Open forms-builder without source

Hello all,
I use Forms6i with patch16 for WinXP. Now I have the problem, that if I double-click my source (test.fmb) in the windows-explorer, then the forms-builder is open, but not my source. Instead the standard "MODULE1" is open.
Another problem I have with the FMX, here can I double-click and nothing it's happens.
What's wrong on my PC? Can anybody help me?
Thanks.
Regards
Sandra Koenig

Edit "File Type" "Open" action and add " %1" after command.
Or
"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\ifbld60.exe\shell\Open\command" - (Default)="C:\orant\bin\ifbld60.exe %1"

  • Can not open Form Builder

    Hi Friends!
I am using Form 6i (Client) and Oracle 8.1.7. I have been using these for the past 2,3 months. Now suddenly I got a problem with my Forms Builder. I can not open the Form Builder. It's opening but can't maximize. It is not even showing any error message also. I tried many ways by installing the latest Java jre file and also restarting my pc many times, but still cannot open the Form Builder. I have no back up copy of Forms6i so I can't reinstall.
Can anyone help me, what I should do now?
    Thanks

Are you using Windows NT? I have had problems in NT with disaparing windows, windows which was started outside of monitor range, or windows which only could be maximized from right-clicking on then in Windows toolbar (bottom of the screen). Mostly I'd to try to move the application using the cursor keys.
A new version of Forms6i is found here:

LucaI'm not clear what you are asking, but I got that you don't know how to open a date entry template, so I'm assuming you are talking about Publisher.
Try Publisher Explorer, that will give you access to all the DETs you have.

    Hi,
    Host file entry i have:
    127.0.0.1 localhost raouf.oracle.com
    169.254.25.129 raouf.oracle.com
123.201.70.57 raouf.oracle.comWhy do you have two entries for the same host? Please edit this file, and make sure you have one IP Address for "raouf.oracle.com", run AutoConfig on the database/application tier nodes then try again.

  • 10g Forms Builder with error "cannot attach library" opening R12 fmb file

    Hi all,
I had set up my Forms Builder with all the necessary PLL and FMB files for developing R12 custom forms. I have used the builder to do few custom PLLs and one custom form, and I did not have any problem opening seeded Oracle Forms. Today when I need to enhance that custom form I did 2 weeks ago and I opened Forms Builder, I got the error "Cannot attach library.." for APPCORE, APPDAYPK, etc.. Same error for opening TEMPLATE.fmb.
I have done these to troubleshoot:
    1) I verified my Windows XP registry "FORMS_PATH" to include the folder where I store all the PLLs and FMBs.
    2) I updated default.env to include that file path.
    3) I create shortcut to Forms Builder and put folder path with PLLs under the "Start in" field of the shortcut.
    4) I rebooted my machine after changing the registry
    5) I moved the folder with PLLs to under C:; I seperate PLL to "resource" sub-folder and FMB to forms/US/ sub-folder just like the server structure.
    6) I install one more copy of Developer 10G Suite and set up the registry.
None of these work and the key is it used to work with no issue. Any suggestions what may be the problems?
    Thanks!
    Mike.

Turned out I reloaded all the $AU_TOP forms and PLLs to my desktop and it worked fine. I think I did not FTP correctly the first time.

  • Background canvas's colour in Forms Builder

In dev 10g, exists a environment variable(registry), where is it possible to set canvas color?
    I'll try to explain better:
When you use Layout Wizard: Canvas Page on which you whis lay out your datablock's item,
background is gray for default, I wish set other colour when I create(Builder), not in runtime.
I didn't success to found any info!
    Thanks in adavance

    background is gray for default
when u open Form builder the default canvas colour is gray as you said earlier
but when u try to open an existing form, Form builders display the actual colour of the canvas set in properties of canvas!
Lets suppose i have a form whos background colour later modufied by me and i set it to Cyan as per ma requirement.
    [as per your scenario]
Now if i reopen the form, Form builder applied the default colour so a developer getting confused what the actual colour a canvas had?

  • Unable to run Oracle Form Builder from Designer 10g

I am using Windows XP with Oracle Designer 9.0.4.5. From Design Editor, I select Run -> Oracle Forms, nothing happen. I am able to open Form Builder manually (C:\ORACLE\904\bin\ifbld90.exe). After I generated a module (form) from Designer, I have to open the FMB manually from Form Builder. In Designer 9i, I am able to open Form Builder from Designer. Is this a bug for Designer 10g?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Thanks for the response, Suresh,
I believe this is an installation/configuration issue.
I installed Oracle Developer Suite 9.0.4, which includes Form Builder, Report Builder, and Designer. System Path contains the ORACLE_HOME (c:\oracle\904\bin). I am able to start Form Builder from DOS command (ifbld90.exe). I am also able to start Report Builder (rwbuilder.exe) and Designer (des2k61.exe) from DOS. I am able to Run Oracle Report Builder from Designer, but just not Form Builder. I also checked the Windows registry settings and they seem alright to me.
    thanks,
    Jim

  • How to access database module when i use forms builder 9.02

    hello all:
    i'm migration forms 6i application to 9ias r2.
My application use a module saved in database and it was referenced by all other forms ,when i use forms builder 9.02,i can't access it .Online help hint :
    open form builder,select edit--preference--access tab,select ask,but i can't find it .Who can help me ?

Forms modules in the database are not supported in 9i - you will have to extract the module in 6i to the file system and adjust the reference before upgrading the form.
See the following document on OTN for useful information when upgrading.

  • KEY CAPTURING IN FORM BUILDER

DOES ANY BODY KNOWS HOW TO CAPTURE KEYS
IN ORACLE FORM BUILDER..SO THAT WE CAN USE OUR OWN HOT KEYS TO ACCESS DIFFERENT OBJECTS LIKE TAB PAGES THROUGH HOT KEYS.
IF ANY BODY KNOWS THE PROCEDURE PLEASE TELL ME IN DETAIL
    THANX

Please don't use all capitals ... that is 'shouting' and is not liked by participants as it is harder to read.
To answer your question, open forms builder, go to any block, select an item and on the property palette, under functional, click on Access Key - press F1 for help - its all there. I don't know about TABs.
