Open GL Photoshop CC 2014

I'm unable to open 3D files in Photoshop even though I have a brand new iMac, Retina 5K, 32Gigs Ram, 4Gigs Vram (AMD Radeon R9 M295X).
Keep getting an error that 'open GL' needs to be turned on, which it is and all memory allocations are maxed out.
Adobe tried helping, remotely looked at my computer, and couldn't figure it out. What's confusing is I'm able to open 3ds files in Photoshop CS5, but it won't open in Photoshop CC 2014.
Anybody else having this problem, really not sure what to do if Adobe couldn't assist.

This may help you. It could be you need to go into AMD's Control Panel. You would need to set Photoshop there.

The problem is that we specialize in Photoshop, but beyond that it's hard. We don't know what in your system is blocking 3D, but your graphics control panel is the best guess.
It may help to visit AMD's Catalyst support if you are not sure how to set that up.
These Graphics Control Panels load at bootup and can easily block settings and trap keys. The Graphics Panels are important in that if there is already an onboard graphics processor like Intel, it can force the 3D capable card to take over to prevent Photoshop from crashing on the Intel drivers.

If I say "OPEN WITH Photoshop CC 2014", or if I drag the file directly to CC 2014 in the Dock it will open in CC. Since I like to double-click or hit return in the bridge, I am constantly having to wait until the file opens in CS6, quit CS6 an then open it another way to get it into Photoshop CC 2014. I tried to disable CS6 by hiding it, but then double-clicking Bridge did nothing. Any ideas why this is happening?

Check and adjust the File Type Associations in the bridge cc preferences.

Image not being opened in Photoshop cc 2014 from Lightroom

I am using the latest lightroom and photoshop. When I go to an image in lightroom and right click, select edit in Photoshop cc 2014, it opens Photoshop straight away but it does not pass the image along... Any suggestions?

I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. It takes several minutes now to load an image from Lightroom into PS CC 2014. PS CC 2014 is already open. I just noticed a pattern. SUCCESS!!! Upon further investigation and seeing issues from other members regarding RAW cache issues I decided to move my RAW cache file path in LR to a different drive. That seemed to fix the last issue. I think the drive I had selected is going bad. So the reinstall fixed my integration issues between LR and PS CC 2014 (thanks to everybody who suggested that) and changing my RAW cache file path seems to have fixed the last of my performance issues. Now to reinstall my plugins and get back to editing my clients' images!

Color Swatch changes when opened in Photoshop CC 2014

I'm not sure if anyone else has encountered this, here is the scenario:
I create a CMYK color swatch in Kuler and save the swatch, download it as a .ase file, and then load the swatch in Photoshop CC 2014.
When the swatch is loaded all of the colors are lighter than the colors in my kuler swatch.
The below image shows the top kuler swatch, and the colors that were imported once loaded in Photoshop.

That's because color management is different in Kuler and PS. The good news is that Kuler Panel is now available for PS 2014 at https://creative.adobe.com/addons/products/2507
You can directly set active color from this panel or include the whole theme into the swatches panel without change in appearance.

Libraries will not open in Photoshop CC 2014 saying it is not properly signed?

4 days ago everything was fine , then when I went to use my librarie it said it could not load as it was not signed properly....... I do not know what that means so I cannot problem solve it myself.

I uninstalled creative cloud and the software - however when I was trying to get into Adobe to download again I was getting re-directed to the error page. I changed browsers and got onto the adobe site downloaded the creative cloud and installed 2014 again and it all worked. I booted up this morning and everything seems to be ok.. So, I downloaded and installed creative cloud, and i installed photoshop, but when i click it, absolutely nothing happends, and i have tried many suggestions but nothing happends at all. So please help!

I did resolve my issue by re-installing Portraiture 2.1. The latest version 2.3 would not run for me as I am still using CS3. I suspect that when you originally ran the trial version, you, too, were running 2.1. Contact Ani at [email protected] for assistance. I hope this is helpful.

Can't Open ACR files from Bridge in Photoshop CC 2014

I Can't Open ACR files from Bridge in Photoshop CC 2014. I have uninstalled the programs, and all other versions of PS several times, but no matter what I do, I can't open a raw file I have opened in Bridge, in PS CC 2014. I have to click Open in Photoshop CC 2014 in Bridge.
Also, on my workstation PC (Win 7 64bit), if I don't open PS prior to opening Bridge, then when I try to open a file from bridge it says it can't run PS on an earlier Operating system than Win 7!
I have done exactly the same instalation on my notebook, same OS, and everything works perfectly - I just don't understand.

Guys! This question was asked almost two months ago, and still no-one has replied? I'm still stuck, no matter what I have tried, I cannot find a solution. And please don't ask me to re-install AGAIN, I've done this several times and it simply does not work.

