Open a pdf-file with acrobat 7.0

Hello,
I'm trying to open a pdf-file inside from Labview 7.1. On the machine is Acrobat 7.0 installed.
I found some examples with older Acrobat releases, but they does'nt work with Acrobat 7
Thank's for help
Jürgen

I don't have LV in front of me at the moment, but what you should do is drop an ActiveX container (from the containers palette) on the front panel, right click it and select insert ActiveX object and select an Acrobat object from the screen to have an acrobat window. Then, use invoke nodes and property nodes to control it. Search the example finder for ActiveX to see how to work with those.

  • How do I make safari open a pdf file with acrobat x instead of reader

I would like a pdf file from a link in Safari to open the linked file with adobe acrobat x rather than either adobe reader of the safari version.  Where can I set the preference to get this done?

Aha!  The properties for the plugin file nppdf32.dll for Adobe Reader indicate the file is for Adobe Acrobat.  This misidentification is then used by SeaMonkey as a label in the helper application list.
Adobe Reader 11.0.3.37:  nppdf32.dll has version 11.0.3.37.  This is the version in SeaMonkey's plugins folder.
    Adobe Acrobat 7.0.8.218:  nppdf32.dll has version 7.0.9.50.
As for having both Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat on the same PC, this generally works providing Reader is installed AFTER Acrobat.  Reader is freeware, and I want to keep it current.  Acrobat is purchaseware, and I cannot afford to keep buying  upgrades or newer versions.

  • Can't open a PDF file with acrobat photoshop album starter 3.0

scanned pictures and saved them as a PDF file in another computer. I think the version was 6 (but not sure). I downloaded acrobat reader (version + acrobat Photoshop to my computer.
now I'm trying to open the files in order to make some changes in the photos (cut them and so on), but I cant open them. can open them with the acrobat reader. but not with adobe Photoshop album started 3.0. I am getting a massage saying "the PDF file foes not contain any photos" and it shows the location of the file. the file definitely contains photos. what do I need to do?
    thanks for the help, nilli

Is it Photoshop Starter Edition that is giving your the No Photos message or is it Reader?
If the PDF has photos in it, and you open it with Reader, you should see a toolbar called Picture Tasks. Picture Tasks will let you extract the photos.

  • Must always "allow program to make changes to computer"  upon opening a pdf file with Acrobat

Whenever I attempt to open a pdf with AA, I get this notificaiton:
"Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer".
Running  Adobe X Pro (10.1.8) on Windows 7, 64-bit. I had resolved this awhile ago,  but recently had to do a reinstall of Acrobat and now the problem is  reoccuring.
This doesn't happen on my two other pcs, both running Windows XP.
I  believe in the past I changed the compatibilty to XP (not sure of  service pack). Have tried 2 and 3 to no avail. Tried "Run as admin" and  not.
    What am I missing?
    Thx

If I try to open Adobe by itself, without attaching it to a specific file, same thing- still got command.
But I can add this:  Somehow awhile back I found the solution on line (if I recall, it was not in an Adobe forum). Kicking myself for not posting here. So I had it working, but then I recently had to reinstall the program and it went back to square one. However,  I instructed the program to open with an previous version (Right click- properties - previous version) and I know can open again without getting that annoying command. Problem is I stll can't remember how I got it that way the first time. I was thinking it may have been tied in with making it compatible to an earlier version, but I just checked Properties again, and it says Windows 7, so that is not changing anything. I am sorry. I have searched and seached again to find that earlier solution, but now I can't find it! If anyone else can figure it out, please post to save the next person a bunch of time. I have spent hours on this already, searching, reading, tweaking.

  • Why can't I open some Pdf files with Acrobat Beta?

I am using Acrobat.com Beta, and I don't have too many problems with converting to Pdf files, but opening some files that are already Pdf is does not work.I am told to download them ,and afterwards Itry to open them without success. Is there an answer out there?

I'm sorry you're having trouble.Special PDF files such as PDF portfolios or secured PDF files or password protected source files cannot be previewed on Acrobat.com.
Please note that not being able to preview a file should not interfere with the successful viewing of the file once downloaded.
Are you able to open and view PDFs on your desktop? What happens if you try to download the file from Acrobat.com in a different browser?

