Only want iPhone to view videos
Is it possible to use an iPhone to view videos and music only. I am using this as a presentation tool. I know there is an iPod Touch but the company I am going through only creates custom paint jobs on the iPhone. I do not need the phone/web capability. Is there a way to use the phone without setting up an service plan with at&t????

After updating my system to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 I can no longer view videos on Facebook or other sites. The only one I can view videos on is youtube. I have downloaded Adobe Flash player and still no luck. I cannot even open Preview on my computer anymore. Any ideas would be helpful thanks
Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
4. In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
Close the window. Then select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane. -
How can I mute my video I import to imovie? I only want music in my video
I'd like to mute the video I import to imovie...how can I do this? I only want the music to be audible - too much of my voice on the video with my kids and think it's distracting!
Double click on the clip to bring up inspector click on audio. Bring clip audio to zero or what ever percent you want to lower it too
Or you can select all clips and click on the blue inspector and you can change all at once. -

The password is set on the WiFi router providing the service, by the owner of the network to prevent unwanted "guests" accessing the network. The only way to know it is to ask the owner permission to use the network. Otherwise, you have to find a free WiFi hotspot that doesn't require a password.

Using Azul media player app on my ipad Apple tv will only display sound but not video from movies. Any ideas on a fix. I set mirroring to on but it still does not display video. It will display photos and video recorded from my iphone.
Here are the steps for AirPlay:
Before starting Azul from your (running iOS 5.x/6.x) home screen where have have all your apps we need to turn on mirroring
On your iPhone 4S/5 or iPad 2 or 3, double-click the Home Button to view your recently-used apps.
Swipe all the way to the right to until you see the icon.
Note: If the icon does not appear, go to the "If AirPlay Mirroring is not visible or available on your mobile iOS device" section.
Tap the icon to see the list of available AirPlay devices.
Enable AirPlay Mirroring in this menu by tapping on an available Apple TV, then sliding the Mirroring slider to ON.
Now you should be seeing your iPad/iPhone on your TV.
Start up Azul now and using the settings icon on the top right corner go to the option that say "TV out" ON.
When you do that you will see an Orange screen
Now click "Done" and play the video you want to watch and it will AirPlay -
I have a MacAir, mid 2011 model, and want to view video on my TV. I see that I need a mini display port to Hdmi but there are many of these. What exatly do I need and how does one go about viewing a movie downloaded to the MacAir on a TV screen?

The best thing to do is download the trial of Lightroom and see if it works for you. The trial is the complete program. The only thing different about the trial is that it expires after thirty days. Your images stay in the folders you already have so there's little risk. Good luck!

I want to sync only SOME videos, not ALL... is there a way to do it ? i tryed to did a "smart folder" with iPhoto, for select last 6 months videos, but when i try to sync to iPhone, it doesn't sync none video, the only way is selecting "incude videos" (but i wont want to, because it will sync ALL videos, i only want some of them)

How do you stop syncing address and calendar to iCloud? I only want to sync from my computer to iPhone. This is because I cannont upgrade to Lion and I do not want to get duplicate contacts when I sync from the computer 10.6.8 to my iPhone iOS5. You should not upgrade to Lion upless you have 4GB of ram. Lion does not support rosita so all your old programs will not funtion and you have to repurchase all old software the is working fine.

I just purchased Time Capsule today. I ONLY want to use it as an external drive. I do not need it for Time Machine. I need to free up room on my computer. As of now, I can't even load updates. I can see the TC in my finder, but when I click on a file or video to drag and drop, I get message that TC can't be modified. Help please!
I agree with Kappy.. passing files and especially via wireless is slow as slow.
Just need to be sure your TC is the new AC model??
And the OS on the computer is Lion?
Have you completed the setup of the TC via the utility? You do still need to get internet via the TC so it has to be plugged into the main router..
Give us the full picture of the network.
Then we can help you get into it.. whether you should put your files on it is another question. -
i have the latest version of free Quicktime, Itunes and unable to view video on my PC all i get is a pink screen the audio is OK i have uninstalled and installed several times same problem, i have a Iphone 4 and unable to view the content.
Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
... and click OK. Quit and restart the QuickTime Player prior to checking to see if the settings change has had any effect. -
I want to make a video clip using two still pictures, placing side by side. I am able to make with only one at a time. Also, I am able to move the picture using Transform. But unsuccessfull in making with two stills in same clip. Thank you for reply.
If you want a Picture in Picture effect, stack one still on top of the other with a connect edit. Use Transform to scale and reposition the top image.
