Only want acrobat 10, not 5.5 suite - license not working

I'm up to CS6 creative suite through TechSoup. We are a 501c3. I had Acrobat 10 from 5.5 suite. Tried to install cloud - won't load acrobat. Not sold on cloud yet.
But it ate Acrobat X - now I cannot print to PDF. Tried to just download Acrobat X because that would make 3 versions of Adobe suite - 6, 5.5 and cloud - it's getting crowded on my computer. Is there a way with my license for 5.5 to only get Acrobat X to work? I don't want to undo all of my 6 suite just to get Acrobat.

if you have a 5.5 license you must use the 5.5 suite to install acrobat X. you can pick and choose which programs to install so you need not install the entire suite if you only want acrobat X

Acrobat Pro XI for Mac- only wants to print dual sided, option to deselect not present

Hi folks- same problem was happening on Acrobat Pro x, so i returned it.
Chat won't help on old version, nor on trial of new version, why would i buy it if it can't be fixed i queried, they didn't care.

Wow, it worked. Many thanks. This is what I did, following your directions to print PDF files as double-sided:
01-Command P & Click "Printer button".
02-Click Yes.
03-Click the Popup Arrow to display contents.
04-Select Two-sided "Long-Edge binding" or whatever needed and Click Print.
05-Click OK to Print.
What fooled me is that from Word (.doc) files the screen on step 3 and 4 show directly selecting a popup menu on the initial print window, whereas when printing PDF files it is required to go through steps 1-2-3 above.

Which property is ONLY for the list image in a paragraph bullet?
I tried several different approaches and none worked untill suddenly, the list image is all over the place. I don't want it in my spry horizontal menu/sub menus, just the paragraphs in my body/main content.

Too many <ul> tags in your HTML lists. You only need one set of <ul> tags like so:

Server 2012 R2 RDS- Only want the Session Host, Connection Broker and Licensing Server!

Hi all,
Wondering if anyone has experience with implementing Remote Desktop Services (RDS) on Windows Server 2012 R2.
I am doing an RDS design for a platform where we only need an RDS Session Host, Licensing Server and Connection Broker. We do not need web access as these servers will simply be jump boxes internally!
However, implementing this correctly in our test environment has proved to be tricky. The options are:
Use the Server Manager and do a traditional install via Roles and Features ( specifically add the Session Host, Licensing Server and Connection Broker). The installation process seems to go through ok in this scenario but when I head over to the Remote
Desktop Services section of the Server Manager I simply get the message 'An RDS Deployment does not exist in the server pool. To create a deployment head to Roles and Features'.
Use the specific ‘Remote Desktop Services installation’ option on the Server Manager and do a Session Based Desktop deployment and Quick Start. This installation process seems to go through correctly and the Remote Desktop Section seems to be working
correctly via the Server Manager. However this process is ‘hard locked’ i.e. it installs the session host, web access and connection broker. I can then remove the web access component later from Roles/ Features.
Is there a best practice (if any) for installation? i.e. Will there be any issues down the line if I remove RDS Web Access from my server while following method 2?
There is a complete lack of documentation from Microsoft here so not sure what to do! Just need a basic RDS session based deployment.

As I know from server 2012\R2 the best deployment skill is to perform via “Remote Desktop Services” installation mode with Standard deployment and don’t let single role to install. Because when we install through RDS mode, there are specific extra tools and
services activated along with that deployment which you can’t find with single role installation. And that is for sure, when we install RDS role as of this, by default we will get install RDCB, RDSH and RDWA role installed.
Sorry don’t have any option to try to remove that role as that role basically needed for RemoteApp and Desktop purpose. But if you want then you can try it with help of “Remove-RDServer”Powershell command.

Only want to apply adjustment to one layer

When I apply an adjustment levels layer, all layers below are affected. I only want to apply an adjustment to one layer not all of them. How do I do this?
I am using photoshop CS4

To amplify that, an Adjustment layer will affect all layers below it. To restrict the effect to one layer, the adjustment layer must be clipped to the layer below. This can be achieved in CS4 by clicking the icon shown above in the Adjustments panel or Alt-Clicking on the border between the two layers in the layers panel.

Driver only for the HD 4110 webcam...do not install suite in Win 8.1

Dear Readers:
I mistakenly installed the software suite for the 4110 webcam on a win 8.1 pc and the camera cannot deliver a good image. (I think this is due to the fact that the win 8 platform is not supported for this camera, unless in compatibility mode.) The rest of the software programs seem okay, it's just the camera is a mess.
Anyway I plan to install it on a HP win7 desktop but only want the camera working not the suite. I plan to use the cam with Handy AVI and maybe Blue Iris.
Any pointers on finding just the drivers? Should I have windows do a search for them?

Not able to view PDFs onlie with Acrobat 6 insalled

I have Adobe Acrobat 6.0 installed and now whenever I go to view any PDF online I get an error message:
"The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.
Adobe Acrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required. Please exit and try again"
When I click OK (the only option), Acrobat 6.0 is launched and I still am unable to view the online PDF.
I reinstalled Acrobat Reader latest version, but I'm still getting the same error above.
How can I view PDFs from my web browser with Acrobat 6.0 installed?

With version 7 Adobe changed the active x for webviewing.
So you have to decide if you want to take Reader > 6 for Webviewing or Acobat 6 (where the later make not really sence to me).
I think the last installed version will take over, the other produce only error for webviewing and also embedding.

No time to download whole Master Suite trial - only want InDesign trial!

The trial of the full CS6 Master Suite takes too long to download and I only want one part of it: InDesign. How can I just download that trial version?

Thanks for the help However, that's the page I was accessing and it is downloading the full master suite from there, not just InDesign (via Download Assistant). It estimates approx 36 more hours and I cannot afford even half that! There doesn't seem to be any option to choose which elements you wish to download. Any other ideas?

Deactivate only photoshop, not the entire suite

I have CS4 installed with CS5.5 arriving soon. I want to move CS4's photoshop to my other desktop but not the whole suite because I can't move PremierePro (CS5 requires 64bit, both my machines are 32bit). How can I move/deactivate ONLY PS to move to my other PC?

No. You really can't do that. Not easily at any rate. You would have to set them both up to use POP3, but even then there is no way to guarantee that the phone won't poll the server prior to your computer doing so, pulling down the message from the server.
