you are talking about is just that the window isn't large enough to show the right side end of the color. Try scrolling the window horizontally until the right edge is in view & I think you will see that both ends are rounded.

  • Do you copyemail from a PC running windows live mail? I have attempted to use Thunderbird and was successful in converting the live mail files to Mbox format but when I tried to import these files to the Mac only one message from each file was shown.

I am having a problem trying to migrate some old email messages from a PC running Windows live mail.
I downloaded Thunderbird to the PC and imported the email messages and folders into Thunderbird and was able to create Mbox files for all the folders and messages. I  copied these files to a usb stick and then tried to export the folders and messages to my iMac running Lion. It appeared  to copy the folders to the Mac but only one message per folder was placed on the computer. Does anyone have any ideas on how I should proceed to copy these email messages over? Thanks.

  • Illustrator File Will Not Open -  Error message "Object label badly formatted"

I have been working on a large image file for one of my classes; it has many layers and custom swatches, no text. I work on Creative Cloud at home, CS6 at school, and I think I had my .ai file saved under legacy file format CS4 trying to be safe (because I was not sure of my school's version and I have had a lot of problems accessing my files at school because of the version differences). I have been working on it back and forth between computers for quite a while, and today--while I had the image on my computer recently--it says "Acrobat PDF File Format is having difficulties: Object label badly formatted" if I try to open it.
I have tried: updating Adobe Illustrator; creating a new AI document and "placing" the file into it; opening the file in Acrobat (the file opened, which was a step...but it only showed a tiny portion of the artwork and left the rest blank. Under the tools, however, it still showed the image had 15 layers (under the layer menu)--and it had them marked them as "visible"--but there wasn't anything I could do to actually view them; I tried copy/pasting into illustrator from Acrobat; opening in Acrobat and "saving as" a PDF (it said "The document could not be saved. There was a problem reading the document (111)"; and I just did a system restore hoping that could exorcise the demons--but no such luck so far.
Do you have any ideas? I would greatly appreciate any words of wisdom and support you might have...and chocolate.
    Thanks for reading this.

We now understand the problem, and are testing a solution. Here's my current understanding of all the elements of this issue.
CAUSE: The problem occurs in an interaction between Illustrator CS4, Suitcase Fusion 2 v13.2, and having an Illustrator document with one or more text boxes, containing text, which is *completely* off the artboard—not even the bounding box is touching the artboard. *Additionally*, there must also be at least one text box, with text in it, which is *on* the artboard (even so much as having the bounding box partly on the artboard is sufficient, again). When these conditions are met, saving the document *may* (but does not always) cause the problem.
PROBLEM: Attempting to open an affected document in Illustrator CS4 fails, with an "object label badly formatted" error. The problem can occur with older illustrator documents opened in CS4, as well as native CS4 documents.
UNAFFECTED: Despite any speculation in this thread, this problem does not affect Photoshop, nor has it occurred with any version of Extensis Suitcase older than Suitcase Fusion 2 v13.2, which shipped about eight days ago.
SOLUTION: The problem should be resolved by a 13.2.1 dot release. Although things could be delayed if we find something unexpected in testing, we currently expect to have the fix available this week, probably tomorrow (Thursday).
DOCUMENT RECOVERY: Extensis can fix any Illustrator CS4 document which exhibits this problem. For now, contact Extensis tech support if you need help with recovering any such Illustrator document. Be prepared to send tech support the affected Illustrator file(s). You can use the online contact form at http://www.extensis.com/en/support/contact_prod_support.jsp, or call tech support at 1-503-274-7030.

Like it says, that is invalid xml. It looks like it is a bug

  • Column format with percent ( % ) sign

Is there column formatting for percent ( % ) signs?
One of the fields in the report currently displays a number, e.g. "3.75", but need to add the percent ( % ) sign, e.g. "3.75%".
    I found the following:
    * To display "$5,234.10", I can use "FML999G999G999G999G990D00", this formats with a dollar ( $ ) sign and two decimal places.
    * To display "-5,234.10", I can use "S999G999G999G999G990D00", this formats with the sign ( + ) or ( - ) and two decimal places.
However, I fail to find how to add the percent ( % ) sign...

Thx for this hint. The only Problem with this solution is that the ‘%’ is also shown when the value is NULL.
Has someone solved this also for NULL values where there should be nothing in the cell.
Some solution but not very nice is to do this in the query itself.
    select ltrim(to_char(value, '999G999')||'%','%') from dual
    another one may by
    select to_char(b.COST_MATERIAL,'999G999L', 'NLS_CURRENCY = ''%''')

  • How use two templantes with only one job ?

