Open and close the chart

Hi All,
I am developing a dashboard that has drill down. Below is the scenario.
Clicking on a push button should open a chart 1 with a a close button and hide chart 1 and clicking on chart 2 should open chart 3 with close button and hide chart 2 with a close button.
closing chart 3 must bring me  back to Chart 2. Close on Chart 2 brings me back to Chart 1
i am new to BO. Has anyone done this before. Please share ideas.
Thank You

Hi,
You can achieve this using Lable based menu component and with chart also.Based on the selection of the label based menu,the charts can be displayed.Take Label Based menu Source Data as B6:B8 and Destination as B5.Now take Chart1 Dynamic visibility Status (under Behaviour Tab)as B5 with Key 1 similarly for chart 2 Dynamic Visibility status Cell as B5 with Key as 2 and for chart 3 also Dynamic Visibility status as B5 cell with Key as 3.Make the Label based Menu Behaviour Tab-->Selected Item-->Type is Label and Item is Label 1 to select the by default as first chart

    Since installing LTR 5.4, which I've now upgraded to 5.6, I've encountered repeated slowness and malfunctions in operations, especially when using the Compare View function and the Tab key to open and close the right and left side panels.  Such problems never arose during two years of using LTR-4 and nothing else has changed on my computer.  I have a pretty simple system with only a few plug-ins, which are usually not in operation.  I have 12GB of RAM in my Windows 7 PC.  I could illustrate these problems with screen shots if you would tell me how to submit screen shots.  Otherwise I will try to describe the problems in words.
    The problem is clearly cumulative, growing worse as usage time passes.  Compare View feature gradually slows down and eventually seems to choke as my work session proceeds. If I Exit LTR and re-enter and start all over, things will work normally for maybe 30 minutes, but then the Compare View feature begins to become very slow to respond.   In a recent example with my screen full of thumbnails in Library mode I highlighted two images to compare. LTR started to open the Compare View screen by first having the top row of thumbnails disappear to be replaced by the "SELECT" and "CANDIDATE" words in their spaces  (but no images), but Compare View never succeeded in gaining control of the screen. After some seconds the top row of thumbnails reasserted its position and the Compare View windows disappeared. But LTR kept trying to bring them back. Again the top row of thumbnails would go away, Select and candidate would reappear, try again, and give up. This went on for at least 2-3 minutes before I tried to choose File and Exit, but even that did not initially want to respond. It doesn't like to accept other commands when it's trying to open Compare View. Finally it allowed me to exit.
    To experiment I created a new catalog of 1100 images.  After 30-40 minutes, the Compare View function began to operate very slowly. With left and right side panels visible and two thumbnails highlighted, hitting Compare View can take half a minute before the two mid-size  images open in their respective SELECT and CANDIDATE windows. When the side panels are open and two images are in the Select/Candidate spaces, hitting the Tab button to close the side panels produces a very delayed response--25-30 seconds to close them, a few more seconds to enlarge the two images to full size. To reverse the process (i.e., to recall the two side panels), hitting Tab would make the two sides of the screen go black for up to a minute, with no words visible. Eventually the info fields in the panels would open up.
    I also created a new user account and imported a folder of 160 images. After half an hour Compare View began mis-placing data.  (I have a screen shot to show this.)  CANDIDATE appears on the left side of SELECT, whereas it should be on the right. The accompanying camera exposure data appears almost entirely to the left of the mid-screen dividing line. Although the Candidate and Select headings were transposed, the image exposure data was not, but the data for the image on the right was almost entirely to the left of the line dividing the screen in two.
    Gurus in The Lightroom Forum have examined Task Manager data showing Processes running and Performance indicators and they see nothing wrong.  I could also send screen shots of this data.
    At this point, the only way I can process my images is to work 30-40 minutes and then shut down everything, exit, and re-start LTR.  This is not normal.  I hope you can find the cause, and then the solution.  If you would like to see my screen shots, tell me how to submit them.

    If you are using for loop the you don't need to open and close the cursor like:
    SQL> set autot off
    SQL> begin
      2     for i in (select ename, deptno, sal from emp)
      3     loop
      4             for j in (select dname from dept where deptno = i.deptno)
      5             loop
      6             dbms_output.put_line ('Ename:' || i.Ename ||'  Dept Name:'|| j.dname);
      7             end loop;

    I recently migrated my MacBook from 10.5.8 to 10.6.8, using the Snow Leopard CD I purchased from Apple. Since then I have noticed a strange ozone smell coming from the MacBook in the area where the hinges are to open and close the unit. I was told by Apple that it probably is not serious and is coming from the fans in the MacBook. It is true that the smell/odor is more intense when the fans are working. Apple said I should take the MacBook to an Apple Store to have the hardware checked out. Everything seems to be working correctly. I am backing up automatically wirelessly to a Time Capsule, which I had not done until recently, although I had purchased the Time Capsule in 2009. I have not noticed this odor before. Does anyone suspect something more serious that may be going on?

