Open an Infopath form without infopath

A customer is sending a infopath form to my office only some of the people are able to open the form, none of us have infopath.
the form was written in InfoPath 2010, the users using windows 7 with MS Office 2007 are able to open the form. The users windows 7 and Office 2013 are not able to open the form. the problem is the users with office 2013 are the ones that need
to open the form. How do I get the form to open without having InfoPath?

What error are they encountering?
If you have SharePoint Enterprise, you can use Infopath Form Services, which lets you open Infopath in the browser on a SharePoint site.

I understand that you want to refresh the InfoPath form without closing it in SharePoint.
I recommend to edit the form and add a Update Form button which is used to refreshes all data in the form.
You can set the Update Form button action by adding a button control to the form, and then going to the
Properties for the button control. The Update Form button action is located in the
Action drop-down list box on the Button Properties dialog box.

I need the following scenario:
I have a Sharepoint library with items created by Infopath (form A).
I developed another form (form B) that will query items created by form A.
The form B will be in a static "webpart" page navigation (Sharepoint). One of these fields returned by the query library that manages the items created is the URL responsible to load the item data . I would like to parameterize the URL into form B.
So that when the user clicks on it, the form A with their respective data in a modal is returned (which may be a native modal Sharepoint)

Opening system forms without menu

Hi All,
Does there exist code to open a system form, like the Production Order, without activating the menu item that calls it? For example, I would like to open a production order form with a given instance? The reason for this is that I need to open the form and then load it with a specific production order. Because it is possible for there to be any number of production order forms open simultaneously at any given time, I need to know the exact form I had just opened in order to load it.
Is this possible?

Hi Mike,
it's possible, I guess.
But you have to the actual operation of opening form and finding production order by addon.
You can use 'activate menuitem' clause, first.
then you should enter the number of the production order which you want to open to the order number field in number field. (you can do it via handling UI items.) then use the 'click' method of the item number "1". it's generally possible. I did it sometimes.

Open personal form WITHOUT menuclicked

I need to open a (sub)form when I push a button on my (main)form. You can open this easy using
B1Connections.theAppl.ActivateMenuItem("AONE_SUBTOTALEN")
but then you need to add a menuitem in your mainmenu.
Is there a way you can open a subform without this menuitem or can you make this menuitem invisible?

Hi Joerie,
If it is a system form you can just call the ActivateMenuItem code, but if it's one of your own forms, you can load the form from XML and it will be displayed without needing a menu item.

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that when you are running approval workflow and opening the Excel file, then it will occur the error above.
For a better troubleshooting, I suggest you can try to create a new normal excel file and then run the workflow and open the file to test if it works. It will help to figure out if this is the file itself issue or the SharePoint issue.
Also, please provide some more detailed information such as screen capture, it will easier to find the root cause of the issue.

Getting Error While Opening the Oracle Form 6i in 10g

Hi All ,
FRM-10102: Cannot attach PL/SQL library XXX. This library attachment will be lost if the module is saved.
I am getting above error message while opening Oracle 6i Form in 10g.
I get the following Alert message when I try to attach the library to my form -
Attached library name
S:\.........xxx.pll contains non-portable directory specification. Remove path? Yes/No?
If I select 'No', the Form compiles and runs without any error.
But if I select 'Yes', I get the following error message:
FRM-40039: Cannot attach library xxx while opening form.
All files (fmb, fmx, pll, plx) are on the same path. I detached and then re-attached the library but this didn't work for me?

use the shiped batch program frmplsqlconv.bat to convert all your forms/librarys from Forms 6i to 10g.
you can call it in wizard mode from the start menu (e.g. OracleDeveloperSuite <OraHome> => Forms Developer => Forms Migration Assistant (GUI Mode) and follow the instructions step by step
or you can call it by batch to convert all your forms/librarys. The batch file is found in
<ORA10g_HOME>BIN\frmplsqlconv.bat
=>
frmplsqlconv.bat <formname>

Can not open PLLs on Forms Builder 10g

Hi Folks,
everytime I try to open an existing PLL-File via the Forms Builder FileOpen-Dialog I have got the message
    PDE-PLI018 Couln not find library
    Drive:\Path\LibName.pll
Pressing the OK-Button returns to the FileOpen-Dialog. The selected FileType in the Dialog take effect to the filelist but nothing else.
Note that the file exists and I select it from the Filelist!

PS: I can recompile forms with attached libraries if the PLX-Files (6i) are available, but the forms will not work with these PLX-Files.

