Open PO by requisitioner in output

I want to know the standard report to get open purchase orders based on requisioner. We can use ME2n by dynamic selection but in output also I need requisitiner field.

Hi,
There are two alternative solutions you should look into -
1) Either customize the standard program of ME2N to include "Requisitioner" field as part of the report output; or
2) Build up a new ABAP report.
As far as the size of effort is concerned, the first option is preferable.

I just added the output module to my bridge CC and now it won't open it was working fine before. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have restarted the computer. I have no idea what to do now.

Using Forms/Reports 11.1.2.0 on SLES11
If I generate the report output in PDF and the output is landscape, then openning the PDF up using web.show_document (in Adobe Reader) is fine and it shows in a wide format even if sometimes it doesn't show the whole width of the report.
If you generate a report in RTF format, then transfer the RTFdocument to the client using webutil, then open the RTF document with wordpad (again using webutil) then you can't seem to default the opening of wordpad to landscape mode. It only opens in portrait mode and the report is wrapped amd looks poor. Another option is to use MS Word and use a command line switch to run a macro that changes the format to landscape, but putting the macro in a 1000 user's Word envirnment might not be easy.
Are there any other ways to open an RTF format document in a wide format view such that the report is not wrapped within the wordprocessing environment?

I want to open a txt file and output data through an AO-using DAQmx for PXI

I have a PXI running a 8145RT CPU. I have a PX6040E Multifunction DAQ card installed in the PXI. I want to program an application where I open a txt file (existing in one of the the RT machines' folders), read the first row, and output its data through an AO channel. The drivers I should use is DAQmx v7.1, and the Labview RT v.7
Any idea?

What exactly are you having problems with? Reading a text file can be done a number of ways. Look at the File I/O palette and check out Read Lines From File or Read Characters From File. There are string to number conversion functions on the string palette (i.e. Scan From String). There are also numberous shipping examples on using DAQmx for analog out. If you have a specific problem or question, please post back with additional details.

How to enforce the encoding when opening a data set for output

Just would like to know if there are any means to enforce the encoding of the dataset opened for output. What I means is that if I use the following statement to craete a dataset for output
open dataset A for output in text mode encoding UTF-8 message MMMM.
It seems that if the content of the output dataset contains only English (or single byte) characters, the output dataset will be in ANSI encoding irregard of the option 'encoding UTF-8' specified in the open statement.
However, if the content contains some Asian (or double bytes) characters, the output dataset will be in UTF-8 encoding.
I would like to know if there are any means to enfore the encoding of the output dataset in both cases to be UTF-8 as I've specified in the open statement.

Patch 12415211 was applied to one of two web/form nodes in out EBS R12.1.2 environment long time ago, by using OPatch I believe.
I do not know that since the previous apps DBA left the company, and just followed Doc ID 761566.1 to apply patch 12415211 to the two nodes by using manual copy steps. Now. when I start all services on the node that had it applied before, I can not open the Request log and output html page. It gives below message. But, when we only use one node that did not have the patch applied before, all works fine. THe message is
!! WARNING !!! --> libgcc_s-2.3.2-stub.so
This is a stub library which can be used for linking only. It must *not* be used as a runtime library. Please make sure this library is not found in LD_LIBRARY_PATH
How can I fix the problem? I run sqlplus and start services without problem.

Browser closing when opening PDF output in Apps

Hello,
When opening the concurrent request/report output (for PDF output), the browser just closes.
The PDF output were generated thru XML Publisher (reports converted in XML Publisher - rtf).
PDF is defined in the Viewer Options/ System Options(Viewer). I could open PDF output by
pressing CTRL key while clicking on the output request Output button. It will give prompt on
whether to Open or Save the PDF.
Not sure if it's really related to XML Publisher, maybe more on concurrent request, but idea
will be very much appreciated.

To clarify what you posted:
When opening the PDF document, your browser closes. When pressing the control key and opening the document, you get a dialog window (with the choices of open or save). What happens when you select open?
This is browser behavior, nothing to do with this being a PDF file. Which browser and which platform? If you are using IE7, popup blocker is automatically enabled, and if you are viewing this on a 2003 server, you have server security settings to override. Pressing the control key allows popups.

SUPPLIER SITES OPEN INTERFACE rejected

i'm working on importing supplier sites on Oracle EBS R12. i have inserted a supplier 'ap_suppliers_int' and was successfully imported after i run "supplier open interface import". However, now when i'm trying to import a site for the same supplier 'ap_supplier_sites_int', the status within the ap_supplier_sites_int is show Rejected after i run the supplier sites open interface import, also the output of that request shows Zero imported and Rejected data. below is the insert sql i used for Supplier Sites:

Calling report from form. Need PDF output

I am calling a report from a form using RUN_PRODUCT. I need to display the form in PDF format. When the user clicks the button in the form to run the report, acrobat reader should open up and the report displayed there. Please help.

Thanks for the response. The first part worked. I am able to get the output in PDF format. In the 2nd part where I want to open acrobat and display the output, I am having some trouble with the code. When I compile, it says
win_api_environment.read_registry must be declared. Is there some package I need to attach?
Also, in the After reports trigger, how do I pass vFile (I am assuming this is the PDF file name)?

The first thing you'll want to do is pass parameters to the report IE DESTYPE, DESNAME and DESFORMAT where these could be FILE, 'c:\temp\report' and PDF.
Then, you can try this piece of code I wrote (with some help from other people at Metalink and here) sometime back. Now, I call it from forms, but in your case, you'd have to run it in the after report trigger. Since with RUN_PRODUCT you don't know when the report is finished, if you did it from the form, it wouldn't work correctly.