    You may be smelling it because with the new OS the processor is having to work harder causing it to get hotter then it would with the other OS.  I can't say there is nothing wrong, but what could be happening is just that, it's getting hotter so the fan is spinning faster and moving more air so you are getting more of the smell then you would before.  I would still continue to back it up, and take it to the Apple Store at a Genius Bar and have them look at it to make sure.  Was the computer ever in a smoky environment??

  • I can't close the Numbers spreadsheet anymore, nor navigate on it. I can open and close the App Numbers though. What can I do?

    Hi! I was playing around with my iPad and was opening and closing different Apps. Suddently the file I opened in Numbers got stuck. I can't navigate on it anymore, neither can I go back to the other Numbers files.
    Could you please advise, what I can do here.
    Thanks!

    Quit Numbers completely and restart the iPad.
    Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit Numbers by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on the Numbers icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad.
    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Then try Numbers again.

  • Is there an advanced action that will open and close the TOC?

    I like that in CP5, Adobe has allowed users to change the icon associated with opening and closing a layered Table of Contents.  With that said, unfortunately, they show up so small, I can't see what I created.  So, I was wondering, is there an advanced action or action script that I could assign to a button that will allow my users to open/close the TOC?
    Thoughts?
    Eric

    The code that zcarr posted works fine for me. I have been using it for a long time: http://www.cpguru.com/2010/01/14/tutorial-open-close-the-adobe-captivate-toc-from-your-own -button/
    However - it depends on where you use the code. If you use it in an SWF embedded/inserted into your Captivate project then it will work. If you use the code from a Flash shell that loads a Captivate SWF then it wouldn't work since the paths to the functions would be all wrong. The same goes if you use it in a play bar since again the paths would be wrong. The code is still valid though so all that would need to be changed would be the paths to the functions.
    Also the posted code and my link is AS2 code so it wouldn't work in Captivate 5. I'm sure that the above code could be convereted to AS3 but it would require a little "hack" in order to get to the right level of the Captivate SWF so the paths would work. It would probably be easier to build a small widget that would accomplish this if it's for AS3 projects.

  • I open I file and do not open and close the app

    I have a power point file I open in my Ipad, and when I try it the app closes as its loading, no display error or message,
    Is there a maximum file size to open in Ipad?

    I don't think there is an "official" maximum file size to be able to use on the iPad, but I can tell you from personal experience that Excel files that are 6 or 7 MB in size have crashed my iPad original version. If all other PowerPoint files have opened successfully for you, the file may be too large - or the file could be corrupt as well.

  • What is the better way to open and close connection in bean

    Hello, may i ask about the best way to open and close the connection?
    At the first, the connection code is store in Conn class bean. The JSP page will call a method in Process bean to process the query and update of database. the Process bean is using th Conn to connect to database.
    In my process bean, it have a method for each type of sql like select, insert, update, and delete for each tables. Each method will call the Conn to open and close the connection. The jsp page can simply call a method retrieve or update records.
    However, when calling the processUpdate method, it is a method that update a group of tables base on the query result of another group of tables and calculation. If I calling the query method in the same bean file, it will open and close the connection many times (more than 1000 times). After open and close the connection several times, the connection to mySQL will be fail.
    Currently, i include 2 method in Process that is only calling the Conn to open the connection and close connection. When calling the openConnection method, it will also set the boolean connected in the class to true and call Conn to open connection. When calling the closeConnection method, it will also set the boolean connected in the class to false and call Conn to close connection.
    After that, i add some change to the query method which is when the connected is false, it will open the connection by calling the Conn and close the connection themself. If the connected is true, it will not call the Conn to open and close the connection because it already connected to the database.
    Now, i when i calling the query method in jsp, it can open the connection and close the connection individually. When i call the processUpdate in the jsp, this method will calling the openConnection before calling the query and calling closeConnection at the end. It not only faster the process(less open and close), it also no cause the connect to mySQL fail error again. However, it also make the coding in the bean file more longer and complex.
    Is there have any better solution?

    Use connection pooling. This will put the connection management in the hands of the webserver, not your code. Check out this post:

    This was happening with FF 3 before upgrading to 4, and was not happening with FF4.0 until the 4.0.1 update was applied, the first time it ran. Same issue on another computer running FF3, so may be a extension related problem.
    If I have three windows open and close the third, I do Not get this. Only when two are opened and one is closed. I could have three, close one, then the second and get the prompt.

    There is no FaceTime app for the iPhone if that's what you're asking.  FaceTime is accessible through your Contacts as one of the options in how to contact a person -- there is no standalone FaceTime app for iPhone.

