Open a JSP page from an applet

Hello u all!
I am writing an applet in which I ask for a few parameters, when I have them all Id like to open a new JSP page in another window of the web browser giving to this page all the parameters I have collected during the life of the applet. Does anybody know how can I do it? Thanks in advance.

  • How to open a JSP page from a form ??? plz help

    hi ..
i want to know how to open a jsp page from a oracle apps form using a button .
the requirement is that whenever we click on the button created on the form, it opens a jsp page.
plz help me ..its urgent !! :-(

In portlet project, to navigate between pages, you should not use the URL property to link to a page. Instead, portlets use navigation via action handling. You use the Page Navigation editor to set up links to pages; that is, the navigation editor sets the action property.
Here is an example to hyperlink ans button to open a new page:
    # From within the IDE, create a new portlet project. This action creates the project and one page, PortletPage1.jsp.
    # Create a second portlet page, called PortletPage2.jsp, for the project.
    # Drop a Hyperlink component onto the first portlet page, PortletPage1. (You can drop the Hyperlink on the page in the Design window or on the PortletPage1 node in the Outline window.) Change the Hyperlink's text property to Next Page.
    # Drop a Button component (found in the Basic section of the Palette) onto the second portlet page, PortletPage2.
    # Open the Page Navigation Editor. It displays the two pages (PortletPage1.jsp and PortletPage2.jsp) of the application.
    # Click the PortletPage1.jsp icon in the Navigation window to expand it, and then drag a connector from hyperlink1 to PortletPage2.jsp. Change the name of the connector from case1 to Page2.
    # Click the PortletPage2.jsp icon in the Navigation window to expand it, and then drag a connector from button1 to PortletPage1.jsp. Change the name of the connector from case1 to Page1.
    # Run and deploy the portlet. The browser displays PortletPage1 and you should see the Next Page hyperlink. When you click the Next Page hyperlink, the Apache Pluto Portal server displays PortletPage2. Click the Page2 button to return to PortletPage1.

  • Open a html page from an applet

    Hi,
I would like to open, from an applet, an HTML page in a new window with a specific width an eight.
    Who can help me ?

Here is an example of applet to javascript with liveconnect:
    http://www.narhari.com/java/applet2javascript/
You can use the send(String) method from the sample applet to send something like:
window.open('xyz.html','myPopup','width=200,height=200');in order to open a window with specific dimensions
of course you can also build HTML in your applet and use send() + some javascript to render it.

  • Need to login again while opening a JSP page from inside Oracle Forms

    Hi,
we are using EBS r12.1.1 on OEL 5.
Whenever we are trying to open java page from inside an Oracle Form a login page is coming again. And we need to login to view the page.Whereas when the same page is been opened from the home page itself it is opening fine.
    Please help.

    Hi,
We've had similiar issues to this. Typically it's around the java version on the client machine being different to that on the oracle server.
We usually uninstall the client machines java (making sure all applications are closed first), then log back into forms so it downloads the java client again from the server.
Once it has done that, you need to go into the java control panel and turn off updates.
    Hope that helps.
    Cheers,
    Russell H.

will show some information , i managed to open the pop-up and pass some parameters to popup

  • How can I link to a jsp page from another jsp page within websphere portal?

    Afternoon all,
I have a websphere portlet which displays a jsp page. I want to put a hyperlink on the jsp page which when clicked will open another jsp page.
Does anyone know how to do this?
    Thanks,
    Alex

The anchor tag is the correct one for generating clickable links.
<jsp:forward> is for transferring control at the server end. Its when you decide to change which page you want to show the user. ie check user is logged in. If not then forward them to login page, else display current page.
I tried that. It does open the jsp page
but the place and page links in the portal theme get screwed up.Whats mucked up about them? Do they point where they shouldn't?
You might try using a <base> tag to set where relative links are resolved from.
    Cheers,

No, I don't want the page to load in the browser window, I want it to load in the applet, as I said before.Your showDocument commands above would result in the target page replacing the page the applet is in, rather than opening the target page inside the applet.
To load a document inside the applet, might be achieved by using a JEditorPane to contain the HTML, then simply calling JEP.setPage(URL). Two things about that though:
    1) An applet will need to be trusted in order to load documetns from foreign hosts.
    2) Google frowns upon people reading their pages into any bot or software other than a standard browser.
I defined the main() method because that is the way I know how to do it. I'm not worried about having a main() in it right now. You should be. Combined applet/applications do make some sense during development - I do them quite often. But you need to realise that an applet launched that way will not be able to use the kind of things an embedded applet can normally expect to be able to access, such as the AppletContext. (1)
..I just can't figure out how to load a web page in an applet.
Basically making a web browser out of an applet that loads the page I tell it to in the code.JEditorPane (with a HyperlinkListener), trusted applet, not Google. And in fact, though the JEP is getting better over time, it is not generally considered to be good enough to use as the basis for a 'real world (wild web)' browsing component.
    Edit 1:
    (1) Having implemented a basic AppletContext for Appleteer , I can tell you it is not trivial!
Also, that code above was just one line short (the import for the applet package) of being an SSCCE *(<- link).* Please consider posting SSCCEs in future - you get better chance of help, faster.

It is possible, but I very, very, very, much doubt, that it would be worth the effort. And, if you don't know how, a forum is not truely going to be able to help you implement it (at least not in less than a few years time, at which point it would be outdated).

  • How to call a jsp page from oaf and run in jDeveloper

    Hi all,
I created sample jsp and then tried.
    String temp = "sample.jsp?";
    pageContext.setForwardURL(temp,
    null,
    OAWebBeanConstants.KEEP_MENU_CONTEXT,
    null,
    null,
    true,
    OAWebBeanConstants.ADD_BREAD_CRUMB_YES,
    OAWebBeanConstants.IGNORE_MESSAGES);
    It worked.
But when i tried with one of the custom page that i downloaded from server it is giving error.
But now i need to call that page.
Its Code is given on below link:
Re: how to call a jsp page from oaf
Please help me to do this.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Raj

    Raj,
    1. Hope you have placed the custom jsp page (which you have downloaded from server) under "jdevhome\jdev\myhtml\OA_HTML" directory ?
    2. Try to run the custom jsp page from Jdeveloper directly and check whether its working properly or not ?
(i.e. add jsp page to any project in Jdeveloper then right click on jsp page and select Run xxx.jsp)
    3. If page errors out then custom jsp page seems require few parameters to run it successfully. Pass all requied parameters and test.
    4. There is no problem in the way you are calling jsp page from OAF page.
    regards,
    Anand

  • Opening a WEB page from FORMS CS & WebForms

    Hi,
We would like to open a Web Page from a forms running in
client/server as well as from a form runningover the web.
Over the web, we plan to use SHOW_DOWUMENT (Even tough it seems
broken, on forms 6.0, the only way we have got it working was by
using the parameter that overwrites the current page (the form),
we cannot have it open an URL in another window)
In C/S mode, the SHOW DOCUMENT does not work. What is the proper
way to lauch an URL in a browser in C/S mode ?
Is there a way to determine if we're running in CS mode or Web
Mode ? We would like to use the same code both on the web and in
    C/S
    Example pseudo code:
if (Running in CS Mode) then
open the URL using C/S method
    else
open the URL with show dowument
    fi
    Thanks
    null

use '_blank' as parameter, not '_self'.