FILE HANDLING IN SAP
Introduction
Files on application server are sequential files.
Files on presentation server / workstation are local files.
A sequential file is also called a dataset.
Handling of Sequential file
Three steps are involved in sequential file handling
OPEN
PROCESS
CLOSE
Here processing of file can be READING a file or WRITING on to a file.
OPEN FILE
Before data can be processed, a file needs to be opened.
After processing file is closed.
Syntax:
OPEN DATASET <file name> FOR {OUTPUT/INPUT/APPENDING}
IN {TEXT/BINARY} MODE
This statement returns SY_SUBRC as 0 for successful opening of file or 8, if unsuccessful.
OUTPUT: Opens the file for writing. If the dataset already exists, this will place the cursor at the start of the dataset, the old contents get deleted at the end of the program or when the CLOSE DATASET is encountered.
INPUT: Opens a file for READ and places the cursor at the beginning of the file.
FOR APPENDING: Opens the file for writing and places the cursor at the end of file. If the file does not exist, it is generated.
BINARY MODE: The READ or TRANSFER will be character wise. Each time n characters are READ or transferred. The next READ or TRANSFER will start from the next character position and not on the next line.
IN TEXT MODE: The READ or TRANSFER will start at the beginning of a new line each time. If for READ, the destination is shorter than the source, it gets truncated. If destination is longer, then it is padded with spaces.
Defaults: If nothing is mentioned, then defaults are FOR INPUT and in BINARY MODE.
PROCESS FILE:
Processing a file involves READing the file or Writing on to file TRANSFER.
TRANSFER Statement
Syntax:
TRANSFER <field> TO <file name>.
<Field> can also be a field string / work area / DDIC structure.
Each transfer statement writes a statement to the dataset. In binary mode, it writes the length of the field to the dataset. In text mode, it writes one line to the dataset.
If the file is not already open, TRANSFER tries to OPEN file FOR OUTPUT (IN BINARY MODE) or using the last OPEN DATASET statement for this file.
IF FILE HANDLING, TRANSFER IS THE ONLY STATEMENT WHICH DOES NOT RETURN SY-SUBRC
READ Statement
Syntax:
READ DATASET <file name> INTO <field>.
<Field> can also be a field string / work area / DDIC structure.
Each READ will get one record from the dataset. In binary mode it reads the length of the field and in text mode it reads each line.
CLOSE FILE:
The program will close all sequential files, which are open at the end of the program. However, it is a good programming practice to explicitly close all the datasets that were opened.
Syntax:
CLOSE DATASET <file name>.
SY-SUBRC will be set to 0 or 8 depending on whether the CLOSE is successful or not.
DELETE FILE:
A dataset can be deleted.
Syntax:
DELETE DATASET <file name>.
SY-SUBRC will be set to 0 or 8 depending on whether the DELETE is successful or not.
Pseudo logic for processing the sequential files:
For reading:
Open dataset for input in a particular mode.
Start DO loop.
Read dataset into a field.
If READ is not successful.
Exit the loop.
Endif.
Do relevant processing for that record.
End the do loop.
Close the dataset.
For writing:
Open dataset for output / Appending in a particular mode.
Populate the field that is to be transferred.
TRANSFER the filed to a dataset.
Close the dataset.

Try transaction VA05. In that choose "Open Orders" along with other selection criteria.
If you want the Open sales order qty in output and its not displayed, do the following.
Sales -> System modification -> create new fields ( without condition technique) -> New fields for lists.
You can change V05TZZMO and structure VBMTVZ from there or use SE38 / SE11.
For both you'll need an object registration in OSS.

URGENT HELP:Reports Output in RTF Format

Hi,
I have a problem with Oracle Reports 3.0
I am generating a report output to a RTF file.
The report is output in landscape orientation in Reports Runtime
window.
But when I open the RTF document, the output is in
Portrait orientation and some of the information is getting out
of the view. If I manually change the orientation in the RTF
Page Setup, I am able to view the output properly.
Can this be automated by using some property/setup in Oracle
Reports 3.0?
Also, the BMPs are not visible in the RTF file.
Can anyone help me on these issues?

I dont think there is any help in HTMLDB for this. There is this technical note: http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/notes/technote_htmldb_fop.html I dont really like this approach.
You should consider using XML Publisher. Its a new Oracle product that is easy to use and really works! Actually its an Oracle Application product that is now standalone. Its much faster to use than making the xslt manually. You can make the templates in Word. We have a project where we dont make any templates. The customers make their own on each site.
There of cause is a licensing issue. Depending on you setup it can be expensive.

FS-CANT OPEN TEMPFILE issue in opening a concurrent program log file

Hi all,
I am working in Order Management authorization process in oracle apps 11i. After completion of order authorization , i did the shipping and delivery process in oracle Forms. During this Shipping and Delivery process the concurrent program gets error. (i.e status is : Completed -Error ).
Then i tried to open a concurrent program view log and view output file , but it shows following error in window.
Error: FS-CANT OPEN TEMPFILE.
I never did anything in server recently. But it throws the "FS-CANT OPEN TEMPFILE" error in forms while running the concurrent program.
Please Help How to resolve this issue.

Pl post details of OS, database and EBS versions, along with complete steps to reproduce the issue. Are there any errors in the database alert log or the concurrent manager log ? Has this ever worked before ? If so, what has changed since then ?
