Only part of slideshow showing . . .

OK, I've got a slideshow I created using photos from iPhoto 6, bringing them directly into iDVD 6. There are currently 566 photos in the project, with background music brought in from iTunes. The entire project should run about 47 minutes, according to what iDVD shows me. I'm not using any kind of transitions; one photos simply moves to the next.
I used the "create disk image" in iDVD, then opened disk image and burned it to a DVD using Toast 6, which I've been happily doing for about a week now.
Toast says it verified the disk, no problems noted; I burned, at the suggestion of you kind folks, at 4X, using Verbatim DVDs.
I trotted off to show the kids their vacation photos, and we only got about half of them, maybe even only a third. I went back to the iDVD project, and all photos are present and accounted for, and if I run it in preview mode, they all show up.
Any ideas of what's going wrong and/or how to fix this before I run through all my blank DVDs?

This is how I handled a couple of my projects:
Ireland 2004 iDVD Project
Nearly 800 images dragged into iDVD as organized folders from the hard drive. Transitions on each image, and menus, sub-menus, and sub-sub menus. The sub-menus are created by clicking on the Folder icon on the iDVD interface.
Main Menu has 6 buttons: Downpatrick, Antrim Coast, Letterkenny, Sligo, Trim, and Extras. Behind each button are additional buttons ranging from 3 to 6 buttons. The Extras button goes fairly deep. When you click on Extras, it gives you 3 choices on a new menu. The "B&Bs" button opens a new menu with 5 buttons. The "Movies" button opens a new menu with 4 buttons. If you click on the "Irish Music" button, you open a new menu with 2 buttons. At that point, you are at a "sub-sub-sub menu."
Music was on 95 of the slideshows. Some movies converted to QT DV from Canon S400 digicam .AVI files (iDVD 4). Now convert to H.264 with QuickTime 7. Images are original 4MP (2MB) JPEG images from the same digicam. This DVD project is around 4GB with all pictures as DVD-ROM content.
Best Quality setting.
Mediterranean cruise
I had over 1000 images from a Mediterranean cruise. I broke them down in to 24 Albums in iPhoto (fewer than 99 images each). In iDVD, I created 6 Folders which created sub-menus. Main Menu buttons (folders/slideshows) such as Barcelona, French Riviera, Florence, Rome, Naples, Malta. Then I added each of the corresponding 24 iPhoto Albums to those 6 slideshows, thereby creating 24 total slideshows on sub-menus. Takes some planning. All slideshows had transitions and music.
Set to Best Quality.
G4 DP 1.25 GHz 2GB RAM 4 Drives 770GB Mac OS X (10.4.6) 2 SuperDrives (SL 8X & DL 16X)

Only part of my Itunes library shows.

The Ipod touch has all my music and such on it but when I go to sync new music onto it, only part of the library shows. I cant see any of the library in my itunes on the computer other than what i have purchased. New music doesnt sync even though it shows the device is connected. When i go to play with the settings to manually sync, it asks if i want to restore the ipod.
What do i do?

It is possible but it is not standard configuration for iTunes. You will need to learn details of how iTunes operates in order to stay on top of it and not be back here in a month with a messed up library, or in a year or two when you discover it is a real nuisance when it comes to transferring your content to a new drive.

You will, of course,need to temporarily re-designate your iTunes media folder location as part of doing this.
The above method is a possibility but I have not tested it because I still run iTunes 7.5
Another way would be to copy the files to the external drive. Delete them from iTunes, then drag the copied files back to iTunes (re-adding them) while holding down the option key. If you do have anything in a playlist it will have to be re-added to the playlist, and you will lose ratings and date added.

CS13 ----- will it show only parts with procurement type F ?

I have a basc issue
when we execute CS13 it summarises teh BOm and show the Bom component and quantity .
will it show only parts with procurement type F ?
when we execute CS13 for a finished product , its not displaying all the BOM components , the list is displaying only few
what might be the reason
will it show the parts only directly linked to it at the first level ?

Hi,
CS13 shows summarize BOM that mean it leaves out all the intermediate BOMs(sub assemblies) and displays on the end components. End component need not have procurement type F.
It will display End components in the any level.
To simply cross check, in CS12 add colum Assembly indicator and filter only those components having blank value. You will get report displayed as that of CS13.