I have two templantes and want use with only one job.I use with input one xml data file !!
    Is this possible?
    Please Help!!
    Thanks,
    Bruno.

I probably missed this one earlier or felt that since it referenced an XML data file that I couldn't provide a definitive answer. I'm still not sure I can because we don't use XML for our data files, but use the "field nominated format".<br /><br />An expansion on Tammy's information:<br /><br />1. use a multi-step job with each <br />b task<br />calling a different MDF.<br />With this correction, it assumes that you either have access to set up the tasks/jobs yourself or can convince your Central administrator to do so. What happens is that TASKA is set up to reference FORMA and TASKB is set up to reference FORMB. Then a job is set up that causes both TASKA & TASKB to be ran. This will likely result in two different print files being sent to the printer. That may or may not be desirable, depending on whether your printer is set up to do something special between each print file (insert separator page, offset, whatever). Personally, I don't recommend this as it can quickly cause an unnecessary proliferation of tasks and jobs (we print 100's of differing form combinations with a single job definition).<br /><br />2. I can't really address this as I didn't even know that a single form could cause another to be called. I would expect that unless the "base" form (say it is FORMA) is to always print with the secondary form (FORMB) it is restrictive and has the potential to cause a proliferation of FORMA files for the various combinations that are to be printed. Maybe it is possible to have logic to check the value of a data field to control what forms get called.<br /><br />3. If you pass the XML file through a translation step and then through the transformation agent (maybe it can be done in a single step) this should work. It does add another step to the job as well as requiring learning to use the transformation agent. Depending on the combination of forms to be printed, you might need a different translation definition for each one, or at the very least have a data field that you can check the value of to determine what ^form commands to put in the output file.<br /><br />4. My recommendation is based on assuming an XML data file has the same capabilities as a field nominated file. Within a field nominated file are various print agent commands, including references to data as well as which forms are to be printed (and a whole bunch of other commands). An XML file should have the same features - I just can't say what they might look like. If your current data file has no "form" reference but depends on the job/task definition you might have to stick with option 1. If it has a "form" reference, then you just need to insert additional references for additional forms. Then it is up to the source of your data (or a transformation agent step) to specify which forms are to be printed. For example, in field nominated format, the file might look like:<br /><br />^job XYZ additional parameters<br />^form FORMA.MDF<br />^field FIELD1<br />data<br />^field FIELD2<br />data<br />^form FORMB.MDF<br />^field FIELD1<br />data<br />^field FIELD3<br />data<br /><br />or it might look like the way our files look:<br /><br />^job XYZ additional parameters<br />^global FIELD1<br />data<br />^global FIELD2<br />data<br />^global FIELD3<br />data<br />^form FORMA.MDF<br />^form FORMB.MDF<br /><br />As you can see in the first example, there is a reference to the form followed by all fields that go on it followed by another form reference with the fields that go on it. This particular method, using all "^field" commands for defining the data requires that data duplicated between the forms be duplicated. (Or, the use of some ^global commands like the following.)<br /><br />In the second example, all data is defined first using the "^global" command followed by all of the form references. This allows for the data to be defined only once. If there is something unique regarding a particular form the field can be ^global at the beginning or it can be ^field <br />b after<br />the ^form reference (similar to the first example).<br /><br />As previously mentioned, the XML file should have the same capability but in XML notation, something like the following (forgive me as it has been years since I took the XML class and don't use it in my daily work so the actual format could be wrong, not to mention the actual labels):<br /><br /><job name=XYZ,option=aaaa, option=bbbbbbb><br />  <form name=FORMA.MDF><br />    <field name=FIELD1, value=xxxxxxxxxxx></field><br />    <field name=FIELD2, value="xxxxxxxxxxxxx"></field><br />  </form><br />  <form name=FORMA.MDF><br />  etcetera<br /></job><br /><br />or maybe:<br /><br /><job name=XYZ,option=aaaa, option=bbbbbbb><br />  <global name=FIELD1,value=xxxxxxxxxxxx></global><br />  <global name=FIELD2,value="xxxxxxxxxxxxx"></global><br />  etcetera<br />  <form name=FORMA.MDF></form><br />  <form name=FORMB.MDF></form><br /></job><br /><br />or even (but I doubt it):<br /><br /><job name=XYZ,option=aaaa, option=bbbbbbb><br />  <globals><br />    name=FIELD1,value=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,<br />    name=FIELD2,value="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"<br />  </globals><br />  <forms><br />    name=FORMA.MDF,<br />    name=FORMB.MDF<br />  </forms><br /></job>
