Only showing old backup - new ones not being recorded

Apologies if this has been answered already...I couldn't find it in the posts.
I have been backing up probably about once a week or every 2 weeks since December, yet when I enter TM, all I can see are the several backups from during the day of Dec 5th. When I look at the files in my external hard drive, the dates are only December 5th.
Yet when I go the the TM preferences it says "Oldest backup: 2 January 2008" and "Latest Backup: 2 March 2008". But as I said when entering TM all I can see are today and 5th Dec.
I just today, changed the name of my Mac to remove the apostrophe and am currently backing up to see if that worked, however it clearly backed up on Dec 5th when I did have the apostrophe in my computer name.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very grateful!

found out what you need to do from another website, googled my problem and it came up with this answer:
if your computer see your ipod as a drive,right-click to it,then click format.be sure it is FAT32 and 'quick format' box is checked.
when the format is finished,go to ipod updater and restore your ipod.
it works

Who is email provider? What sort of email account is it - POP3, IMAP or Exchange? POP3 will work like this as with that whoever first downloads the latest mail from the server deletes it from there and so it's unavailable to other mail clients on other devices.
Either switch your email account to IMAP or change your POP3 account's settings so the new mails are not deleted for some time (a week, a month or whatever) after first download and are thus available to other devices also (IMAP is best solution but if POP3 is all that's available from whoever your provider is then you'll have to live with POP's limitations).

Cannot delete an old vault that is not being used.

Cannot delete an old vault that is not being used. I get the following notification: The operation can’t be completed because the item “#3 Vault-GTech RAID mini-1TB” is locked. I placed this vault on a external HD until I set up a new vault with the same name in Aperture.
Now I want to delete the older Vault. Any suggestions? Thank you, Bob Stern

OK think I have it, but you'll need to use the terminal window and sudo to do this If you never used either then read this carefully before you begin.
start
Open a terminal, go to /Applications/Utilities and click on the Terminal app.
Type the following but do not press return: sudo chflags nouchg
Make sure to enter a space at the end of the above command
Go to Finder, locate the vault and drag it to the Terminal window at the end of the above command. The mouse pointer will turn into a green plus sign showing you your are dragging the file.
When you let go the full path of the vault will be at the end of the command, now press return.
If this is the first time you are running sudo you'll get some text telling you to be very careful. You'll also be prompted for your password, enter it.
Back in Finder in the Info window for the vault the Locked checkbox should be clear.

Setting up new iPhone 5 from icloud (previous one lost). Updated iOS (previous iPhone had iOS 7) but can't find iPhone backup (only shows iPad backups); however, I can see all my contacts on iCloud.com. Can all my contacts be there without having made any iPhone backup on iCloud? iPad is on 6.1.3

Maybe you can try some data recovery program to search your iPhone backup files. These kinds of data recovery programs
for example, iPhone Data Recovery, are designed to help users to find back and recover their lost files.
I suggest that you run this kind of software, and then choose the 3rd mode in the software to retrieve all of your iCloud backup, I guess you can see your iPhone backup there.
With such awesome software, you can also recover deleted or lost iPhone data.

Spy menu only showing some items and properties not available

I am having some issues with the spy menu. In order to try and fix my issues I built the menu from scratch again on one of my pages. Everything works now on that page and when I upload it to the server, it is all there.
However, when I then copy and paste the menu to all the other pages and upload the the server, the submenu doen't show anymore. When I go and troubleshoot it and highlight the menu in its entirety and click properties, no properties will show. On the working page, this ation delievers me a properties bar where I can + or - menu items. Why is this? As this must be why the submenu is not showing either?
The page where everything works is this (See sub menu under coaching clinics) http://www.golifecoaching.com.au/go-beyond-registration-test but on every other page on this website, this submenu disappears.
Can anyone help? I am tearing my hair out and don't fancy having to build the menu from scratch for every page. There has to be a better way.

Disclaimer: I am new to coding in general and this is my first attempt to help someone.
I think the properties bar with the + - has to do with the javascript coding that is generated when you create a new tag, and it is located near the bottom of the page just before the closing body tag.
looks something like this:

so dont forget to copy that over too. Also, check the CSS that is associated within each page and make sure they are all in the same style.
P.S. Have you considered using a template for the menu bar so you dont have to copy it over each time?

You have to sign out completely in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud on all your devices and then sign back in again.

I have a Rocketfish mini display port to VGA adaptor cord for a macbook pro, it was working fine the first week, now it does not show what I am seeing on my laptop on my lg Flat screen tv. It only shows the space background but not any icons. Any help??

It seems as though though it may be a connection issue, possibly hardware or adapter. Make certain the connections are TIGHT.
For software you may try a smc reset:
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.
Try a pram reset:
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Option, Command (⌘), P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on your Mac.
Immediately press and hold the Option-Command-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears. Continue holding the keys down until your Mac restarts, and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
If no joy you can take it in to an Apple store genius bar for a free evaluation make an appointment first.

Can I reload an old firefox? There is no firefox logo at top. When I rt click at top I see hide toolbar and leave full screen. To the right there is only a home sign. How can I get my BOOKMARKS ??????? I so need them and hate what ever this is that now shows up on firefox.

It would help to post what you've tried. It does, indeed, appear that -h is the switch, and the man includes several examples, so if you've followed the examples and it's not working then that hints that you should pass it back to Apple.
You also don't say how you're implementing your change. Are you invoking slapd manually, or are you editing /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.openldap.slapd.plist ?
You should be doing the latter, and I'd expect to see something like this:

You might also need an ldaps URL if you're using SSL but let's walk before we try to run

If you have sent a test print via ePrint, and experience this issue, i would call the Cloud Services department.
If ePrint works fine, it is definitely a Google Cloud Print issue.
Also, when you print from your android device, are you using Google Cloud print or the HP ePrint app?

Calls not being recorded with AQM 8.5

We have installed AQM 8.5 with UCCX 8.5 and CCM 8.6 but the agent calls (voice & screenshots) are not being recorded on their desktops, AQM is sync with UCCX and have verified with manual sync and found no issue. Clint applications ( calabrio plug ins & desktop agent recording service) has been installed on the agent machine. The agent machine is daisy chained with a 7945 phone. On AQM server configurations done as per administration guide. Is there any service or application which needs to be started along with CAD for recording.

Actaully it was Java 7 where the page was greyed out, i downgraded it to version 6 update 20 but now when i click on validate pc i have error on page. This was happening with windows 7.
I installed jre ver 6 update 20 on windows XP, i was able to validate the pc settings successfully and login but now i have recording playing error, the screen shot is given for reference

Time capsule not showing old backups

i bought the time capsule in the middle of october and set it up. but when i got into the time machine to find the old backups it only shows the oldest back up as november 13th, and each day it moves to the next. ex tomorrow it will show the oldest as november 14th. and when i look at the time capsule i have only used 1.96 of the total 2 TB. the "tick" marks on the side of the time machine dont always show the pink, which means it was backed up to the time capsule. it shows grey marks saying it was saved on the mac(as if i was not connected to the time capsule)

I'm using the Time Machine interface from the original icon in the dock.
I figured it out. Just a minute ago I went to Time Machine, it mounted the backup and showed it on my desktop but when the "space" view came I wasn't able to browse anything. It didn't show any dates. I exited Time Machine and immediately went back and now I was able to browse all the backups and all the backup dates were shown. I tried it later and again I couldn't browse my backups. This time I waited and finally they showed up and everything worked. It just seemed to take a long time for the backups to be browseable.
