Only part of page prints on HP Laserjet III

When I print several pages, sometimes one on the pages only prints the top third or two-thirds. It's usually a page (or a few pages) on the middle of the print job.
I have been waiting for a rainy day to raise this point and hopefully solve it at long last.
Thanks.

I obtained the same result independent of whether I use "print this page". It happens on multiple download software instructions on the Canon website.
Sorry I used the wrong link when I replied before.
Is there any addition information that I could provide?
Sincerely,
Roy

I believe there are other options out there for around that price but there's none I can personally recommend. Plus, if you DO find something that looks right, you'll want to check to see if tiling is available.
Keep in mind that Reader is made more for document sharing than it is for things like oversize prints. That's why they've probably never bothered to add tiling.
    Good luck.

Thank you for the response. I tried to fix the problem with some of the suggestions on that page, but none seem to work. I believe that is the only website that I'm having that problem on. I got to fooling with it a bit more and when I highlight the whole page and select to print the selected area, it actually prints the whole page then, but it won't do it as a default. I guess I can just do it like that from now on, but I thought there would be something in the settings that I could have changed. Thanks again for the help.

  • Only part of page was printed when accessing Canon website

When printing or print previewing the indicated page on affected website http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/eos_slr_camera_systems/eos_digital_slr_cameras/eos_rebel_xsi_ef_s_18_55is_kit#DriversAndSoftware

  • Photocopying only part of page with fade out of center of page

My printer prints from the computer but does not print out well when photocopying.   I get the sides of the page for the most part, but the center of the page fades to blank.  I also can't print out a full alignment page (I changed the ink cartridges).  Only the blue/green prints, no black markings for alignment.
It seems to be more of a problem with the black print/images.  I was able to print a page from computer, but the ink looks more blue than black.  Overall, even the colored printed part was somewhat faded.  The edges of the page were outlined on the printed page in a combination of blue/pinkish gray.  Another page, the black print on the page photocopied/printed as pink.  It seems more of a problem with copying the upper middle part of the image, but it might be inconsistent.

Hello @ajewel , and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you're having issues with your print output.  I'd like to help!
I'd recommend removing the ink cartridges, and perform a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.
I would also recommend this document on Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web C309n All-in-One Printer ....

  • Why is only half the page printing

i have a Deskjet f380 when i want to print a page, the preview shows only half the page. and it will only print half the page. i checked the setting and they seem to be fine, what gives?

Suddenly my HP J5780 printer releases pages that gradually lose printing -- top of the page OK, middle weak, no bottom. What to do?

  • Ebay shipping lable only part per page will print

I don't use that paper, but do use Museum Etching. Try setting up PSP as shown below; it works for me.  Select the appropriate ICC profile for your paper

  • Can anyone explain how to correct printing when only the first page prints?

I am having a problem printing pdf document.  I am using Adobe Acrobat X, MacBook Air.  The first page of the pdf will print, but the remaining pages of the document do not.  I occurs on multiple printers. I have tried "Print as Image" and that works, but I want to be able to print without having to use Print as Image.

Let us know which specific USB model you have.
Normally when someone receives a USB modem error there are only a few places to look for solutions.  First would be a reinstall of the connection software.  Always go out to VZW and check to see if there is a newer version when you have problems.  Even if there isn't a reinstall can clear up many temporary problems with these devices.
Your error mentions something about connecting to LTE.  Perhaps there is an issue with the authentication of your device.  It might be a good idea to contact VZW to make sure you are properly registered. You also might want to try connecting in a different location incase there is something wrong with your current environment.  Connecting to a different tower or in a different location may be able to work around the problem.

  • J6480 part of page prints too light

A friend of mine has an hp office jet all in one printer model j6480 that is giving her problems. When she prints a page, the top half looks good, but the bottom prints too light. When she prints another page right after that, the same problem occurs.  She will bring it over for me to look at on Tuesday. In the meantime, I was hoping to get an idea of what might be causing it or how to diagnose the problem.
    Thanks

    Hi there,
Without knowing your printer and operating system I can only offer limited suggestions. Post back with them is this does not resolve your issue:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01892627&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en
Give the steps listed under your operating system a try and let us know if it helps.
    Best of Luck!

