i'm a PS Elements-User and i have a question. Is it possible to open more than 1 file from lightroom into photoshop with one click? Thank you in advance for helping me.

I use PSE9 and send several derivate files (TIFFs) from LR to PSE9 all the time to do panos.
I've recorded a little screen capture showing 4 images being sent to PSE9 from LR3.6. You can see the 4 tiffs being added to the catalog before calling PSE9 and then the 4 TIFFs arrive in PSE9.
What Operating System do you use? Can you show a screenshot of the external editor settings for PSE?

Is it possible to output multiple clips from a multitrack session, at the same time?

I am trying to figure out how to output several clips from a multitrack session, at the same time.
A session like this:
Is it possible to output 5 files right now?
I can select each one (or even multiple) and use File > Export > Multitrack Mixdown > Selected Clips to do one at a time only.
I'm hoping for a way to give each clip (or group of clips) a predefined filename, by perhaps using markers or something like that, which would then allow me to faster "automate" the exporting of each section into a different sound file.
This ability would be really helpful when using a single multitrack session to generate multiple sounds and a change to globally applied effects is made and all sounds now need to be updated.
Any ideas?

They are, yes, but I'm also working with multitrack sessions using clips made from various different sound files.

So, this sort of thing isn't possible in multitrack mode then?
If not, it sounds I'll have to "mix down" my multitrack session into a single file and set up the markers in Waveform Edit view.
That's an extra step I'd have to do, and after editing the multitrack session, surely some markers . . . oh wait, no . . . every time I output the new mix down file from the multitrack I'd need to redo all the markers. Drat . . .
Honestly, I am very new to Audition, but I'm about to plow into it, big-time, and I'm hoping for a nice non-destructive and fast workflow that'll enable me to output sets of sounds from the same multitrack session.
But, it seems like this functionality is currently missing.

Printer and PC can reached each other ( ping work \ routing )
i can connect printer as network printer for my PC?

Try deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-try the photo sync - the location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314

Is it possible to convert several pdf files (into Excel or Word) at the same time ?

I'd like to convert several pdf files (up to 500) into Excel at the same time. Is it possible ? How many files can Export PDF handle at the same time ?

Hi, Sylvain.
This is a great idea! Currently, ExportPDF only can export 1 file at a time. (Acrobat can do a batch export using it's Action Wizard feature.)

This is perfect use case for ExtendScript. You could easily iterate over all anchored frames and resize them. You would probably want to resize the contents as well, though, which would add a few extra lines of code.

Can't open a raw file from Lightroom to Photoshops ACR

I got used to using Lightroom 3 as a place to catalogue and store my images but still process my Raw files in Adobe Photoshops Raw Convertor. Now that I have Lightroom 5 I can't find out how to do this. With version 3 I just highlighted say 3 files and hit command E.
I know I can open an image as a smart object and go about it that way but I can't open multiple images from Lightroom to ACR.
I know people will say '' hey well do your Raw work in Lightroom'' but I got used to using the Photoshop Raw convertor and I spent a lot of time and money learning it.
Surely there is a way to open say three images from L5 to ACR ???
Please help this has been driving me nuts, It's suggested I will need to start using Bridge but I'm bewildered and don't want to start learning something new.

It has been a long time since I even had Lightroom 3 installed on my computer. I don't recall the behavior you are describing. ACR is used to translate the adjustments made in Lightroom as the image is transferred to Photoshop. You may have become accustomed to a certain behavior, but it doesn't work that way. The process of moving from Lightroom to Photoshop works on the assumption that you have done your raw adjustments using Lightroom, and you are now passing that image to Photoshop.

The app Spaces keeps me from using two applications at the same time.

I set up Spaces but now experience a bad side-effect. When I need to have Two files/folders/whatever in use because I want to place something from X into Y, I cannot do it because Spaces only lets One application on the desktop at the time; it shoos all the other applications away, and in doing so, it takes away the thing that I wanted to place into the new application that swooshed onto my desktop when I pressed its corresponding square in the Spaces icon in the top control panel.
How can I arrange it so that I can keep Two or three applications available for me to do transfers from one to another?

Ferrell, I have done what you suggested. I clicked onto the Spaces icon in the upper control panel and assigned spaces to six apps: Mail, Safari, iPhoto, iMovie, Pages, and iWeb.
The problem is that if I am one app and I want to put something into that app, then the minute my mouse cursor goes to get that other thing, the original application into which I want the thing put GETS WHOOSHED OFF THE DESKTOP. What I want is for the original app to remain open whilst I go to retrieve a file or folder, and stay open while I put that thing into the original app.
How does one turn off Spaces? I don't mean to delete all the names from the settings.I mean, just turn it off for a while so I can do something which requires for two apps to be open at the same time????

There is no audio output on my MBA in the system preferences-sound folder. Therefore no sound comes from my computer. At the same time this happened, any streaming video stopped playing after 11 seconds, as well as iTunes will not play any song. Help!?

Hello everyone.
i have a 15" MBA circa 2011 running Lion 10.7.5 and my sound has gone, There is a no sound circle on my volume display and in system preferences sound my options for output is empty. At the same time this happened I noticed 2 things: 1) itunes would not actually play any audio track and every video i streamed stopped after a few seconds (usually 11s) but not always.
I have tried following some tips I have found online like going into MIDI and fixing the problem there, restarting in safe mode. Resetting with PRAM (or something that sounds like that).
Does anyone have any insight on this? At this point i'm thinking it's time to reload Lion but I don't really know how to go about that without losing all of my files.

Opening Form in Insert mode but making a query at the same time

My problem is that I want to open a Portal Form in Insert mode but at the same time making a query.
If I call a form with patameters the form opens automatically in update mode (to be more precise with FORMSTATE = UPDATE_AND INSERT). In that case the insert button is not shown.
I have come very close to a solution by running this code:

under "... before processing the form". The form-state changes to QUERY_AND_INSERT' and I get the record from the table that I want but I still see no insert button!
I think that I can solve this problem in some table-triggers in the database but it would be interesting to know weather it is possible to do this in the portal.

You can workaround the disappearing Insert button by creating a custom button instead.
If you look at the "standard" Insert button code it looks like this:

If you add a custom button to your form and from PLSQL event combobox select "Custom", then copy&paste this code to the event code:

p_session => p_session);
You will get a custom button which does exactly what the Insert button does and it will not disappear from the screen.

Getting data from Multiple cDAQ racks at the same time.

I need to combine an 8 port cDAQ rack and a 4 port cDAQ rack and was hoping someone can help. I do not need the signals to be synced up exactly, but I can’t handle the 50ms delay that I have now. The signals on the 2nd rack is more for customer reference and the 1st rack is doing all the real analyzing.
I need to collect samples at 500hz or every 2ms and I collect 25 samples giving me a chunk of data every 50ms. The DAQmx tasks seem to pull at the same time, therefore the cDAQ2 In chunk is always 1 scan behind causing a 50ms delay.
Is there a better way to pull this data without having such a large delay? I did not see anything in the examples that apply to my particular application and hardware.

Each task will begin sampling data as soon as you start each task, so in order for each task to be synced, you want each start task to occur at as close to the same time as possible. One way to try to do this is to put the start tasks together in a sequence structure. This will ensure all your cofiguration steps for both tasks are complete before you start sampling. How long are you runnig your application for? If its not that long, I wouldn't worry about one of your chassis running faster than each other. If you think that is becoming a problem, there are ways to diagnose that, but that would take a significant amount of effort.

Communicate to a 34970A from 2 VI's at the same time

Im using an Agilent 34970A and i need to have two different VI's running at the same time, one is retrieving measurements from 5 channels of the 34902A (every second) and the other controls the actuator module, at the runtime sometimes it send and error and i cant keep controlling or measuring anything, how can i do it or check if the equipment its in use before trying to use it?

Ok that sounds good, just one more question, when the VISA is locked, and another VI tries to acces to it, it sends a locked error right? will that locked error sent to the equipment too or it just wont let the VI access to the equipment?

Hello Mattynsavvy, welcome to the HP Forums.
It appears that you're trying to use two headphones from your notebook to do an online course.
The way that you're trying to do this probably won't work. The notebook itself only has one sound card. This card can only output audio to one device at a time. So if you have both USB headsets into ports. Only one will have sound. Just like how the headset cuts off the speakers. You would need a second sound card, or to be using speakers or another computer.
The only thing I could think of that may accomplish what you're trying is to use the audio/mic jacks on the notebook specifically with a splitter. This may allow the sound to be direct to two headsets. I can not say for certain if this will work or not.
I was able to find a few YouTube videos with various ways to achieve what you're trying to do, but as they run with 3rd party software attempting those suggestions would be completely up to you.

Reminders: How to view Todo's from multiple Exchange accounts at the same time

Does anyone know of an IOS app that:
Displays a concatenated view of all Tasks from all of my (3) exchange accounts.
The problem is, that I cannot see what tasks I have for e.g. today without going in and out of all of the Exchange accounts. Just like the calendar is able to view all of the appointments in different colors, I would like the reminders (or a simliar app) to do the same.
Yes, I'm willing to pay for an app, it's not that :-)

You can and it should be automatic depending on your refresh rate. If your phone and iPad refresh every hour, or only on request, then the iPad will not show the change until you refresh the email account.
Next time you delete emails, try it....Refresh the screen on the iPad.
This only works if iPad has internet connection.
