Only Wifi devices' libraries will show up on Apple TV not hard wired

I have a desktop that is hard wired to my Netgear N600. I also have 2 laptops and an iPad that link up to the router wifi. All of my wifi linked devices' libraries show up on apple TV however my desktop will not and nobody in apple support can figure it out. Does someone have a suggestion. If I contact Netgear they are going to charge me out the wazoo for support.

Ok, I figured it out. What I did is added it to purchased on Apple TV playlist, (it should have been there in the first place), and then I put a check next to it. Bam back on the big screen. I never edited the playlists, so I have no idea how it was removed in the first place, or for that matter, why it even has to be there in order it to sync. I hope this helps someone out in the future. Thanks for the input and the interest.

Go to Settings -> icloud and then you should see your icloud id, scroll to the bottom and select delete account, you are then able to add your new one.

It will show up in Disk Utility but not show up in finder. Ive tried mounting it, verifing it, repairing it. Nothing is working. I dont know what else to do! Please somebody help! I was in the process of backing this up when this happend

I can import my first clip to the video library, but not the second clip. I tried dragging-dropping and using the "E" key, but only the first clip will show up in the library. I use IMovie 9.0.9 and OSX 10.8.5. with no problems until yesterday.

I can drag my first clip from the New Event window into the Project Library, but not the second. I can highlight the second clip in the New Event window, but it won't "drag". The "E" key works for the first clip, but not the second.I've been using IMovie daily and the problem just appeared. No upgrades to the computer and no new software installed. Thanks victoryhat. I learned some new things from this very clear tutorial. But it didn't answer my question about why the titles don't stay with the video when I export it.
He did mention something that might be a clue however. When he talked about importing a title he created as an image, he noted that he was careful to make the image the same size as the video he was adding it to: 1280 x 720. Since I took the video with an iPhone in the vertical position, my video image isn't the same size and orientation as the titles.
Maybe there is a way I should be setting the screen for this size??? I'll go back and play around. Meanwhile thanks for alerting me to Gary Rosenzweig's MacMost tutorials. Very clear. I'll look for more.

ITunes 11.2 help: iphone will not sync to itunes and shows up as "Apple iPhone" not "________'s iPhone"

I just updated to itunes 11.2 yesterday and all of a sudden, I can't sync my phone to my computer anymore (I have a windows 8 laptop). I don't know what happened and I tried to connect with my normal charger first & it didn't work. I used another USB cable that I had, but it didn't work either. I've restarted my computer and iPhone which didn't work either. I also tried repairing iTunes and disabling/enabling it, but that didn't work either. Please help!

I've discovered the following problems:
1) New Calendar entries on my iPhone do not appear to sync to the PC
2) A new calendar under My Calendars is created and named "Home"
3) The new entries as described in number 1 above show up in this new "Home" calendar
4) New Calendar entries created in Outlook 2007 under the "Calendar" calendar sync to the iPhone
5) New Calendar entries created in Outlook 2007 under the "Home" calendar sync to the iPhone
6) New Calendar entries created on the iPhone sync to the Outlook 2007 "Home" calendar
7) If I delete the "Home" calendar in Outlook 2007 and clear the Deleted Items folder to completely remove it, it will be recreated next time I sync to the iPhone (I have to make a new iPhone Calendar entry for this to happen).
My current config:

This appears to have started Thursday night July 10th. That is when I installed iTunes 7.7. I may not have noticed except that I was trying to upgrade to iPhone 2.0 and was getting an error -43 during the backup process. I was informed that the upgrade couldn't backup my iPhone and that all iPhone data would be erased.

Something called, DropDownDeals, has invaded my laptops internet applictions. It does not come up as a virus, however is only on my laptop and shows annoying advertising I do not want. Any ideas on how to get rid of this silly thing?

It is mainly on my Facebook . It loads the normal page first then squishes all normal content to the middle to make room for massive ads, advertising cheap deals with random advertsing websites. I do not know how I got it but I do not want it! Please help!

IPhone 5...wifi is on, but showing 4G

I checked in setting and my wifi is checked that it is on, but I am showing 4G at the top. Any ideas how to fix? Am I using data or am I using wifi?

If you are not seeing the wifi symbol at top of your iPhone screen, you are using cell data.
Do you have wifi router/hotspot where you are at?
Tap Settings > Wifi and it will show local wifi networks.
Tap the one you want to join.

Only Bridge CS 5 will open with PS CS 6

I installed PS CS 6 without first deleting PS CS 5 first. I was told I did not need to. Anyway now only Bridge CS 5 will open with PS CS 6, not Bridge CS 6. Bridge CS 6 is loaded. I can access Bridge CS 6 through the Mini Bridge which doesn't work well for me. I need the full Bridge CS 6 to open, not Bridge CS 5. Can anyone help ?

