Open in Fullscreen

I've been trying for a long time to make or to find a code
that will open
new window in absolute fullscreen (no menus, no bars, no
nothing). I know
there is already finished script/code that goes along with
the dreamweaver,
that mm_openBrowserWindow (or something like that) with
fullscreen
parametar...
... but with every new version of every new browser that
comes out there is
a new problem: Opera, Firefox, IE and many others give me a
headache! If
something works in one browser it wont work in the other and
vice versa.
That Chromeless JS was good, but it wasn't fullscreen...
Can anyone help me... anything, i'm getting desperate :(

I hate websites that try to hijack my browser. Sites that
change the size of
my browser window, or go full screen guarantee I will leave
there and then.
Sites that hack the back button so I can only back out as far
as their index
page guarantee I will never come back.
Just a thought. It could be that you have a valid reason to
do this for a
kiosk or something.
But if you are just making a website, then forget it.

How to I get iPhoto to stop opening in fullscreen mode?

Every time I open iPhoto, it opens in fullscreen mode. It's as if there is a setting that has been set for it to do it(though I've checked the settings and there's no such thing). I usually exit fullscreen mode in the usual way and it cooperates, but then sure enough, the next time I open it up, it's in fullscreen mode again. Additionally, perhaps it is linked to this problem, everytime I open iPhoto, it tells me that "iPhoto has detected inconsistencies in your[my] library" and that I should "click Repair to avoid any potential problems". I've clicked repair numerous times but it still gives me the same message the next time I start the program. I've tried deleting the iPhoto plist file and that has not helped either.
Another side note that may be similar is that Terminal always opens in fullscreen just like iPhoto.

But basically, you do the following:
1. Navigate to "~/Library/Saved Application State/"
2. Find "com.apple.iPhoto.savedState"
3. Move it to the Trash
4. Launch iPhoto
Also, to solve the issue involving "Repairing" the Library, I had to navigate to the file "iPhoto library" (in ~/Users/dro8654/Pictures) and edit its "Sharing & Permissions" preferences such that only MY user was allowed to "Read & Write"

I often can't open the fullscreen mode in YouTube (OS X Lion) What can I do ?

Since the last 2 weeks I have some problems with YouTube in Safari. I use the newest version of it and OS X Lion.
The problem is ,like mentioned it in the overhead, that I often can't open the fullscreen mode. This also happens with
videos that have 1080p resolution. Where is the problem ? Does others have this problem too ?

YouTube requires the Flash plugin. Try uninstalling the current copy of the plugin then reinstall new. Instructions here > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS

And go to your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
And from the menu bar again, click Safari > Reset Safari
Select the top 5 boxes then click Reset.

Is it possible to create a shortcut to a website which will cause firefox to open in fullscreen

I am wondering if it is possible to create a windows shortcut which will not only open a specific website in firefox but also cause firefox to open in fullscreen (F11), for that session only.
Can it be done?

long press your home screenand select "shortcut." IF you can do it then the "documents to go document" will be an option. some apps i have allow for such shortcuts (scanner radio favorite stations, etc) but most do not. if i had to guess, i will say no. but i don't have docs to go. i know pdf viewer doesn't do this. you can add folders, so maybe that would be an option? you'd still have to touch the phone at least twice though.

Can't figure it out! How to open a fullscreen game in a separate window.

I have a game I like to play (Fairy Tower Pinball by LittleWing) but due to some glitch it will only play in fullscreen mode. In its options panel there are 3 different settings (desktop, standard and wide screen) but none of them seem to change the game from full screen mode. I have tried all the keyboard shortcuts (command-h, command-m, command-shift-return, command-tab, escape etc.). I also have a mighty mouse, programmed in Expose with certain buttons for "All Windows" and "Show Desktop," but these do not work either. The hot corners are also of no use. The mouse pointer is not visible.
There must be a way to open this game in a separate window, one that I can minimize, resize and move around. Shouldn't there be an easy thing I can cut and paste into the game's programming using Terminal so that it will simply open in a window instead of go directly to full screen? Please help. I need to be able to do other things without having to quit the game every time.

i can't access the menu bar when the game is in full screen so fast user switching is out. the hotkey for spaces won't work either, just like the Expose buttons on my mouse. i still don't believe the game can lock me out of my computer like this.

How do I make a linked PDF open in fullscreen view? [contd]

I believe I asked the wrong question earlier. The PDF actually opens in a 'page width' mode if I open the file from the acrobat.com list. However, if I open from the 'Sent files' list followed by 'open link', the screen format is a box on the left for the document which fills the width of that box, and another box to the right of the document which contains the following info vertically: Sent by, Date sent, Type, Pages, Size, Download (button), and Report abuse.
The latter format is the one seen by the emailed recipients of the 'Anonymous link' when the file is 'sent'. Is it possible to arrange for the recipient to see the document without the box on the right [as in the 'sent file' format]? This box is not a function of the Acrobat program but of the acrobat.com website which displays the same document from the 'acrobat.com' list without the offending info box.

Firefox opening in Fullscreen - How to stop this ?

Firefox on start up has just started to continuously open in full screen . I can tap the "full screen " icon on the navigation bar and then the page goes to a quarter of the desktop where I then maximise it and I'm back where I wanted to be.
How to I get it to load normally on start up ?

You can hit F11 to bring Firefox out of Fullscreen mode. If you close Firefox while NOT in fullscreen mode by going to ''File > Exit'' it should remember this for the next time it starts. You might also want to check the shortcut that launches Firefox to be sure it doesn't have an extra parameter to always start in fullscreen.

Not fullscreen per day, but maxed out so I can still see the menu bar. Or at least to open with a bit more padding? Safari generally does a good job, but every now and then I'd like my window a bit larger.

Open/Close/Fullscreen Slideshow Script?

Hello everyone!
I work for a TV production company as a graphic designer, and recently my boss came to me and asked me about something in Photoshop.
He wanted to know if it's possible to run a slide show type thing where it would open an image, set it to full screen, keep it up for 5 seconds or so, then close it and open another one.
He asked me if it could be done with actions, and I tried to build actions for it, but I was unsuccessful. I told him that I wasn't able to do it with actions, but I might be able to do it with scripts and told him that I'd look into it.
So my question, is it possible? Basically what needs to be done is this...
--Open Photoshop
--Click on an action that runs a script
--The script will open Image1.jpg from the "My Images" directory
--The script will make the image full screen, and keep it there for 5 seconds, then close the image
--The script will open Image2.jpp from the "My Images" directory
--Repeat over and over with as many images we put into the directory.
One of the key things that the script needs to be able to do is... Lets say "Image1.jpg" is a picture of a dog. We need to be able to, while the script is still running, take a picture of a cat (named "Image1.jpg" as well) and overwrite the image of the dog, with the picture of the cat, and have it update while the script is running so that when it opens "Image1.jpg", it's the picture of the cat, and not the dog.
I'm very very new to scripts, never used them before although I have known they existed. Anyone able to help?

New HD widescreen projects open as fullscreen

All of the sudden this started happening. When i create a new HD 720p or project or even just a DV widescreen project, it opens up as a 4:3 DV project no matter what I do. Whats happening????

Are you using PAL? If yes, did you tell that to iMovie?

How to make PDFs open fullscreen in Adobe Acrobat DS on iPad?

I'm putting together a corporate interactive PDF, and am struggling to make it open in fullscreen and single page by default on the iPad, despite setting it to do this when exporting. any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

i can't seem to figure out how to turn this off in every cs app i've worked in!
first, it was opening files to tabs, which i figure out how to turn off. thank god!
then, everytime i open a file, it opens to fullscreen -- what is that all about? how is that useful, esp. set as default? plz help me disable it!
also, why does the file window of dreamweaver disappear everytime i click out of it into another app? i *want* to see the files, just like i could in cs3 and earlier versions! i don't want this menu to keep flick back on and off either whenever i move off dreamweaver, which is annoying!
one other minor thing i noticed in dreamweaver: i used to choose the text and click on the color palette in the properties panel. i can't simply set color text anymore --- i have to make a style for it? is that right? if that is true, then i'm p*ssed: i don't want you to tell me how to write my code and set color to my text!
i have to say i am more irked than pleased with cs4 so far. help me change my attitude towards it. adobe? anybody?
adobe, if you're gonna add new functions and features to upgrades, i suggest you make them as new preference items. if i'm gonna dish out lots clams to use your software, plz at least let me have the pleasure of choosing to enable/disable them at my discretion. thank you.
(yes, i'm a little angry. you can say i'm having a hard time adjusting to the cs4 changes and it's affecting my workflow --- it's the little things that matter! :-p )

Can you open a report in Excel/Word desktop instead of the web pugin?

using run_report_object( and web.show_document,
how or can you get a report to open in the desktop/full version of MS Excel/Word instead of the web plugin versions?
I can get the browser to open a report in pdf with my desktop adobe reader, but not with an rtf or xml/delimited desformat.
Currently I don't pass a mimetype when opening as a pdf, but I do pass one in the url when i am destypes of xml, delimited and rtf,
as this is the only way i have found out how to open the reports in word/excel.
I'm in the process of upgrading from forms 6 client/server to 10g developer suite, so this is my try with a web based system.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or where I should look.

What you could try is downloading the report to the client pc using WEBUTIL_FILETRANSFER.URL_TO_CLIENT, then open the locally save file using something like:

I use form 10.1.2.3, jre 1.6.0_10
I open file with the extension 'spf ' by client_host.
How can I open the spf file in maximize state ?

i know that if you add the file// the web.show_document refers to file (not to url) therefore:
