Open_Basedir I need to turn it off.

I need to turn off open_basedir for my php setup, and have added open_basedir = none to both my php.ini file and my httpd.conf file, and yet open_basedir is still set to on.
Any ideas of how to set open_basedir to none?

It might help if someone coudl tell me if there is more than one PHP.ini file that is standard, or if open_basedir can be turned off somewhere else for the entire server?

Screen cracked, Need to turn phone off completely.

If youv'e ever called them they should have it on file. If you haven't call your carrier first and tell them that you need imessage turned off but don't have the imei number for the old iphone and ask if they still have it. Once you get it you can call apple and give them that number or have your carrier just route you straight to them.

Need to turn bluetooth off after sleep so that apple mouse is 'seen' again

i have an apple bluetooth mightymouse bluetooth. after my macbook pro goes to sleep, i need to turn bluetooth off then on again on the MBP so that the bt mouse is seen again. if i don't do that, the mbp never reconnects with the mouse. any hints?
I have set off the 'allow bt devices to wake up computer from sleep' to save battery life on the mbp.

I use a Kensington PilotMouse Bluetooth and it looses it's connection from the MBP because the mouse turns off to prolong battery life. When I return the computer from sleep, I have to click the mouse buttons a few times... and wait up to 10 seconds, but it eventually reconnects once the laser on the mouse turns back on. Have you tried this?

I need to turn fileVault off, and don't have the space

upset now,
I freeed up a ton of space on my hard drive,
before installing/ turning on the FileVault,
and I asking an senior advisor,
would turning on File Vault take up an of my GB space, and she said no,
and I turned it on, it took 2.5 hours to do,
and when it got done,
I Can't it turned off becasue it's now telling me that I don't have enough GB space to turn it off,
and I don't enough space,
I need 134 GB of space do this task,
I have taken it to the Apple Store at the Mall here in Atlanta,
and no one were able to get it.
I'm so frustrated,
how can I force this thing off, and give me back my space,
and I don't have an external hard drive,
why did this happend aftern being told one thing by the senior advisor.

I finally got it off,
I called IT Support
and this guy saw where it had doubled the size during the encryption, and showed me how to go in and delete,
and I was able to finally turn it off,
although it took 3 hours to do so.
but worth it.
so never will I again listen to anyone about that,
I'm done with the encryption of my machine.
I wasted a trip going to the Apple Store,

Need to Turn it OFF the Notification used by the AIA Common Error Handler.

Hi All,
My requirement is to turn it off the Notifcation send by the AIA common Error Handler, when the error occurs in the AIA ecosystem.
Error Handling framework given by AIA does the Notification and Logging feature. In my case I need only the logging, but not the Notification. Notification has to be turned off for a time and has to be turned on when it is required.
1) I can acheive this by removeing the email account file (ie. ns_email.xml) from the server directory and can be replaced at the time when required,but this needs the restart of the Server.
Any Idea how to turn it off the notification and turn it on when required ?

Is there any way to turn it off the Notification, because if we retire the ReadJMSNotification Service all the error message are stayed in the Topic and we have to manually drain the message from topic.
And one more thing is how the error messages are published to that AIA.AIA_Error_Topic.

Need to turn Wifi off then on again to get a connection

Hi, guys! Long story short: Why do I need to turn off the Wifi and turn it back on again to get a connection?
I noticed that when I first switch on Wifi, it says I'm connected but the Airport symbol doesn't appear (therefore I'm not really connected). But when I turn off my Wifi and switch it back on again, the logo appears and all is well. I think others are experiencing the same problem too. Is there a way to resolve this? Thanks for your time.

Many of us have this issue. CHeck the threads already on this forum for similar complaints. No resolution at this time. Hopefully new software will fix the issue. Keep your fingers crossed.

Need To Turn iPod Off???????

Is it necessary to move your iPod to the "Off" position when it is not in use??
I am asking because all the iPod cases that clip to your waist do not provide access to the "Off", "Play in Order", or "Shuffle Songs" button. Surely it is not necessary to take the iPod in and out of the case every time you use it.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!

I only turn my Shuffle OFF when it occasionally needs resetting or I'm charging it with the USB Power Adapter. Otherwise I just PAUSE it. After an hour or so the Shuffle puts itself to sleep and battery drain is minimized.

Got water on my Macbook Pro's trackpad, do I need to turn it off for it to dry?

I know that there're tons of topics on this, I read everything but still I'm not sure what to do..
About 24hs ago I spilled a tiny bit of water on my trackpad while using it with wet hands (without noticing) and now the cursor's acting unresponsive, jumping around arbitrarily on the screen and clicking stuff by itself. I shut it down for about 12hs before using it again, the trackpad worked fine for about 2min and then started acting all funny again. I read on other forums that usually the it starts working again once it dried, but my question is if for it to dry I need to keep the Macbook shut down or can I keep using it with an external mouse? I really need it for work and I don't have another computer. Thank you very much!

I would definetly not use it....shut it down. Hopefully you haven't fried it.
If you have a removable battery, take it out and leave the back of your Mac open. I would then flatten out the screen and keyboard and turn it upside down, keyboard and trackpad on a towel. I would even put a fan blowing on it. Then every other day flip it over and blow the fan on the other side. I would not power it back on for at least a week and a half....maybe two.
It takes forever to dry out a MacBookPro. If you can let it dry longer then 2 weeks.

Second, Apple's own blurbs, which you linked to as references, call the batteries Lithium-ion Polymer batteries. These go under any number of different names, and I simply chose a convenient abbreviation instead of referring to them as LiPo, or whatever other name you chose to use. I know very well that they use LiPo batteries in the iPad and also know why but, aside from answering questions not asked, I don't know why you're pointing this out.
In the meantime, what I originally said remains true and in accordance with the recommendations of Apple and most other users of this battery type. I can't think of anything useful to add beyond that.

Have two ipod touch in same house attached to same email. Need to turn it off because both receiving messages and downloads of apps purchased

We have two new ipod touch 4th generation. We do not want icloud as both ipod touches are attached to same email and both kids are getting each other's messages and apps. Please help.

I am having similar problems I believe the devices are specific to the initial itunes account that they are set up on. The only thing I can think of is to set each one up with its' own account. Apple devices seem to need to have dedicated itunes accounts. Sharing of accounts between devices doesn;t seem to work.
Maybe someone else has a better solution?

Sounds like Firefox is "hanging at exit". That problem is frequently caused by an Extension or a Plugin. Read all of the following articles.
