OO: translation of explanatory texts for methods and parameters

Hi multilanguage community,
in class builder, we can give explanatory texts for methods, parameters, attributes and so on.
When I GOTO TRANSLATION, only text elements are given for translation.
How to translate the rest?

sorry, we have SAP ECC 6.0 SE63 Menu path Tramslation -> ABAP Objects -> Short text. A popup comes up for selection:
Object Type Selection
    A1 Application Texts
    KP Knowledge Provider
    OT OTR
    S1 Partial Delivery 1
    S2 Partial Delivery 2
    S3 ABAP Texts
    S4 Repository Texts
    S5 Other Interface Texts
    S6 Technical Short Texts

    S8 HR Texts

                         U an create an include text node in your smartform.And terms and conditions is the header level text,so i suppose you have to give the inputs as follows :
Text Name         &**-EBELN&
Text Object       EKKO
Text ID              xxxx
Language          &**-SPRAS&
is the data at your end .To simplify more follow the following.
1> go to your purchase order from me23n
2> open any purchase order and click on the terms and conditions text.
3> go to GOTO option of the text.and click on the HEADER.
4> U will find the attributes of the text which you will have to pass to the Include text in your smartforms.
The long texts arestored in STXH table.

Where do I find the long text for Damage and Cause in Notifications (IW21)

Can I retrieve it through FM READ_TEXT? If yes, what are the values of the parameters to be passed?

Hi!
It is easy to check whether some text is read by "READ_TEXT" or not.
1) Create text in dialogue mode and save it.
2) Place brake-point in READ_TEXT FM
3) go to view this text in transaction again
If the program is switched to debug mode, it means u can use this FM. Have u tried do this stuff?

A question on methods and parameters.

Hey guys, it's my first time posting here. I'm very new to Java, and did a bit of C++ prior to Java. I had a question on methods and parameters. I don't quite understand methods; I know that they can be repeated when called, but thats almost about it. I also know that a program must have one class that holds the main method. What I truly, truly don't understand about methods is what parameters are. I know they go in the parentheses, and that's it. Could you please explain what they are? I truly appreciate it. Taking an example :
Suppose you are calculating area of rectangle you need two inputs one is length and breadth.Area = l X b where l = length, b = breadth
So your method, say, calculateAreaOfRectangle(int length, int breadth) will have two input parameters as arguments.
System.out.println("Area of rectangle:"+calculateAreaOfRectangle(40,30);
public int calculateAreaOfRectangle(int length, int breadth) {
int Area;
Area = length * breadth;
return Area;
So if you call this method then the output will be returned as 120.
Parameters of a method are just the input variables needed for the method to process for any calculations or anything useful.
And we cant have methods inside main method in Java. It is against the java syntax and if you do, it will throw a syntax error.

Text for block and select option on the selection screen of Logical Databas

I have copied a standard program (RFBELJ10) which is making use of LDB (BRF) and created a custom program. Now, the requirement is to add a selection screen option to the custom report and do some validation on the data extracted. I have added the select option and provided a text (lets say "Segment") to it using menu path Goto --> Text Elements --> Selection Texts and activated. But this text is not displayed on the screen when i execute the report. It is showing the string which i used while defining the select option.
Also i need to provide a frame and title to it. but its not displayed.
i have written the following code for that:
SELECTION-SCREEN: BEGIN OF BLOCK seg WITH FRAME TITLE text-h01. " Segment
SELECT-OPTIONS: s_segmnt FOR faglflexa-segment. " Segment
SELECTION-SCREEN: END OF BLOCK seg.
Could you please help me in getting the texts displayed for fram and the select option?

Solved the problem. I have maintained the text in German. So, when I execute the report in english, it is not displaying the text. I have translated the texts to English and is working fine now.

Having custom text for 'Actual' and 'Target' in Funne chart

Hi,
We see 'Actual' and 'Target' label values in funnel chart when we hover the mouse on the chart.
But i need to change the text to custom text for SINGLE graph. I dont want to chnage any xml or config files, I need this change in single report only.

You have to Customize the viewmessages.xml file. The original file path for English Language is
oraclebi\web\msgdb\l_en\messages\viewmessages.xml.
and The entries for back and return are

How to print artwork/text for CDs and CD case

I’m posting this in both iTunes and GarageBand, since I’m not sure which is more appropriate.
I want to create sleeves, or jackets, or whatever they’re called for my CD cases. Does anyone know of a good program and materials that would work for this?
I want it to be capable of doing the following:
1) import artwork, and/or a photo, and print it on the front cover;
2) be able to incorporate printed text on, or over, that;
3) be able to include text for the inside of the cover (maybe a small photo or two, or artwork, on that inside cover (to list tunes and instruments played, for example);
4) include compatibility to print on round paper that would adhere to the CD itself...along with some kind of little “thing” that would facilitate placing that, with some kind of adhesive I guess, onto the CD;
5) and, be compatible with OSX 10.3.9 (Panther).
Your advice, suggestions, deeply appreciated.

