Open as Administrator in Nautilus

Hello,
Maybe today I can be a contributor...
I noticed that since Gnome3, I can no longer right click inside Nautilus and get the menu item "Open as Administrator". I googled and found this post:

It seems that problem followed along in this version. I copied the libnautilus-gksu.so file from extensions-2.0 to extensions-3.0 and now after restarting Nautilus, my menu item is back.

Error opening Consolidation Administration/HFM App

We are receiving the following error trying to open Consolidation Administration or any of our HFM apps that were previously working just fine.
Any suggestions regarding the possible cause? We did re-boot the HFM app servers, and have re-started foundation services on our EPM servers with no success.

SuPhp and Open Directory Administration

Hello,
I am trying to install suPhp and mod_suphp working on OS X Server 10.6.7
Everything seemed to compile and install just fine, but am getting an error in the apache log:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'suPHP::LookupException'
My guess is that suPhp cannot find the user ID in /etc/passwd because OS X Server is using Open Directory Administration
My searches have not turned up anything.

Problems while trying to open OBI Administration Tool

Hi everybody,
I’m getting an error while trying to open the OBI Administration Tool. I performed properly the installation with the client installer, and then created the ODBC connection to the OBI Server, which is hosted in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (64 bits).
The error I’m getting is the next one:

This is an error that seems to have appeared previously on the forum, but unfortunately I didn’t find any fixing solution. I found posts speaking about cleaning the boot and reinstalling the Visual C++ running components, but they don’t work (at least in my case).
Any idea?

I have one more question. I need to migrate the database from US7ASCII to UTF8.
For this I ran csscan for user "TEST" as well as against full database.
Below log is the csscan output against full database. but my application is depended on TEST schema only. Shall I need to migrate SYS objects data as shown below or it's not required?. If required how to migrate these objects data?

Error when opening User Administration

Hi Gurus,
I want to create the JCo Connections, and when trying to open the WebDynPro from Content Administration it gives an error
"You do not have the needed permissions to start the Web Dynpro Content Administrator. Please contact your System Administrator."
Wanted to add the user by which I was accessing Portal to Admin group, but when accessing User Administration-> Identity Management it gives an error
"The Web Dynpro Application 'PageBuilder' has expired. Restart the application using the Refresh button or via the following link PageBuilder."
Any suggestions appreciated and points will be rewarded.

Double click on ur webdynpro application.Go to application properties tab.create new application property,select predefined property->browse->it will open a popup->select expiration time->give the value for expiration time.

Firefox will only allow me to look at my bookmarks when I open the app using open as administrator. Why and how can I fix this?

I can open my tools, bookmarks ect. only if I open the Firefox app using the run as administrator. Why and how can I fix this?

On the profile folder in windows you can right click on the folder and uncheck the "run as an administrator"

SSM 10 - Error opening PAS Administrator

Hi experts,
I'm currently trying to configure a machine with SSM 10, but after I install the Application Server and the Supporting files, when I try to open the PAS Administrator using the "admin" user I get the following error:

PASADMIN.DLL failed to load with return code 14001
LSSIDQL.DLL failed to load with retunr code 2
The OS of the server is Windows Server 2003 Standard x64 Edition SP2 and the PAS is: Version 10.0.0 Ref: 11109 04-19-2011 18:22:13.
I already try to install a PAS client in a Windows XP using the same exe file (xSSMSrv00_0-20007941.exe) and I get the same error, so probably is not an error with the OS but something else (corrupted setup file???).

Hi Bob,
I try to download the MS Visual C++ Runtime that you refer, but even after I install that the problem still occurs (probably I did not download the correct file!!!).
So what I did it was to install first PAS 7.5 SP7 and in the first part of the installation process, the Visual C++ is installed:

And for what I test, the 7.5 SP9 don't do that, that's why I used SP7.
After that, I just update that installation to SSM10 and now PAS 10 is working:

Setting portlet admin preferences without opening its administration page

In ALUI 6.5 , I would like to have a link inside a portlet, clciking which opens a pop-up window. Providing data and clicking save in the popup should save the data in portlet admin preferences and close the popup. Is there any way to achieve this?
We are able to set admin preferences for a portlet only from the Portlet Administration page which opens up on clicking the pencil icon in the title bar of the portlet. Clicking Edit button in the portlet administration page opens up the popup where data can be entered and saved in the admin preferences. We are looking for a way to be able to set the admin preferences without actually having to go to the portlet administration page.

Just to clarify, you want to click a link in the portlet to open the admin pref's instead of clicking the pencil?
To do that: grab the link URL from your web service: Advanced URL Settings: Remote Configuration Settings: Administration Configuration URL and then put it into your portlet.
If you want to have the admin preference code within the portlet I'm pretty sure you can just open up the the code that the admin configuration URL is pointing to and copy it into your portlet code and that should do the trick also.

Why won't firefox open without administrative check?

Every time I try and open firefox, a prompt box opens asking me if I want to let firefox make changes to my harddrive. How do I make this stop? How can I make it so that I don't need to verify every time?

Check that you do not run Firefox as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
In the Compatibility tab, make sure that Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" is not selected.
You also need to check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program directory.

Open directory administrator's password to manage

i have a mac os x server 10.4 with Open Directory.
Now I want to add some new users and some new Computer to my domain. When I login into Open Directory I enable to see the tree of my ldap domain but I unable to add new user or computer.
Why this problem? I see the user that there are. I have just try to login and unlock the Open directory with some other user, but i can't solve. I can't see enable the bottom for "add user" and the "add computer".
can you help me?

Having said that I have to ask the obvious. If you want to add/delete/amend - amongst other things - users to the /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 node you have to click the lock on the right hand side and authenticate using the Directory Administrator (diradmin) account name and password. Once you've done that you should be able to work within that node.

I tried to open my router administration page. After entering username and password, Firefox keeps asking me for that.
Tried to open the same page in Microsoft Internet Explorer and it worked.

Opening Repository Administrator Utility (RAU)

I have Designer9i installed. When I open RAU (either from Start menu or the Designer Tool Palette) the "Oracle/2000 Repository Migration Wizard" opens.
But, there is no repository from an earlier product release to be migrated. This is a new development project -- as is our repository. What I need is to perform management operations; backup, new user definition and access.
Canceling Repository Migration Wizard does not open the RAU...
How can I circumvent this Migration Wizard and make available the RAU maintenance functions I need?

Can't open the administrator desktop

Hi,
My battery has started playing up and hence I first spoke to apple store agent for a new one and he advised me to firs speak to the tech support. On speaking to tech support apple has agreed to replace my battery for free. But just as I was rejoicing with this news , my computer shut down which it used to do when disconnected off its power supply after 20-25 mins. But reopening was always perfect once u connect the powersource and sign in again.But this time when I sign in as my account- admin acc, it doesn't get any icons on my desktop and Macintosh HD comes after a while but no icons.The desktop is infinitly slow taking minutes to highlight dock. Can't access my academic files.However other user acounts are perfect and I can open them with their passports surf net via airport etc. So this is primarily an acc problem.

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...

Then let it do all 5 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 5 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files!

ITunes 7 opens as"administrator" but doesn't open as "user"

What could be causing this problem ?
I have uninstalled and re-installed itunes 7 numerous times as "administrator" but it hasn't corrected the problem yet.
