It works for me on 10g but the only pitfall is the " * ", the workaround is to use the " & " in the label next to the key you want.
for example:
Button*   label &*
Button-   label   &-
Button/   label   &/
Button+   label   &+
Button.   label   &.Try it

  • How can I use my iPhone 4 as a numeric keypad for my ipad?

I am a teacher that uses my ipad for entering and keeping tracks of grades.  The one thing that would make this perfect, is if I could use my iPhone as a numeric keypad.  I have found many ways to use the iPhone/ipad as a keypad with a PC but not ipad.  There must be a way.....they sync/talk to each other all the time.  HOW?

I read it and I do have a hot spot I use it for my laptops inter net but I want to know if I can by use of my phones USB  connection use it as a dongle. My laptop doesn't have the bluetooth hardware I need to update the software in my cars hands free kit it's downloaded in my PC but no way to install without bluetooth.  What I'm trying to do is .

  • Using Numeric Keypad In Oracle Forms 6i

    Dear All,
I am facing some problems when I am Working with Numeric Keypad on Oracle Forms 6i.
I have 10 Buttons and In Every Button Property I have defined the "Access Key".
    e.g
    Buttons | Property   | Value
    Button1 | Access Key | "1"
    Button2 | Access Key | "2"
    Button3 | Access Key | "3"
    Button4 | Access Key | "4"
    Button5 | Access Key | "5"
    Button6 | Access Key | "6"
    Button7 | Access Key | "7"
    Button8 | Access Key | "8"
    Button9 | Access Key | "9"
Button0 | Access Key | "0"Example : When I will Press Only "1" Using Numeric Keypad, Message Window will appear with the Message "You have Pressed 1..."
All Buttons are functioning Properly when I Pressing (One Key Stroke) 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 using Numeric KeyPad.
    But I am not able to apply this Technique on "*" , "/" , "-" , "+" , "." , "Num Lock".
How Can I utilize these Characters(*,-,+,/,NumLock) in my application to perform a certain task using Single Key Stroke through Buttons or any other way in Oracle Forms 6i.
Note : We don't want to give Keyboard / Mouse to User. We have given a Numeric KeyPad to the User for a Certain Task.
    Thanks in Advance

  • Using new wired keyboard (w/o numeric keypad) with Windows Vista

I have a 2008 Mac Pro and a Windows PC. They share the same monitor, keyboard and mouse via a KVM switch (I use the Belkin Flip DVI-D KVM Switch, model F1DG102D). My keyboard is the Apple wired keyboard with numeric keypad, which works fine with my Windows Vista PC, even with no Apple-specific Windows driver installed. My keyboard tray is pretty small, so I would like to get the new Apple wired keyboard which doesn't have a numeric keypad. I don't need the numeric keypad anyway. However, I will miss the home, end, page up, page down, and forward delete buttons. The Mac Pro has a way of simulating these keys. However, the key combinations to simulate these keys don't work in Windows Vista. My question is: how do I simulate these keys from Windows Vista? My guess is that possible options are:
    1. Use some Vista keyboard mapping software. If so, any idea what might work?
    OR
    2. Use Apple's keyboard driver for Windows Vista (32-bit). The keyboard comes with boot camp, but I don't use boot camp (since I have a separate Windows PC). How do I go about getting a standalone Apple keyboard driver without having to install boot camp?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi randman.
I have a similar problem but it seems there is no solution. The new wired keyboard is not event working properly with BOOTCAMP. Vista doesn't recognize the keyboard as Apple keyboard and even forcing the device manager to use the Apple keyboard driver is not working.

  • Odd result using numeric keypad in vi

    Oracle Linux 5.6, x86-64
This may not be considered a Linux question, per se, but is close enough I'd expect someone here knows the answer.
When I am editing a file in vi, if I use the numeric keypad to enter numbers, instead of the number, I get a letter followed by a line feed.
Input of numeric keypad follows. I will be hitting, in sequence, 1, 2, 3, 4:
    t
    s
    r
    q
Actually, the 'q' was the result of pressing '1'.  Each successive number generated a line feed (pushing the previous entry down), followed by the letter you see.  To clarify
Input of numeric keypad follows. I will be hitting, in sequence, 1, 2, 3, 4:
t   < pressing '4' on the keypad, the 's' was pushed down and this 't' was entered.
s   < pressing '3' on the keypad, the 'r' was pushed down and this 's' was entered.
r   < pressing '2' on the keypad, the 'q' was pushed down and this 'r' was entered.
q   < after typing the opening line and 'enter' , I pressed '1' on the keypad, and got this 'q'
Using the numbers on the top row (above 'qwerty') behaves as one would expect. It's only when I try to use the numeric keypad do I get the above.

Linux supports hundreds of keyboard layouts; you must identify yours with a line similar to:
    $ export TERM=vt100
    $ reset
or whatever type terminal or emulator you are using.
So, er, did you have NUMLOCK on?

Hi guys, I have a user who's num-lock toggles between on and off with every key stroke when typing on her external numeric keypad.  We have switched out her pad 3 times and made sure the keypads worked in the Dells we have at other stations.  Any idea why this maybe happening?

