Only the upper part of the fax is received

Upon moving to Tiger, I've wanted to be able to use the Mac's own fax capability (I always used old reliable FaxSTF). But everytime someone tries to send me a fax, only the upper quarter, or third, is received (it's the same from all different senders). Does anyone know if I'm missing a setting for getting full (and all) pages of an incoming fax?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

On my work pc only, I cannot click on links in the upper part of the screen while using firefox. This "dead area" affects only about the top 20% of the page, while below that I can click on all links.

This does not happen on my laptop computer or on any other program my work computer runs.

That problem can be caused by the Yahoo! Toolbar or the Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

In Firefox window below toolbar, I am unable to click on links in the upper part of the window, ie the cursor does not change into the hand icon and the link is not highlighted.

The toolbar and the lower part of the window works normally, as does the whole window in Internet Explorer.
I have reinstalled Firefox with no improvement.

The upper part of the page is not opaque, and the desktop shows through. Thus, the menu bar is hard to read. How to remedy this?

The area behind the menu bar and the line above it, all the way across to the minimize, maximize and close icons is not opaque and the desktop and desktop icons show through. There is nothing I can find in Firefox Help to change this. Also, it would be nice if the menu bar could be made larger and more visible -- and if I could delete "Yahoo!" from the menu bar, leaving just the important items (File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help). Any suggestions?

I have been trying to click on some items on several pages and I realized that the upper part of the page is not even responding to my left and right click. my iphone 4 32 giga ios 5.0.1 screen is not 100% working, because the upper part of the screen is not really responding to me ,but the lcd screen is working fine, i cant swipe the notification screen down or use the apps in the top of the screen.

PSE7 when opening the editor only the upper half of the picture is displayed

When I open a picture in the editor only the upper half of the picture is displayed in the lower part of the screen. I tried adjusting the size of the canvas but that didn't work.

Initially I could find no cause. Then I tried right click - Edit and on the affected images, always get this warning:
"Image Cannot Be Edited - This photo was previously edited with another application or with an early version of Iphoto. Duplicate this photo to edit it." and a "Duplicate To Edit" Button is displayed.
The external Editor defined for iPhoto is Adobe Photoshop Elements.
Now, I reckon the MUST be others out there affected by this same apparent Preview bug, yet my searches have not revealed any answers. Also seems impossible to find a contact number for adobe???

Definitlely have it looked at. That could be a hardware deffect on the maker(apple) so there could be a definite replacement option.

Unable to browse the hypertext in the upper part of a website by using Firefox

I can't browse the hypertext in the upper part of a website by using Firefox. For example, in the website of Firefox, the cursor fails to change from 'arrow' to 'hand' when I point to 'Sign Out' or 'Inbox'. But it's ok for the remaining part of the website (i.e. not upper part).
However, if I use Internet Explorer, I havn't encountered the same problem. Please help advise.

How to delete the upper part of screen

Hi everybody!!!
I'm using LV 6.0 to create an interface man/machine and i'd like to delete the upper part of my screen, where there are all buttons which that aren't usefull to users!!!
Is it possible??

It depends on what the buttons are connected to. If you just delete the buttons (which you can!), you will get broken wires on the diagram. So, you first want to make sure you really don't need those buttons.
The easiest would be -- so as to not break the code -- to change those buttons into constants: right-click on them and select change to constant.
Again, it all depends on what the buttons are supposed to do.

How to get only the last part of the URL in the doGet() method?

In the doGet() method is there a way to check what URL it was called from ? For example the URL was: http://localhost:8080/myproject/jsp/randomPhrase.php (the php here is purely for misleading purposes - it's all Java really). in the doGet() method I would like to get the "randomPhrase" part of the URL only - to determine where to redirect the user. How can I do that?

As it seems to me the part of the URL you're looking fo,r corresponds actually to the name of the servlet, so why don't you just call the getServletName method?