    Hi higi97,
How are you connected to the internet? Are you behind a particularly secure corporate firewall? Are you on Mac or Windows? Do you have any anti-malware software running on your machine that may be preventing applications other than your browser from connecting to the internet?
You may try to follow the steps below:
    1.Close the Creative Cloud application.
    2.Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
    3.Delete the opm.db file.
    4.Launch Creative Cloud.
Let us know if that helps,
    Regards,
    Rave

  • An attempt to open a pdf file with Photoshop Elements (version 12) resulted in a pop generated by the Photoshop Editor stated "Impossible to execute this operation (opening file) because one of the specified colour is not managed". Is there any mean to ad

An attempt to open a pdf file with Photoshop Elements (version 12) resulted in a pop generated by the Photoshop Editor stated "Impossible to execute this operation (opening file) because one of the specified colour is not managed". Is there any mean to adapt the file to make its reading possible?
Did somebody get the same problem?

It is a high order probability that your SQL's report generator is creating the PDF, not Acrobat (which by design and EULA cannot be used in as/with server).
That the report generator outputs to an old-old version of PDF bears this out.
Wiki articles on PDF are very nice for those high level intro summaries.
To know / understand PDF you purchase and study the ISO Standard for PDF (ISO 32000-1:2008).
Rather than "PDF validation" you may want to consider addressing the appearent root cause of the problem(s).
You can change the email2fax application to one that can deal with older PDF versions.
You can change the report generator to one that can output to the ISO Standard.
(Perhaps the in-use application can be configured to output to the current version of PDF (i.e., the ISO Standard).
    Be well...

  • How can I convert a PDF/A file into a PDF file with Acrobat Pro X?

How can I convert a PDF/A file into a PDF file with Acrobat Pro X? I'd like to modifiy the file which I have only as a PDF/A.

There's two answers if you want to modify the file:
You can temporarily turn off PDF/A Mode in your preferences, so they don't open as read-only. The problem would be if you do something to the file that violated the PDF/A standard, so you should always run a Preflight check afterwards to make sure.
If you want to remove the PDF/A header tag, use Preflight again - it's on the Print Production Panel in Acrobat X Pro (which may be hidden, use the options menu on the Tools Pane to show it). There's a profile called "Remove PDF/A information" - choose this and press Analyze and Fix. Nothing else about the file will be altered but when you save and reopen it all the editing tools will become active.

  • I need to send an email where the recipient opens the PDF file with a password,   can anybody help me and show me how to do that

Hello,  I am trying to send an email where the recipient opens the PDF file with a password,   can anybody show me how to do that

    Hi surez,
To password protect a PDF file, you need to use Acrobat. If you don't have Acrobat, you can try it for free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.
In Acrobat, you choose File > Properties when the document is open, and then click the Security tab to set up a password.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Cannot open any pdf file with safari

cannot open any pdf file with safari

download adobe acrobat reader for free,  saves all PDF files and ideally open under Acrobat
there are much more options for using and viewing the options native in Acrobat than in Safari, obviously.

  • I can't use thunderbird 31.2.0 to send attachement from a pdf file with Acrobat PRO XI

I can't use thunderbird 31.2.0 (Mozilla) to send attachement from a pdf file with Acrobat PRO XI. Each time, Acrobat replies (in french) : "il n'y a pas de client pour la messagerie par défaut". Thunderbird is indicated as "by default" in the list of programs of Windows.
Even if I type my e-mail address, etc. in the account of Acrobat, it doesn't change. Each time, I have to record a PDF file in a folder and return to Thunderbird to send it as attached. It is a too long process,  compared with Windows XP with Acrobat Reader or Acrobat 5, I had before.
Would you please help me to explain the process. My OS is Windows 8.1.
    Thank you

    Thank you for your answer.
What i want to do : to send PDF files as attached documents in a message
generated by thunderbird by my e-mail address [email protected] or
    another one I have.
When I introduce my e-mail address under Edit-Preferences-Email
Accounts, Acrobat ask the e-mail account, the password, the IMAP for
ingoing message (and I use POP) and SMTP for outgoing messages. Even I
introduce all the datas, it doesn't change, Acrobat is unable to send
the message. And the process is not convenient, because I need all my
outgoing messages be documented inside Thunderbird.
So, I repeat my request : how can I use thenderbird as program by
default from Acrobat or any other software ?
Thank you for your next message.

  • Optimize my pdf file with Acrobat 10 pro

I have always been able to optimize my pdf file with Acrobat 10 pro until now.  It gives me the following error.  Runtime error, This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the applications support team for more information.  I just need to make it smaller as there is a cap on the senders end that I am sending it to.  I have also tried the reduce pdf and get the same reply.  [email protected]

PDF's with forms can only be optimized with a SAVE AS and the option set to "Save File For Fast Webviewing".
Be sure that option is set and just do a save as and then rename the file back to your original.