  • I could not print a receipt from an e mail.  The only part that would print was the heading.  How do I print a receipt from e mail?

I could not print a receipt from an e mail.  Only the header of the e mail would print.  How can I print the entire receipt?

Try Mail/File/Export as PDF, open it in Preview, and see if you can print it from there.

  • Prints garble intermittently. Some parts of pages print fine, others have characters replaced.

Computer is Windows XP. Printer is wired network connection. Printer is new OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911g and has the latest drivers and firmware.

    Found this fix..
    http://routingbyrumor.wordpress.com/2007/12/30/my-adobe-acrobat-pdf-files-are-printing-garbage-text-...
Today, after reprinting the same PDF several times, and getting garbage out each time, I clicked “print”, and started looking around in the print window that opens for my HP 7260 printer. When I print PDFs, I get an “Advanced” button in the bottom left corner of the print window that I can click on. There are a bunch of “greyed-out” postscript options in this window, but there is also a check box that says “Print as image”. I decided to check this box and click “OK”, which closes the advanced printing options window, then I clicked “OK” to send the PDF to the printer. I think doing this causes the entire document to be sent to the printer as “raster graphics”, rather than as PCL containing a mix of graphics and ASCII text.
Voila! The PDF printed correctly. I’m not certain that checking the “Print as image” option was the reason, but it’s worth trying if you are having this problem, and you have this option in your print setup.

  • Multiple pages in SP01 (spool) but only last page printed to printer.

    Dear Experts,
Here is a strange situation. I have 28 pages in one spool request, but when I print it out, only the last page printed out... Where are the 27 pages? Even though I use printing setting (From page 1 to page 28), it still printed last page only...
Can any one teach me how to solve this problem?
    Thank you!

  • Vista 64 - LaserJet P1505n - Word - printing only first 2 pages

I have a new Dell laptop with Vista 64 and HP LaserJet P1505n. When I try to print a multi page document in Word 2007, it only prints the first 2 pages. I have to tell it to print pages 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, etc. to get the rest of the pages. If I convert the same document to PDF, all pages print fine. Has any one resolved this issue?

    it's getting more interesting:
I connected the printer directly via USB; Voila, works like a charm
    Using wireless: problems.
Now it's specifically the wireless option why I choose this printer, so USB is not really an option.
Strange thing is: the HP Utility cannot find the printer wireless, not even if I enter the (static) IPv4 address.

  • Acrobat pro 9.5.5 is printing only part of the page

It looks fine on screen; it looks fine in the little preview when I print; but the actual printed page is mostly white, for this one page in a multipage document.  No layers.  Grey scale. This is a page that was combined with other PDF pages to form a document.
    Mac OS 10.10.2

Replying to myself - after searching for a while, I tried "print as image" under Advanced... in the print window, and the whole page printed.  Not sure what is going on but at least I have a work around.  I'd still like to know whether other people I send PDFs to will run into the same problem.

  • Officejet Pro 8600 Plus prints part of page and quits

My brahd-new Officejet Pro 8600 Plus prints part of page and quits.  The manual said to clean the print heads and align the printer.  I did both of those.  It made the problem worse.   I'm printing on photo paper - HP Premium Plus.  It happens about 1/2 the time.

    Hi beantowner2,
I would like to begin with a few questions,
Does this happen when you copy a photo, or only when you print form the computer?
Do you have the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or a surge protector?
What operating system and version is on the computer?
Is the printer connected to the computer with a USB cable or wirelessly?
If you have a WIndows operating system please download and install the latest firmware version for the printer. HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g_n Firmware.
If you are using a surge protector, I suggest disconnecting and connecting the power directly to a wall outlet.

In this document you will see,
    ISSUE:
