Only wireless B mode works properly?

Okay, so I have an iPhone 5 and the Wifi speeds are ridiculously slow, unless I set my router to wireless b mode only.
I wouldn't even bother with that, if it weren't for the fact that wireless b only supports a max speed of 11Mbps.
So, I really need to figure out a way to make it work with g, or (ideally) mixed networks, any ideas?

See if there is a firmware update available for it on their support site. If not, reset the router by pulling the power to it, waiting a minute then plugging it back in.

Well, as the subject says, my keyboard is not working properly after I updated the firmware. The problem is that several keys (delete, down arrow, brackets and apostrophe) stopped working right after I installed the update. I never dropped it or hit it. And I did not stop or interrupt or did anything during the install. I take very good care of it.
I have already tried toubleshooting with the support page, restarting the iMac, taking off the batteries, setting it up with bluetooth again, going back a week with time machine and to reinstall the firmware. So, if you have something new for me to try, I will really apreciate it.

I have 24" iMac with the Apple wireless M&KB - I know this is basic but have you tried a fresh set of batteries? My KB will refuse to establish connection when batteries are on the weak side the firmware update may just be a co incidents. If your wireless mouse is working OK then I would guess the blue tooth is functioning.
Not sure about the 10.49 download - are your other file downloads completing properly? Are there any error messages?

IOS6: Beats Wireless Does Not Work Properly With Bluetooth

Half year ago, I spent 400 USD of my hard-earned money on a Beats Wireless headset (v2).... LOVE that headset... great sound when playing music and very good sound quality too when talking on the phone (iPhone 4S).
However, since "upgrading" to iOS 6, my Beats Wireless headset keeps on stopping when I play music (or skips parts of the music)... it is ANNOYING to say the least!
It's my understanding that it's a known problem, but WHY does Apple not DO anything about it??? The issue has been there for a long time now, and people who use Bluetooth in their cars have reported issues with using Bluetooth, too! Apple actually puts the lives of those drivers in danger by not fixing the problem!!
WAKE UP, APPLE!!!

I concur. I have the same problem with my Wireless Beats and my iPhone5. Skipping and disconnecting mid song. I'm hoping this will get fixed with the next update. Funny thing is, my other bluetooth devices, jaybird, LG soundbar work fine... I don't know who to point the finger at because it worked fine prior to upgrading my iPhone4 w/ iOS6.

Read-only bind mounts not working properly

I discovered a strange behavior regarding mount --bind on my system. In the past I could create read-only bind mounts using first a mount --bind /source /dest and after that mount -o remount,ro /dest. But since some kernel update (not sure which) this procedure results in the complete filesystem of the source being remounted read-only, not only the /dest mountpoint. I also saw that bind-mounts are not shown as such in the outbput of mount:
the mountpoint was created using
mount --bind /mnt/data/Backup/vserver/Daten /mnt/data/homes/vserver/Daten
and results in the following output of mount:
/dev/mapper/data on /mnt/data/homes/vserver/Daten type ext4 (rw,noatime,nodiratime,user_xattr,acl,barrier=1,stripe=64,data=ordered)
so its reported as if i mounted the parent fs (/dev/mapper/data on /mnt/data) to the directory.
Does anyone know what caused this behavior, and how to get read-only bind-mounts back to a working condition?

Here I can reproduce your problem but the "alternative" way seems to work fine.
That's not the alternative way, that's the only way. Though, you don't need to specify both the source and dest on the remount -- just the dest.

Wireless printing not working properly on HP officejet 4500

I have recently bought the OfficeJet 4500 wireless printer.
Now I have a problem when printing a document from wireless connection. When I send a document to be printed from wireless network, it does not transfer completely, and the document can’t be printed completely. This accurse when sending small files (128 KB) and a bit larger (1,14 MB) files.
When printing the same document when connected to the printer with the usb cable, the document will print correctly.
I have followed the steps of wizard for wireless set up, and when I printed the confirmation page, all was set correctly.
The router I’m using is a Linksys WRT45GL. The IPs are set by dhcp and I don’t have a MAC filter active.
Can you help me with my problem?

Does anybody have an idea where to start looking at least? Where could be the problem?

Scanning from 5520 to iPad in wireless direct mode ?

I have a Photosmart 5520 printer and a 3G iPad - without any other computer equipment or WiFi network or
router in the house. The printing from the iPad to the 5520 in the Wireless direct mode works well.
My question is if I can scan from the 5520 to the iPad ? Have looked in the HP ePrint app for directions
or control buttons but can't find any. Is scanning from 5520 to iPad possible ? Selecting "scan to computer"
on the 5520 control panel does not work.

Hello Johan,
The HP ePrint app is a different app than the one I have mentioned above.
The HP Printer Control mobile app is a different one which also allow scanning.
simply open the Apple App Store, search for HP Printer Control and install it.
Through that app you will also be able to scan.