Firebug 1.7 only shows html class=" head /html and only part of CSS, why?

Just now downloaded firebug 1.7 for firefox 4.0. open the window and see only few lines of html down to </html>. this is the same for every page I look at. as far as css goes, only part of my css page can be seen. what is the matter? am I missing part of the add on or what? thank you.

That exclamation mark is displayed when iPhoto cannot link to the original file. First make sure you are running a "managed" library by checking iPhoto's Advanced preference pane to make sure the checkbox to copy files into the library during import is checked.

If it is checked you can try the following: make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

HP Photosmart C4599 - Only part of document scanned

When I scan a document, sometimes only part of the page has been scanned when the HP Digital Scanning software displays the result of the scan. Other times the document scans ok and we can't work out why sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. We make sure that the A4 document is always in the correct position on the printer. Any help appreciated!

Been battling with this for months since i purchased an HP 6520: works if driven from my laptop, but scans in peices if driven from the HP scanner itself. HP replaced the printer- same problem. Been ongoing and no solution forthcoming. HP finally advised turning of the "auto selection" option, but i had already done the scan settings on my laptop show "combine into a single document".
Eventually i was referred to on-line support for one-on-one intervention and was advised this is a new problem related to OSX10.8 (But seeing the problems being reported for some while this doesn't appear to be correct) and that I'm one of three customers reporting this problem.
The problem, they tell me, has been escalated and should be fixed in future software updates, but i wouldnt hold my breath...!

Is it possible to burn only part of a podcast?

I subscribe to a podcast that is 3 hours long. It varies in quality of music. Is there any way to record only part of a podcast? Thanks!!

Why not use multiple text boxen?
Are you talking about something not entirely unlike this:

To get that to line up, I actually typed the full text in the first text box, and the fly-in text in the second text box. I lined the boxes up so that I couldn't tell looking at it that there were two text boxes, then deleted the unnecessary text from the bottom box.

Video adapter only works for slide shows.

We received the Apple video adapter today. It appears that it only works for slide shows? It might also work for Keynote, but we don't use that much and haven't installed on the iPad. For our purposes, we'd like to be able to display from other programs- Numbers, Pages, and a PDF reader. This seems counterintuitive to business use if the adaptor isn't fully functional. We are hoping that a software upgrade will make the adaptor functional.

The iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter can play content to a VGA display when using the following apps:
Videos
Photos—Slideshow playback only
YouTube
Keynote
Safari—Video content on webpages
Whether Apple will add additional support in the future is unknown, but you can indicate your interest to Apple via their feedback page:

Only partial handwriting notes showing up when I email the document

I am editing a document using the free-draw tool. When I email the document, only parts of each "drawing" show up.

This sounds like you may have encountered a bug. Can you please email a sample of one of these files to [email protected] along with a description of the missing content?

Display only part of the STRING field, but search ALL field

Hi all,
I have a field VARCHAR2(4000) that holds a lot of text.
When I make a report in APEX, it shows in each row, ALL text, so the report is very "ugly".
I want to limit the display of that column for only the first 60 characters.
I tried to use the SUBSTR function, that worked, but the search option will search for the text only in that 60 lenght characters, and will now search in the rest (not displayed) part of the field.
Is there a way to do this full search and display only part of the field?

You can have the 'substring' column displayed to the user, but have another column which shows the full text lets say it has an ALIAS of "*SEARCH_LARGE_TEXT*" in the report definition(and is among the displayed columns).
You can hide the large text column(SEARCH_LARGE_TEXT) using JS as
$('th[id="SEARCH_LARGE_TEXT"],TD[headers^="SEARCH_LARGE_TEXT"]').hide()
Note: ^= syntax used to match data column even when break formatting used
You can make sure that the column stays hidden even after an IR filter or refresh by binding it to the refresh event of the IR by
$('#apexir_WORKSHEET_REGION').bind('apexafterrefresh', function(){
$('th[id="SEARCH_LARGE_TEXT"],TD[headers^="SEARCH_LARGE_TEXT"]').hide()
change the string "SEARCH_LARGE_TEXT" with your column's alias

Two part iPhoto slideshow?