  • Open and Close Front Panel of SubVI

    Hi all,
    Running LabVIEW 2011 on Windows 7 x64.  I am trying to get a subVI front panel to open from my main FP with the press of a button and then close with a button press in the subVI.  Here is the piece from my main FP that calls the VI and opens the FP
    Plots is defined in another loop and all of the loops are in a flat sequence.  I did it this way because I want it to start with the first press and not stop my main loop from running.  I have moved the item in the left loop around a lot so I'm not sure if I can run that in the same loop as the event or not.  Either way opening the VI seems to work fine.
    The problem shows up when trying to close the subVI for the SECOND time.  The code is here:
    As I said, the first time I open and close the VI everything works as I expect it should.  I am then able to open it again but now the "blank button" doesn't function and I can't close the window or even open the block diagram to probe anything.  I have been trying to figure this out for awhile, any insite would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks

  • Open and Close Shelf Effect

    Relative newb to Flash and not sure what the issue is but I have a shelf opening and closing effect  The timeline is 45 frames long and when the shelf is out it has this AS3 code in it:
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    stop();
    ShelfOpen,addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, closeShelf);
    function closeShelf(evt:MouseEvent){
    gotoAndPlay(17);
    Once clicked, the shelf closes and only a sliver of the shelf appears.   The person can re-open it by clicking the sliver at frame 30 using this code:
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    stop();
    ShelfOpen,addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, openShelf);
    function openShelf(evt:MouseEvent){
    gotoAndPlay(31);
    In the last frame (45) I have the code:
    gotoAndStop(16)
    which should return the shelf to its open position and allow the user to close it again if they click in the shelf, but it seems to be listening at at frame 30 and just running the Open Shelf motion again.  I would just like the user to be able to open and close the shelf as they like.  Any help would be apprecaited.
    -DC

    See if removing the event lsteners in the event handlers helps, as in...
    ShelfOpen.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, closeShelf);
    function closeShelf(evt:MouseEvent){
       ShelfOpen.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, closeShelf);
       gotoAndPlay(17);
    (similarly for the other)
    and make sure you are not using commas after ShelfOPen like you did in the code you posted.

  • [bdb bug]repeatly open and close db may cause memory leak

    my test code is very simple :
    char *filename = "xxx.db";
    char *dbname = "xxx";
    for( ; ;)
    DB *dbp;
    DB_TXN *txnp;
    db_create(&dbp,dbenvp, 0);
    dbenvp->txn_begin(dbenvp, NULL, &txnp, 0);
    ret = dbp->open(dbp, txnp, filename, dbname, DB_BTREE, DB_CREATE, 0);
    if(ret != 0)
    printf("failed to open db:%s\n",db_strerror(ret));
    return 0;
    txnp->commit(txnp, 0);
    dbp->close(dbp, DB_NOSYNC);
    I try to run my test program for a long time opening and closing db repeatly, then use the PS command and find the RSS is increasing slowly:
    ps -va
    PID TTY STAT TIME MAJFL TRS DRS RSS %MEM COMMAND
    1986 pts/0 S 0:00 466 588 4999 980 0.3 -bash
    2615 pts/0 R 0:01 588 2 5141 2500 0.9 ./test
    after a few minutes:

    1986 pts/0 S 0:00 473 588 4999 976 0.3 -bash
    2615 pts/0 R 30:02 689 2 156561 117892 46.2 ./test
    I had read bdb's source code before, so i tried to debug it for about a week and found something like a bug:
    If open a db with both filename and dbname, bdb will open a db handle for master db and a db handle for subdb,
    both of the two handle will get an fileid by a internal api called __dbreg_get_id, however, just the subdb's id will be
    return to bdb's log region by calling __dbreg_pop_id. It leads to a id leak if I tried to open and close the db
    repeatly, as a result, __dbreg_add_dbentry will call realloc repeatly to enlarge the dbentry area, this seens to be
    the reason for RSS increasing.
    Is it not a BUG?
    sorry for my pool english :)

    I have tested my program using Oracle Berkeley DB release 4.8.26 and 4.7.25 in redhat 9.0 (Kernel 2.4.20-8smp on an i686) and AIX Version 5.
    The problem is easy to be reproduced by calling the open method of db handle with both filename and dbname being specified and calling the close method.
    My program is very simple:
    #include <stdlib.h>
    #include <stdio.h>
    #include <sys/time.h>
    #include "db.h"
    int main(int argc, char * argv[])
    int ret, count;
    DB_ENV *dbenvp;
    char * filename = "test.dbf";
    char * dbname = "test";
    db_env_create(&dbenvp, 0);
    dbenvp->open(dbenvp, "/home/bdb/code/test/env",DB_CREATE|DB_INIT_LOCK|DB_INIT_LOG|DB_INIT_TXN|DB_INIT_MPOOL, 0);
    for(count = 0 ; count < 10000000 ; count++)
    DB *dbp;
    DB_TXN *txnp;
    db_create(&dbp,dbenvp, 0);
    dbenvp->txn_begin(dbenvp, NULL, &txnp, 0);
    ret = dbp->open(dbp, txnp, filename, dbname, DB_BTREE, DB_CREATE, 0);
    if(ret != 0)
    printf("failed to open db:%s\n",db_strerror(ret));
    return 0;
    txnp->commit(txnp, 0);
    dbp->close(dbp, DB_NOSYNC);
    dbenvp->close(dbenvp, 0);
    return 0;
    DB_CONFIG is like below:
    set_cachesize 0 20000 0
    set_flags db_auto_commit
    set_flags db_txn_nosync
    set_flags db_log_inmemory
    set_lk_detect db_lock_minlocks
