Open Items Reconciling to Balance Sheet

Hi
Please could someone confirm the following for me:
- Open Items List - GRPO's less Good Returns should reconcile to Balance Sheet Account GRNI - at any given time
- Open Items List - A/P Reserve Invoices - Not Yet Paid & Not Yet Delivered should reconcile to Balance Sheet Account Stock in Transit at any given time
Thanks
Lisa

Hi,
Both account are clearing account. It should always reconcile automatically by the system if you
follow process properly. Some time user will create journal entry un expectly because of that it will
show the balance amount to be reconcile . In this case you have to make correction entry and
reconcile the account properly. In future you may block the JE for those clearing accounts.

  • Difference between vendor open items and vendor balance

    Hi all,
I have the following problem: When I display open items for a vendor with a special general ledger code, it happens that for some vendors, the total of these open items do not equal the vendor balance concerning this special GL code.
Or in other words, the sum of BSIK and BSAK entries are not equal to the totals in table LFC3.
I identified SAP standard program RFEWA003, that gives me exactly these differences, but how can I correct the entry in LFC3?
The difference only occurs in the current fiscal year and is in the carryforward amount of LFC3. I checked the totals of debits and credits for the current year which are 100% correct.
Our last fiscal year was shortened (only 11 months). Could this be the reason?
How to correct LFC3 entries? Any correction program existing that is not related to Euro conversion?
    Thanks for your appreciated help,

    Hi Michael,
Thanks for your answer, but I tried already the carry forward. It just says there is nothing to be treated.
I thought there might be a special carry forward transaction for special general ledger accounts, but it does not seem.
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks for your help.

  • Close open items and post balance

    Hi,
Do we have any standard reports or programs which will consolidate all the customer open items. I mean clear all the open items and post a sperate transaction with new balance. This is not for fiscal year balance forwarding but has to be done every week for our client.
Please do reply with any suggestions on how to do this. I am due to provide the solution for this.
    Regards,
    Satya

    Thank you for your replies.
I have no idea about this report. Does this report generate balance of all open items till date instead of due in 8 or 20 days? Becz, the balance generated with this report is not matching with the balance on FBL5N.
Also, what is the difference between F-30, F-32, F13E and S_ALR_87012178 report. What is the purpose of these and against what is this cleared?
Please reply how these work. I need to see if any of these can be replaced with the custom program my client has.

  • Report S_ALR_87012178 - customer open item analysis by balance of overdue

    Hi,
In report S_ALR_87012178 (program RFDOPR10), when we choose in the selection field screen :
    OI sorted list sorting (1,2) = 1
    Summarization level (0-6) = 6
    OI list summarization (0-2) = 1
The value that we have under the «Sort field» column is the search term of the customer master data.
Do you know if it's possible to have the customer name instead of the search term without any modification to the SAP standard program?
    Thanks,
    Julien

    Hi Julien,
In the Search help ID enter Q - Reference Type and enter the customer name or number. If not Q try other options.
    Thank You.

  • S_ALR_87012178/Customer Open Item Analysis by Balance of Overdue Items/

I would like to modify the 'Dynamic selections' (Shift + F4) list on the selection screen. Where are the selections coming from? How to change the list? I should add one selection more to 'Documents'-selections.

I have debugged these programs quite a lot, but it seems to be very difficult to find the correct place. There are lots of source code to be debugged. I just thought that 'Dynamic Selections' is a standard way to handle extra selections and someone could know, a little bit more specific, from where to look for.

  • UP loading Customer open item and balance

    Dear All,
We are going live in few days. My client had given me a file for  all the open items and a file for the balances. We lready have the customer masters in SAP. I have to upload the open items as well balances to SAP using LSMW.
I know for uploading in LSMW i have to call tr code FB01 but what about Balance Upload? Which transaction Code I have to call in LSMW for balance upload.
    But how to do.
Please provide me steps for doing that.
    Thanks in Advance
    Pratiksha
My email id is [email protected]
If possible please send me any documentation on this

    Hi Pratiksha & Smile,
At the time of Uploading Cut Over Data, in addition to all the required Gl accounts we would also create Cutover Data Upload clearing Gl Account.
When you are trying to Upload the Debit items in the Trial balance you would credit this Gl account and Debit this GL account when you are trying to upload Credit items in the Trial balance.
Please note the point that the Assets GL Accounts have to be converted to normal GL accounts so that data can be entered, as you may not be able to upload the balances as they would be configured as Recon account and balances cannot be posted directly.
Similarly the Customer and Vendor balances also have to posted separetly as these Gl accounts are also Recon accounts.
Inventory balancces would be  uploaded from MM module.
Once all the balances in the trial balance are uploaded, this clearing GL would have a nill balance. Then this Gl account has to be blocked for further posting.
Once the Assets are Uploded individually using AS91,go to T Code OAMK and reset the Asset Gl accounts to Recon accounts.

  • Balance Sheet Report in SAP BW/BI

    Hi,
I have been requested to create a Balance sheet report on FIGL Cube and I need your help as I don't have much functional knowledge in FI.
I need your help to understand which GL accounts should we include in the balance sheet. I can see a hierarchy built on 0GL_account for balance sheet  but I have been told that I canot use the hierarchy as it is as we may need to include or exclude some GL accounts.
I am confused as I dont know what need to be included or excluded. Will there be any list maintained in R/3 where they will have the list of GL accounts need to be used for balance sheet.
I also need your help in reconciling the balance sheet with R/3. what is the approach to reconcile the whole balance sheet with R/3 and BW.
    Please provide your valuable information.
    Regards,
    Raghav

    HI,
balance sheet is always combination of GL accounts. but you need the functional help for which GL accounts you can use in balcance sheet line items. ex: input material cost, utility cost these all are combination of GL accounts so functional guy will give you the list of GL accounts.
easy way is creating the heirarchy, since you have the heirarchy copy it and do the changes as per your requirement finaly in your report you just have the heirarchy and key figures are credit and debit etc
roconsilation alway with the combination of GL accounts. (take some GLA ccounts month wise or fiscal period wise and check in R3 and your BI data target)

    Chandra.

