Open hub delete delta

Hello,
I'm using open hub in BI 7.0. How does the delta queue work for this tool?
I'm extracting data from a cube to a flat file with delta. I'm storing the flat file on the SAP server for further processing.
How do I handle re-runs of delta. For example if something goes wrong in the load, how do I re-run the last delta without having to reload the entire content of the source cube?
Thanks,
F C

Hello again,
But I cannot delete the request from the cube. This is the source of the load. I do not wish to delete the source data, but only the "delta queue" in order to be able to reload. Please elaborate further..
I have noticed that setting the monitor to red will delete the target file. Furthermore, when executnig the DTP again, alla data is loaded again (and not only the delta).
Any ideas?

F C

  • Open Hub Destination Delta issue

    Hi experts,
We have a scenario in which a Open hUb is created on top of a cube.
Regular delats are moving from this cube to Open hub daily.
But as per the request, we had to dump the cube data, and the reload took, 2 days to complete.
So, that 2 days, data got missed in Open hub.
Now, as the new request are not datamarted, next time wen the DTP between Cube and Open Hub runs, it will fetch all the requests right. we dont want that.
So, can we run a init w/o data transfer so that source status will be fetched?
but then how to load that 2 days data alone.
    Kindly advise.

If the cube doesnt have any other targets aprart from this OHD,
delete the two days requests in the cube, set the init from cube to ohd
load the cube for delta( brings two days requests) and run the ohd

  • Unable to delete a request from a Cube which is loaded by Open hub to flat

    Hi,
We have one Cube from which we are transferring data to a flat file by open hub.
the DTP for the OPEN HUB is delta DTP.
Now when i am trying to delete a request from Cube its not allowing me.
Its giving error as request is already updated to the target so delete the request from target first.
I tried deleting the open hub request entry from RSBKREQUEST table.
but still its not deleting the request from the Cube.
Can you please help me in solving this problem.
    Thanks in Advance,

I think request is having datamart, which is not allowing it to delete.
You can try to reset (delete)  the datamart by clicking on it in cube request and then try to delete.
Or if it does not work, you can delete it from RSICCONT table, which will delete the request from cube also.

  • Delete the initialization of delta on open hub table

    HI Gurus
I have loaded data from cube to open hub table using DTP with full update, later on i have loaded the data using a DTP with delta update. Now i am thinking that delta has been initialized on the open hub table, so now want to delete the initialization of delta on the open hub table. It would be great if some one could send me the response.
    Thanks
    Rohit

    Hi Sam,
    If I understand you correctly,
You have removed your Initialisation by going InfoPackage --> Scheduler --> Initialization Options for Source --> Removed the Request
Then you did Init without Data Transfer
Then you have the option from init withoout Data transfer to Delta in InfoPackage and Loaded the Data.
Check in the Process Chain the InfoPackage you have mentioned in the selections may pointing towards Init load instead of Delta.

  • DTP Delta request for open hub destination.

    Hi expert,
As you know, In BW 7.0, open hub destination is used for open hub service, and you can create tranformation/DTP for the destination. and in some case the DTP delta is enabled.
    my questions are
    1) in the context menu of open hub destination, I did not find something like manage, which could list all the DTP request executed for this open hub destination..but for normal infocube or ods, you can find a list.
    2) if the DTP could enable the delta, where can I delete the latest delta request, and have a new load..
    3) I assume the DTP could be excuted with batch integrated with process chain by process type 'DTP', right ? if the destination type is third party tool, can it also be integrated with process chain ?
    4) can give some obvious difference of InfoSpoke and open hub destination in terms of advantage and disadvantage..
Thanks a lot for the feedback.

  • Deleting DTP based on Open Hub and Remote Cube

    Hi All,
i have created a DTP delta for my Open Hub to load a flat file from a remote cube.
i have done some load test request but it doesn't work (no data in my file .csv), i have created another full DTP with others parameters and it works successfully.
now i want to delete my Delta DTP but the system return me a message like this:
DTP_4IDT4BXV29E1N0MWINKCWO60B cannot be deleted at the moment (see long text)
and in the long text i have:
    Message no. RSBK037
    Diagnosis
You want to delete a delta DTP that has been successfully used to load requests from the source into the target. If you delete the DTP, you will also delete the information on the source data that was successfully transferred. As a result the source data would be transferred again, if you create a new delta DTP that links the same source with the same target.
    System Response
The system terminated the delete operation.
    Procedure
    You have two options:
    1. Delete all the requests loaded with this DTP from the target and then delete the DTP.
    2. Do not delete the DTP and continue to load deltas using this DTP.
i tried to see the requests loaded with the delta dtp and i have deleted one but there are another requests that i can't deleted.
i have deleted the delta dtp from my transport request.
how should i do to delete definitivily my delta dtp?
    thanks for your help
    Bilal

Do not delete entries out of table RSBKREQUEST.
To delete your DTP, you may use program RSBKDTPDELETE.  Give the technical id of the DTP as the input parameter.

  • Open Hub, Delta Transformation

    Hi All,
Thanks in advance for your help.  I am extracting data from a DSO to a flat file using an Open hub and a delta DTP.  The problem I have is that if there is no delta (i.e. zero new/changed records) since the last time the open hub ran, my file is not cleared.
For example,  If I ran the DTP in the morning and received 100 records, the open hub creates a file in the UNIX directory with a 100 records.  However if in the evening I run the DTP again and there are no new records, the file is cleared, and remains with the 100 records.  This is causing a problem down the line because the data is sent twice.
Is there anyway that the DTP can output blank files? or can the file be cleared out in a different step in the process chain?
    your help is very appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
This note should correct your problem: 1111259
    Summary
    Symptom
You extract data using a Delta data transfer process (DTP) to an open hub destination of type 'File on application server'. If the source does not contain any new data, the existing file is not deleted.
    Reason and Prerequisites
This problem is caused by a program error.
    Solution
    SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI
Import Support Package 17 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI (BI Patch 17 or SAPKW70017) into your BI system. The Support Package is available when Note 1106569 "SAPBINews BI7.0 Support Package 17", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
In urgent cases, you can implement the correction instructions as an advance correction.
    Hope this helps.

  • Open hub Table deletions

    Hi all,
I  am using an open hub and out put as DB .   for delta load form DSO in open hub level i selected technical key so it will maintain the entire history of delta changes but for performance reason i should delete the DB after some time  .
    note:
I don't want to select the option deletion data from the table
    Thanks and regards

    HI,
Deleteing Data in Tables depends on your requirements, generally there are options i.e. Append or Overwrite data, or Delete.
For reference keep data in Tables after some time/days/weeks you can delete the data in tables using some ABAP code. So you write simple code to delete the data in that Table and execute that program whenever you want to delete the Data in Tables.
For, some references see in below url in Open Hub Destination section

    hi experts,
We have written start routine to get the storage location text and sending to File located at Application server through OPEN HUB.
here is the code written in the Transformations
    In the global section
    Text for 0STOR_LOC
DATA: l_0stor_loc_text TYPE HASHED TABLE OF /bi0/tstor_loc
              WITH UNIQUE KEY stor_loc.
        DATA: l_0stor_loc_text_wa TYPE /bi0/tstor_loc.
and in the code to get the text
" Populate the lookup table for 0STOR_LOC
        *SELECT * from /BI0/TSTOR_LOC*
into CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF table L_0STOR_LOC_TEXT
FOR ALL ENTRIES IN SOURCE_PACKAGE WHERE
                  STOR_LOC = SOURCE_PACKAGE-STOR_LOC.
im sure there is problem with the Routine only. i think i need to change the code if so please provide me the modified one.

Hello Friends I am required to delete the data from GL Cube, But it is connected to 2 Open Hub
which has one as table /BIC/OHZZIGL_C10 defined in Open hub destination. I deleted the data from this table in SE14, but still when I try to delete the data from cube it throws the below error
Please help me how to now delete the data from cube, when should i go in open hub t delete all the uploaded requests.

just check on your datamart status for that request. Go to the manage screen of your infocube and check where all that request got updated using datamart status.

  • How to load delta, changing the name of file for every day with open hub?

    Hi gurus,
I load daily delta data from ODS to flat file, using open hub.
The file is located on server. Now, if I do delta load from ODS to flat file, every day the file is overwritten, because it has the same name.
I want to load delta data everyday to different file name, for example BW_20060101 , BW_20060102, BW_2006_01_03 ....
    How do I do that?

  • DTP to Open Hub - How to delete failed previous request?

I have instituted the use of an open hub destination to export data to a csv file using a process chain.
Occasionally, the attempt fails and subsequent runs of the process chain also fail because the previous attempt is "red".
Is there any way to specifically delete the failed request from within the process chain?
The error message speaks of setting the "Automatically Repeat Red Requests in Process Chains" indicator, but I have not found it!
I will award points to helpful solutions.
    Thank you in advance.
    Andy

    Thanks YJV.
But what I am asking is how to embed this in a process chain so that each time it runs, it first deletes all previous requests.  There is such a command for regular DTP's but not for the ones that export to open hub.  At least they do not appear in the F4 list when trying to generate this command in the process chain.
Therefore, I am still looking for either the mentioned indicator which can be set for (all) DTP's or for a way to delete all related requests from within a process chain.
