Opacity error displaying some reports

Hi at all,
i've a problem with crystal report viewer, v. 13.0.2000.0. I'm upgrading a webapp using an older version 12 of CRV. So the reports are the same. Now displaying some of them they are half-hidden.
I've found that in this cases ther is an inline style opacity set to a low value. if i use the F12 instrument for IE9 and uncheck the attribute, the report is displayed correctly. Is there a bug of this version of CRV?
thank you

Hello Emanuele
If you can provide detailed set of steps to reproduce the issue, including the design of the report, I'll try to reproduce the issue and see if this is a bug.
A link to a screeshot of the issue may also be helpful.

  • User gets crw32.EXE error on some reports

    I have a user who gets a crw32.exe error message  when running some custom reports he has created.   The error signature is as follows:    AppName: crw32.exe;   AppVer:  11.0.0.1252;  ModName:  mfc71u.dll;  ModVer:  7.10.3077.0;   Offset:  00ac991;
We have already  uninstalled and reinstalled Crystal (Standard version).  The user is set up as a local administrator.   He used to be able to perform a work-around to get the reports to run.  He would first open another report and run it, and then open one of the problem reports and it would then run successfully.   This is no longer working.
    Any ideas?

    Additional Information:
While looking at replies to my response and doing the follow-up suggested by these replies, I discovered that if the user launches Crystal Reports first and then uses the application to open the  report file, he can run the report successfully.  In the limited testing, this appears to work every time!
However if he double-clicks on the report file (*.rpt)  in the directory (Windows Explorer) and through the file association, Crystal launches, he will get the error on these few reports every time!   So he has a work around at least, but if you have any further suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

  • PDF printing error in some reports

    Hi,
I am using apache-tomcat-6.0.26 + cocoon-2.1.11 as my PDF print server for Apex. I tested the server and found out that, for simple reports with very limited parameters, PDF download worked find. However, for reports that have certain parameters, it said something like "Adobe Reader cannot open the file because it is either not a supported file type or file is damaged...".
Also, how can I change the memory size to 512 of Tomcat on Windows?
    Any help?
    Thanks.
    Andy

    Hi Andy,
Do the parameters that you enter into the report generate any result set?
I don't really know what is causing the error you experiencing but I found that sometimes I would get a similar error when I attempted to print a report to PDF that contained no data (although I was using BI Publisher). Not sure if this has something to do with it...
Alternatively, there could be characters within the word document, like brackets (), that could be causing the issue. I think it still causes an issue even if it is in the data itself.
I would start off with a simple report and then add a little bit of functionality at a time, and then test, to work out which part of the report is causing you grief.
    Amanda.

When I run a report such as "Computers with a specific files" I get the following error:

    Thanks!!

Can you also run in the web reports though? We need to try running there to see if there is a report issue or a console issue. It looks like a console issue, but we need to test to be sure.

  • Proxy error when running reports in Infoview

We are running XI 3.1 sp4 and are getting a Proxy error on some reports when running in PDF mode. Any ideas?
    Here's the error:
    Proxy Error
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /AnalyticalReporting/ViewAsPDF/Disposition Analysis Report.pdf.
Reason: Error reading from remote server

    Hi Sylvia,
It seems that the reverse proxy you are using: Apache could have problems with the sessions of the users. I have seen the same behaviour with other Load Balancers. If you have different WAS in the backend, make sure they stay with the same WAS (session affinity).

This is not really the correct forum to be posting Reports issues. However, if I were to guess, your issue is likely related to the known issues related to installing FMw11R1 on machines which had IPv6 enabled. In most cases, disabling IPv6 would correct the problem, however some issues were not resolved even after disabling IPv6 post-install. I would recommend patching to WLS 10.3.6 and FMw 11.1.1.6 as these versions include fixes for all of those issues as far as I recall.

  • Error in displaying hierachry report with TableView and Tableiterator

    Hello,
I tried to create a BSP as shown in this tutorial:
    /people/vijaybabu.dudla/blog/2008/08/04/display-hierarchy-report-in-bsp-using-tableview-and-tableview-iterator
When starting the BSP I get an error that a field symbol is not assigned in the method get_column_name.
When debugging the method get_column_name I can see that row_ref is initial. So the field symbols <row> and <col> are not assigned to any values, which causes the error some lines below.
    METHOD get_column_value .
*-To get the Column values which is used in the Interator
FIELD-SYMBOLS: <row> TYPE ANY, <col> TYPE ANY, <cur> TYPE ANY.

ASSIGN COMPONENT currency OF STRUCTURE <row> TO <cur>.
WRITE <col> CURRENCY <cur> TO tempchar.

        WRITE <col> TO tempchar.
        MOVE tempchar TO column_value.

      CONDENSE column_value.

    Any help?
    Thank you

    Hi Patrick,
    Thank you for the answer.
Unfortunately there is still the error with the unassigned field symbol after implementing the render_row_start method.
    Any help?
Edit: It works now. There was an error with a wrong variable name (stupig mistake.)
    Thanks for the help!

Wow. It's been a long, long time since I've seen CR throw error: no error (like v. 4.5 or so...). Used to chuckle about it - I think I even saved a screenshot of it
It will be good to have more info on this:
    Win or web app?
    Printer used.
    Printer driver name and version.
The reports that do not work throw the error consistently?
Code used to print the reports.
    Is this a threaded app?
Do you get the issue printing from the viewer?
Do you get the issue printing from the designer viewer?

Would someone tell what I missed, I have set up the following:
    1) a report using report builder on NT

    3) my report server is started in NT
    4) I run webdb listener for the following code: http://myweb.com/cgi/rwcgi60.exe?server=repserver+report=myreport+userid=usid/pw/connect_string+destype=cache+desformat=html. Then, I receive this message:

Why is it thinking I want to use the printer whereas I want to display the report in the browser?. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like that your Web CGI did not configure right. To test if your CGI configuration is correct, type:
    http://hostname:port/cgi-bin/rwcgi60exe?
If you get a help screen, then you should be able to bring up your report.

  • Internal error when try to display Interactive Report

    Hello Gurus
I'm facing problem with displaying Interactive Reports in Web GUI (CRM 2007). When I try to open existing report or new created one, I see on the display area error "Load failed, Internal error" (no other system errors)
I think all configuration is done well, I have checked it by reports: Z_OLTP_CONFIG_CHECK and Z_OLTP_CONFIG_CHECK_BI, and except error DataSource /CRMBW/BOOL_TEXT is not active, everything is ok.
By the way - how can active this data source, while I can't find it anywhere, even in repository (RSA5)?
I thought maybe problem is with my browser or Flash player, but other functionalities uses flash work good (ie. key figures).
    Any hints?

Can you define "sometimes" a bit more?
Is it after a number of runs of a report?
Is it on a particular report?
Is it after you do certain operations on the report (paging, zooming, dill down, print, etc., etc.)?
Can you duplicate the issue if you isolate the report to a new test app?
Did you happen to notice if the issue existed prior to FP 3.5?
Is this on your dev computer or a client computer?
    OS?