I tried to generate a new library. This works fine until I saved it. After naming the library and pressing the save button in the dialog the pll file was created and the same error message appears.
I closed form builder and tried to reopen the library: same error.
I generated another new library and save this by selecting the first new I generated. Jippee! I get the message that the file already exists! I selected "overwrite" and the file was overwritten. After that the same error appears.
How can I (re)open PLL files? It is no solution to generate a new library overwriting the old one everytime some changes should made.
Trying to build the library (Ctrl+T) produces another error:
    FRM-91507: Internal Error: Unable to generate library.
Compiling (Ctrl-Shift-K) works fine.

there's no user except of me on the pc and server (I'm working via rdp-client on a virtual server), no server and no oc4j task or instance started. The one and only program that runs is forms builder. The error occurs if I just try to open a pll file via the file open dialog of forms builder.
With my admins we found that forms builder creates a (temporary) file (e.g. s22o without extension with 827392 bytes) in c:\ but only if I'm the actual user. After I'm getting the permission to create and update files on c:\ forms builder was able to open pll files. Now we're trying to find out why this accurs only on my login. With other users we tried these file was created on F:\ which is the personal drive of the user. I'm only wondering about the fact that temporary files were not created in the TEMP folder defined by the TMP or TEMP environment variable.
So we solved this unusual problem in an unusual way.

Urgent: Problem opening a data form that uses a smart list

Hi, we've got a problem with a data form that is quite unusual.
The data form was working perfectly until yesterday when we put a smart list in it. The smart list is composed of 8 possible choices activated by the following member formula:

Initially we tested the functioning of every different choice in the smart list and it was working properly. After a while we tried again to change the choices combination and we couldn't open the data form due to an error.
It is quite strange because sometimes it work and sometimes it doesn't. In the data form (that is very large) there are many accounts and scenarios that are dynamic calc, in addition to the smart list formula; we tried to open the form two minutes ago converting the data storage type of a scenario from "Dynamic calc" into "Dynamic calc and Store", and it seems to work at the moment... does planning have a memory limit? Can someone suggest a solution (or help us find out the reason)?

Opening the same form more then one time in the same session

H! I want to accomplish the following .... I have a form that has a button. The code in the when-buttin-pressed trigger is a call_form - to open another form. I want to be able to push this button as many times as the user may want and the form should keep opening a new form. Meaning I can have 10 forms of the second form open if I want. The user basically wants to be able to flip between the data on the same form opening up this form a couple of times in different windows. when I use the call form the button on the initial form is becoming disabled - not allowing me to push it again to open another form without closing the one already open. Please HELP!

Sounds like you need Run_product rather than Call_form.
It will establish multiple database sessions, and the user will be responsible for terminating them. And I am not sure, but this may only be possible in client/server forms.

Japanese font package being required for form without Japanese

I created a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro using (as far as I know) all English characters. I saved the form and am now trying to open it on another computer that has Acrobat Reader X. The error message I'm receiving is "A font package is required to correctly display this page. Click OK to direct your browser to download the add-on from adobe.com...." The font package that it wants me to load is Japanese. Once I load that font pack, the form opens without any problems.
I'm not the only one having this problem, others who are trying to open the form are experiencing the same difficulty.
So, why does Reader think my form contains Japanese fonts, and how do I get rid of them so others can open the form without having to install a font package?

Forcing end user to open the child form in the resource request dataset

Is there any way where we can force end user to open the child form of a resource request dataset and enter the values for the attributes in the child form. The child form attribute is mandatory. However, currently, OIM allows user to submit the request without opening the child form and to enter values for child form attributes(which is mandatory).

Child dataset attributes are set to required="true". But it will come into picture only if end user opens the child form. If he forgets to open the child form, still he is able to submit request without entering values to the attibutes(whose required=true) in the child form. OIM is alowing to submit request if he doesn't open the child form.

I downloaded the trail version but when I open the desktop icon after I've downloaded and restarted I get the following error message.
It reads " The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) Click OK to close application."

Well crap! Internet explorer goes direct to actual pdf, would'nt you know it, safari wont! I will have to change my pdf order form to include instructions on how to find that toggle thing at the bottom so it wont wig out safari users.
Kind of *****, if people dont know they have to click the open in preview choice, my form wont work.
Thought maybe it was an HTML issue that could be overidden.

I would like to open approval RecurringPosting Form - type : 680, It's the form that opens from RecurringPosting form(670) when clicking on "Aprroval list" button.
"approval RecurringPosting" does'nt have a menu item so I can't find it's menuid and can't use ActivateMenuItem.
How can I find it's menuid? does all system forms have one?
If he does'nt is there any other way to do it?
What I am trying to achieve is to somehow refire the formload event of that form, Is there any other way to do it without closing and opening the form?

You would need to invoke this window by first opening up the RecurringPosting form(670) and then from there on you would have to invoke the window( 680) by cinvoking the press button event for the button "Aprroval list"
