Hello yes I am trying to play call of duty for PC and my internet is slow... 30Mbps,30Mbps.... I read up online that I need all my ports open to have my NAT type open....Sadly i dont know how do to this. Can anyone explain?

Put the machine in the DMZ
Logon to the router as admin
select firewall settings
select dmz host
check the dmz host ip address and enter the ip address of your gaming machine
say OK
Be aware that putting the machine in the DMZ exposes it completely.
So an alternative is to forward the ports
I belive they are 3074 for the game and 3658 for voice
logon to the router as admin
select firewall settings
select port forwarding
select new entry
specify the ip address of the machine
under protocols select user defined
give the app a name
select new server ports
select tcp for protocol
select source port any
select destination port single and 3074
say ok
repeat for the other port
You'd be better running wired than wireless.

I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/

How to open all ports on a Windows Server 2012 VM

Hi I am wanting to open a range of endpoints ports (approx 900) for my Windows Server 2012 VM on Azure. This is the range 54363 to 55263 how can i do this I know that azure has a limit of 150 endpoints. Can I open all ports instead?
Please any help with this would be appreciated

Opening specific ports for video

Hi!
I want to open some ports for one specific host on the inside network. I want the host to be able to call out to any host on the internet. What is the easiest way to do this?
I have many public IP adresses so the inside host can easily be Natted with one of the public adresses.

Do a one to one translation and open the right ports on the Outside ACL..

WRV200 Access Restriction on all ports for a time period?

I have a system that needs to be restricted to only having internet access for a small window each day. I have been looking at the Access Restriciton tools for htis but it looks like I would need to block each possible port with its own policy. This seems very inefficient and complex. Is there a way to make a rule that blocks ALL ports for a time period?

Under Firewall>Access Restriction when you are creating an Access Policy under Blocked Services you can select TCP, UDP, or IP. If you select IP it will block everything instead of a specific port. You will have to create a rule for each IP on your network that you do not wish to have access outside of your selected window.

Open same port for multiple servers.

I am sorry if this sounds rudimentary, but I wanted to make sure. I want to open up port 80 to more than one web server. I already have port 80 open on one public IP address and have another one ready to use for another server. My assumption is that I should just be able to create a policy using the additional IP address and use port 80 without any issues. Is that correct to assume? I would also like to know, how one would do this is they only had one public IP address. I believe these should be relatively easy questions for the experts here. Thanks.

If you have a netblock from which you can assign multiple IP addresses then, yes - just asign additional access-list entries and static NAT entries.
If you only had a single (or limited number all in use) public IP address then you would have to use some sort of PAT (port address translation). for instance:
server 0 is <outside address>:80
server 1 is <outside address>:81
server 2 is <outside address>:82
..etc. Your remote users would then have to specify the non-default port (80/81/82) when browsing to the site.

Problems opening up ports for E1200

I am trying to open ports 53, 80, 88, 1863 and 3074 for my xbox. I gone through several help pages on how to do this. I then run PFPortChecker by Portforward and it tells me the ports are not open.

I have given my computer a static IP - 192.168.1.50
I have given my xbox a static IP - 192.168.1.101
I have ensured my router has the most up-to-date firmware
I have entered all ports through the " Single Port Forwarding" screen on the web based interface

Kawai, I have set the open portson my router to:
Xbox_LIVE1 50 - 50 - Both 192.168.1.99
Xbox_LIVE1 80 - 80 - TCP - 192.168.1.99
Xbox_LIVE1 88 - 88 - UDP - 192.168.1.99
Xbox_LIVE1 1863 - 1863 - Both - 192.168.1.99
Xbox_LIVE1 3074 - 3074 - Both - 192.168.1.99
I aslo change the static IP address on my xbox to - 192.168.1.99.
When I run an internet test, I am now told my NAT is set to moderate. Using the link jibjib provided, I've determined my IP address is private (subnet of 255.255.255.0). Thus I need to bridge my modem.
Am I on the right track here?
So in the meantime, I have called my ISP (Knology) and found out they do not offer static IP addresses.
I'm now on the phone with a Cisco rep and she has offered to connect me to a "third party support provider". But I don't see how any of this can help since my ISP will not provide a static IP address.
Does anyone have any thoughts? Thank you again.

Block All Ports for a Host

We are using BM 3.9 (no SP1 yet).
I'm trying to block a Windows Media Player stream. If I put the URL that WMP uses into a deny rule, the BM log shows the html page is forbidden, yet the media still comes through.
So I tried blocking all ports on the host. I put in a Deny rule that blocks All TCP&UDP on both the IP address and the host name. Yet, when I type the URL into WMP, I still get the stream. How do I block this with BM?
Incidentally, after All ports didn't work, I tried specifying ports 0-65535. But I got an error that that was an invalid range. It did let me use 1-65535, though.

RealPlayer says I Need to Open a Port For Chat to Work, Am I doing it Right

I have live feeds for CBS's Big Brother. I'm trying to get on their Chat and I get a Java IOException error, cannot connect to server, etc.
RealPlayer is insisting I have to open port 21 and/or 6667 in my router (AEBS).
I entered 21, 6667 in all 4 port fields. Under Private IP address, I put my computer's number. Under "service". I didn't touch that.
Am I doing this right? Cuz it's still not working for me. I know other Leopard users are able to get into this chat and I think it has something to do with my AEBS. I even loaded the developer version of the latest Java to no avail.

Your firewall is off. That's good for now. Make sure that you Enable NAT Port Mapping Protocol in Internet/Internet Connections/NAT tab. Also, do you have a static IP on your machine? Or are you getting your IP via DHCP. This info is in the OS System preferences/Network/Advanced? tab. Then click on the TCP/IP settings.To get the ports forwarded correctly you'll need to set a static IP (manual) on your machine. But you'd think in all their wisdom that Real would have NAT enabled chat. Meaning, you should get out with DHCP and NAT enabled. No forwards needed.
Setting a static IP on your machine is relatively easy but affects other things on your network and you have to do a bit of planning to set it up.
In a nutshell:
Set up an IP address on your machine outside the scope of IP's being distributed by your router.
Map a port that resolves to that specific port.
I think you did it right above but didn't possibly have a static ip to resolve to.
Hopefully I am not confusing you with all this.

Trouble opening single port for two local IPs

I have multiple computers on my Airport network and want to open Port 6112 on a couple of them. I have been able to in previous versions of Airport Utility, but seem to be unable in this one (I haven't attempted to do this for about a year, so the current layout of port mapping could be a few versions old)
Basically I want to open port 6112 on the local IP adresses: 10.0.1.2 and 10.0.1.7
I have been unable as Airport Utility claims that the port mapping entry already exists. But really it exists only on one of the IP adresses, (10.0.1.7) and the other remains closed (10.0.1.2).
Anyone able to help me out?

You can only map any port to a single IP address.
To get to the 2nd IP address you will need to use a different public port. For example map public port 8112 (instead of 6112) to private port 6112 to your 2nd IP address.

Opening Firewall Ports for BitTorrent

I just got a shiny new Mac and installed the regular no-frills BitTorrent client. It downloads, but never at more than 1 KB/s. So I Googled around a bit and found instructions on how to open ports 6681-6999 on the firewall. I followed the instructions, and I do believe those ports are open, at least according to the System Preferences--rebooted and everything. But it has no effect on BitTorrent--it still says "Online, maybe firewalled" in the lower right corner and won't go above 1 KB/s.
I have an ethernet router, but it always worked fine with BitTorrent on my Windows computer, so I sincerely hope that is not the problem. (The only reason it's there is to give the long ethernet cable something to plug into, as the apartment came with a ridiculously short ethernet cable sticking out of the wall.)
Does anyone know what I can do to get BitTorrent working?

The first 3 numbers were the same as the router and the last number was unique. When I let it set its own IP address, it is 3, and I figure the other computer I have, which is not currently on or plugged in to anything, is probably 2.
The changes I made in the router settings don't seem to have stuck. A friend recommended I use Azureus instead of the basic BitTorrent client, and it keeps telling me "UPnP: Lost connection to service WANIPConnection on UPnP device '192.168.11.1'" and ditto WANPPPConnection. Eventually, though, it stopped complaining about being firewalled. So far it hasn't picked up much speed, but I'm hoping that's just the usual phenomenon of my upload speed being slow as I have nothing to upload yet.
Also, when I later tried to log in to the router without changing the IP address, it worked. (So the problem where it wouldn't let me log in unless I used the same IP address as before solved itself.)
I think my problem may be solved, but I'm gonna give it a while to make sure.

Open ports for all in LAN

Hi, a few days ago I bought a wireless router WRT160n. I want to ask how to open some port for all in LAN(3 clients). For example all in LAN have PeerToPeer application for torrents. I want to open port for example 20202 for all. Now I open port from menu Applications & Gaming->Single Port Forwarding, but I must set port for each user IP address.
Can somebody tell me how to open port for all in LAN without to config for each computer?

Hi gv. I read more about UPnP and the WRT160n User Guide. In section Administration>managment int wrote that UPnP is Enabled by default in my router it is corect. I Setup mu PeerToPeer(eMule) TCP/UDP ports to 20202 and check option "Use UPnP to setup ports". I test and close this port on my router configuration for my computer on "Single Port Forwarding", but in eMule the port is still block. Can you explain why it did not work. For UPnP it says that if Enable it allow users with Windows ME and XP automatically to gonfigure Router ports

How to Open Ports for HP Printers for all computers within the network (router)

I have the EA6700 router and a few HP printers and Multi purpose printers/scanner/fax ...
When installing the print drivers, they are ok. Sending to printers are not a problem. However, the problem comes with scanning.
The HP Software ask to open a port for it... How do I do that? I checked, it seems other computers are affected by it too after changing to this new router.
I read that it can be done on the "App and gaming" section at the Security page. Do I go to the port forwarding section? But it only forward to one computer. that doesn't work...
I'd like to open a port and a lot of other IPs can print and scan from it.

Ports are not needed to be opened on the LAN side of the router for Printers and Scanners. I recommed that tiy contact hp for help and information regarding setup and configuration of those devices. Also the addition of a external Gb network switch for these devices is recommended as well. Would help eliminate any un-necessary router configuration or processing.
