ONS 15454: 1 node got LOS alarm, the other does not?
Hello everyone,
I've got a problem with my ONS system. As you can see in the figure, the first one is CTC view of Node1 and the second one is Node2.
In LINEAR model, side B of Node1 connect to side A of Node2. But take a look at them, side B of Node1 is working normally, no alarm. But side A of node 2 is RED with Los of signal alarm.
My traffic is still working good between 2 Node. It is so strange, I have never been experienced the error like this before. Please tell me what this situation is? Thank you very much.

Most likely you have an asymmetrical fiber loss (verify WDM span check on both nodes) or the power failure low thresholds are tuned differently on the OSC-SCM cards.
There are no amplifiers on that link, hence, LOS is informative message indicating the threshold is exceeded, but apparently, that power level is still good enough for the muxponder to work.
Having an amplifier would bring the connection down as on LOS amplifiers are shut down due to security requirements.

I have had MyWebSearch install itself as my primary browser....I have needed to reset Firefox in safe mode but I am not sure that the changes have actually been done! In Options in the Options menu the window displays all the add on's and features that are on Firefox....I have two zipped folders here One allows me to see inside the other does not. How do I access this one that does not give me the option to as I want to know what is inside...as this "MyWebSearch has been an enormous hassle...and needless to say has compromised my PC and the security of all of my passwords.....I want to be sure that the resetting the browser default has actually worked and that MyWebSearch is gone!

One email account sends and receives emails, the other does not
I have two different email accounts set up on my phone. They both worked, until I had my phone was serviced and wiped clean. Now one account sends and receives and the other does not. I have tried everything from deleting the account on the phone and rebooting, to changing my password. When I reactivate the account I get a message saying "activation server" and that messages will be forwarded within 20 minutes and they never come. I'm not sure what else to try.

Can a replica node have secondary indexes the master does not?
In a JE replication group, is it possible to instantiate a replica (non-master) node that includes additional secondary indices that the master and the other replicas do not have? I would like to have this replica node optimized for performing fast searches on the additional indexes. Previously, all my nodes have had the exact same schema with only a single, primary index. Certainly I could add the secondary indexes on all the nodes, including the master, but the other nodes won't benefit from the add'l indexes as no such searches are expected to be performed on those nodes.

No, this is not currently supported. Secondaries must be created on the master as usual and will be replicated to all nodes. However, if secondaries are read frequently on a particular node, they are more likely to stay in cache on that node, or at least more so than on other nodes. So it still may be beneficial to service read requests for secondaries on a subset of nodes. This is a special case of the more general approach where read requests are balanced among nodes according to some form of data partitioning.
The ability to store secondary indexes only on particular nodes would require several new features and is not currently planned:
- ability to have non-replicated databases in a replicated environment
- triggers on the replica so that secondaries can be maintained
- automatic re-creation of indexes when a node is restored from scratch

I bought a 5th Gen Touch. I use iTunes 12 on my two computers. I first connected the Touch to my desktop and it allows me to drag and drop mp3 files from my old Classic, which is backed up to a directory. Unfortunately, that computer has gone down before I got a chance to fill the Touch. I have the files on another computer but when I connect the Touch to it, it doesn't allow me to drag and drop the files. I have iCloud set on both systems and I have manual management check marked. I'm not understanding why it allows drag and drop on one PC and not the other when they are both set the same way. My question? What do I need to do to be able to drag and drop in iTunes 12? I didn't do anything special on the computer that allows it so I am at a loss.

Why does one CSS min-width work and the other does not?
In order to deal with different browser/screen widths, I put a min-width on both the light-colored box that contains the images and article text on my Web pages and also on the text itself. When I test this in Firefox, IE8 and Chrome, only the container box shrinks. The article text area width does not narrow when I shrink the browser window. Any tips?

Two Pearl 8120s. both running os 4.5 - One recieves HTML emails, the other does not
I have two 8120s on Tmobile, both running os 4.5.0.44. One receives HTML perfectly, but not on my tmo.blackberry.net account, only from my POP mail account. The other one will not receive email on either account (TMO or POP).
I have tried sending it service books many times. The email options settings are set to "Enable HTML Email" for all accounts.
Does anyone have any advice?

2 ipad2's. One prints to wireless printer, the other does not

Three words.
You are doomed.
Whatever you end up doing will not be serialization. It will be reverse engineering of a old (dead) format that could go all pear shaped on you when you least expect it. One of the worst problems in using a solution where you reverse engineer, try and guess hackery your way through a proprietary semi (or totally) undocumented format is that it is really impossible to test your code with any degree of certainty. Does your code actually work? Or does it only work because you haven't seen some totally unexpected (but legal for the format) format yet?
Get the producer to produce XML instead of "serialized" data. This is a much better route for you to go down.
If you decide to keep on your path then grab a DataInputStream and go somewhere else because you'll have to figure out the format of another languages serialized data on a place that isn't this site. -

You might try to see if you can change your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > Password and Security.
I'm able to do this, others say they need to input answers to their current security questions in order to make changes, I'm inclined to think its worth a try, you don't have anything to lose.
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through Express Lane (select your country, navigate to iCloud help and enter the serial number of one of your devices) -

Generally there is a file list with a hotfix/patch that gives you the version number of the affected files. You can go through those files to see that you have the latest files. The problem is finding the actual patch that updated those files.
Without going through lots of patches, it is hard to find which patch made the hotfix obsolete.

I got iPhoto '11, version 9.2.3 and want to edit photos using Photoshop elements 10. I have put P'shop 10 as the preferred editor... but when I click on the photo in iPhoto the Adobe p'shop 10 program opens BUT the picture does not open for editing. What the heck... I did fine with the old iPhoto and "Shop elements 6... .

You would have to download and install the FREE Adobe DNG Converter version 8.5 and then convert your RAW to DNG, and then import the DNGs into Lightroom 4
You could also purchase Lightroom 5.5, which will have the capability to read the RAWs directly.