  • Use numeric keypad in older "full" Apple keyboard under Bootcamp

I have a mid 2009  iMac running the  BootCamp version 3.2 and Windows 7 Service Pack 1. It uses a plastic "full" keyboard with numeric keypad (s with the slight tilt and italicized letters on the keys).
I would like to use the numeric keypad, but cannot find a modifier key that corresponds to Alt--NumLock in Windows. Any way to do this or do I need to plug in a PC  keyboard when  booted up in Windows on  BootCamp?

    Hi,
have you tried the 'clear'-key yet ?
It's the one directly above the '7'-key in the numeric keypad area.
    Has always worked for me...

  • Using calculator application without numeric keypad?

    Hello,
I have a little but very frustrating problem. I was bought a new MacBook in the last week to replace my old PowerBook 12". Everything is fine, I like the new machine but the numeric keypad is missing. This isn't a catastrophic problem, but I can't use the calculator application only using the keyboard! Why? In the calculator application doesn't support the multiplying key (AltShift,) if you are using Hungarian keyboard layout. Any other function is working fine (add, sub, div). With the numeric keypad we can handle this problem, but without it: no!
So anyone can help me how I can solve this problem?
    Best regards,
    Peter

I'm not used to Hungarian keyboards but am I right that the multiplying key is the one with the 'Ú' (just googled it)?
Then you should try to access it with ALT+Ú ... NO shift.
Maybe this could work. Just give it a try =)
    Edit:
Hm or it could be the '-' key...
But I found something interesting on the net:
    http://blog.felho.hu/hungarian-unicode-qwerty-keyboard-layout.html
It's an apple keyboard there =)

  • Using Enter key from numeric keypad to enter and switch to next element in an array control

    Hello all,
I have a question regarding a simple but annoying problem, of which I did not found a solution yet.
I have written an application in which I have to enter data manually in a numeric array control.
If I want to enter the value and go to the next element in the array control, i am forced to use the Tab key on my keyboard, or risk RSI using the mouse.
How can I assign the Enter key of the numeric keypad section of my keyboard to to the same as the Tab key?
    Kind regards,
    Raymond

  • Display flashes white when I hit 0 on numeric keypad...why?

    Using Logic Pro 9...
When I hit the 0 (zero) key on the numeric keypad as a transport control alternative, the entire display flashes white, and Logic does not respond as it should when 0 is pressed.
I thought maybe this was an accessibility option, but in "System Preferences > Universal Access > Hearing" I see that "Flash the screen when an alert sound occurs" is not checked.
Also, hitting the other number keys causes the Logic window to get hidden for a brief moment.
    Any ideas?
    -Allan

Being a new Logic user, it's a pleasure to be able to help someone here!
In 9.0.1 Apple changed the behavior of unmapped keyboard commands. In 9.0 you'd hear the Apple 'donk' sound when you hit an unmapped key; in the latest version you now get a flashing screen.
As for your other question, it's because those keys are assigned to changing Screensets. You might want to Google that one - one of Logic's nifty workflow features.

  • Numeric keypad no longer works with 10.9

Since updating to OS 10.9 I no longer have any input from the numeric keypad on any extended keyboard.  Using those number keys produces no input.

This is not a solution at all, but a test.
Since you are under snow and you don't want to go back I suppose...
Download the leaked beta version of Blackberry Desktop Manager for Mac (see crackberry.com).
Just test the connection (do nothing else).
If the connection works (your pin is retrieved by the soft) you have a question on your desk : going back to Leopard or waiting for a maybe upgrade of the DM that today sync only with iCal and not with Entourage.

    Hi,
what Apple keyboard do you use ?
Usually the Num-Lock function is enabled using the 'Clear'-key (directly above the '7'-key on the numpad).

  • Compaq cq60-418dx Numerical keypad not working

Ok I a friend gave me their laptop after they dropped it and broke the screen. I removed the screen and hooked it up to my LCD monitor and everything was going fine until I upgraded from Vista to WIndows 7 (legitimate version). Now my numerical keypad don't work. Which isn't that big of a deal since the numbers are elsewhere on the keyboard but I want the volume keys and I play online game where I input numbers a lot and would love to have it working again. Any help would be appreciative.
PS, If you know how to turn the touchpad off that would be awesome. I have a USB mouse that I am using and am very tired of my thumb hitting the touchpad while hitting spacebar and stopping my typing.

Have you installed the Win 7 Keyboard drivers, HP Quick Launch? If you did an Upgrade install of 7 you probably still have older version installed. Uninstall it first.

  • Numeric keypad not working

The numeric keypad no longer functions with my Apple keyboard when trying to input numbers with Excel or AppleWorks. It has functioned in the past. The screen just freezes. Not sure what might have caused the change. Trying a different known working keyboard with keypad does not work either.
Would doing a SMU reset help?
    Any suggestions?
Disk Utilities corrected permissions but the problem persists.

Thanks for the hint, I found the following:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh1714.html
    My numeric keypad doesn't work
The way the numeric keypad works depends on your computer, the keyboard you're using, the application you're working in, and whether the Num Lock key is engaged. Usually, the numeric keypad is used to enter numbers in a document, but in some applications you might be able to use the keypad to navigate (move around in) your document.
Press the Num Lock key to switch between the ways the numeric keypad functions.
