I cannot ad pix and vids to my ipad2 since new system. It backs up all the time but does not allow me to ad photos and vids

Have you made any permissions changes to your Home folder or its other folders? Are you transferring documents that are owned by another user than yourself?
What are the permissions for your Home, Desktop, and Documents folders? Select a folder. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the bottom section you will find the information for Owner, Group, and Everyone. What are they?

Have you tried resetting the device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your Music app is behaving normally.

On the RAM issue, I fully agree with what Etresoft has written. I have just visited various sites, including OWC, Mactracker and iFixit and your Mac seems to have the Penryn processor. It will address 6GB of RAM which is more than enough for your use.
Where I differ from him, is Lion. The last big cat which I liked was probably Snow Leopard, and thereafter now Yosemite. There has been a lot of successes with your generation migrating to Yosemite, but with 6GB of RAM. Admittedly there were also problems for some, but I have observed even more successes even after initial problems. Mostly these problems were caused by adware or crapware installations. (Thank you Etresoft for a wonderful utility!)
Your iMac also has a SATA interface for a 3GB SSD, which is good enough. We have a Mac here with the same interface, still with a normal conventional stock HD running Yosemite, but only 4GB of RAM and it is running fine.
Of course the newer technology processors, faster RAM, PCI SSD, greater bandwidth on the newer Macs perform much better. But as I am on the older side, (ha ha), some of the 'vintage' Macs are still my favourites to use for certain tasks. Like using 9.09 for doing certain things and then converting the results afterwards for completion!
But, once again, it is your decision and only you can decide as you yourself knows your own circumstances better. Weigh up the options, considering what Etresoft has pointed out vs what Yosemite offers ito continuous support, security and features. There are a lot of your type of iMacs out there, and some of the users spoke about feeling like having a new Mac. There were others, who were wailing though. You could of course, also follow the advice of a test installation on an external and testdrive it, or wait for the release of 10.10.2 which I read somewhere is eminently close?

I have 3 Apple devices - iMac, iPhone, and iPad. I am planning to move to iCloud from MobileMe. In iTunes, I just choose to sync whatever files I want my iPhone and iPad to have since they don't have sufficient disk space as my iMac.

With the exception of photo stream, iCloud doesn't sync your apps or photos between devices. You will continue to sync this content via iTunes in the same way as you do now.
Photo stream allows you to sync your most recent photos between all devices, you have the option to use photostream or not.

You asked what I meant about saving the installer on your PC.
When you go to the iTunes download page:

And click on download, you should be offered the choice of running the installer or saving it. You need to click on save and then choose a folder on you PC where you want it saved. But I think you already did that.
After the installer file - iTunessetup.exe - is save on your computer, you double click on it to run it.
It's very odd that the installer fails at different stages. usually when the installation fails, it is at a specific stage and usually generates an error message.
I am afraid I am mystified. Have you had any other problems with your PC which might suggest a general problem not specific to iTunes?
The only other suggestion I have is to download a fresh copy of the installer - in case it got corrupted. You could also try using "run as administrator" to run the installer. It should be an option if you right click on the installer file.
The other thing it might be worth trying is to install it from another account, but you would need to create another administrator account if you don't a;ready have one. Or if you have another account that is not an admin account, you can temporarily promote it from the control panel>>User accounts.

If you have checked the permission, I suggest you checking the Membership Approval configuration.
1. Closed the option “owner approval is required to join the group”
2. Open the option “anyone can leave this group without being approved by the group owners”

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

And now, you need the alternate information for doing the RGB representation of some or all the colors?
InDesign itself does not provide an interface to that.
Nor does scripting.
However, you could change the values in an IDML or IDMS file by editing the file(s):
AlternateSpace="NoAlternateColor" to: AlternateSpace="RGB"
AlternateColorValue"" to: AlternateColorValue"0 144 54" (a green one)

surely. You need to sync the files to your camera-roll in iOS, use itunes/iphoto. IMovie in iOS can access all videos that are in the camera-roll ( photos.app ) .
The Apple iPad camera connection kit will also be a big help : With it you can insert a digital cameras SD-Card into the iPad and mass-import the footage . Using this you avoid the iTunes/PC/OSX procedure to load material into the ipad.

Never had a problem before iOS 8. Someone (hello Apple) needs to develop a utility to help manage artwork recovery.

I believe your model iMac can address 3 GB RAM; the minimum for Lion is 2 GB - however, that is an absolute minimum for very light use. You would be much happier with a minimum of 4 GB.

i have done the same activity ( buy a new iphone 4 -> upgrade to ios5 - > configure email) with success-
than when i start to move the contacts from old mobile to iphone (using the microsim) i receive the same crash
in disgnosis e use i saw 2 dump with this title 'latestCrash-Preferences.plist and LatestCrash.plist. in each file the date is the same and i read:
