Open pdf in Blackberry app

There is an Adobe Reader app for Blackberry Z10,

and I can open email attachment file use the reader,
but how can I call it to open pdf file in my app?

The PDF would be linked from a server and the hand off would then go to either Safari or back to iBooks. If it is a live PDF form, you'd stick with Safari and keep it on the server, but then you'd be doing logins, etc.
In the end, as it sounds like you're entertaining a lab tool, these types of interactivity seem to accumulate and hint at an iOS app, instead of a book, tho, I think.

Problem opening PDFs within an App-V session of Internet Explorer

I've seen similar post to this problem but no solution.
Problem is I am delivering a web based application using App-V. This works fine except when the User tries to open PDFs. This fails with the following error - "Adobe PDF Document" "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader"
"If it is running, please exit and try again"
I've tried the following scenarios, all fail.
Test with Reader already open and with it not open.
LOCAL_INTERACTION_ALLOWED set to TRUE or FALSE
Windows XP or Windows 7
Sequencing with Reader 10 installed which produces a different "Visual C++ Runtime error" on Windows XP (within the sequencing Process I'm unable to open a PDF document) Sequencer is 4.6.2.24020.
Reader Protected Mode turned Off or or Enabled (outside the App-V bubble)
Failure testing internal and external PDFs
Reader 11 makes no difference, still get the same failues.
Using ProcMon I can see AcroRd32.exe running but failing with "Access denied" error's writing to the Users's %Appdata%\Adobe folder and %temp% folders (permssions should not be an issue, User has full control). Last Access denied failure
is "C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\UserCache.bin"(still fails is this is deleted or already exists)
It works fine just opening a PDF in a non-App-V IE session. I don't want to include Reader inside the IE Bubble.
Has anyone foudn a resolution to this? Thanks in advance for help.

Browser closing when opening PDF output in Apps

Hello,
When opening the concurrent request/report output (for PDF output), the browser just closes.
The PDF output were generated thru XML Publisher (reports converted in XML Publisher - rtf).
PDF is defined in the Viewer Options/ System Options(Viewer). I could open PDF output by
pressing CTRL key while clicking on the output request Output button. It will give prompt on
whether to Open or Save the PDF.
Not sure if it's really related to XML Publisher, maybe more on concurrent request, but idea
will be very much appreciated.

To clarify what you posted:
When opening the PDF document, your browser closes. When pressing the control key and opening the document, you get a dialog window (with the choices of open or save). What happens when you select open?
This is browser behavior, nothing to do with this being a PDF file. Which browser and which platform? If you are using IE7, popup blocker is automatically enabled, and if you are viewing this on a 2003 server, you have server security settings to override. Pressing the control key allows popups.

Acrobat Reader closes after opening PDF from an app-v

So we have a problem with reader version 10.1.0.534. In our company we have most applicaties packaged as an app-v take firefox as an example. Now when we try to open a pdf document from firefox Acrobat Reader opens for a second and then closes again right away. Reader itself is installed on Windows 7 x64 (so reader is not packaged with app-v)
We also have this problem with some business applicaties. Is this a known issue for this Reader version? upgrading reader is a big thing (large company) so if there is a fix in the settings it would help us greatly.

I am not able to reproduce the exact issue. Sequenced the latest build of Firefox on a system already having Reader 10.1.4, so that the reader plugins gets registered. On the sequencer the PDF is opening up in Firefox. The firefox package is then installed on a client system having Reader 10.1.4. When I open any PDF in firefox on the client, I always get the SaveAs dialog.
How are you sequencing Firefox. Are you making any customizations so that browser extensions work well. In this case browser is working within the virtual environment and might not be able to talk to local Reader.

Opening pdf on Blackberry 8350i

Please, please someone help me. I am at my wit's end. I have searched forums, emailed people and still cannot figure out what to do. I have the Blackberry 8350i. I loaded a 8 gb memory card. I am a paramedic and carry a field guide. I bought this phone because I was told I could download a mobile edition of the field guide on it. (If need, go to http://www.informedguides.com/index.cfm?event=product.digital.wall&categoryName=viewAllDigital and read the tech specs. To the best of my knowledge all you need is a program capable of reading pdf. I have Documents to Go. I have saved the pdf file on the media card. When I attach the phone to computer and click, the file is there, but I cannot open it on the phone. Please someone help me before the Blackberry meets the garbage disposal.

The free version of Documents to Go cannot read pdf's. It only allows you to read word, exel and powerpoint files. To be able to read pdf's you have to purchase the premium version of Documents to Go from DataViz: http://www.dataviz.com/products/documentstogo/blackberry/
When you buy the premium version, you will get a free PDF's to Go program that reads pdfs. The other way to read pdfs on the blackberry is through the attachment service. This only allows you to read pdfs that have been emailed to you and received by the phone as an attachment. Not that there is also a file size limitation for viewing email attachments (around 2.6 MB i think). Files bigger than that will not be read/downloaded.
If you decide to buy Documents to Go premium with PDF's to go, I would recommend doing it soon. It is on offer for $29.99 until July 31st; after this it will be back to the original price of $69.99.

How do create a link to open a pdf in an android app?
I would prefer that the document be viewable within the app is this possible?

The apps that appear in the 'open in' list will depend on what document/file type you have open and are trying to copy, and what apps you've got on your iPad - if the app supports the file type then it should appear (unless you have more than 10 apps that support it, in which case I think it's the 10 most recently installed)

Recently I have found that some users are having an issue with opening PDF attachments on the BlackBerry PlayBook using their Exchange 2003 accounts.
I have isolated the issued to only users on Exchange 2003 using activesync.
To resolve/workaround you can select and hold the attachment until you have the option to "Open" or "Save As". Select "Save As" and rename the attachment to the same name but include .pdf at the end of the file name. This allow the attachment to open in Adobe and show the PDF document in the email message correctly.
Messages where being recieved as .null attachments with same file name but no extension.

Mail app doesnt open pdf files (iPhone5 & ios 7.0.4)

Hello,
our CEO can´t open pdf files from email attachments on his iPhone 5 on ios 7.0.4.
Normal behaviour:
Usually the mail app opens the pdf from the email and you can scroll through the pages and everything is okay.
Error description:
But in our case when tipping on the pdf icon at the bottom of an email, the mail app just jumps to the top of the email and nothing else happens.
After doing this two or three times, the icon changes to a picture showing the first page of the file. Tipping on the picture opens the known "save picture" menu.
Solutions I tried:
- Holding the thumb on the pdf icon does nothing.
- After forwarding the email to another ios device (verified with iPhone and iPad) the pdf file can be viewed without problems.
- Restart (holding top and home button)
- I read in a community that the app "Stanza" can cause the problem. Check: It has never been installed on the device.
Solutions I didn´t try:
- Recovery from an iTunes backup. (As i read, this doesn´t solve the problem.)
- Recovery without an iTunes backup. (As i read, this will solve the problem (-no surprise). But this is no valid solution for our CEO.)
Question:
Does anybody know the problem and a constructive solution? Thank you very much!

The error is occuring with every pdf file attached to an email.
I know, you don´t need 3rd party software. That´s why I posted this as a problem to the community.

I like the feature of the PDF being opened on the new tab on firefox browser windows. But the newer version (3.6 or 4.0) will automatically open PDF in a pop up adobe apps. How do I keep the PDF open on the new tab as before? thank you

When I open a pdf in iOS App Adobe Reader 11.6.4 I cannot click on a link, the link is underlined but I have no possibility to choose that link. On a PC this link in the same PDF is functioning correctly.

Your form is a special type of form called a "static XFA form" (typically authored with Adobe LiveCycle Designer).
The "links" in the static XFA form are actually buttons (form fields) that act like hyperlinks.
Unfortunately, Adobe Reader mobile products (including Adobe Reader for iOS, Android, Windows Phone) do not support static (or dynamic) XFA forms. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The static XFA buttons for web links did not work with any of the non-Adobe PDF viewers that I tried on my iPad, either. So the users who receive the static XFA form will experience the same problem on mobile devices.

Uable to open PDF document in proper format on blackberry browser

We are trying to open a document hosted in MOSS document library using blackberry browser. The document type can word, excel, power point, pdf. But when we are trying to open PDF document using blackberry browser the document is displayed as long string of text message rather than PDF document and strips all the formatting.
But if we email the same document and try opening that in blackberry then it works fine. Please share your thoughts, how we can properly render these documents on blackberry browser. Because this is a show stopper for our solution approach in which user can open any document on his blackberry.

PDF files can be easily viewed as an attachment to an email.
If you are wanting to view a PDF file downloaded to your Media Card, you will need a third party application, such as PDFtoGO, BeamReader or Repligo. Google will find any of those three for you.

No - and you can't open pdf files in the Pages app on the iPad anyway as far as I know. You can export a Pages file as a pdf but you can't open them in Pages.
