Hi,
Please install the adobe life cysle designer at your front end. It is a pre-requisite to use the adobe forms in sap.
Once installed, your problem will be solved.
For the details regarding the adobe life cycle designer, please refer the below link:

  • Problem opening Form based PDF via Safari browser with Adobe Reader 9.3 on MAC

    Hi,
I'm mentioning below the problem that we are facing when we open a form based PDF created using a licensed version of Adobe Livecycle Designer ES (Version 8.2.1.4029.1.523496) on a MAC machine through a Safari Browser.
We tested this PDF form on a windows machine and the PDF opens in an IE browser via the latest Adobe reader 9.3 without any problem. I then received complaints by our clients that they were unable to open the same PDF on their Safari browser on a MAC machine, I tried to resolve the problem by downloading the latest version of Adobe Reader 9.3 for MAC but noticed that the Safari browser window would just keep refreshing the page without displaying the PDF at all. I then uninstalled the Adobe Reader 9.3 version and downloaded and installed an older version i.e., Abobe Reader 8.2 version for MAC and noticed that the PDF document successfully opened in the Safari browser. My question is why does a form based PDF work with an older version of Adobe Reader for MAC and not with the latest version? Our clients are not comfortable with the fact that we are refraining them from upgrading to the latest version of Adobe Reader for MAC and that they would have to downgrade their existing Adobe Reader 9.3 to a lower version Adobe Reader 8.2 in order for the PDF forms to work when it should be the other way around.
Is there any fix or a patch that is currently being worked on that would resolve this issue in the latest Adobe Reader for MAC? If yes then when would it be ready? This issue is quite critical for our business and would appreciate it if this would be looked into with high priority.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sheikh Huraiz Ahmed.

That suggestion makes sense and likely works, but only if the user is on a machine that will allow them to use Reader. I'm sending this out to a lot of teachers, who are using machines either at school, or are school-issued machines, and they don't have the admin privileges to install software-- even Reader.
so my problem is, if they are stuck on a machine without Reader, and without the possibility of having Reader... it's just not going to work because Preview can't handle these functions.
And, since that is not an acceptable answer with what I'm trying to do... I will find another way to create/submit forms. I think there are some online possibilities I will have to make work.
    very, very disappointing and frustrating.

  • How do i get fdf data to open in my pdf form

I created a fillable pdf form for one of my employers to fill in terminated employees then email back to me. I have two or three problems. First, when i receive the email back I have the fdf attachment with the form, when I try to open it, I get a message about "trusting the form" I've always selected "always trust this form' as it comes from the same person each time but Acrobat Pro X doesn't save my selection to trust. Next problem, I also get a message that I need to browse and find a pdf form to open for the fdf data to display. Why doesn't the most recent opened form for the fdf data appear in my most recent documents list?
If anyone can help I sure would appreciate it, it's very annoying to have to go through these steps everytime I get a form back.
    Mike

The FDF would normally have a reference to the form from which it was exported, usually with a specific path. Because it can't be found on your system, you're prompted to locate a form to import the FDF into. If you open the blank form that is on your system separately, it should appear in the most recent list.
So I'd suggest this workflow instead:
    1. Download and save the FDF from the email.
    2. Open the blank form.
    3. Import the FDF into the blank form.

  • When opening in filled PDF form, the data flashes and then blanks.  Adobe  Reader XI

When opening in filled PDF form, the data flashes and then blanks.  Adobe  Reader XI
I filled in this form with important data.  And saved it.  I have since opened it and printed it again.  Now when I open it the fields become blank  I can see them for a split second as it clears them.
I believe I have updated to Reader XI since I filled it in.

    Hi Pat,
Are you using Adobe Reader XI? And not Acrobat. It does not ask me to save the form if there are unsaved changes.
I have used previous versions of reader for saving this form data and it did allow me to save it with ctrl+s. And those versions did prompt me to save the changes before closing.
I guess I should not have updated the reader.

  • I have ADOBE X reader installed in my systems. When I wanted to open an online pdf form, Mozilla puts up a error message and the form does not open.

When I try to open a online pdf form, I get a error message to close the reader and try it again. Sometimes, the message does not come but what I see is just a BLACK screen in Mozilla.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

I created a pdf form and then imported it to Forms Central for distribute. It is now loaded to my website and setup so a person clicks on the link to open the form. At this point they then have to go to upper right to open form using a different view. I would like the form to open directly in Adobe Reader form to make it easier to enter information. Thanks, Ike

If you created it in Forms Central, you have to edit it there. I believe Forms Central is similar to LiveCycle Designer in that the form created is no longer able to be edited in Acrobat. I might be wrong, but that is my understanding. You add the submit button in Forms Central. Within Acrobat, you should be able to go to the forms menu and Manage Data to save the data to an Excel file. Others better with forms should be by to clarify things, but this should get you started. In the future you might find it better to post a forms question in the forms discussions.

    Few things to be checked
Firstly check whether the Travel Expense form is aatched to the feature from SPRO.
Secondly check the Work flow task id is there in the UWL - XML file and if it is missing then add the piece of code in the XML file by copying other action type and include the WF Task Id there and re-register the XML file and check it.
Also make sure that propoer travel management related authorization is there for the manager.

