"only sync checked items" option grayed out

Note: This is the fifth frakin time I've tried to post this, but this forum site keeps crapping out on me. So, I apologize for any duplicates that might appear.
Hey folks,
I've successfully upgraded to iTunes v7, and while everything else appears to be working okay, I'm having trouble with the "only sync checked items" option. The option is grayed out and I can't enable it.
My poor Mini just doesn't have enough space to hold my entire library, so I rely heavily on this option to move back and forth all the podcasts I want to listen to on a daily basis. While I can do all this by manually dragging files over, I'd rather use the built-in option that specifically meets this need.

I've got the same problem. Two days and no reply yet? What's especially troubling is that syncing only checked items had been my preference under iTunes 6. ITunes 7 should have kept all the same preferences.

I've updated iTunes to the newest version and my 5th gen. iPod to v1.2. I'm trying to get the box on the iPod summary page to become "checkable"... it's the "only sync checked items" box, and it's grayed out... without it, the way I manage my podcasts becomes entirely screwed up. Anybody?

Itunes Visualizer will only display fullscreen, other options grayed out

I am using the newest version of itunes on Vista SP1.
The visualizer worked perfectly at first, in the song list window size. I wanted to try it fullscreen so i went through the menu and chose show full screen, and it worked.
But i would prefer to have the visualizer in a non fullscreen mode. When i go to pick one of those modes through the menu, the options are grayed out, and if i use the ctrl+0,1,2, or 3 while the visualizer is going it just exits fullscreen mode and closes the visualizer all together, leaving me looking at my playlist.
Any ideas or key sequences?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing changes.

Where is the "Only update checked songs" option in the iPod Preferences

i have itunes 7.0.2 which i assume is the same thing as 7.0 and whenever i plug in my ipod, click on the ipod icon, and go to summary tab, the only options i get are "sync music: All songs or playlists" or "sync music: selected playlists." there's no option for "only sync checked items." it's very frusterating. could you please give me very direct instructions on how to get only checked music onto my ipod? thanksss.

One thing you want to check is to make sure you have your iPod set to only sync checked songs. To do this, plug your iPod in and when it appears in iTunes, on the Summary tab, you will see a section called "Options" below. You want to make sure you have a check mark next to "Sync only checked songs and videos" and then hit Apply and see if that helps.

Good morning Old Toad.
I did as you suggested:
1) Booted from install CD.
2) Ran Disk Utilities on internal hard drive--no repairs necessary. For good measure, did the same thing on external drive. Also no repairs necessary.
3) Checked software update--no updates found. About this Mac said I was already running 10.4.7. For good measure, I downloaded the latest and installed it. Since it let me run the install, I'm not sure if I installed something new or reinstalled what I already had.
4) I rebooted from CD, ran disk utilities, ran repair disk--no repairs necessary. Repaired permissions and a lot of permissions repaired.
5) Tried to delete the files and the same old thing happened: kernel panic. The specific message:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00102A08): jnl: transaction too big (1587712 >= 1572352 bytes, bufsize 8192, tr 0x29f1fb0 bp 0x2801de40)
So there's no change in my status.
I'm trying to delete the files because:
A) They already take .5 Gb.
B) I can't get rid of them ever. If I move the problem files to a different folder, I can only do one successful drag-and-drop backup to the external drive until the "new" thumb segments become unerasable just like the previous versions and crash the system.
C) I can't even "just" drag and drop every file/folder except the thumbs, because that ends up crashing the system as well. So I have to drag and drop every file/folder in the iPhoto hierarchy individually. Which makes me less inclined to backup, which defeats the purpose of a backup.
D) After the iPhoto fiasco I'm just crabby about all the Apple screw-ups I'm experiencing and I want to get them fixed.

I When I go to edit my page an alert pops up ... an error has occured in the scripe on this page . What does this mean and what is it doing to the program or preventing me from doing ?
I have a lot of options grayed out and not able to use when editing or making new pages? << highlight color, change text color, change size, change fonts. >> resizing images, page properties 5 out of 7 options grayed, etc. ... I checked under Administrators and all there looks okay and I am the only one using the program. I have gone to the Administrator Settings, then styles/fonts/size and all check for my use.
OOnly on two of my main pages are all of the options available to use on either a New or Edit page but none are available on the other tabbed pages of my website. Even if I cut and paste a document the color, size and font changes to what is on the page.

Don't make a text selection, but simply put your text cursor in the text with the new formats. Most likely, you have a mix of character formats selected.

