Open a pdf in an url with parameters #zoom=scale,left,top

In the previous versions of Adobe Reader, it was possible to open a pdf in the web browser adding some arguments : #zoom=scale,left,top.
So we could open the pdf at a specific position, with a specific zoom.
But in the last version for windows, 10, the parameters 'left' and 'top' seem to be ignored. Only the zoom value is taken into account.
There is no error message, no warning. We could write the values we want for the left and the top but nothing happens.
So, I was wondering why it doesn't work anymore ?
And to be sure, I re-installed the version 9  of Adobe and it works, but not with the 10.
(and I hope that is not a fonctionnality which wasn't re-implemented in Adobe Reader 10).
If someone has an idea...
Thanks

So, nobody has an idea ?
Juste to be more clear, I give an example :
http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/pdf_open_parameters.pdf#zoom =300,200,200
Then, if you enter this url in a new tab, considering you use the adobe reader plugin to open pdf in web browser, the file will be opened with a zoom of 300, and the letf corner position will be at 200 pixels of the right, and at 200 pixels of the top.
But it doesn't work with Adobe reader 10, that's my problem...
Could someone help me with this ?
Bye

  • Opening a url  with parameters in an application

    I'm able to open a url in a browser from my application, but I want to open a url with parameters.
    for instanse http://mypage.asp?parameter=a
    You get a file not found. Is this possible?
    I'm currently using
    Runtime.getRuntime().exec( "cmd /C start " + url);

    Found the answer -- you have to put the url in quotes lest the ampersands parse the end off.

    We've seen this bug on machines running IE6 with a certain security patch (I forget its number). There's a thread in the Metalink reports forum about it. It appears to be somewhat tied to another problem where IE runs the report twice (you can see that in Showjobs. You're seeing the problem in 6i; I believe it persists in 9i.
    The workarounds are (1) set Acrobat so it doesn't open within IE or (2) switch to a different browser, like Netscape. For workaround 1, Start Acrobat Reader, Choose File -> Preferences -> General, Uncheck Web Browser Integration
    There's some evidence that it occurs more often with urls that include single quote characters. I think it's worse with XP, but I don't have any proof.
    If you check Adobe's site, you will see this isn't just an Oracle Reports problem. I think we're waiting for Microsoft on this one, so don't hold your breath for a quick fix.

  • Remote URL with parameters

    I'm building a ADF Mobile application and would like to call remote URL with parameters however there is no concrete example of this in the developer guide. I would like to call www.google.com?q=queryParam where queryParam is an user input.
    Thank you...

    I think you need to first define a white list of sites and this will allow opening the page in the web view instead of a separate browser see:

  • Lauching URLS with parameters Form Personalization

    Hello,
    At Crawley Borough Council we wish to use FP to launch urls with parameters; this would really enhance how CRM is used at Crawley BC. There values are taken from the contact centre customer block e.g. CUSTOMER_HEADER_BLK.CUST_FNAME would could be translated to the value of FRED.
    I can launch URLs without parameters ok, as soon as I add parameters I either get a url that does not translate the parameters or get an ORA error on vaildation.
    Can somebody please advise me the correct way to proceed.
    URL where parameters not translated when launched.
    http://cbcstlintraa/stellent/idcplg?&IdcService=GET_FILE&dDocName=CRMResultsForm&RevisionSelectionMethod=Latest&Rendition=Web&QueryText=(dDocType%20<Substring>%20'FormPublished'%20<or>%20dDocType%20<Substring>%20'ScannedDocs')%20<and>%20(xCRMName%20<Substring>%20' ||: CUSTOMER_HEADER_BLK.CUST_FNAME || '<or>%20xCRMPartyID%20<Substring>%20' ||:CUSTOMER_HEADER_BLK.CUST_PARTY_ID||') '

    Hi there,
    Try using this syntax for the variable: ${item.customer_header_blk.cust_fname}
    E.g.: ='http://www.google.fr/search?q='||${item.customer_header_blk.cust_fname}
    for a Google search based on your customer first name...

  • How do I open a PDF posted in safari with another program....Isn't there an "open in" option?

    I am using my iPad for school in conjunction with D2L. When professors upload documents to the website (mostly using Adobe) I can open the PDF but only the first page of the document comes up. I have adobe reader on my I pad and the instructions say to click on the "open in" tab and chose adobe reader. However, I have yet to find an open in tab. I have several apps on my iPad including adobe reader, pages and good reader. Please help me find a way to read through these documents.
    Thanks!!!!!!!

    iBooks functions as a decent PDF reader.  Install iBooks and you should see it as an option in 'Open in' of Safari.
    Good luck.