Default open jpg to photoshop cc 2014 in win 8.1

Why dont beta testers find things like this. in windows 8.1, you can not change the default program for jpg, jpeg or gif to photoshop cc 2014 in default settings it always defaults to photoshop cc 64bit instead. Tif and Tiff however can be switched to default open to Photoshop cc 2014 without incident. Even though I direct the jpg and gif families to photoshop cc 2014, it is always set to photoshop cc 64bit.

That should work, but rather than using the control panel open a Windows Explorer window and right-click on a file with the extension you want to open in Photoshop. Then select the and select the Open With option and if Photoshop CC 2014 is available in the list click it. If it's not there, select Choose Default Program and in the new window that appears choose More Options at the bottom of the window and then Look For Another App On This Computer from the bottom of the window again. Then you can navigate directly to the Photoshop CC 2014 install folder and manually select the Photoshop.exe file from there. That should then set Photoshop CC 2014 as the default program.
If this still doesn't work, then you'll have to see about getting help from Microsoft's forums as it's really an issue with Windows and not Photoshop.

Photoshop cc 2014 opens but will not open pictures sent from Lightroom 5.5

when i make adjustments in Lightroom 5.5 then want to open in Photoshop cc 2014 through the edit in function, photoshop opens up but doesn't open the picture.

How to force Photoshop CC 2014 to open files?

When I double click on .jpg, .jpeg, and .psd files, Photoshop 6 opens, not Photoshop CC 2014.
I have Got Info on these files and changed the Open With option to PS CC 2014 and click the Change All box. This always re-sets to PS 6, and will not stick.
Today I downloaded the Default Apps preference pane and tried changing options there, as well. The items always go back to PS 6.
Is there any way to force PS CC 2014 to always open these apps, short of trashing PS 6?

Do you really mean Photoshop 6 or Photoshop CS6? (Not that this should make a difference for the issue at hand.)
What is your OS version?
Have you tried trouble-shooting it (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, …)?

Photoshop CC 2014 closes when start up for a few seconds

Hi,
When I try to open the Photoshop CC 2014. It will close after it has started up for a few seconds without any error message dialog in the Photoshop or error log in Event Viewer.
I have just subscribed for the package Photoshop & Light Room combo yesterday and tried to install the Photoshop CC 2014.
I have already tried to figure it out for at least 10 hrs in 2 days by searching all the solutions to this kind of problems and tried every means I could do, but nothing really works.
What I have already tried are as follows:
1. Un-install the ps cc 2014 with clear preference option and re-install it again with Creative Cloud application, but no luck.
2. Update Nvidia graphic driver, which it has already been up-to-date, no luck. I even update the windows using window update center, but still get the same problem.
3. Use Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner tool after un-install the program. The cleaner tool works fine with successful message and no error message in the log file. Then, I try installing the ps again, but no luck again.
4. Use the License Update Service tool, but no luck.
5. Delete the opm.db and lunch the Photoshop again, but no luck, same problem.
***6. Rename the folder SLStore to SLStore_old. Open the program and it will ask me to license the software by signing in with my adobe account, it "works" only for the first time. However, once I close the application and open it again, same problem occurs, the program just closes right after I open it again. Now, I have to rename the folder every time I want to use the Photoshop.
(By the way, this problem happen the same for the LR and now I have to re-name the SLStore folder every time I want to use the LR as well)
It seems to me that I have some kind of the license problem, but I cannot understand why? and how to fix this?
I am using Window 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 on my VAIO laptop.
The specifications are Intel(R) Core i7 CPU [email protected], 6.0GB of RAM. The GPU is NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 425M.
I really need to use the program and that is why I decide to purchase for the package, please help resolve this.

I did it and it works for me So, I think I should share this so people who have faced the same issue as I can give it a try.
Basically, Just uninstall the Photoshop and Creative Cloud, then rename the folder SLCache to SLCache_old. Restart your computer once and then re-install everything again. (CC and PS)

Trying to open Adobe Bridge from Photoshop CC 2014 will launch Creative Cloud

As written in the subject, I have the problem that Bridge doesn't start anymore since updating to Photoshop CC 2014.
Instead the creative Cloud desktop application is launched and tries to reinstall Bridge CC (although it is already installed)
All old Bridge version were uninstalled without result.

I have the same issue when trying to Browse in Bridge from Photoshop CC 2014. When I click "Browse in Bridge" in Photoshop CC 2014, the Creative Cloud desktop client window opens up and asks "Are you sure you want to install this version of Bridge"?
Like you, I also thought it was an update so I clicked' "Yes, install this version" option.
Bridge will launch from the dock icon I have set up, but not from within Photoshop CC 2014.
Any solutions to this bug anyone?
