Open Interactive Reporting report using smartcut

Hello,
i was wondering if i can open an Interactive Reporting report from a link from a separate web server (not workspace).
I know i can add username and password to my smartcut link to open my report directly. Is there a way to use encrypted password?

If you had more thoroughly read the docs, you would have found your answer in 2 forms in the v11.1.1.3 document on pages 85 - 87. The note on the bottom of page 85 talks about transparent access and where to get more info, and the HTML forms shown on pages 86 and 87 show how to define the username and password as hidden parameters on the form.
If you want browser-to-web-server communications encrypted, you need to use SSL and set up the Hyperion configuration accordingly.

Which URL to use to open a financial report from a Task list ?

Hi,
I've got a big issue in Hyperion Planning : I do not know which URL to use to open a financial report from a task list.
If I use the Smartcut (given when you do a right-click on the report, then Properties), a tab is opening (normal behaviour), but another tab is opening under the tab, which is very ugly, and moreover which prevent from using the PDF/HTML display icons !
Is someone know which URL to use to display correctly a financial report when opening it from a task list ?
It's an emergency, please help !

OK, thanks, it almost works !!
I've just a problem. 2 tabs are opening.
One is opening correctly and displays my report. I can display it in PDF/HTML.
But another tab is opening with this message : This window can now be closed since the application has been launched in a separate window. Note: Popup blockers may prevent this application from working properly.
Do you know why this tab is opening ?

Issue while opening BI4 webi report instance using CMC on IE8 browser

Hi,
Having issue while opening BI4 webi report instance using CMC on IE8 browser.
Steps to reproduce the error:
1. Login to CMC
2. View Webi History.
3. Open successful instance (For the 1st or 2nd time reports are opening up, from the 3rd time it just freeze the session)
4. After it get freeze we need to close the IE using Task Manager.
Can any one please suggest a resolution for this issue.

first thing is to check is if your chrome version is supported by your current BO version as specified in the PAM (is it?). If the chrome version is supported, and you still have an issue, then you can check with a sap support engineer.

Can i open a existing report using a report generation toolkit

Hello All,
Suppose I create a new excel report today and close the program, Tomorrow I open the same program and instead of creating a new excel file, i need to update the test results data into the excel file which was created yesterday, is this possible.
I am confused because there is no option called Open report in report generation toolkit, it just has create new report option.
Probably NI Guys can work on this...sorry if it is a;lready existing?
Is there any method to open a existing report?

I have a similar problem. I'd like to use Report Generation Toolkit to enter data into some cells in the active worksheet of the active workbook but it seems impossible?! The user has in beforehand opened the desireed workbook and activated the desired worksheet. I use the 'New Report' VI with the template input set as the path of the active workbook (some self-made ActiveX calls to get the path). When this VI is run, howevere, the excel file is sort of re-opened and another worksheet becomes the active one.
I tried to make a customized copy of New Report.vi, New Report subVI.vi and Excel_Open_Workbook.vi so that the Report object works with the currently active workbook and worksheet, but I failed due to my lack of knowledge in LV classes and such things. It would've been an ugly solution anyway to have custom low-level VIs that does not follow when the RepGen Toolkit develops in the future.

Window.open function in java script used to open the BI report from APEX

Hi,
I have some oracle reports now which I converted to BI publisher and the reports are now in BI publisher.
My question is
To open the BI report from APEX using a button the following code i have written
window.open

I want to pass the parameter deptID dynamically to call the BI report.
But when I click on the button it is showing the file open/save dialog box without accepting the parameter and finally showing the blank pdf.
but I want to enter the parameter value dynamically that is when click on button it should allow me to enter the deptno eg. 10 then should show the data related to dept 10 in pdf..
how to accomplish this could you please help me.

hey expert i want to know who i will used interactive internal report in alv report by various tables in my one assingment.
They have told us to do the various steps which i was giving down:
1) In first step they have told me to use of call transaction 'XD03' in the report .I have got that problem solved.
2) In second they have told in this assingment to use of interactive internal report you have to prepare in alv format.
a)I want to know about this .They have told in assingment that in the customer details we have to click to the net value field record and go to the details of sales order detail in which it show the detail of all the details related net values .
b) I want to know about this lines also from you:
Qty field refers to the Target Qty field in the table VBAP.
To get Price in the unit divide the price by Condition Pricing Unit.
If SHKZG field is set, then multiply the amount by -1, making it negative. (understand why?).
3) In the third step they have told to used of drill down which it is in the at line selection ,when i click to the list order of sales it go to the next report and show me the detail of all the list order details.
But i have to use the '2.b' condition there .

Interactive Crystal Report - (Opening another crystal report)

Hello Friends,
     I have crystal report designed using SAP Bex Query. This report shows multiple Key Figure on report.
I would like to add fature that double click on each of key figure, should open another report {may be subreport} and values get pass from one report to second report.
   The second/sub report should not execute untill its on demand.

How to open Crystal report 11 using the Visual c++ 6.0 code

I am using Visual c++ 6.0.I can't open crystal report X1 from my vc++ application. The same code which I have used for crystal report 7.0 is using for crystal report X1.But it shows "Unbale to load the report". Please help me out.

Show prompts before opening a new report using action links

Hi,
I have a report that's grouped on a particular GROUP_ID and the current month. On clicking the GROUP_ID on the report, I need to open a new report that displays data for that month but on date level. Since we have a lot of data at date level (>100,000), I wanted a drop down on the top of the report that has all dates in that month and clicking on a particular date, the data in the pivot table is fetched.
I tried using the pivot table prompt but that seems to fetch all the data first and then creates a drop down prompt. Is there a way where we could fire the query only on choosing a particular date.
Is there any other way we could do this?

You're saying to add a dashboard prompt for Month and Date? When opening reports using Action links, I am not able to see the prompts.
I am using Go URLs in Action links and that data for a month is >100,000. So, I want to show the data for the month and the first date of that month.
I really don't know whether such thing is possible or not. I just want to restrict the data to the first day of the month. Rest of the data is queried when user selects a different date from the drop down.

Error while subscription on SSRS report that uses custom assembly

I am new to SSRS. i have created a report that uses custom assembly that runs an oracle procedure and bring back result to report. this works fine on sharepoint mode interactive report. while i subscribe the same report, i am getting below error

Can you see data for Custom object @ BEx level??
YES, then just try to re-create the same variable and Save the BW query.
Now do View - refresh Strusture @ Universe. And you can see Filter for the same, just Parse it, just whether it is OK or not.
OK -- then Export the Universe and create WebI reports, this will come as Prompt.

Interactive PowerView report (Incl Map) load to Web site

What is the best, easiest & quickest way to load an existing Interactive PowerView report & map to an existing Web site (not Shharepoint)? Interactivity is required after loading.

Hi Allan,
If you want to display a Power View report in a normal PHP or ASP .NET Website, the only way I can think of is that to open the power View Excel document from SharePoint (it should render as a web app) and copy the URL and then use it in your website.
But I don't think you can interact with this 'report'. the SharePoint should be the best option for you to Presenting Power View Reports to Users, since it totally support the Power View report feature.

Use tcodes CO24. First you need to activate that report PPCOXPR1 in SE38 enter report name and execute
In COOIS select list components you can be requirement qty and withdrawn qty , here you can find out open work orders also