To print the Jewel case for the CD in iTunes:
1. Create and name the playlist you want for the CD
2. File > Print
3. Select the "CD Jewel Case Insert" button on the top of the window
4. Select the style of CD Jewel Case insert you want from the pop-up list in the bottom of the window and read the description of the style and look at the picture of the style to understand what you'll get.
To print onto the CD itself, you have three choices:
1. The old fashioned round sticky label. There used to be many versions of this software available from many company's complete with software and labels for about $10-$20. These are great for making nice labels, but as mentioned in another post, can throw off the balance of the CD in the player and can in some instances make the CD unplayable. As a result, they're not as readily available nowadays. Try Office Depot or Office Max.
2. Buy a burner that prints directly onto the CD. As mentioned, this can be expensive.
3. Buy a printer which has the "print directly onto CD" option included. This is a little pricer than the average printer, but printers are pretty cheap nowadays so that's not all that bad.

When I ran CT method for consolidation unit , system will pickup values from ECMCT and TF620 , TF630( investments + equity) tables but at the same time i get in CT method details as additional step

Thanks for your response. but long time ago i used the oracle translation builder and i translated boilerplate texts and almost everything. I thought that since Forms are object oriented it is possible to read and scan all its objects and the developers of the translation builder should have used it this way. if you or any one have further information please respond and thanks in advance

Failure Text for Darg and Drop

I have programmed a drag and drop option in the Captivate 6.1 version. It works perfectly. But now, I want to have a failure text display for the wrong attempts. I have selected the 'Failure Caption' under the ACTION properties. But still the failure caption is not displayed for wrong clicks.
Is there a way or other settings to make this display?

Here's the scenario: The user is trying to complete a software simulation. In the simulation, the user needs to drag and drop an object to a particular place. When the user correctly drags and drops the object, the simulation will progress to the next slide.
In order to create this functionality, would I have to create an "incorrect" drop zone for all the areas of the screen outside the "correct" place?
To further clarify,
Here's what we've done to simulate this...
Create an image of the component and set it to be the drag source.
Create a four highlight boxes, set to be drop targets.
One highlight box is set to accept the drag source and to take no action when the drag source reaches the drop target.
The other three highlight boxes are set to not accept any objects and to show a "failure caption box" when an object is dropped there.
The Correct Answer is set for the drag source to reach the correct drop target.
The Action for this drag and drop interaction is
On Success: Go to the next slide.
On Failure: Continue (have also tried go to previous slide)
Attempts are set to 3.
Auto Submit Correct Answers has been tested both selected and deselected.
These are the issues we are seeing...
The user cannot fail the interaction. If the user places the drop source in an incorrect drop target, the user receives a failure notice. If the user does this three times, the simulation should progress through the rest of the screen (or to the previous slide, depending on the failure programming). It does not. The user can "fail" the drag and drop interaction as many times as they want and nothing will happen.
The three "extra" highlight boxes are a workaround we are trying to get the failure message to appear when the user drops the drag source in a space not the desired drop target. Ideally one could set the "Action" to...
On Success: Go to the next slide.
On Failure: Continue
Attempts: 3
Select the Failure Caption box
...and the user would see the failure caption when they place the drag source in the wrong spot>after three incorrect attempts the "On Failure" action would take effect. (at least this is what happens with click boxes...)

Custom text for JMenu and JMenuItem

hey guys
right now i can do a :
JMenu menu = new JMenu("File");but how can i customize the text on the Menu a.k.a "file" so may be it looks bigger or a different color ?
ive looked at the API i can see that JMenu takes "Action" object too which describes the look. I know Action is an interface and i havent been able to find a suitable class that implements this interface
so how should i go about changing the text look/feel ?

i can see that JMenu takes "Action" object too which describes the look.The Action has nothing to do with the look (other then providing the text to display). It has to do with the Action that happens when you select the menu item.

Using Verizon Messaging and people are not receiving my texts NOR am I receiving texts that were sent to me! Went to old iphone and disabled imessaging but still not working. I'm a big texter for personal and business and am ready to go back to iPhone.

Just got the Samsung Galaxy s5 and am very frustrated that I am not receiving text messages that were supposedly sent to me. Also, it says 'sent' but it is never delivered. Or it might get delivered but mine still just shows being sent. I re-started that phone and disabled my texting on my old iphone as some have suggested. I'm ready to go back to the iphone just because of this issue. Please fix this Verizon!

I'll tell you it is some marketing coup that a problem Apple has created and has control over is being passed off on Verizon.
This problem is the result of you migrating from iMessage, a messaging platform controlled completely by Apple, back to a more mainstream messaging system of SMS/MMS. Verizon has no control over other iPhones "thinking" you are still using iMessage. NOTHING Verizon can do will fix this problem.
Try texting the word "stop" to 48369. Others have reported this has worked. Doing this should de-register your number with the iMessage system. You should receive a confirmation reply. It may take a day or 2 for other iPhones to completely register that your number is no longer associated with iMessage. You can also try calling Apple support and let them know you are not receiving messages from iPhone users after switching to an android phone from an iPhone.

Formatting text for italics and boldface

Hello All,
If I have the contents of some string being displaced in a label (just like the Hello World app) is it possible to format the string to italicize or bold some words in the string. For instance if the string originally was "Hello there person" is it possible to format it so that in the label field it shows up as "Hello(bolded)there person (italicized" ?