ST22 (DEBUGGER option grayed out)

Not sure if this is a security question. When I go to St22, search for dumps, click on a specific dump, and then do goto - the debugger option , it is grayed out. Normally object S_DEVELOP controls the debug rights and I have S_DEVLEOP with * . I even tried with SAP_ALL, still that menu item is grayed out. So it should not be a security issue. Is that meant to be grayed out. Why is that present in the menu over there in the ST22 transaction. Not sure what is it that makes it from a grayed out functionality to an active menu item. Obviously it there in the st22 menu for a reason. Beats me. Any help is appreciated. Could not find any useful info via the internet or service market place. Thanks in advance

Hi,
it's not related to security. This feature is available only right after you get a dump. When you display dump in ST22 then it's not possible to jump into debugger.

i don't know why things go wrong for me
it's about 3 hours that i am googling & studying documents on how to use Debugger in PS 4.0 ISE
the problem is i open my script in ISE, but when i open debug menu, step over,
step into, step out, stop debugger and many other items on debug menu in ISE are
gray out.
( my script contains about 20 commands)
i need to run my script in line by line method (step into)
but its gray out :-(
i studies many pages regarding powershell debugger but none of the mentioned first enabling debugger ( i think maybe it's off by default)
am i on the right way ? is debugger feature by default off in PS 4.0 ISE? is this what debugging items are gray out?
i looked for a cmdet to enumerate the current state of ISE debugger (on or off) but unfortunately didn't find anything.
another confusion: is it necessary to run the entire script at least one time so that step into feature be available to use?

Unless you have break points inserted and the script actually running, then those options will be greyed out. You need to first insert your break point, and then run the script. Once the code where the break point is going to be executed, the script
will stop there allowing you to step into or out of

the rule is:
when we want to examine our entire script line by line ( step into our script), we must create a line breakpoint on the
first line of the script &
then press F5, now the items on the debug menu are available such as step into
i wrote this for people who encounter such problem but after lots of search on the internet, they find no document describing this

Help! FCS3-How do I reduce bitmap size if drop down edit item is grayed out?

I am in Flash CS3. I need to reduce a bunch (300) Bitmaps pixels dimensions from 1068 px to 270 px across (and proportional height) in library but the "edit with..." (external editor) drop down item is grayed out. I have tried everything, including looking for ways to export the Bitmaps to create new images and update library items. I am stumped! Hi,
One solution I can think of is to use your bean to set up more than just a Vector of values from the database. If you could instead create a vector of objects which contain a reference to the row as well as the data then you can use that to name the select control:

This would then require you to access all request parameters and search for those starting with "Choice_" you can then extract the reference from the name and the new selection from the value.

Why is the email option grayed out from iphoto sharing

I am running iPhoto 9.5.1 on Mavericks. When I select a photo and try to share it the share menu has email and all the social meida options grayed out. Checking accounts in iPhoto my email accounts are there. I tried deleting and reinserting the one I want to use and restarting iPhoto, but it is still grayed out.

You need to update yoru profile - it says OS X 10.6.8
In the iPhoto preferences select an email client (I personally prefer Mail) and if you are using iphoto enter your email information in teh accounts tab (If you use Mail it will use yuro existing sset up)
Same for social media - enter your account information in the accounts tab

How do i only sync checked music?

I am trying to sync only the music that I want on my phone instead of mine and my husbands music. Our music together is taking up too much space on my phone! Can someone please help me?!

To only sync checked songs, connect your device, go to the Summary tab, and check the "Sync only checked songs and videos" option (pictured below).
Note that to get only certain songs onto your device, checkboxes will do but are not really the best way. When you get a few minutes, try the alternative known as "Sync Selected Playlists."

Sip dialer port export option grayed out in configuration manager ucce 10

I am configuring the outbound option for ucce 10, when i configure the sip dialer port (dialer conifguration) in conifiguration manager, i just added 5 ports, i can see this ports showing in dialer process on the PG, but i need to export this ports to Unified communication manager, i could not able to export it because this option grayed out (i did select all, or individual selection both are having export option grayed out)
Any idea?

Exporting port configuration is only allowed for SCCP, in SIP Dialer Deployment its actually not needed and that why its grayed out.

in Sip Dialer you don't need to create any Port For Dialer under CUCM. its only required in SCCP.
Sip Dialer port Directly registers with VG.

If you're not able to enable Location Services on your iPhone 4s, first restart the device:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Next, try resetting the location settings on the device to factory default:
If you would like to reset all of your location settings to the factory default, go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Location & Privacy. When your location and privacy settings are reset, apps will stop using your location until you grant them permission.