Is it possible to create a slideshow which is basically two parts and synched with two different songs? For example, I want to create one slideshow showing (first part) pictures of the wedding ceremoney and (second part) pictures of the reception. For the ceremoney I woul like the pics to be synched with one particular song and then transition to song number two as the pics from the reception start.
Any suggestions?

1. When sending photos as attachments in Mail, how do you make the attachment show up as a file, and not as an actual image?

2. When I explore the Photo directory, I get to IPhotoLibrary (I think this is a package file) and can not browse down into the individual .jpgs. How do I see the actual jpegs?

2 - to us iPhoto photos for other purposes in an open/upload dialogue page look in the lower right hand conner under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto and select your photos there

It won't let me watch and every time is select the little cloud it tells me that it is downloading but nothing happens. I have tried to sync it on my PC but I could only get the first couple of episodes.

HT201272 Downloaded only part of songs

Hi there,
During an attempt to download purchases from iTunes Store, one album did not successfully download, for every song on the album only parts of each song are downloaded even thought the counter shows the full song as being there. How can I re-download?

Your suggestion got me a reply from Apple which had some suggestions. One of which was restarting iTunes. I had already done that and finally after two shutdowns of the computer and restarting iTunes I was able to go to check available downloads. The downloads began again and completed.
I had tried to delete the partially downloaded songs so they could be reloaded but didn't knoe the trick to do this. If you want to delet songs hold down the option and delete keys to get a dialog box to verify deletion. here is the method from Apple.
"On a Mac: Press the Option key and the Delete key on the keyboard.
On Windows: Press the Shift key and the Delete key on the keyboard.
The following dialogue will appear: “Are you sure you want to remove the selected song from your iTunes library?”
Note: If you do not see this message when deleting files from the library, you may have selected the option “Do not ask me again” at some point in the past. To allow iTunes to display this message again, open the Advanced tab of the iTunes Preferences, and click the Reset button next to “Reset all dialogue warnings.”
This second dialogue may also appear: “Do you want to move the selected song to the Trash, or keep it in the iTunes Media folder? Only files in the iTunes Media folder will be moved to the Trash.”
Note: This message will not appear if all of the selected files are stored outside of the iTunes Media folder location. iTunes will leave these files on your computer wherever they are located"

My phone is not syncing properly, I wanted to add another playlist to it that I created on my Mac. I pluged in my phone and made sure the playlist I wanted to add was checked to be on my phone when I synced.
The playlist I wanted to add was "Country." It is clearly checked. I also wanted to add the "Recently Added" playlist, which I also checked before sycing. Currently, my phone only has the "Purchased" playlist and my "All Songs" playlist on it. When I hit sync, iTunes added another playlist automatically added another playlist to the list above and checked it. It was titled "ALL SONGS 1" and had ten fewer songs in it than the playlist I had created, "ALL SONGS" had. This playlist, however does not show up on my phone after syncing, nor does "Country" or "Recently Added." (Every time I sync, another playlist is created as "ALL SONGS 2, 3, 4, etc.") One of the songs (I have not, yet checked the other songs) that I purchased from within iTunes Radio shows up in the "ALL SONGS 1" on this screen:
But does not show up anywhere else. This playlist does not show up anywhere but the two screens above. The ALL SONGS 1 or 2 playlists do not show up here:
When I search for those song in my library, it shows that I do not have them:
But if I go to the iTunes store, I get the play button and not the price of the song:
This is what things look like from my phone's side of things:
"Summertime Sadness," one of the songs I bought from iTunes Radio, does not show up in the iTunes store under purchased "All" or "Not on This iPhone"
But, it does show up under "Recent Purchases"
Also, this is what playlists are on my phone after syncing a million times:
Only what was on there before I started any of this. "Summertime Sadness" and the other songs I bought from inside iTunes Radio, do not show up in either of these playlists. Please, help me.

"Only Part I" for Goods receipt (MIGO) in excise invoice tab

Dear Gurus,
I have configured a material with all CIN configuration setting, while doing goods receipt for that material I want to capture excise invoice through excise invoice tab, for which i need to select " Only Part 1" in the invoice tab.
But in my currrent senario while posting goods recipt, In excise invoice tab, I am not detting " Only part 1" option when i select excise invoice tab.
How to configure "only part 1" option to appear in excise invoice tab.
