Open a pdf with out print or save button

Hello,
Is there any way to open pdf with out using save or print and also make other users to not to open the file.
thanks

Hi,
My understanding is that you have a PDF document in a document library and you want to open the PDF in one click.
If my understanding is right, then you can set the default open behavior to ”open in the client application”.
Also, please install the corresponding software to  the default program of opening the PDF.
About making others not to open the file, you can set the Library permission for specific user to achieve it.
Here is a detailed article for your reference:

    Well it is difficult to understand your question so little information, and with an apparent language problem, but you can can Save As to the pdf format.  If you have any text layers, do _not_ flatten before exporting.  Use a High Quality Print preset in the PDF dialog box, unless file size is critical.
    If I have misunderstood your question, please give a lot more information, including what version of Photoshop.  You can use your own language if that is easier, and we'll use the forum Translate feature, but the more information you put in your post, the better chance of it being understood.

  • Open a pdf with a model.

    Hi.
    I've a portal application. In a class, I call to one Bapi, and this Bapi return a table and I keep the table into a model. I want open a pdf with my model.

    Hi Jens,
    I'm developing a portar archive (.par).
    This is the code by which I call the BAPI and it gives back to me the model:

                        if (!this.getbegda().equals(""))
                       {funcion.getImportParameterList().setValue(this.getbegda(),"JBEGDA");}
                        if (!this.getendda().equals(""))
                        {funcion.getImportParameterList().setValue(this.getendda(),"JENDDA");}
                        miCliente.execute(funcion);
                    com.sap.mw.jco.JCO.Table out = funcion.getTableParameterList().getTable("OUT");
                        com.sap.mw.jco.JCO.Field retorno = funcion.getExportParameterList().getField("RETURN_CODE");
                    for(int i = 0; i < out.getNumRows(); i++)
                        { out.setRow(i);
                          fila.addElement(out.getString("CODIGO"));
                          fila.addElement(out.getString("NOMBRE"));
                          tabla.addElement(fila);
                      fila = new Vector();
                         Vector nombreColumnas = new Vector();
                          nombreColumnas.addElement("Código Empresa");
                      nombreColumnas.addElement("Nombre o razón social");
                       modelo = new DefaultTableViewModel(tabla, nombreColumnas);

    Hi!  Since installing the new Reader software, I keep getting the same error message whenever I try to open =any= PDF, from those on my system for some time to those just downloaded.
    The error message says:
    Attempt to access invalid address

    Hi  Bruce,
    Are you using EMET Antivirus? I have seen the issue caused due to this. Try disabling it and  check.
    I have seen this issue fixed for some users by modifying the following registry key:
    The key is "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management" MoveImages
    Set the key to 1 instead of 0 then reboot the machine.
    In case you still face the issue try the following registry key change:
    The only thing you have to do is rename the following key at the REGEDIT, and everything will be fine !!
    BEFORE:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.exe
    AFTER:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\iexplore.old
    Note: Please take a backup of the registry before attempting this change.

    Hmm, "Use Adobe Reader" should launch the PDF outside of Firefox in the stand-alone Adobe Reader application, so seeing it in a tab is something of a puzzle.
    Could you check your version of Adobe Reader? For Windows 7, you normally would have the Reader XI series (Reader 11), which has had several updates. From inside Adobe Reader, you can use Help > Check for Updates to make sure it's current.
    In Firefox, could you check your Adobe Acrobat plugin version or possibly versions? You can view that on the Add-ons page. Either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
    In the left column, click Plugins. If you find multiple versions, this can cause problems and may need to be cleaned up manually (post back on that for suggestions).
    Sometimes, the settings file which stores those download handler preferences becomes corrupted and there's not much else to do than to rename or remove that file and let Firefox rebuild it.
    To do that, open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
    * (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
    * type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
    In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a new window (Windows Explorer window) listing various settings files.
    Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
    * (menu bar) File > Exit
    Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename '''mimeTypes.rdf''' to something like mimeTypes.old
    Start Firefox back up again and "PDF Files" should be back to their default setting of "Preview in Firefox". Try changing that to "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)" and test to see whether there's any improvement.

  • Open OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd with out setting AUTHENTICATION_TYPE = BYPA?

    Hi Experts,
    I would like to open OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd with out setting AUTHENTICATION_TYPE = BYPASS_NQS; Is this possible??
    UserID: Administrator
    Pwd: SADMIN
    Thanks in advance,
    DK

    Hi,
    Setting AUTHENTICATION_TYPE to BYPASS_NQS effectively disables password validation when opening the RPD with the Admin Tool.
    So with this you can login with any password you want (for instance to reset the Administrator password when you cannot remember it anymore).
    If you do not set AUTHENTICATION_TYPE to BYPASS_NQS, you are required to use the Administrator password. However, in 7.9.6.2 this has been changed from SADMIN to Admin123.
    Good luck!

  • The way to open 3D pdf with specific model selection from url link

    I guess this feature is not supported, but let me ask one thing.
    I am looking for the way to open 3D pdf with specific model selection from url link.
    For example, if the following link is opened, is it possoble to open 3d.pdf with automatic selection of "abc" model in the model tree?
    http://example.org/3d.pdf#model=abc
    If it can be done by javascript, it's really helpful.

    Impossible. There are only very limited command-line options for the Acrobat Family and you cannot change them.

