Open period in the future month and year.

Hi,
I am doing testing data for GR PO. The open period is on Jan and Feb 2008 (since its a testing client). I've changed my posting & document date to Jan 2008, but still the system keep prompting the error message "Posting only possible in periods 2008/02 and 2008/01 in company code". Shouldn't the system already allow the posting. It is understood if only msg "Document date lies in the future. (Check your entry)" is prompted.
Is there any configuration that relate on this. Hope someone can help me...

I want to accumulate rain for the day, month and year; What formula or expression can I use.
I am using a Rain Wise product that converts pulses to an analog value. The Rain Wise device can be
set to measure up to 1", 5", or 10". I will be setting the unit to 10 inches in increments of 0.01 inches.
What I would like to do is everytime the signal increments I would like to count it as 0.01 then after reaching
a period of time whether it be a day or a month reset back to zero.

Hello Ryan,
Lookout gets a Modbus over Ethernet signal which originates as a 4-20mA input to a Moxa Ethernet I/O Module (E1240) in the field. In Lookout I created a ModbusEthernet Driver and a tag which scales 0 - 65534 RAW to 0-10 Eng. [0 - 10 is inches of rain] Also, another piece of information is that after the rain gauge maxes out at 10 inches it will zero out and start over.
I though the accumulator was time based and took a sample over a specific time period, for instance, one sample every 30 seconds then accumulate. If this is so then if I have 5 inches of rain and then it stopped raining, then 30 seconds latter it would sample, it would see 5 inches and add that to be 10 inches when actually it had only rained 5 inches.
I really need some help with this process,

DRQ: Isolate the Daily, Monthly and Yearly CheckBoxes in Selection Criteria

Module: Financials => Financial Reports => Accounting => General Ledger
Request to Isolate the Daily, Monthly and Yearly Check Boxes in the General Ledger - Selection Criteria screen, instead of an option in the report window.
Problem: If there is BP/General Ledger having long transaction list, then once user un-check any of the check boxes system takes long time to remove/hide those rows which contains Totals. Which is effecting the performance of the report also. Also those checkboxes appeared with check marked by default.
If user has an option in the selection criteria screen, then they can choose which Total they want before previewing the report and mark accordingly.

Find the difference between two dates for the specific month and year

Hi,
I have two dates, start date is 30/12/2012 and end date is 04/01/2013. Using datediff I found the difference of days between two dates. But I find the no of days in January 2013. ie output is 4 instead of 6. I input month and year to find the no of days
for that date. In this case I input Jan 2013. How can I sql this ?

First let me understand you:
You have 2 dates range and you want to calculate day range for specific month and year between the original date range.

I don't know how you calculate day range between 01/01/2013 and 04/01/2013
is 4, it is actually is 3 but if that is the case, you can add 1 from the condition.

How to get the currrent month and year from a new date object

If I create a new Date object as "d",
java.util.Date d = new java.util.Date();how can I format the date to get the current Month as 'Jan' and the current year as '2008'. So if I have something like d.getMonth() gets the current month as 'Oct' and d.getYear() gets '2008'

but I want to select the previous month as of sysdate
like if the sysdate is 10-jun-2011
it should give me 5 as month and
in the year it should give as 2011
if the sysdate is 01-jan-2012
the month should be as 12 and year should be as 2011

First month and year relevancy for COI

When transferring the data from legacy system to ECC/BCS system, what is the context in the Year and period of first data entry will help the COI process.
Suppose the go live is on Jan 2008, is it put the first month and year as 001,2008.
How this impacts BCS ,particularly COI functionality in future if the data of starting in BCS as first month and year.
How does this impact the future execution of the function.

do you mean Year & Period of 1st Collection fields in the Companies screen?
If yes, then the answer is very easy. If you have clicked on the 1st field description and then press F1, you would get the following help:
Year of First Data Collection
Attribute of the consolidation unit, which specifies the first period for which reported financial data can be entered or collected for that consolidation unit.
You are able to record reported financial data in the period of first entry and the year of first entry, even if posting and entry is blocked.
Dependencies
In customizing of consolidation units, you specify the year of first entry along with the period of first entry.
Regarding the periods.
I usually start customization in the period that is definitely earlier than go-live period.
Because:
1. I need to upload beginning balances. Usually I do this upload in the last periods of the year prior to go-live. -- in order to make balance carryforward.
2. In case of CoI I need to post and consolidate the history of capital. In periods prior go-live.

