Oops accidently erased recenty added playlist need help!!

i erased the recently added playlist and now its so annoing to have to look through my entire library for the songs that i downloaded. i need help!!

The recently added playlist is nothing more than a Smart Playlist where the only rule is to...
Limit to XX Items selected by Most Recently Added
where xx is how ever many you want to see and make sure you click the live updating button as well.

Have you checked whether the songs are in your iTunes library? If they are, then just drag them to your purchased playlist. If they aren't, try checking for available downloads.
If none of the previous work, then get in contact directly with iTunes store support to tell them about your problem.

Hi,
It's just a Smart Playlist, so make a new Smart Playlist called "Recently Added". Set the rule to "Date Added is in the last two weeks" and make sure both "Match the following rule" and "Live updating" are checked. That's the same as the default "Recently Added" playlist...

I Lost my library and playlists, Need Help

Hi all
Yesterday i had a problem when i was starting my itunes, because when i started it it hasnt a single song in it, no playlists, nothing.It was like i just finished installed. completely empty:S
Fortunately i had set it to everytime i added a song it was copyed for the iTunes folder on my documents and everytime i changed a name from a song it automatically saved that information on the song, so that way i could keep a backup of every songs. so i have them all in the iTunes Music folder.
But the problem is, if i open my folder with all the songs (around 6000) i will not have the information i had before like, play counts, my playlists (ipod, top 100, etc..) ratings and etc.. that i had before, they very important to me
so is that anyway of getting my data back??? ive tried already opening a library file that i had, but its from 2008 and i had only in that time 4000 songs..
can anyone help me please? i would be very thanksful..

You back it up just like you back up any other file you don't want to lose, for instance your resume or special photos....either copy it to a different drive (I use a 2GB USB memory stick) or burn it to a CD/DVD.
It doesn't do any good to just copy it to another folder on the same hard drive. If that hard drive fails, then you've lost both copies.
The file in XP is
C:\Documents and Settings\ username \My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl
If you are using something other than the normal itunes defaults, use whatever path applies.
Some folks have had success with just changing the file name to remove the (damaged)

Blank Playlist - Need help!

Apparently when we lost our network drive we lost our playlist.
While the drive was down unfortunately it was plugged into the laptop.
Now everything is blank including the playlist.
I was able to recover the network drive.
Is there any way I can recover the old play list that took hrs to make.
Is there a way to go back into the older backups? Is there a file extension I should search on?

Playlists are not stored in the iPhone backup file (there's only one backup file kept, in any case, unless you manually copy and archive the file).
Playlists, like other iTunes content (music/videos/apps) are synced to the iPhone from iTunes. If the playlist is not on your iPhone, and not in iTunes, it is most likely gone.

Just added GPU Asus GTX650TIB-DC2OC-2GD5
I ran the system for 3 months with the onboard graphics. Never had a single problem.
Started playing my old flight sim game and had turn off/down many features to get the graphics to work and not freeze up at times, so bought a graphics card.
Had problems getting the new GPU to work. Had to preload drivers to get it to come on. Graphics would go off on some apps and had to reboot.
After a few days it has settled down and seems to work.
The problem is that the screen does not turn on until it gets to the windows welcome screen so I can't get to the bios screen.
It looks like there is a video preference setting in the bios but how can I get there.
I added all the utilities hoping to get the GOTOBIOS feature but when I go to MSI Fast Boot it just says its already running and so there is no tab to turn it on.
What can I do?
Also had to remove the Network Genie as it slow the internet to crawl and had to remove the utility that controls fans and clock speed as it used 30% of the cpu all the time but I guess that's a new topic.
Sorry this is so long but as you can probably tell this my first time on the forum.