  • Transfer of open items

    Hi
we changed the recon account without clearing the open items, which made balances not tallied with FS10N to customer balances, now we want to transfer
open items from old recon account to new recon account,is there any standard programme for that.
    Thanks
    Lily

You should run balance sheet adjustment program after any reconciliation account change.
The system performs any adjustments required due to the change of reconciliation accounts or G/L accounts. The items from the old reconciliation accounts are allocated to the new accounts.
Since you cannot post to the reconciliation accounts directly, the postings are made to temporary adjustment accounts.
These adjustment accounts should be displayed along with the relevant reconciliation account in the balance sheet. The postings are then reversed after the balance sheet has been created.
The program for sorting the payables and receivables makes the necessary adjustments automatically. This means that you have to define the adjustment account numbers and the posting keys for these postings in the system.
This explanation is given by SAP system when u change a recon account of customer.
The open item account in which you want to change the reconciliation account has been posted to.
By changing the reconciliation account in the open item master record the proportionate values from the items open at the time of change are not posted to the new reconciliation account.
    Procedure
On the balance sheet key date the open items from the old reconciliation account are allocated to the new reconciliation account using adjustment accounts. This allocation is carried out automatically when you create a sorted list of receivables and payables using report SAPF101.
The postings necessary are only carried out for G/L accounts and are cancelled on the first day of the subsequent month (balance sheet adjustment posting).
    Please assign points if useful

  • Open item are not showing

hi when iam using t code F-07 out going payment.iam getting
there are no open items managed in account 250001(rental account)
    iam unable to post.

    hi Nagendra,
To process open item first you need to maintain that GL account for Open Item. Go to T.Code FS00 and check in control Tab page there is 'Open Item Management' check box 'whether your rent account 250001 has maintained for open item or not. if  that account is P&L account then system will not allow you to maintain as open item. Only balalnce sheet GL account can be maintained as open item. If there is  any balance then  it will not allow you to make changes so, first make that account balance is 0 then change.
    thx

  • Open Item Management for GL Account

When I run transaction code FAGL_FC_VAL - Foreign Currency Valuation a certain GL account is not apprearing on the list generated by the report. The Open Item Management checkbox is selected for this GL account in the master file, whereas the other GL accounts that appear in the report this option is not selected.
Can someone explain if this could be the casue of the problem and why the selection of this checkbox "Open Item Management" will prevent it from appearing on the report .

    Hi Niketa,
The reason you are not able to see those accounts is Foreign currency valuation covers the following accounts and items:
Foreign currency balance sheet accounts, that is, the G/L accounts that you run in foreign currency.
The balances of the G/L accounts that are not managed on an open item basis are valuated in foreign currency.
So the accounts that are managed on open item basis are not shown to you.

  • Unable to Clear Vendor open items in F.13

    Hi All,
We have few vendor codes, where all are having some normal open items as well as Spl GL open items and net balance is 0.
When we do clearing with F-44, No issues at all
But when we try to clear them through F.13, system is grouping normal open items and Spl GL transactions separately.
If i choose  Shortlist (Statistics) in selection screen, then only atleast i will be able to see normal line items in one group and spl gl items in another group.
If i choose, Detailed List with Error Log, i am not able to see anything related to any kind of line items.
So then, i red the documentation of the program SAPF124, in that it says Down payments can only be cleared if down payment clearing for the same amount has been posted.
As we all know that, each spl GL transaction can be cleared against one normal transaction in F-54. But in our case, we never do that practice, and always want to clear spl GL transactions along with normal transactions.
My question is that, Is it mandatory to clear them in F-54 before doing F.13?
As i know, there is an check box option for selecting spl GL transactions in F.13....in this case why should i clear prior to F.13?
    Please advise...
    Regards,
    Srinu

    Hi Gaurav,
    Thanks for your inputs.
I agree with you, but my intention is to know, whether any possibility (change of internal selection criterion for recon account)
to clear them automatically in F.13 without doing F-54 only.
Anyhow i have found two other alternative solutions for the same.
    1) Batch input recording for F-44 in LSMW.
    2) Using worklist instead of vendor code in F-44 to clear all items at one go.
As our business won't follow clearing with F-54, so this requirement may come often.
But only my concern is, they need to identify these cases separately and spend more time to add each vendor code to that worklist, since they are not able to add a range of vendor codes directly. As it allows only single values.
So, is there any other way, which we can suggest them to add 10000+ vendor codes to the same worklist, since we can add 12 codes at one go and repeating the same will take time
    Regards,
    Srinu

There are couple of  Standard Report for Customer Open Items.
RFDOPO00 - List of Customer Open Items.
    RFDSLD00 -  Cutomer Balances
Also there is another standard report....
Run the Tcode 'S_ALR_87012178", that is "Customer open Item analysis by Balance of Over dues".
Copy the Report and make necessary changes.
Modification is always required to get a "good looking" aging report, there is no standard.
    Hope this helps.