Anchor links to accordion panels not working properly across browsers

Hi everyone,
I need some help to figure out why my anchor links to specific accordion panels on another page are not working properly across browsers.
I have a Map page which has tooltips on mouseover on the site markers. 15 of the tooltips have "Click here for information" anchor links (although only 14 are currently linked) which, in theory, would take you to the Nurseries page where the specified accordion panel would be opened with the nursery entry appearing at the top of the new browser window.

I've tested the anchor links on IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari, and have received varying results. In most cases, the anchor links worked perfectly on two of the browsers, while on the other browsers, the correct accordion panel is opened but the nursery entry does not appear at the top of the new browser window. Anchor links using Safari and Google Chrome fared better (10 out of 14 links worked properly, and 8/14, respectively), whereas when using Firefox and IE, only 3 anchor links worked properly. The target audience for this website will be using IE and Firefox, so I would appreciate any help to figure out how to tweak the code so that the most, if not all, anchor links work properly on these two browsers in particular.
Here's an anchor link which worked perfectly in IE, GC, and Safari, but in FF, the entry did not appear at the top of the new browser window.

Satellite L40 - Sleed and stand-by does not work properly

I have a Satellite L40 notebook and it worked properly until now. I turn it on and after that I put it on the sleep mode (stand-by mode); when I want to use my system, so to get it back to the normal mode (I press the turn on/off button to get out of the sleep mode), the Windows Vista 32-bit restarts - it doesn't get back to the moment that I left it before the sleep mode.
Therefore, Windows Vista 32-bit restarts and the "Windows has been turned off incorrectly" screen appears instead of returning to the system configuration that I left it before the sleep/stand-by mode.
What can I do to fix this problem and make the sleep mode work properly?

In your case I would make a BIOS update. You can search for updates on the Toshiba website

You should also look in the power mangment. There you configure what happened when you close the display, press the power button and so far.

Will Logitech Wireless keyboard/mouse work in lid closed mode?

I know you are supposed to plug in a USB keyboard and mouse to get the MacBook to work in lid closed mode.
Is it a strict requirement to be USB wired? Or will the Logitech wireless desktop be sufficient (with radio dongle plugged into USB)?

I honestly do not have a lot of confidence in this working.
Unless you can find someone who's done it or somehow get an answer from Logitech (good luck with that one) I don't know how you're gonna find out, short of buying the combo and returning it if it doesn't work.
Applecare is willing to help things work properly when they should, but something like this isn't gonna get you any response or help over the phone other then a reference back to these forums or to Logitech/google.
Hope you find an answer, but all i know is that if it says USB...then there must be a reason. Doesn't mean nothing else will work though, but might not be the easiest thing to get an "in advance" response on.

Well, during debugging an implicit COMMIT WORK is executed on a regular basis. This might cause the ITEM GUID to be created during debugging.
However, normally, after CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN, you should use the CRM_ORDER_SAVE as well. This will return a list of SAVED_OBJECTS. If all objects were saved correctly, do an explicit COMMIT WORK.
Works fine for us.....

Wireless @ Boot-up, Ndiswrapper, BCM4318, Worked properly before

The title pretty much explains err... all of it.
I am using Arch64, my wireless network has ALWAYS worked at boot. Now it just hangs there, I've changed WIRELESS_TIMEOUT to 100, I sat there being bored (no effect).
I am using the newest ndiswrapper and I am connecting using ifconfig/iwlist/iwconfig.
I have no idea why it has stopped working properly!

Port forwarding and DMZ refuses to work properly on WRT54G wireless router.

I have a network setup on the wireless WRT54G version 8 (with latest firmware) router and port forwarding and DMZ refuse to work correctly. I'm trying to use bittorrent and connect my xbox360 to my computer and neither work properly even after setting up port forwarding in the "Applications and Gaming" tab.

On a different linksys router a year or 2 back I remember the DMZ never working on that one either and I eventually had to buy a d-link router which worked perfectly. I'm only using this wireless router because it's my roommates and he brought it up. Somebody please explain to me why this isn't working correctly. I am becoming more and more frustrated as I lose faith in linksys routers. Thanks

Also after upgrade reset & reconfigure the router for few seconds ... so that the firmware works properly for longer time ....

I'm afraid you'll have to get the phone serviced, dropping the phone must have damaged additional parts inside the phone.
But Apple will not service the phone anymore, opening the phone and replacing the battery should only be done by authorized personal, not by users.
You'll have to look for a 3rd party repair shop and see if they can fix this, sorry.

If after you charge it for about three hours and it only last about five minutes the battery is probably dead or there could be another hardware problem. I would go back to the Apple store and ask them specifically how can it be OK if the fully charged battery only lasts five minutes.