I tried to do this but F8 didn't work to get to safe mode. It just locked up the start. Checked on line and saw that I could change config file to make it go to safe mode but saw the horror stories of people getting in a loop and having to reload their whole computer so didn't' try that.
I went back to the onboard graphics and was able to see the bios prompt at start up. Changed the integrated graphics configuration-initiate graphic adapter in bios to PEG for primary boot device. After save and exit the monitor wouldn't come on all. Shut down and switched the monitor cable back to the new GPU card. On start up the monitor started immediately saw the bois prompt and all is working like it should. The complete boot time is now much quicker, like it used to be. Time to start on my other problems.

I accidently erased the recently added playlist from my itunes how do I get it back on there so I know what was just adde because I have like over 3000 songs on there and dont know whats new

All you need to do is create a new Smart Playlist (File>New Smartplaylist). Make the criteria Date add is in the last: and then pick a time frame that makes sense for you. If you add music often, you might want it to be in the last week, for example. Then make sure that Live Updating is checked.
Once you hit ok, the name of the playlist will be highlighted in the source pane. It will be called "untitled playlist". Change it to Recently Added (or whatever you want).

Before you sync your iPhone make sure that all the music that was synced to your phonereviously has been copied to your iTunes on the new MacBook Pro. Then when you connect your phone you will be able to either sync all music or select only those playlists that you want on the phone.

I accidently deleted my "recently added" playlist. how do I get it back?

I'm very new to itunes and having trouble getting the hang of it.
I was trying to clean up some playlist files and was attempting to delete songs I didn't want or need. I hit shift-delete and all of sudden EVERYTHING disappeared. the songs I had purchased... stuff I had recently uploaded... everything.
I went to the recycle bin and hit "restore" in the hopes that things would come back, but no luck.
I was able to search my computer and get the songs I needed back, but it was quite frustrating. in addition, one of the things that disappeared that I wasn't able to retrieve was the "recently added" playlist, which was actually quite helpful to me.
I attempted to upload a new CD to see if it would recreate the "recently added" list, but no luck.
how do I get that back and make sure that future uploads are automatically saved to that playlist?

Match the rule "Date Added">"is in the last">"1">"Days" make the days and the interval to suit yourself, you can have days, weeks or months.

I erase the "recently added" playlist that orangally came with itunes. How came I put it back?

Have you erased the entire playlist or just the option recently added?
If you erased just the option try doing this:
With the right button of the mouse click on the top where it's written Name, Artist, lenght ecc... It should then give you a list of options. Select recently added to put this option in the playlist.
Then click on recently added, this time with the left button, to have the songs put in order (recently added)

I sync my iPad. Now everything is messed up playlists and music are gone. Weird stuff showed up. And now I can't find the option to delete or make new playlists. 6.1.2 is my newest version!! NEED HELP!!

So I don't sync my iPad very often. My dad and I share a computer. And I decided to do it the other day. I am pretty sure I did it all correctly selecting music that I wanted not deleting playlists but it seems to be that they are gone. And music I didn't want has appeared. And now I don't have an option (with this new iOS 6.1.2) to make new playlists or edit music I don't want out.
I know I need help figuring those two things out 1 how to make a play list. There isn't a "add" button anymore in that screen I have a "you have no playlist"with a button underneath that says "go to iTunes Store" why I would need the store for that, I do not know.
Then in the songs, artists, albums sections where you used to be able to hit "edit" button to delete the music you have that you don't want. I don't seem to be able to do anything at all to get rid of the random music I have.
I need help. I know my iPad fairly well but I am not super savvy with it either.

Is there a "New" button at the top right of the Playlists section of Music?
There is no Edit button to delete music, swipe sideways on the song to reveal the delete button. Tap and hold on the artwork in Artists and albums to reveal the (X) button to delete. Or connect the iPad back up to iTunes on the computer and check your sync settings for music to ensure you are syncing the right content.

Use View > View Options, and set 'Sort By" to "Manual Order."
Then you will be able to drag-n-drop songs up and down the list.

Hi,
To restore your music, connect to your computer's iTunes and try the following settings.
Then hit the Apply button on bottom right. I find it best to select "sync only checked songs and videos" in the Options in Summary.