Both programs are seperate so no need to delete previous version.
You probably have Bridge CS5 running in the background. Only one version can be running.
Open task manager and in processes look for Bridge.exe and close.
You might have Bridge CS5 set to open at login so you should change this in advanced preferences.

2. gen iPod nano sometimes shows up in Finder, but not in iTunes

Hi!
My brand new 8GB iPod nano that I got for christmas sometimes seems to have problems connecting to iTunes. Every now and then (perhaps 1/4 of the time?) it will show up in Finder, but not in iTunes (I haven't enabled "disk mode" yet, so when it shows up in iTunes, it is not visible in Finder). Also, on one or two occasions, it showed up in iTunes, but wasn't recognized.
Whenever this happens, I just eject the iPod from Finder and disconnect it, and on the second try (on one occasion - third try) it will show up in Finder.
What could this be? Bad connectors/cable - or iTunes just not very reliable?

These problems return every now and then.
In addition, if the iPod is connected, is shown in iTunes and has already synced properly, it will sometimes reset if I try an additional manual sync from the File menu. It's a rather benign error, since it will connect and sync as soon as the iPod has restarted.
I also had one freeze of the iPod while playing.
This is my first iPod, and I'm used to computers that run for months or years without a reboot. Is it just normal for an iPod to freeze/reset every now and then? My Nokia phone does it too, but then I expect more from Apple...

Setting up wifi for ipad with an existing hard wired network

Got my aged mother in law an ipad so her bad eyes could read ebooks. Only way she can download new books is with a wifi connection. Trouble is, at her house My aged father in law had a hard wired dsl connection to the internet with Windows PCs. Can I install a wifi network in her house and still leave the existing hard wired network (all commputers connected via cat5) intact? I only need the wifi connection for the ipad. That said; what do I need to make this happen besides a wireless router. Ive heard the Airport Extreme gets good reviews. I only have pc experience and have a linksys router at my own house for my wifi network. So please...can the wifi ipad connection and hard wired dsl connection peacefully coexist and if so how do I go about setting it up? Thanks much!

I have an iMac I want to keep its wired connection, and the iPad to run off wi-fi. Sounds like the Airport Extreme is the way to go, but I only say that because it's an Apple product.
What would be the advantage/disadvantage with going with something like DLink or Linksys? Or as long as I buy something with the 10/100 802.11b/g support, should I be okay.

Getting connected to a mifi the first time was goofy for me as well. The message you are getting means you have not satisfied the security on the my yet.
On mine, when I set it up, I had to declare a password. But it never recognized that password for connecting devices. Turns out the password was only used for changing system settings. When connecting a device what it really wanted was the device code, similar to a router key- not your password. So look through the paperwork and find the key, and try that.

If the device is found, nobody can use it without knowing your Apple ID and password.
The phone will only show it's location if it is connected to cellular network or Wi-Fi. If those options are switched off, you can't locate the phone.

I replaced an old airport extreme with a new one. None of my wifi devices will connect - always say incorrect password. Reinstalled old device, works fine. Any ideas?

I have a 5 year old airport extreme. I bought a new one to upgrade for better range. I connected the new one to the internet with a few problems, but a phone call to my internet provider resolved them. With an ethernet cable from the new airport extreme to my iMac, I'm connected. However, none of my wifi devices will connect. They see the network, but it either says "incorrect password" if I'm trying a new network name and password, or it repeatedly asks me to reenter the password if I use the old ones. I reinstalled my old airport extreme and everything works fine. I'm about ready to box up the new one and return it. Any ideas?

It is extremely difficult to fix these issues.. remotely.
If none of your wifi devices work.. that does sound unusual..
Have another try.. This time deal with the COMPUTER only.. leave everything else turned off.
Unplug the Extreme from the router.. reset it to factory.. do this full setup.
Unplug power from the Extreme.. hold in the reset button.. plug in the extreme to power and keep holding in the reset.. 10sec or so the front led should flash rapidly.. release the reset and wait a couple of min.
Now in the computer does the Airport extreme show up under wifi as new device??
Please make sure IPv6 is set to link local only to go further but it should work no matter what the settings are.
No luck clear out all the old wireless names from the computer.. reboot the computer and try again to scan for new wireless devices.
Hold the reset and try again.. it must appear in the wifi to be setup.
No sign of it the unit is faulty and can be returned.

I only figured out I had a problem when my partner did the exact same set up and it showed up as only 1 device connected. I have changed the password and turned it off/on and etc. the really weird thing is now when my ipad is turned off and I turn my iphone personal hotspot on it shows up with 1 connection (when I don't have anything connected) for about 5 secs and then goes off and then 1 device connected for about 5 secs and then back off. This just keeps going on and off. What is going on. Could my phone have a bug or be hacked. Please help as it is kinda freaking me out. Thanks.

This may occur if your iPhone is connected to your computer via USB, as it will automatically share the connection via USB.