    Hi,
    Lately we have packaged Adobe Reader XI with App-V 5 SP2 but we are getting an error on some users when they are trying to open embedded PDF on Internet Explorer.
    The below screenshot is the error that is currently popping up when users try to open embedded PDF
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • When opening a PDF in IE 10 with Enhanced Protection Mode it displays "This website wants to run acropdf.dll"

    I am running my application which requires JRE on Internet Explorer 10. Since the IE need to run in 64 bit mode, we have enabled the "Enhanced Protection Mode" in Security option of Internet Options in Advanced tab. But my application also opens
    up PDF in the browser, when the page with PDF is invoked it displays "The webpage wants to run 'AcroPDF.dll'. If you trust this site, you can disable Enhanced Protection Mode for this site to run the control.(Disable)(Always Ignore)".  And on
    clicking any option the PDF is not displayed.
    We would not be able to disable the  Enhanced Protection Mode as the 64 Bit JRE would not be invoked for other part of the application.
    Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

    ... and/or
    Configure Adobe Reader to not use a Web Browser to open PDF documents... (see the Adobe.com for admx files to apply this setting by group policy) (
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/392489 )
    Start>Adobe Reader>Edit>Preferences>Internet>uncheck "Display PDF in browser"
    It seems that Adobe have recently changed the location of that setting in Adobe Reader (at least on 11.0.4).  They've now hidden it under Edit > Accessibility > Setup Assistant > Then on page 5 of 5, there's a tick box to toggle 'Display PDF
    documents in the Web Browser'.
    However, it doesn't work like it used to though, as it won't just open a PDF in Adobe Reader instead of the browser.  It will instead ask to disable Enhanced Protected Mode to run acroPDF.dll.
    And if you try disabling the Adobe PDF reader add-on in Manage Add-ons to try and force it to open in Reader, then when you visit a PDF link, you just get the same blank page (shown below) with the black crossed out circle in the top left, but without the
    message bar at the bottom of the window.  The only way to open the PDF is to either turn off Enhanced Protected Mode and allow acroPDF.dll to run or if there's an original link to the PDF, right click and select 'save-as'.
    I think it's about time Adobe released an x64 PDF viewer...  Or at least there should be an open/save dialogue box in IE.
    If you've got Reader 11.0.4 installed, you can try it for yourself with this PDF link:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/adobe_reader_reference.pdf
    (The below screenshot is with 'Display PDF documents in the Web Browser' UN-ticked in Adobe Reader settings, so it should open in Reader instead.  But it doesn't.  And with the Reader add-on disabled you get the same page, but without the
    message at the bottom.)

  • How to open Acrobat PDF contains spot colors with Photoshop?

    I'm looking for a simple way to open a pdf file that contains spot color channels with Photoshop. Currently Photoshop can open only CMYK channels. DCS can be a solution but Acrobat doesn’t have the option to save as DCS. Please advice.

    Are you referring to opening the entire PDF file in Photoshop or do you mean that you have the PDF file open in Acrobat and want to open one of the images into Photoshop for editing?
    Opening PDF files (created in other programs) in Photoshop is often a recipe for disaster... or rather a recipe to raster.

  • URL that open Self Service Submit Request page with parameters

    Hello,
    I have a concurrent program on Oracle APPS that generate an output in HTML.
    I want to have a link in the data that, when click, it takes the information for this line (account_number, header_id etc) and open the web page for submitting request (Self service). Where the user can find the program name already in the textbox.
    Or better, is it possible to just click on the link on the report output and a concurrent program is launched with the parameter of the line where the link is.
    Note: no OAF coding in this solution
    Thanks for you help,
    Vik

    I think you dont need to create a Concurrent program submission window. It is available in OAF itself. Just you need to pass input parameter. Also read more in dev guide.

  • Opening OA page in new window with parameters

    Hi all,
    Hi need to open a new page in a new window with some parameters to be passed to that page.
    Here is the code i have written.
    But i am not sure how to pass parameter in java script string
    String userid = new Integer(pageContext.getUserId()).toString();
    OAButtonBean go = (OAButtonBean) webBean.findChildRecursive("go");
    String url1 = "javascript:openWindow(top,'OA.jsp?page=/aos/oracle/apps/per/payslip/webui/AGSBPaySlipPG&userid={@userid}, null, {width:750, height:550},false, null, null);void(0);";
    go.setDestination(url1);
    Thanks,
    Devang

    hi mani,
    I didn't got wat u meant by binding the attribute.
    I tried another way.
    I had a OAButtonBean GO
    I have 2 messagechoices one for month and another for year
    So in page A in month it shows Jan in starting (till Dec) and in year it shows 2006 as per the picklist view attribute. Also I have attached the VO and view attribute for both the messagechoices.
    Now in the setDestination of the GO button i have url of my pageB with retainAM=Y and target frame as _blank.
    So i select "Oct" from messageChoice and year as 2006 and click GO but still when it goes to pageB and when i try System.out.println(<the view object attribute value>)
    i get "Jan" instead of "Oct". Below is the code in pageB i am using to get the value of the month from VO
    MonthVOImpl monthVO = (MonthVOImpl)pslip.getMonthVO();
    //pslip is AM object
    RowSetIterator monthrowsetiterator = monthVO.findRowSetIterator("monthvo");
    if (monthrowsetiterator == null)
    monthrowsetiterator = monthVO.createRowSetIterator("monthvo");
    // monthrowsetiterator.reset(); I NEED TO COMMENT THIS OUT - RIGHT ??
    MonthVORowImpl monthrow = (MonthVORowImpl)monthrowsetiterator.next();
    String month = monthrow.getMonth().toString();
    System.out.println(month);
    So how do i resolve this issue. I thought that retaining the AM will take care of the value which i am selecting in the messagechoice in pageA.
    Any ideaz??
    Thanks,
    Devang
