Open hidden page in Design View

I have hidden a page in my form and I need to edit
it but cannot access the page in the Design View.
What is the best way to make the page visible for editing?
     Thanks n

Highlight the page in the Hierarchy view then on the object palette change the presence to visible ....then you will be able to edit it.

  • MUSE 2014 crashes when trying to open a page in 'Design View'

I get this error message when I try to open an existing page in Design View.
The page tries to open, displays part of the page, then stalls, then crashes.

Still trying to use MUSE 2014, after launching the program I can open two pages from the Plan view, when attempting to open a third I got this message:
I am running Windows 7 64 bit operating system with an Intel Core i5 CPU with 8gb of RAM.

  • How to add addtitional pages in design view?

How do I create additional pages in design view?  I have tried using NEW PAGE AFTER, but that doesnt add another page in design view, like I need.
I am creating a report that uses 8 subreports per page to dynamically create labels.  Currently I have a report header, and am using the page header to arrange the subreports so the top of each subreport prints on the top of each label.  The fields in the subreports can grow, and fill in the label from the top down.
I need to create a multiple pages using this format, but I dont know how to add more pages in design view.  Essentially I need subreports 1-8 on page 1, 9-16 on page 2, etc.  I would like to preserve the formatting I have created thus far, but I can always change it if I have to.

In attempting to create the label sheets I needed, I ended up creating 14 separate reports (which report on 6 individual queries), because there are 14 pages worth of labels that need to be created.  What I wish to accomplish is to condense these 14 reports down to 6 reports.  One for each query.  What I absolutely cant find a way to do, is to get Crystal Reports to allow me to customize subreports on consecutive pages.  Again, I have 8 subreports on each page, which have been formatted to fit on 8 labels when printed.  Each subreport is identical in design, but has a different range selected (i.e. my driving value in each subreport has been modified with Select Expert to be between 1 and 5, or 6 and 10, or 11 and 15).  This is how I have been able to return 5 consecutive results on each label, with the next label returning the following 5 results.
My ultimate question:  Is it possible to create a multi-page report using this method?

Hi everyone, I am new to these forums and new to dreamweaver,
I have a problem which I have no idea how to fix.
I have been using the program (in my limited ability) saved

I am using DW MX 2004. I have imported a new clients site and

  • Cannot view body of page in Design View with PHP

Hello, I hope some one can help me. I have a website that I
am working that I am unable to view the body of the page in Design
mode. This is a php file. I can preview the page fine by pressing
F12, so it appears PHP is installed and my test server is working
fine. Also my manager is able to view the body fine, so it appears
that only I am affected. Both of us are using Dreamweaver CS3. Is
there some setting on my local copy of Dreamweaver that I can
change to make the page appear?

    This is a php file.
If the body of the page doesn't display in Design view, it
    means that
your include files contain html, head, and body tags. Include
    files
should contain only the code that you want included at that
    point. So,
inc_header.php should contain only the div or other code that
    displays
the header - and NOTHING ELSE. The same goes for
    inc_footer.php.
When the page and the include files are combined, they should
    have one
DOCTYPE declaration, one html tag, one head, and one body.
    Think of them
as pieces of a jigsaw. On their own, each element is
    incomplete, but
together they make a complete picture with nothing left over.

  • Spry UI 1.7 slideshow images cascade down page in design view

When I put in the Spry slideshow all the images go down the page in bullets.  It works fine in the browsers, so it is no problem.  But... it is SO annoying because I am trying to finish off the page and do some stuff under this slideshow but i can see there.  So it has messed me all up because I am not good at just hand coding the website... I have to do a little of both...  Others have kind of suggested to just live with it... but I just cant

The only reliable view in DW is the Live View. Design view is OK for very simple layouts and documents. As soon as it becomes more complicated, then you cannot rely on design view.
And even though Live View can give a better picture of what you are doing, you must always check your design in all of the target browsers.

  • I have dreamweaver cs6, How to open .inc file in design view?

    Hello
I changed mmdocumetsTypes.xml file, I removed .inc from code view in the preference. But still I cant open .inc in design view. Can someone help me in this matter?

    Hi,
    and this?
    http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/change-add-recognized-file-extensions.html
esp. "Edit in Code View preference
The final step is to check the File Types / Editors preference settings (Edit > Preferences) and make sure that this file extension is not listed in the Open In Code View field. By default, the INC file extension appears on this list. Remove ".inc" from the Open in Code View list and files with this extension should now be viewable in Design view."

  • Cant view whole page in design view

Hello, I recenty ran into a proble in DW8 that I cant solve.
I went to open up one of my pages to update it within
dreamweaver and when I did all I saw was a table on the left side.
The body of the page was missing (just a grey background). All code
appears there including the stuff that is within the body that I
cant access or see. If I click on a line in the split view I should
see where that line is in the design portion of the split view.
Unfortunately I do not, all I see a huge cursor blinking where the
entire body should be (now grey).
What happend, how can I fix this? The web site is Ferttek.com
and the page that is goofed up in DW is the contacts page, also
called index-4.html. I have attached the entire code from that page
    if that helps.

  • Design View - Slow

    Greetings,
I am running XP SP2, fully patched. Intel Core Duo with 2 GB
    Ram.
I am running Dreamweaver MX ver 6.1 (ran updater to go from 6
    to 6.1).
What I have noticed is that as I add to and modify a page,
    Dreamweaver slows down.
Also, there is not a lot of pics on the page, but there are
quite a few links. It gets to
a point where it takes a minute or so to open the page in
    design view. Click to insert
and type something and it takes 10 to 15 seconds to show up.
    The page really is
quite unremarkable and I have tried several things to fix it.
I tried copying the contents to
another file, but the other file has the same problem. I have
    this problem on another website
I handle and its on a recipe page. No photo's but lots of
    links.
This is driving me nuts, and I would appreciate any ideas
    (No, purchasing the newest
version of Dreamweaver is not an option right now).
BTW, open the file in code view and it is quite snappy.
    thanks in advance.

    Darryl,
Much better. Not only does it load faster in DW, but it loads
    faster in
    the browser, too!
There is still a lot of unnecessary whitespace in the file.
    If the page
is too big to apply source formatting to the whole thing, you
    can select
sections and "Apply Source Formatting to Selection". Or maybe
    use
find/replace and replace 10 spaces with 1 with "Replace All"
    several times.
    HTH,
    Randy

Dreamweaver is pretty good these days at showing the page in Design View how it will be viewed when online. HOWEVER having said that it does largely depend on the way you write the css.
I guess for Dreamweaver it's impossible for it to show every concievable way you can write css correctly. Unfortuantely if your css is not compatible with what Dreamweaver likes it won't make a great job of rendering the site correctly in Design View, that's always been the case.
The css is not wrong but I've seen many display issues in Dreameaver Design View caused as a direct result of the css being overly complex to crack simple presentation. I guess it's in the lap of the gods if you are fortunate enough to have found the way to write css that Dreamweaver likes.

  • Design view not available with php pages

I am using Dreamweaver CS 3, If I have a page with an file extension of .php I cannot view the page in design view. If I want to use design view I have to give it an extension of .htm, do the work then rename the file with a .php extension. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Go to Edit > Preferences (or Dreamweaver > Preferences on a Mac), and select the File Types/Editors category from the list on the left. Make sure that .php is not among the list of files to open in code view.