Change the way month or year page flips in Lion?

As nits go, this is pretty nitty :-) In Lion, iCal changed the way month (and year) views changed the way they moved. Instead of just a straight transition to the next month or year, some wise guy decided to transition with a lovely (not) animation that sets off my vertigo whenever the darn page moves from month to month.
Is there a way to revert to the previous behavior without any animation? I want a straight transition, with no flipping. I would love a classic view of iCal. I realize I am a traditionalist, a Luddite, if you will, but I dislike the colors and the current UI. I had more control over what I saw with the old iCal. I have less control now. I really dislike animation I can't control. Anyone know what I can do about that?

Those dates are read from the Capture Date filed that is in the acutal file. You can make the changes you want if you export those files to a folder on the desktop, run a 3rd party application on them and then reimport into iPhoto. Then delete the original, bad dated files.
The application that I use to batch change the dates is PhotoInfo. It will allow you to change any one or more of the date and time values by a given amount.

TO GET WEEKS for a given MONTH AND YEAR

Is there any FM to get the no of weeks for a given month, say 01 2005.
Can i get the week numbers say 1 2 3 4 5 for the given month and year.
Please let me know.

Hi Manohar,
Use FM DATE_GET_WEEK twice; first time pass first day of the month and again pass the last day of the month as a parameter. So u will be having week number(yyyyxx) for the first week of the month and week number for the last week of the month. From these two, in between week numbers u can easily fetch. I hope this will help u out.

Now i want to check, How many people were recruited in the team in the specified month and year? I have the storage table as follows:-

This should be a merge stored procedure that should update the data if it is present for the same month year and company and insert if that is not present?

It's not really clear where the merge to come into play. To get the RecruiterIndicator table from Employess, this query should do:

How can i get the month and year of the current open Periode?

At the beginning of each month the booking period for the new month was not open,but i need to book material automatically with the last day of the old month. The booking period will change at the first working day between 13 and 17 a clock. when the booking period was changed i have to book with the current date.
How can i do this ??

Can we modify the pnp selection screen and get only month and year?

              I have requirement where i have to modify the PNP selection screen. So with the help of report category and coding in AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT , i have modified all the fields relating to dates . i.e i have removed all the radio buttons (i.e Today, Current month,current year etc) and finally
i have landed with only Period ( PNPBEGDA & PNPENDDA range) . But i dont want the PNPBEGDA & PNPENDDA range , but i want only is the month and year ( i.e just like the PNPPABRP & PNPPABRJ)
on my selection screen along with the pernr .
i have used the below code to close all the fields except pnpbegda and pnpendda.

   The requirement is that the user doesnt want to enter the date range i.e for ex: 01012008 to 31012008.
As per the requirement the user will enter only the month and year only . so i on the selection screen
i want only the month and year only . Is there any means i can modify the date period which is there by
default (PNPbegda and PNPendda) on PNP selection screen. Instead of we givign to the user the
PNPBEGDA and PNPPENDA i want is only month and year .
AS already the code has already been written and now they have asked that they want only the month and year on the selection screen.
Please suggest me in this regard.If iam hiding all the buttons relating the dates fields, and now if iam adding the parameters for the month and year it is coming below below the fields pernr , personnel ara and subara , company code , payroll area, employee group of the standard fields of PNP selection screen , there by any body could please suggest me how to change.