    I have a requirement now that for some documents alone i should disable the print and save button in the toolbar of my AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF window.
    I need the rest of the buttons in the toolbar to be working.
    Can someone please tell me how to disable these buttons in my c# code. What property i hsould set to my AxAcroPDFLib.AxAcroPDF object to make this happen.
    Hoping to get an answer soon.
    Thanks and Regards,

    There is nothing you can do via the C# APIs to disable these buttons.

  • How to use OLE2 to call "Adobe" to open a PDF file and print it out

    I would like to print out PDF file when use click a button on the FORM. Anyone knows how to do it?

    I would like to know how to do it too; but I am still using Developer 6i.
    I have a bunch of PDF files and would like to print them inside of FORM.

  • [JS] [CS3] Saving to PDF with restricted printing "PRINT128LOWRESOLUTION"

    Hi All,
    This is my first JavaScript. Trying to create a script which will save the active illustrator document to PDF with the following:
    a) sets permission password
    b) restricts printing to "Low resolution" only.
    I was able to get the script to do everything, except restricting printing to "Low resolution". Though i have set it to low resolution (PDFPrintAllowedEnum.PRINT128LOWRESOLUTION), it seems, illustrator ignores this statement, and set it to "high resolution" (PRINT128HIGHRESOLUTION).
    See my code below:
    var curDoc = app.activeDocument;
    var destName = "~/Desktop/Testpassword1.pdf";
    saveFileToPDF(destName);
    function saveFileToPDF (dest) {
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    if ( app.documents.length > 0 ) {
    var saveName = new File ( dest );
    saveOpts = new PDFSaveOptions();
    saveOpts.requirePermissionPassword = true;
    saveOpts.permissionPassword = "test1";
    saveOpts.pDFAllowPrinting = PDFPrintAllowedEnum.PRINT128LOWRESOLUTION;
    doc.saveAs( saveName, saveOpts );
    Any advise will be much appreciated.

    Hi
    I see the same thing with Reader, seems they've chosen to restrict it in that fashion.
    Preview works ok, but sure, doesn't open some pdf's.

  • Opening up PDF in browser window automatically saves it to temp file

    Hi,
    In our application, we send pdfs to a popped open browser window for the user to access.
    One of the access features is a "Save" button on the pdf that will send an xfdf post of the form data back to the server. (we have the server url embedded in a form field an Acrobat JavaScript attached to a button does the "post").
    This usually works fine.  However, we have a few customers that complain the "Save" doesn't work.
    Turns out that the "Save" doesn't work because when the pdf is first loaded, it is being saved to a temporary file on the disk (and not held in the browser memory), so the authentication cookie of the browser session is now no longer retained with the "Saved As" copy of the pdf.  Thus, the pdf "Save" fails.
    So the question is, why does sometimes, the pdf automatically "save as" to the temporary directory, and usually it doesn't have this problem?
    We've seen this both with Acrobat Reader 8 and Acrobat Reader 9 (including the latest 9.3.).
    Thoughts?
    Thanks!

    Hi Bill and Dave,
    Thanks for the thoughts.
    I'm confident that this pdf is getting opened in IE (see attached screenshot from a customer).
    As far as additional clues...  I was banging on this on my machine (Windows 7, IE 8.0.7600.16385), and I did see it occur once.
    Thanks for the thought on the browser.  I'll query the problem customers about their IE version (the site only allows using IE).
    When it occurred, (later it dawned on me...but not at the time), the "plug-in" that opened appeared to be Acrobat Standard window (because in hind-sight, I realized that the "Save As" button was available).  The way I seemed to cause it (but cannot reproduce it now) was to change the "Documents/Save Settings/Every X minutes (to value of 1 minute)", and also the Security(Enhanced) to "Enable Enhanced Security" to "true".
    note:  I have both Acrobat 9 Standard, and Acrobat 9 Reader installed on this machine.
    When I went an reset those values to the original, it was still "stuck" in the "saving to temporary disk" mode (great because it reproduced the problem, but then I seemed to have my machine stuck in this mode).
    So I rebooted, and then the IE plug-in seems to now always run Acrobat Reader...and I had the problem no more.
    I have not yet been able to get this stuck in this mode again...
    Any thoughts would be appreciated!
    Kind regards,
    Andy

  • Opening a pdf with ai then having text problems.

    Hello people
    When i open a PDF document in ai i get a problem with the text. All paragraphs of text are no longer grouped, it is if i have used a type box for every single letter. The spacing is different also. is there a way to ensure that all text is grouped as it is in the PDF document when i open it in ai or is there a setting i am missing.
    Thanks i advance
    Phil
    PS
    Thanks to the 2 guys who helped me out before xmas with a gradient problem. you information was ace

    The "equality" between AI and PDF formats is a myth. What you are seeing is normal for PDF content.
    Generally speaking, you can think of a PDF file as your Illustrator (or whatever) file dumbed-down to simpler objects and "captured" midstream on its way to the printer.
    > is there a way to ensure that all text is grouped as it is in the PDF document when i open it in ai
    Yes. By turning on the Maintain Illustrator Editibility option when saving/exporting the PDF. What that really does is embed a full copy of the native Illustrator file inside the PDF. So the PDF file actually contains two complete versions of the content (and is therefore larger).
    If you use AI to open a PDF that does not contain that AI-native version (one saved from AI without that option turned on, or one saved by some other program), then it's normal to get the results you are experiencing.
    Adobe has done a masterful job of confusing its user base with its smoke-and-mirrors marketing of all this.
