Open PRs by date on ME41

Hi all,
while creating RFQ in tcode ME41, there is an option to create RFQ with reference of PR and that option also provide selection of open PRs only. I want to change this option as Open PRs on a particular date interval. Any idea to do this without any major customization?

There;s no config or setting to add range date in selection Ref to PR , you'll need to custom that, and its not recommended.Better use current selection(like tracking No, Purch group,Doc type,etc)

hello, friend.
a standard transaction is VA05 or VA05n to check on open orders.
if you need to check the database tables, you can check sales order status/header thru table VBUK. for item level, use VBUP. you will find fields such as reference status, delivery status, etc.

Cannot Open SQL from Data Prep Editor (SQL Interface)

When I Open SQL in Data Prep Editor: "There are no data sources defined. Please create one to continue."
I create a ODBC connections using the drivers bellow and I obtain always the same message ("There are no data sources defined.."):
Oracle in OraDb10g_home2
Microsoft ODBC for Oracle
MERANT OEM 5.2 32-BIT Oracle
I have installed and configured Essbase, release 11.1.1.2
Is posible that the SQL interface is not installed and configured with the Essbase Server?
How I can install and configure the SQL Interface? I need to do somethink else?

Through EAS select the server and right click and select properties. then go to the environment tab(I think) it should show everything you are licensed for. If this is a System 9 or higher, you should have it automatically. If it is 7X or below,then yoes it has to be licensed

What is the purpose of open/close connection data socket?

Hello everyone,
I am writing and reading values in OPC Server through data socket. What is the purpose of open/close connection data socket when writing /reading a value? Without the open/close connection element, it still work correctly. I am writing values in the server thru event stucture.I do not need any buffered reading or writing. What will happen if I didnt not use the open/close connection? Maybe it may cause some problems in my program which i didnt realise?

I was talking about something like that:
1. Not good. since with every iteration the DS connection needs to be opened and closed.
2. Good. Since you open the connection only once then do the reads and close it afterwords.

Running iOS 10.6.8 on a MacBook. Suddenly Moneydance will not open my account data files. Does anyone know how I can access that information again!?

I'm running iOS 10.6.8 on a MacBook. Yesterday (08/15/14) a software program, Moneydance, stopped opening my account data files. I've tried various ways of accessing them, but the software program is asking me to open an entirely new account (I only see the "Welcome" page). I can see files in my library, but they are grayed out. I am also trying to get help from the Software manufacturer. Could this be a software update complication?

Contact the program developer. Unless you did something yourself, I would suspect that the program developer made some sort of change. Without knowing anything about the application, it is a guess to try to determine what happened.

FBL5N - cleared document display by 'Open at key date'

We are on ECC 6.0 and have recently upgraded from SP9 to SP15 in Financials. The users are saying that the report S_ALR_87012198 (which works the same way as FBL5N transaction) is now displaying the cleared documents differently.
For example, we have the following documents:
- invoice (RV) with posting date 11/01/09 and clearing date 11/20/09;
- payment (DZ) with posting date = clearing date = 11/20/09.
When the users run the transaction or report for Cleared Documents by using Clearing Date 11/20/09, both documents are displayed. However, when the users run the transaction for Cleared Documents by using 'Open at Key Date' 11/20/09 then only invoice (RV) is displayed.
The documentation suggests that 'open at key date' should include items that are open before or on the 'key date'. Also our users are saying that it used to display both documents with 'Open at Key Date' before the service pack upgrade, but, unfortunately, we're unable to verify this.
Could someone with lower version please verify how 'open at key date' option works for cleared documents? And is there any documentation that explains this?

Thanks for your reply. Just to clarify - there are two 'Open at key date' fields in FBL5N. First field pertains to the 'Open documents' radio-button and second field - to the Cleared documents radio-button. When the users choose 'Cleared documents' and fill in the second 'Open at key date' field, they expect to see the items that are currently closed, but that were open on the specified key date. And SAP does, indeed, display them, just in a rather strange manner (it seems that DZ document is never "open", according to the screen's logic).
It seems that we'll need to write to SAP for clarification, but I was hoping that someone could at least verify whether this, in fact, has anything to do with the support packs.

Open conversions in data dictionary

Dear experts,
We have been trying to install an ST-PI package in an SAP system.However,it gives a warning saying "Open conversions in data dictionary". It says - Some open conversion requests still exists for the following ABAP data dictionary objects.To avoid inconsistencies and data losses you must process these conversions first.
Further it asks us to run the transaction SE14 which points towards the table GLPCA and says Index Z1 does not exist.
What can be the cause behind this?I do not have an ABAP background.So,hoping if you could help me out.

I have an issue with F.31
The following are the selection field
Credit Account
Credit control Area
checkbox checked for Overview list with Navigation
Check box checked for Balance
Check box checked for Special GL Balance
Checked Dunning Area
Selected Days in arrears X
selected Open items
Selected Intervals as Z02n (customized)
Entered Open at Key date
My issue is when I generated report it is defaulting to the current date rather the date mentioned in Open at Key date

What you mentioned option do it (Before Executing ) Select the Save button.
Give the Variant Name & Meaning Text.
If any settings look the Object for Selection fields.
Save the Varient.
When you are executing the report Select the Get Varient Button beside the execute button.
Select the Varient and Execute.
OR
Select the Lay out button and configure as you Require.
OR
Develop the New Report with ABAP'rs.

Concept to retrieve GL for open at key date (back date)

Dear All,
Need help in finding the concept for retrieving the GL items for open at key date (back date).
I have a requirement to retrieve all the open items of GL at particular date.Please help me to write a query to retrieve those items which are present in BSAS table opened till that particular date.
For example : suppose I need to find all the open items of GL till date 01.01.2014.Then we need to retrieve from BSAS table also.What will be the fetching criteria to retrieve from BSAS table.

As Jelena & Nabheet mentioned, these details are already available in standard transactions FBL3N or FAGLL03.
One question is why do you need this report.
i) In case, you need to display only selected fields, you can ask the user to create a layout variant. If you want additional fields, there are BTE's available to add extra fields in the transaction. Other option is to create a custom report, call FBL3N transaction using submit statement and then read the runtime ALV data in the calling program.
ii) If you are using it in smartforms print program, It is always better to copy the logic from FBL3N than extracting data from BSIS & BSAS tables as that won't always give correct results ( Explanation given below ).
For some GL's , accounting data does not get stored in tables BSIS & BSAS. Configuration in GL master decides whether accounting document's detail will get stored in indexed tables BSIS & BSAS or not.
Transaction FS00 ( GL master data)
If line item display checkbox is ticked- GL accounting details will get stored in BSEG, BSIS & BSAS.
If line item display checkbox is not set - GL accounting details will be available only in BSEG.

Methods of opening emailed form data

Hi, I would like to know if there is any way to streamline opening data submitted using the submit email function in LiveCycle Designer 7. Is there anyway to have the data open in the form automatically when the email is received from the customer? It seems quite tedious to rename and save the data file, then go find the appropriate pdf, open it, and then go and import the data. Any ideas???

No absolutely not. Mail programs have locked out this kind of thing
very strongly - it would be like saying "how can I have this program
run automatically when I attach it and send it to a customer".

That sounds a bit tedious, though perhaps necessary if there is to be
any kind of system to storing the files you receive (this is why web
solutions are so much more preferable).
But in general you don't have to open the PDF then import the data IF
the PDF was originally on a web site. Opening the form data will be
enough, as it will contain the URL of the original data file. This
won't work, however, if you sent the user a local copy to fill, as it
will contain the filename THEY used.