  • How to open-up a pdf file to a particular page via java? (file and page number from another program)

I have created an Access 2003 Form. Data is entered. The data can be viewed once entered in the same form format, with one addition. The addition is a link to another program where we store files. The files stored are pdf documents. Each document is a scanned file (500+ pages). The link can open-up the pdf file. I want the link to open-up the pdf file to a particular page. I will supply the page number from the database.
I am aware of Adobe Acrobat 7.0 PDF Open Parameters using a URL that specifies the file to be opened plus actions to be performed once the file is openend (i.e. http://example.org/doc.pdf#page=3). However, the 3rd party program transfers a file from a server to the client via java. The file does not go via a web browser. The java code transfer the file directly from the file server to the the client.
Any idea how to accomplish the task of viewing a particular page with the process flow described?
I am using Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional.

So you are reading this file in a standalone version of Acrobat? If so then use the PDF Open Parameters /a option via the command line.
    Sabian
    Example:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Acrobat>Acrobat.exe /A "zoom=1000=OpenActions" "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Acrobat\SimpleSubmit.pdf"
    Where:
    Path to Acrobat: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Acrobat>Acrobat.exe
Note: The example starts in the Acrobat application directory
    Switch: /A
    Parameter Syntax: "zoom=1000=OpenActions"
    Path to file: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Acrobat\SimpleSubmit.pdf"
Note: The quotes are very important for the syntax to work appropriately.

  • Unable to collect form in PDF form

    Hello,
I have created a fillable form using Live Cycle Designer. But when it comes to collecting the form data, after receiving the data in XML (as an email attachment), I am unable to open it as PDF. I have tried changing the default program to open xml files to Adobe Live Cycle Designer, but the program prompts me a window called "File Import Options". The file type by default in this window is "XForms Document".  When I click ok, it gives me a "main error 47" with a long list of runtime errors.
Is there a way I can set this up when creating and saving the form?
    I greatly appreciate your feedback.

    Hi  Paul,
Thank  you for your reply. Where  do I go to access the post submit event in order  to add the message? What kind of button do I select?
I   like idea of sending the user back to our  website by using xfa.host.gotoURL("address   you want to goto").  I found the script editor and added that script to the button (regular). My question is, what do I select on Show?  Initialize, Enter, Exit, Calculate or Validate?
Please  forgive my ignorance : ) Thank  you.

  • Opening a response PDF in Acrobat Reader 9 or 10

I am very new to LC ES3.  I just created a fillable form and distributed it and when I tested the Submit button I did get the responses in my response folder, but after trying to open it in Adobe Reader 9 and X it did not automatically check for new responses, nor is there the ability to check for responses once you have opened the response folder.  However, opening it in Acrobat Pro X it automatically checks for updates and I see the new responses in the response folder.  This seems to tell me that the user who has Reader 9 would not have the ability to automatically check for responses.  Is there a way to allow this for Reader 9 users, or am I missing something.
    Thanks!
    mike

It will be from a client-side application, and I will be reviewing this further and get back on it. At this time my assembly isn't the correct type of 32-bit, which may be a deal-breaker. But downgrading it to 32-bit, I wasn't able to find or include the appropriate library for AXAcroPDF.
Just a word about my trying to read the SDK documentation. The documentation folder has 5 items, a folder called "Javascript", an html file caled "Acrobat_11_SDK_Help_Shortcut.html", a zip file called "...HTMLHelp.zip," pdf_reference.pdf, and U3DElements.pdf. I've never heard of U3DElements, so surely that isn't meant for me. The pdf_reference.pdf, when opened, has three PDF links to two supplements to ISO 32000-1 and a document titled Document management. These describe the PDF spec, so that's not for me. So I must have to use the HTML documentation shortcut. I open it, and my browser says the redirect URL can't be found. Ah, may be that stuff in the ZIP file it's referencing. After unzipping it, you have to move the file around so that it actually references the right index.html inside the unzipped folders, and then even after this it loads up as two blank frames in my browser. I will look into why the links are all dead, but holy lord, this is just not very helpful at all.
Thanks for your help, Test Screen Name.

The user's assertion is surprising to me, but perhaps I'm missing something important. I thought the correct position was from the conclusion of my earlier post "it can't be done". Adobe state their Reader Touch doesn't support XFA (http://blogs.adobe.com/readermobile/2012/12/13/adobe-reader-for-windows-8-tablets/). Unless (see that blog entry) you changed the type of form.

I can open a regular PDF, even though it's a larger file than the dynamic PDF. I'm trying to open the dynamic IEP and ETR files from this site: Ohio Required and Optional Forms | Ohio Department of Education. Can anyone else? Is it the site? Can anyone open it on an iPad using iOS8? I *just* bought this iPad to WORK on, and can't!!! I've tried to open both files in Evernote, Google Drive, and Dropbox. Still no joy. Please help me!!

Unfortunately no. Not for iOS at any rate. You would need to use a different machine.
That is the fault of the folks that made these forms. It's documented that this isn't an acceptable workflow and suggested that if they want to target people using tablets (iPad or Android), they need to be rendered as HTML mobile forms.

  • Unable to open password protected PDF in safari

Dear all, I'm new in using iPhone safari. I have problem in opening password protected PDF file from safari. Do you have any solution or workaround to resolve this problem
    Regards
    BR

You can put pretty much any character into the encryption password for a PDF file apart from control codes (carriage returns, backspaces, etc), but whether the vendor's website can is another matter!
As you seem to have a PDF with a user password that isn't what you expected, there's nothing you can do to remove it other than perhaps trying a version without the quote characters, or with a backslash in front of the quote (it's possible they escaped the string on the login form in preparation for storing it in a database, and forgot to unescape it again).
