Reset all Firefox printer settings
# Open your profile folder:
# On the menu bar, click on the Help menu and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open.
# Under the Application Basics section, click on Show in Finder. A window with your profile folder will open.
# Note: If you are unable to open or use Firefox, follow the instructions in Finding your profile without opening Firefox.
# On the menu bar, click on the Firefox menu and select Quit Firefox.
# In your profile folder, copy the prefs.js file to another folder to make a backup of it.
# Open the original prefs.js file in a text editor (such as TextEdit).
# Remove all lines in prefs.js that start with print. and save the file.
# If something goes wrong when you open Firefox, close it again and overwrite prefs.js with the backup you made.

JLB284Open Activity monitor in Utilities, go to the CPU tab>All Processes, and note any process that would appear to be related to importing photos, such as iPhoto, and use Force Quit. This may only be a temporary fix, as it may start all over again when you reboot. If that happens, we need to do some more investigating.
Also, close all open Applications, then open Terminal in Utilities and copy/paste and hit return, then post the output of this command.

I can't see the other person when using facetime but they can see me just fine, how can i fix this?
When I use facetime with my fiance on my brand new macbook air she can see me but I can't see her. Please help me remedy this problem, I have verified that I am logged into facetime and connected it with both my ipone5 and my email but haven't seen any changes. MacBook Air does not run iOS. It runs OS X (pronounced as in OS - ten). You can check which version you have by clicking the Apple logo in the upper left of the menu bar, then "About This Mac". The current version is OS X 10.8.4. If you do not have that version, you can click "Software Update" just below the "About This Mac" entry under the Apple logo.
Anyway, typically, the reason for the FaceTime behavior you're describing is a less-than-robust internet WiFi connection. -
I had many folders under my main e-mail account, with all my historical e-mails. I want to remove my account to set it up again, and in doing so removed all the subfolders under that account. Is there any way to get those subfolders back?

sometimes when i put a new cd into my itunes libray all the songs do not end up under the same icon. sometimes it will go into the library under 3 or 4 different icons (album artwork) and sometimes if there are for example 12 songs on the cd each song goes under a separate icon.this seams to happen more frequently with cd's that have different artists on one disc and not just one artist performing all the songs.
is there anyway to prevent this from happening?

thanks to anyone that can offer some helpThe sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.
It is a good idea to backup before undertaking large scale changes. See this backup tip for a suggested approach.

Missing parts list shows only the first material.
in case of MTO cycle, when i create a plnd order to prod order,in material availability check, system is not displaying all the materials for which shortages are there, instead its showing only the first material.
any helpYou need to ensure that these materials are actually missing. You check this in transaction CO09 (SAP Note 89362). The checking rule will be whatever you assigned to the production order type in OPJK.
Also, you need to ensure that the "missing" materials are actually checked for availability - The checking group is assigned in the MRP3 tab of the material master. In OVZ2, look at the entry for this checking group and ensure that "No Check" is not ticked. -
How do I print only the first page of multiple PDF documents?
I have about 1,500 PDF files (scientific papers) that I need to print only the first page of... Any suggestions on how to do this as a single job or as a few jobs? The files are organized in a bunch of different folders, so if there was some way to do this folder by folder, that would be ok too. Thanks!
Make sure that in System Preferences Printing & Fax pane you set the default printer to the one you want to use, then put all of these PDF files into their own folder, then open terminal and type the following (without hitting return afterward):
lpr -o page-ranges="1-1"
Then drag one of the PDF files into the terminal window (it will add it's path to the end of your command) and replace the file name with *.pdf, so it will look like this:
lpr -o page-ranges="1-1" /Users/todd/Documents/My\ Folder/*.pdf
Then hit return. -
Only the first page for a particular site prints. All other sites are fine.
I'm running Firefox 10.0.2 on Windows 7 SP1 and when I try to print the web page of the affected URL ( http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Connect-to-another-computer-using-Remote-Desktop-Connection ), only the first page is printed. It prints fine in IE 9. I tried printing in safe mode and it still only prints the first page. I only tried printing it once, after that I used print preview alone. I used print preview on a dozen other sites and it works fine. By the way, on the web page I'm trying to print you must "Show All" at the bottom to expand all of the text. It's just this one web page. Can someone else with a similar setup try print preview on this page for me? I just want to know. I printed it using IE. Interestingly, if you scale the print preview down enough, all of the text shows up. Thanks...
Well, I've made a little progress. I saved the web page source locally and then added the following HTML snippet to the <head> section:

When I display this, the "Show all" does not work, but the page text is still long enough to do "Print Preview" and expect more than one page. The result is a blank first page (expected) and then ALL of the page text is printed on the next two pages.
But I think you are correct "the-edmeister" in saying that Firefox may have a problem when the DIV tag spans more than one page. The reason is that the third page only contains the footer, so I can't say for sure if the whole DIV block was printed. But at least the footer did show up this time.
If I can get the "Show all" block to expand then maybe that question will be answered. Any thoughts? -

I tried to fix the problem with some of the suggestions on that page, but none seem to work. I believe that is the only website that I'm having that problem on. I got to fooling with it a bit more and when I highlight the whole page and select to print the selected area, it actually prints the whole page then, but it won't do it as a default. I guess I can just do it like that from now on, but I thought there would be something in the settings that I could have changed. Thanks again for the help.

I regularly print newspaper articles that I view in Firefox. Until recently, multi-page documents formatted beautifully. Now only the first page is properly formatted. The other pages are enlarged and shifted to cuttoff several lines of text at the top of the page.
Once you set that preference it should hold that setting. You could try 125% but it might clip the right-side of the page.

You may want to output the necessary records to each page like the first 10 records to the first page the next the to the second page. Why does only the first page of seach results show, with further pages graying out?
In a search, I may get >1,000,000,000 hits, but only the first page is readable. "Next" gives me a grayed out screen and FF freezes. Any of the offered searches at the bottom of that first screen will do the same thing. Repeated hitting "back" will clear it.
This has been true, through all the upgrades, including a backgrade to 3.6 (?) for 64-bit. This makes FF useless as a search platform, though it is my preference, even over Chrome, if it would work.

Use Automator - it has a "PDF to Images" action that will do exactly what you need. Drop your document into the workflow, drop the "PDF to Images" action in right after that, set any options that you need (like where to save) and then click "run"
Barring that, I've found that sometimes Adobe Reader will sometimes work well for documents that Preview can't print, and I've found some documents that Adobe Reader chokes on but Preview handles flawlessly.
